A Twitter petition calling for JYJ’s appearance on popular American TV program “The Ellen Degeneres Show” was recently created. Titled “What are you waiting for? Let’s get JYJ on The Ellen Show!”, the petition has accumulated more than a thousand signatures in just one day.
The petition’s page includes a description: JYJ – Jaejoong Kim, Yoochun Park and Junsu Kim – is a vocal group from South Korea whose popularity not only resides in their home country, but around the world. JYJ released their first English album titled, “The Beginning,” on October 2010 and worked with famous American artists and producers, such as Kanye West and Rodney Jerkins, who helped produced, “Ayyy Girl” and “Empty,” respectively. After their album was released, they held their first successful worldwide showcase in seven countries, including North America. Even though JYJ had visas issues for their North American tour, they still decided to continue on with the show and perform free concerts for their fans (1) (2) (3). 6,400 fans showed up at the New York showcase. 3,400 made it inside the theater and there were still 3,000 fans outside waiting for the three members. They were also featured on the cover of Billboard’s Magazine and their album ranked #5 for Billboard’s album of the year. One of the members even beat Justin Bieber for “Best Celebrity” for the Shorty Awards on Twitter! As fans, we want to give back more than what they gave us. It would be a dream come true for JYJ and the fans to see them Ellen. We promise that you won’t regret it. “Always Keep the Faith!”
Cassies have attempted many times to get the five members of TVXQ on the famous American talk show. In the “Send Ellen Your International Music Suggestions!” event that took place in early 2010, TVXQ was suggested over 20,000 times. Thanks to fans all over the world, TVXQ was chosen as the singer with the most suggestions. But according to the the show’s homepage, the singer with the most suggestions may be asked to appear on the show. Due to the controversy between JYJ and the other two members of DBSK at the time, they were unable to take that opportunity.
