I really hope I can do what I’ve been dying to do since last year- go to Korea and learn Korean for at least 6 months….And I’m going to make sure I’ll be doing that this year no matter what.
I think the interviewer asked Yoohwan how he feels about the ceremony and he said that he was nervous. She then asked who he thinks would win for the best new actor category and Yoohwan said he truthfully thinks his hyung is going to win and Yoochun added that he thinks he would win too….roflmao…dorks!

About learning Korean, I’ve been thinking of posting some mini lessons on Korean every day, but I wasn’t sure how much interest there would be. Plus, I don’t know Korean myself, so I’d have to borrow the lessons from another website, probably Talk To Me In Korean, and put links to their lessons and supplemental materials. (It’s a great site.)
One stumbling block is that I’d have to make up some lessons on reading Hangeul first, because learning Korean is pretty much hopeless if you can’t read it. I’m not sure how many letters people could learn at a time though.
So anyone interested on learning with me? We could do it together, a bit at a time! ^_^

You’re with me!?! ^_^ I’m always on here anyways when the new GAPPs go up, so I can just post the mini-lesson near the top every day, and since we have a lot of people here from all over the world, those that know Korean can correct anything that’s wrong and add their insights.
Seriously, just learning to read Hangeul has helped me enjoy the things I was watching better. On variety shows, they’re always splashing captions all over everything, and now I don’t have to wonder so much what it says. I can catch if it’s just added laughter like ㅋㅋㅋ (kekeke) or 하하하 (hahaha), or if they’re just putting the people’s names up, or if they’re saying basic vocabulary like sarang/love.

@bubbly Yeah, changing my name to 서베린 (seobehrin) was just a bit of fun when I was learning to read Hangul. But I didn’t mislead you! From my first post on the matter, “Plus, I don’t know Korean myself, so I’d have to borrow the lessons…So anyone interested on learning with me? We could do it together, a bit at a time!”
I started learning Korean because I got frustrated with the subs when I was watching dramas. After watching for a while, I’d picked up a few words, and I kept having to say, “That’s not what they said! That’s not what he called him!”
But this’ll be cool! I’ll start either on tomorrow or the next day’s GAPP. I have to get some stuff together first. ^_^

@bubbly Yeah! I’ve been thinking about this for a while, and now I have two people signed up who want to learn with me. That’s awesome! I just need to decide how I’m going to present the alphabet. I think it’s really important to learn to read it because most words just don’t make sense or are overwhelmingly long when romanized.
PLUS, roman letters don’t really make the same sounds as Hangul letters, so relying on reading everything romanized will only make our pronounciation bad.
PLUS PLUS, Korean dictionaries don’t romanize things anyways, so if you wanted to look something up, you’d be SOL.
AND there’s not exactly a standard way to romanize Korean words, so the results can be all over the map.
I want to take Talk To Me in Korean’s lessons, add links back to the original lesson so people can listen to the pod casts they do with every lesson and look around there more (it’s a great site), and then add JYJ references and examples for every lesson to make it more fun. Most of us have memories like steel traps when it comes to JYJ anyways, lol! ^_^
I also want to make lists and online flashcards to help us build vocabulary.
