C-Jes released an announcement that confirmed that (1) DVD will be released, but to the C-Jes Members only, and (2) Special Videos will be first made public at the C-Jes Membership website.

On Announcement Regarding JYJ Fan Meeting DVD
Hello.
We thank you fans who attended the first fan meeting of C-Jes Membership, JYJ’s Sweet Date.
The video of the fan meeting will be produced as a DVD and will be released to the Members at a shocking price.
Special Videos made at the Fan Meeting also will be, in turn, be made public first by the Membership Page.
Therefore we had announced that we disallow taking of pictues and videos, and we had also guided you to the maximal extent not to do so.
Because this event was different from other performances in that it was an event only for the Members, we ask (other) fans to kindly understand.
Also, on points which were lacking or caused inconvenience, please email us at the following and we will apply them to improve the next event. E-mail: webmaster@c-jes.com
Lastly, we inform you on the memorabilia that will be given to the Members of the C-JeS Membership. Currently, the Membership Card has been produced but we are preparing (still) in order to replace the picture in the memorabilia that will be give (to Members) at the same time.

I just emailed cjes, to open it’s door for ifans… I wouldn’t mind if I can’t receive their news letters, or won’t be able to attend their fanmeeting since it’s in Korea, but at least I’ll be able to purchase their special offers to members only, just like this one, the DVD for the 1st fanmeeting.

Because if there is a membership you have to pay for, then they need to get something for their money… It wouldn’t be worth being a member if you don’t have something non-members can’t get. I hope this rumour is true. Anything with live performances of the boys is a must-buy for me, though I’m still searching for funds to buy Junsu’s Musical DVD, but I will find money in the end, I always do >_<

I had a feeling it would be this way. It’s the same like with BigEast fanmeetings and DVDs with those, only for members, who pay the membership fees for special priveleges etc.
DVD will end up available for downloading sooner or later, just like with BigEast fanmeetings, only in that case neither the boys nor C-JeS won’t get a penny…

this is the same like biggest fanmeet in japan right, the video of fanmeet only available for biggest membership not for sale for other fan that not the member. but i hope they will release it so international fan can buy it & i will give them profet to.
That’s really frustrating. I keep trying to join C-jes membership, but only parts of the page are in English. The important parts are in Korean, & I’m not going to sign up for something I can’t read or understand – not even for my beloved JYJ. That’s something C-jes needs to do something about for all of us ifans.
It’s no use anyway since it will ask for your Korean social security number or somethig like that so only people living in Korea can sign up for membership! CJeS explained that they haven’t opened membership for i-fans because i-fans cannot enjoy the some benefits of membership like going to fanmeeting and stuff! But honestly I just want to see the darn pictures on their website and buy the DVD as other Korean fans!! I’ll pay the same and I don’t mind at all! Just open membership for I-fans already!!!!

I’ve been doing the same thing too! What’s frustrating is they teased us to join on Feb 14th just to then tell us, wait. Well, we’ve been waiting. We already are not able to attend the events and our only relief is to see them through DVDs. If they want to limit something to members then they should allow the ones who want to be a member but not able to. I am disappointed.. really..

C-JES is a PR firm.. they helpe released the worldwide album.. they are very much aware the importance of i-fans.. The i-fans submitted the recent petition right? But they have to take things a step at a time.. it’s easier to organize korean fans that ifans but for sure they’ll make the DVD avail for everyone only that it is discounted for members so that they enjoy their benefits..
They said that they are working out creating a system for Ifans so we have to trust them,, JYJ trusts them.. and JYJ love their fans around the world.. i dont think that there is a single minute they not thought of us.. C-jes does not control JYJ.. and JYJ jas a lot of say with projects that CJES releases.. just trust JYJ and wait patiently..

I feel left out. How about us ifans! Can’t we enjoy their videos too? I dnt care if I’m not a member w/ much privilege as Kfans but please make the DVDs available for us! If they don’t open membership for ifans then they should make DVDs available! I can’t go to their concerts, I dnt see them in television how do they expect me to feel closer to them…. i think avex did the same thing with bigeast, remember that bigeast always got special dvd for them ? but they also sold the dvds to other fans who are not bigeast, but with different price. i’m pretty sure jyj will not left out their int’l fans, will wait for further notice from c-jes…

There’s nothing wrong with criticizing with the point of improving something. JYJ is about to start their international tour, for C-JeS to forget to say something to their international fans who cannot get a membership is not a good thing. I don’t want JYJ and C-JeS to use SME and Avex as a model for how they deal with international fans, I want them to be better. We have to tell them how they can be better. At least with C-JeS, we know we have a chance of being heard.

CJes needs to update this announcement. I understand that they are giving privileged to their members. But its not wise to make non members feel unappreciated. I dont want them to alienate jyj fans just like SM did. Its not so much of the ifans I’m worry about, its th kfans. We ifans are kinda used to this anyway LOL /bitter
Already written my request to C-jes because I want this dvd and also one of the concert The Beggining. The only option we have international fans, is seeing them through the TV screen, so hopefully they turn the focus and not leave us behind.

This situation sucks, but I’m unclear on why it’s unfair when this is how Asian fanclubs have been operating for years? Saying that “this is how SME/Avex did it” is not really valid because it’s not a practice that is limited to those two companies.
C-Jes is not out to get international fans. They are doing this because this is what they deem fair. It’s possible that they will release a regular edition for everyone, or perhaps when they figure out the international membership perks, gaining access to these recordings will be one of them.
Until then, be patient. Don’t jump all over them at the first thing you don’t like when it’s clear that they don’t even have everything set in stone yet. Right now, the White Day footage probably just got to the editing room, so you know. Wait it out a little.
Just because it’s always been done this way doesn’t mean it’s unfair. It’s just always been unfair. It’s not that the DVD is only available to members that’s the problem, it’s that membership isn’t open to all fans that’s unfair.
What makes JYJ and C-JeS different from the rest of the K-pop/J-pop world is that their international fans actually make a difference in their business plan. They are about to go on an international tour, their I-fans have signed a petition to support their court case, it is their international profile that makes them unique. They must remember to show some consideration to the fans that aren’t Korean, even if it is something as small as reminding us that we haven’t been forgotten.

But I think opening membership to ifans is not as simple as ifans are making it to be. We have to factor in the fact that SIN is required which ifans do not have . So Cjes has to find a way to work around that which am sure the logistics of it is not that easy or fast enough to come up with a solution.
Its sucks for sure but the aspect of SIN is something that cjes has no control over. As international fans we want more fairness but will also have to take into account certain logistics of how korean system functions. Am sure cjes will eventually find a way or just sell the product at a higher price to ifans.
But they’ve already said that they’re working on the specifics for the international fanclub. Japanese and Korean fanclubs have always been very exclusive to residents only (this is not something that is limited to fanclubs/idol culture, as this standard also applies to things such as online shopping, e.g. yahoo!jp auctions). Of course it would be nice to be considered, but there is still a huge gap between the domestic and international fanbases and the fact that C-Jes has even bothered with the stuff that’s already up (having multiple languages available for the site, if incomplete) is leaps and bounds more than what is offered by other artists.
No one is actively looking to screw over international fans, but incorporating international fans is new for them and we’re probably not a priority right now.
I don’t think there’s anything wrong with contacting them and requesting that the DVD be available to all fans, especially since int’l fans don’t have much access to begin with, but once you step into “hey, I did this stuff, so now I’m entitled“, that’s a whole different game.
If it’s a SIN problem, couldnt we give our passport number instead? many asian websites do like this..
Anyway, I mailed C-JeS earlier.. I am still upset about their decision, but I regret to have mailed them.. feeling very embarassed for whining.. particularly nowadays

Actually, I know some fanclubs ask for it.. My sister who is Lee Seung Gi fan wanted to become member of his fanclub, and international fans are asked to mail the websmaster their passport details for registration..

This is slightly OT but,
you guys are too quick to jump down someones throat. I’m quite baffled by people who expect Cjes to be able to get things done more quickly and effciently than companies that have been running for years. It is a major undertaking for them to do an international tour/open membership benefits to international fans when JYJ spend most their time in Asia/Korea. SM/AVEX/YG etc have never done something on that scale with all the resources they have, and yet somehow you all expect Cjes to be able to pull it off when and how you want it to happen? And extra information for those international fans that were so quick to critisize the locations of the world tour: Cjes has looked into getting concert venues in places like Sweden apparently…one person put on their tumblr that they’d asked about it and were looking to see how much interest there was into having a concert there from fans. That message never got reblogged from what I saw and was not widely spread. To have concerts you need people to be there or you loose money. There have been instances where fans themseleves have dropped the ball. The showcases weren’t even full at certain venues. You all are quick to make petitions yourseleves but actual inquiries from promoters sometimes go unnoticed. Before you all just complain, actually think about the logistics of what you are asking for. Everything is not as easy to pull off as some fans make it out to seem and when things don’t go smoothly you all are quick to throw someone under the bus and deem them incompetent. I think this company is doing the best it can. Giving constructive crticism is good, to whine about being left out, is short-sighted, and doesn’t get you any closer to what you want.
This fandom is trigger happy. Analyze a situation thouroughly before you target something or someone.
