i love it when JYJ gets more coverage overseas. then maybe when the south korean entertainment industry finally realises it, jyj is already uncontainable in just south korea. when they finally want jyj, jyj is not there anymore (aka too busy touring all over the world)

Kanye West’s rapping sucks in Ayyy Girl, without him the song will be much better. Anyway, I am proud to be JYJ’s fan!
can i confess something? i cut out kanye’s rapping from ayyy girl and used that edited song everywhere in my ipod and handphone. can’t stand it.

When I heard the rap part of Ayyy girl by Yoochun in the concert, all I can think is “Why don’t you rap this part yourself, It’s like I’m in heaven when I hear you rap this Yoochun-Ah~~~TT”

because Kanye has (in my opinion) NEVER taken an interest in JYJ. Tha’dude got paid to interject some crappy rapping on a single song, then (unlike his hyper-ego’d self) shut the hell up for any promotions. In retrospect, that’s probably an exellent thing for the guys….so yeah, Kanye…stay away from the perfection that is JYJ with your microphone grabbing self.

It’s a credit to even have him be connected to the boys. Fans sometimes acts too proud without knowing what’s good for the boys. If JYJ didn’t think the association will do them credit, they wouldn’t have worked with him in the first place. I bet he got the other composers and lyricist to help complete the album for the boys.

Oh I thought I’m the only one thinking about that! And why does everybody not liking Ayy Girl, it’s a better song compared to all those boring sounds alike “most” popular kpop songs out there. Ayy Girl has a new feeling, unique song structure and I think many fans like it as shown on their live singing with JYJ during the their concerts. And I agree with LoveUnchanged…
I agree with you. I love the song and the way JYJ performs it live. The fans really seem to enjoy it live. I too feel it has a new feeling and unique song structure. So far their association with Kanye West and Rodney Jerkins is paying off. I cannot wait to hear what JYJ comes out with next.
I absolutely love how they perform it live! The song has such a cool vibe, I would really love it if they made more songs like that. I remember when it came out lots of people were making fun of Kanye’s rap and the boys’ English but I liked it a lot from the start

I only mildly like “Ayyy Girl”, but it’s no worse than some of the other KPOP songs out there right now. It’s only the MV that was truly horrific (which I blame on their lack of experience/funds). Just think, without his collaboration, JYJ wouldn’t have been mentioned in this two big newspapers right now.
Also, at that time JYJ was blocked from both Korea and Japan. I am just thankful that someone helped them produce this album in the English market because that was their only option at that time. It wasn’t a perfect album, but it jump-started their activities again: it got their name out there, allowed them to have their own songs (therefore their own concerts/tours), and that album put them back on stage.

I loved his rap, personally. But then, I’ve always been a Kanye West Fan. Anywho. Ayy Girl was a great song. Good, catchy beat. The Beginning was a wonderful album ~ And I really want another worldwide album, even better if Kanye West wishes to work with the boys once more ~

I agree with you, I have a lot of English albums, in terms whole album listening pleasure. TB is one of my few favorites.
Agree with you i like and enjoy for ‘The Beginning’ album a lot because this is first english album for them and songs in this album are sound difference from other song they sang before. Sorry i can’t explain my feeling more but i think you know that when you first listen a new song from europe or u.s. side…thanks ^^

So…alot of fans don’t like Kanye or his rapping in “Ayyy Girl”, but personally I happened to like it. I’m actually a fan of Kanye. I don’t care much for his attitude or his actions sometimes, but all I care about is his music. All I can say is, that man knows how to make huge hits. I feel he’s one of the better rappers right now. I’m excited to hear him do more with the boys. I think it could be a good thing.
I like Kanye West too. I’m not much into rap but I like his music. I think he just lost it for a while after his mom died and he became a drunk a**. He seemed to have calmed down a bit now.
I didn’t like Ayy Girl at all when I first listened to it but I loved it when JYJ performed it live.

I actually kinda like Kanye’s rap too in Ayy Girl the sound at least, but it didn’t sound like he tried to much. I really liked The Beginning overall as an album so I’d like to hear more from Rodney and Kanye in the future.
I don’t hate Kanye… he has done some things I like & I have bought at least one of his cds.
TBS… the biggest problem I had with Ayyy Girl was the original arrangement. JYJ almost sounded like background singers. It became a better song after they tweaked it, added the harmonies & put Kanye’s part towards the back of the song instead of at the front.
Unfortunately there’s isn’t a fix for that Ayyy Girl video.
Oh, and I had no prob with the video…JYJ in TIGHT WHITE…Yeah!

Well we’re gonna love ‘em no matter what but I have to say the makeup & styling was too over the top for an international debut & the CGI effects were not that great. I’m sure part of their agreement with Kanye was that his song would be the feature song on the album but there were others on it that IMO were far more deserving.

@dbullocky Spot on! I agreed what you had said! And when the guys sang the song live, it was soo good! When I first watched the MV, I cringed and thought they should shot better than this but not sure why now, I find Junsu in that “apron” (Ayy Girl, dinner is served on meee ~~ Simons’ style LOL!) is so sexy that I wish Yuchun and Jejung would wear it.
Love him or hate him; working with Kanye can do a lot for the boys. The music industry is kinda sweet on KW right now, so while both these artists are hot, a collaboration can’t hurt!
Is Kanye West really going to work more with JYJ? “Ayy Girl” isn’t his best work and his rap part in the beginning kinda weird, but it isn’t a bad song. And honestly, I enjoy “The Beginning” album more than “In Heaven”. I think it wouldn’t harm the boys to work another project with KW. Maybe this time round KW can let them “guest” in his own album. ^^
But anyway, Super Junior, the largest boyband in SK? They were, but not anymore. There’s another boyband debut last year consist of 21 boys, A-Peace. Never heard about that? I also never heard about them before I read a review about last year’s debuts. Lol. “Bubble Pop”, well, it’s actually a nice bubblegum pop song. I like the dubstep. But Hyuna’s vocal drives me crazy and some parts are really unnecessary. ><

i honestly don’t know. i read them below one of the “worst debut”, so yeah… i think that’s it.
there’s a whole lot of cry cry “Kanye sucks” and “Oh noez! Kanye wants to work with JYJ again! TEH HORROR” esque comments here. First of all, Ayy Girl wasn’t a bad song; it shines when JYJ performs it live and I honestly believe that’s what Kanye made the song for. Secondly, hate on him all you want but he brought a lot of attn to JYJ b/c Kanye is popular and people pay a lot of attn to what he’s going to say. Name dropping JYJ can only help them. As the saying goes, never look a gift horse in the mouth, or, an even better one: don’t burn your bridges because you never know when you might need to cross over them again.
P.S: I actually don’t like Kanye
I’ll give props for Kanye’s attention getting hype…but I honestly don’t think he’s any better for JYJ than having Snoop Dog rap on an SNSD song.
My overall opinion is that RAP is not neccessary in every Kpop song….or in any song. (and I actually DO like Rap, when done well) I think Yoochun can do it all by himself. ☮ ♥

It would be cool if Kanye West and JYJ worked together again. I would love it if Jay-Z featured on a JYJ song. Or maybe they can collab with Beyonce. I am looking forward to what will come of this second meeting of JYJ and Kanye West.
This time it will be more awesome because JYJ has gotten a grasp of the english language (pronounciation) and the song writers and composers has also gotten an idea on what fans want.
I just want JYJ to release a great album. If that means Kanye West or not I don’t know but I’d rather they don’t work with Kanye West or any other western artist until their English becomes much better! I’ve seen improvement but I still don’t think they are ~quite~ there yet.

I do not think the guys would work together with people where you do not like. Likewise, I think that in the coming months will rethink their own country. Popularity JYJ takes unprecedented dimensions and I hope the guys with all that can be done. They not only work hard but also the fans ^ ^
