[NEWS] Japanese JYJ fans speak up about their concern

January 14, 2011 · JYJ3 Team

We reported earlier on JYJ not being blocked from broadcast. The article has been translated into many languages, including Japanese. When Japanese fans read this article, they expressed concern and said that they did not know the situation was so bad.

Many expressed disappointment that JYJ could not promote in Japan because Avex had dropped managing the JYJ members. Many Japanese fans believe that JYJ has to resolve their issues with Avex before they even attempt to mend matters with SM Entertainment.

Many Japanese fans credit the Hallyu wave in Japan to all five members of TVXQ, and wants to see them reunited and working together again. Do you miss JYJ in Japan?

This is one area that nobody discusses
it seems like the Homin fans are counting on B.E support to succeed in Japan
I still dont understand how in such a short space of time JYJ can get so many anti fans within bigeast where Jae and Chun are the most popular and even junsus solo cracked 220 000

AGREE…. please protect jyj in japan please…. BE must know the true… not just sugarcoating whatever by SMe and homin…. GOD i really want to hate homin in this state…. if i don’t remember the love of JYJ oppa for homin, i think i couldn’t hold it anymore!!!
i wanna jyj oppa proud of us their fans… for not bashing like “….” fans… i just wanna be like jyj oppa who have pure, kind and beautifull heart…..
it hurts so much to see them hurt T______T

Indeed. I heard that is was the handiwork of HoMin fans spreading malicious rumours and hearing this makes one worry. If the fans reflect on the artists or that artists draw like-minded fans, then where does this leave HoMin?

Ah… I’m slowly descending the dark stairway of becoming an anti-fan of HoMin because of their fans… How can human beings be so malicious and hurtful? Ahh…

      • silentxwishes
        January 15, 2011 Reply

I agree. When I was a TVXQ5 stan previously I always found it difficult to support Homin because majority of their fans tend to be overly defensive and everyone who speaks good of JYJ/mentions JYJ = JYJ supporter.

But don’t go down the stairway of being an anti, being an anti (in my opinion) sucks a lot of the positivity out of the fandom. As long as Homin fans (the malicious ones) keep their actions within control I’ll just be indifferent. :) Hwaiting.

I never trust anything about people quoting Japanese fans because Bigeast is different from any other country’s fan base. Bigeast is an official fanclub, which means it is run by Avex. They completely control the leadership of the fanbase. In every other country the fanbase is independent which means there is freedom to choose who you like and what you want to say. As soon as Avex dropped JYJ they started with all this anti JYJ stuff and promoting TVXQ2. I question even the source in this article’s term “many Japanese fans.”

      • Eliza
        January 14, 2011 Reply

It’s the same in Korea. Cassiopeia is the SME sponsored fanclub, which is why it could announce that it’s only going to support TVXQ2 despite the wishes of most of the fanbase.

There is a difference between a fanclub and the fanbase. Just because the fanclub executive says one thing doesn’t mean that the rest of the fanbase has to go along with it. They can leave the club, it’s not a long-term contract with large penalties. ;)

I think JYJ will have a huge following in Japan. They have the support of not just the fans but the media and people in the industry. All they have to do is wait to get there.

I don’t think the power of independent choice is given enough credit.

Because HoMin fans know they lost in Korea, so the only place left to save their bias is sabotaging JYJ reputation even though they are the more popular members in Japan. It’s more like K HoMin fans are solidifying J HoMin fans as themselves in korea but also in Japan. That’s just to tell you, no matter what country JYJ are the more loved and popaular members so will HoMins next sabotage be all of ASIA??? LOL

Can I said I’m truly disappointed in bigeasts?! Can’t believe they are turning against jyj just because of some stupid rumors spreading around?! Goodness and to think that majority of them are older also. ‘shake head in shame’. That kind of supporters don’t stick with you for long so it’s either now or later that they will leave anyways. Jyj deserve so much better supporters than that.

I think this is the time Japanese fans need someone who speaks fluent and understand both Korean-Japanese-English to translate news/article to them. Cuz this is very important for them to know what we know, at least for them to catch up with current situations. This is not an order/command for them to take side but it is important for them to realize how bad the current situations are.

  10. Jimmie
    January 14, 2011 Reply

Hmmmm…I keep hearing that most of Japan is now anti-JYJ but every random Japanese fan that drops by the Korean JYJ fan café/board once in a while always vehemently denies that saying they don’t know where that idea originated. I think the bigger success of the antis is convincing Koreans/i-fans that Japan has turned anti-JYJ rather than in actually turning Japan anti-JYJ. I was even more convinced that the Japanese are following and watching over JYJ when I was asked to translate that article written by the Korean-American lawyer on JYJ and the Law on the American Agency…the article had first been translated into Japanese and I got the Korean transcript from that Japanese blog.

Not to mention, there was a group of Japanese ahjummas who flew over for Yoochun’s awards ceremony. And they keep bringing Tohoshinki up to 2nd place in every poll. I really appreciate the Japanese fandom right now ^^.

        January 14, 2011 Reply

I think it’s because of the background of CJES’ director, Mr. Back. Something about his father as member of Mafia or what. But the thing is, ever since CJES become JYJ’s agency, nothing CJES did was more mafia like than what SME did. If CJES has such powerful background, why didn’t they have any power on any broadcasting stations or at least on the releasing of Korean albums?

I met a few bigeast at jyj’s showcase who followed them from korea, bangkok, singapore and malaysia. I asked them about bigeast’s react to avex’s reasons for dropping jyj and they told me they didn’t believe avex.

Now i think i can understand why there was rumours about cjes demanding extra money from the local organisers during bangkok and malaysia showcase, it must be the work of those anti’s or whose’s fans.

It’s a pity that these whose’s fans were spreading false info and the karma is reflected on their idols. They should be spreading love like jyj’s fans.

We can’t be sure yes but I am with Jimmie here…maybe there are rumors going around in Japam but I don’t think most of the turned antiJYJ. Japan is JJ’s castle just like Korea is Junsu’s castle so… Remember Tokyo Dome and A nation last year…I don’t think these fans can turn into anti just because of rumours but yes, maybe we should translate more news to Japanese and let them now. I hope someone who knows Japanese can hear and help us!

They don’t have to come back with Avex. But they do have to wait until their contract expires before going with another company. I think it was only a one year contract, that’s why they aren’t bothering with trying to get out of it, they will just wait it out.

Well, Koreans have the reputation of being fiery, but at the same time, for us (especially the younger generation) it’s “out of sight, out of mind.” It always surprises me that in Japan, Tohoshinki is still on every poll in a very high place, despite not being active in japan for over a year now. THAT would never happen in Korea…out of sight, out of mind over here…the fieryness of Koreans and the steadiness of the Japanese…each have their place ^^
