JYJ Philippines had its 1st Fan Gathering last April 21, 2012 at Discovery Suites, Ortigas Center, Pasig City. It was a dream that turned into reality for us. We’ve always wanted to organize a fan gathering for JYJ fans here in the Philippines but we were not sure where to start. However, a lot of fans were asking for it and we took it as a sign that it’s time to organize one. Everything we had in mind for the event turned into a reality and the outcome was more than what we expected.
We called it THE BEGINNING: The JYJ Philippines 1st Fan Gathering because just like JYJ’s English album, this is also a beginning for us for something bigger and better. The purpose of this event is to meet other JYJ Lovers and get to know more about each other. Some fans only talk online and this was the best time for everyone to meet personally and spazz with all the glory of JYJ.
The event started with a prayer as we thanked the Lord for bringing us together because of Jaejoong, Yoochun and Junsu. Then the 1st game JYJ TRIVIA started. This is a test of how well the fans know JYJ. 5 fans battled it out to win cool prizes. Questions about JYJ’s album, endorsements, personal stuffs were asked.
As part of our surprise for the attendees, we showed them the compilation of the messages from the JYJ Family around the world
The 2nd game was called JYJ HENYO (Genius). We patterned the game from a famous noontime show here in the Philippines. A lot of fans volunteered to join this game. Each pair were given a word/phrase related to JYJ. The word is attached on the hat worn by the guesser and his/her partner will give her clues about the word by only saying YES, NO or MAYBE. It was really a battle of wit for the fans.
The most exciting game for everyone was the JYJ BODY SHOTS. A photo of each member’s body was flashed on the screen and the fans had to guess whose body part was that. Everyone was screaming everytime a body part of the member was shown. Fan sure know the boys from head to toe and with or without clothes on (Hahahaha). 12 photos were shown and the one who got the correct answer won an embroidered JYJ_PH t-shirt. What made the game even more exciting was that before they could guess, the fans had to bring what the host asked them to. The first one who can give what the host asked for was given the chance to guess.
Aside from the prizes from the admins, kind-hearted people like FANSHOPPE, Fangirls Dreamshop and Cakecircle donated items for the raffle.
Fans were willing to do anything just to get their hands on the items. One fan even danced Intoxication just to get the JYJ Blanket and the other one sang Nine in order to get the SKKS DVD.
Fans were asked to give a short message for JYJ that was videotaped. (video to be uploaded soon). The event lasted for 3 hours and to quote one attendee, “There was never a dull moment…” They were also asked to write messages for JYJ which will be compiled in a photobook that the admins plan to give to JYJ as a gift.
Everyone (especially the admins) enjoyed harassing…. err…. taking pictures with the standees and the sexy tarpaulins of the boys.
It was a fun-filled afternoon for all JYJ Lovers. Fans went home with smiles on their faces and it was such a great time to meet the people who share the same love for JYJ.
JYJ PH admins are very thankful to the attendees’ participation and overwhelming support. This event wouldn’t be possible without them. Till next gathering…. ^__^

I keep on scrolling back, wow, Discovery Suites, with all those foods and goodies, JYJPhilippines and all the people behind it are awesome and RICH with their love for JYJ and of course financially. I’m so happy and proud for you guys. This is just the beginning, I think JYJ has a bright future here in the Philippines.
