Queen of OSTs, Baek Ji Young, has participated in the OST for ‘Rooftop Prince‘.
Baek Ji Young’s agency WS Entertainment stated, “Baek Ji Young will be participating in the OST of the new SBS drama ‘Rooftop Prince’, and her song will be the main title track.”
Baek Ji Young’s “After a Long Time Has Passed” will be the love theme song for the main characters played by Park Yoochun and Han Ji Min. It has been revealed that skilled composer Park Jung Wook wrote this song with Baek Ji Young in mind as the one to sing it.
Baek Ji Young stated, “I ended up participating in this OST due to the music director of ‘Secret Garden’. I have read the drama’s synopsis and script, and thought the story was really good and fun, so I confidently chose to participate.”
It is well known that all the dramas that Baek Ji Young has sang OSTs for has become huge hits, so the anticipation for the upcoming drama has risen. She has been dubbed as the ‘Queen of OSTs’ for singing for hit dramas like KBS’ ‘Iris’, ‘The Princess’ Man’, SBS‘ ‘Secret Garden’, and MBC‘s‘Greatest Love’. The singer also swept the awards for the OST categories last year.

I love Baek Ji Young’s voice. I really like Ali’s song Hurt. I also love Jay Park’s song at the end of the drama. Can’t wait to hear who else will have OSTs for the drama. It would be cool if John Park and/or Ailee also had a song for the drama.

I love the feel of ALI (Hurt), it fits the historic part of the story very well. And BJY has the best voice for bringing out the right emotions of a song. Nice!
as much as i love baek ji young, cant help but to be a little dissapointed. this also means very little chance for a yoochun/jyj ost. even if there is one, there’s no chance of them singing it on sbs drama awards this year, cuz i’m 100% confident baek jiyoung will be asked to perform since its the main tittle track
