JYJ Tops off the Closing Ceremony for Daegu World Champsionships. “Picnic” Out to Public TV Through Celebratory Performance
Group JYJ has topped off the closing ceremony of the World Track and Field Championships in Daegu in a splendid fashion.
The closing ceremony of the World Track and Field Championships in Daegu 2011 which held focused the attention of the international community for 9 days after launching on the 27th was held in Daegu Stadium on the afternoon of the 4th.
On this day, JYJ stood on the stage of the closing ceremony as the representative singers of Korea and sung Empty. JYJ’s performance melded with the spectacular fireworks that decorated the night and added to the excitement of the closing ceremony.
The athletes who participated in the Championships and the fans from all around the world who filled the Daegu Stadium enjoyed the festival, cheering and letting their shoulders rock.
For the World Track and Field Championships in Daegu 2011, The USA became the 5th consecutive composite winner with 12 gold medals, 8 silvers, and 5 bronzes. In the closing ceremony, the baton of the championships was passed to Moscow which is the location for the 2013 Championships.

I’m so proud of jyj ! And the yeaaaaah the true kings are back !! Seriously they ROCKED the stage !! I really really loved the performance even though I didn’t get to see it live T_T .. Sigh
I think maybe, just maybe KBS didnt air Get Out because the song wasnt in any of JYJ’s album yet. Airing it might cause lost to JYJ themselves. But, maybeeeeee~

LMAO! I love how you added “unnecessary” before fireworks. But I agree, they were completely unnecessary! Took away from our boys!! Regardless, they did awesome!

I’m confused here, did KBS cut Get Out due to lack of time or what? Why was it shown in international broadcasts? Were they afraid to air a JYJ-composed song in Korean that is so daebak??? hehehe

Hello there Eliza! Yeah that’s what I was thinking. Because anyone with half a mind for music will instantly recognize that this is such a great party/anthem song and once word gets out that this is actually composed by Jaejoong himself that’s just gonna add a novel appeal to it right?
How awesome it would be be if they can actually perform this song REGULARLY in all those music shows in Korea once their album is out. They will just eat the competition alive!!! No offense to all other idols who can compose their own songs but this is just way better!!!! Sigh….

Am so proud of the boys’ performance. Though it suck to have Get Out cut off, I’m at least glad that Empty was aired. It is an improvement and I hope this is a good start!
