I wanted to repost this, since it was discussed on a previous GAPP. However, since it was late in the day, some could have missed it. I was wondering how everyone feels about creating another daily post, something like a General Discussion Post, where we can discuss issues relating directly and indirectly to JYJ; current issues, ideas, views etc. It can also be a place for new members to introduce themselves and for people to ask questions. Sometimes, when questions are asked on the GAPP, it gets missed or overlooked, so this way people who have questions can get answers in a timely fashion. It shouldn’t be too much work for the admins, they can just use the same template every day; there is no need to be creative like with the daily GAPPs. If you think this is a good idea, feel free to respond below and even if you are shy, you can just reply with a yes, an okay or thumbs up
I think I kinda, sorta understand where you’re coming from. Yes, the serious discussion part seems to be missing and GAPP apprarently has become more of a let’s talk about how yummy each member is posting. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think there is anything wrong with spazzing. But sometimes it seems as if this is all that is happening.
I don’t feel there is a need for the creation of another menu topic. Reading what you posted in your comment, it’s exactly what was proposed when Mia started the GAPP. A place to discuss issues outside of the specific topic posts that are presented.
I get the sense that you’re feeling no one wants to put serious discussions on the GAPP. I think this is the perfect place for it, and no need to create another section. Really all it would take is for those issues and discussions to be offered and everyone jump back into the fray.
Now if the admins feel comfortable creating another menu section, that is up to them. I wouldn’t not participate. But if people want to address topics and open discussions back to more serious general topics, I say LET’S DO IT! There really is nothing stopping this from happening.
This is just one person’s opinion and hopefully others will offer theirs.
The problem with posting issues on the GAPP is that it gets missed or overlooked among the myriad of pictures and videos. Sometimes, even I miss things or questions from people new to the fandom. By the time I notice, I don’t know if they are still interested in an answer, especially since there are no timestamps on the posts anymore. Since, some really love the spazz nature of the GAPP, I suggested the idea of a GDP (General Discussion Post).

I get the sense that you’re feeling no one wants to put serious discussions on the GAPP. I think this is the perfect place for it, and no need to create another section. Really all it would take is for those issues and discussions to be offered and everyone jump back into the fray.
Now if the admins feel comfortable creating another menu section, that is up to them. I wouldn’t not participate. But if people want to address topics and open discussions back to more serious general topics, I say LET’S DO IT! There really is nothing stopping this from happening.
This is just one person’s opinion and hopefully others will offer theirs.
The problem with posting issues on the GAPP is that it gets missed or overlooked among the myriad of pictures and videos. Sometimes, even I miss things or questions from people new to the fandom. By the time I notice, I don’t know if they are still interested in an answer, especially since there are no timestamps on the posts anymore. Since, some really love the spazz nature of the GAPP, I suggested the idea of a GDP (General Discussion Post).
I think this is a good idea. I may not comment often, but i always enjoy a good read and learning from other people.
