Solving the mystery about the murder case of the crown princess will be the main story of SBS TV’s drama series Rooftop Prince towards the end.
In the 13th episode of Rooftop Prince that aired on May 3, Park Ha (played by Han Ji Min) and Hong Se Na (played by Jung Yumi)’s real mother Mrs. Jang (played by Na Young Hee) appeared again. Accordingly, it’s tipped that the fact that Park Ha and Hong Se Na are sisters will soon be revealed. It’s an important fact that implies their relationship in the Joseon Dynasty period and the present.
At the end of the episode, prince Lee Gak (played by JYJ’s Yoo Chun) realized how Park Ha and the crown princess were related. As he started to solve the mystery, it will be the main story towards the end of the series.
The producer Ahn Gil Ho says, “The first part of this series was about how the prince and his men would get used to the life of the present, the middle part was about the prince and Park Ha falling in love. The last part will mainly be about how they will solve the mystery about the murder case of the crown princess.”
Ahn also says, “As the prince tries to solve the mystery, you’ll be able to see the series’s strong plot.”

I think the sister of the princess died, and maybe the crown princess sent the men to kill the Prince. That would be interesting
I hope the prince go back to joseon before the murderer case happen…so he can prevent the case before happen.
am curious about park ha and lee gak .. it’s lee gak who fell for park ha and not tae yong … but lee gak belongs to another world .. anticipation is killing me
My personal hypothesis: The death one was his sister in law (Bu Young) and the one who ordered her murder was the crown princess on jealousy.
But then why the Crown Princess disapear ? Because somebody see her ? (The boy who run in the very begining of the first episode ?)
And why everybody say it’s the Crown Princess if it was BuYong in the river ? (They dont look alike and BuYong have a scar on the face)
I need to rewatch every episode. I’m sure I miss something, a clue …
Dear, nobody knew for sure who she was; her face was upside down. If the crown princess ordered her death and wanted the prince to believe the death one was her; obviously she had to hide. I also suspect she had a lover amongst the powerful government men who helped her. If not, who were the ones who tried to kill the prince and his servants before they were sent to our era?
I don’t think Bu Yong is dead. It’s more likely that the Crown Princess who is dead… she must have changed her decision at the last minute not to kill the prince and she was killed instead. Remember the white powder on the prince’s food???. The prince has to go back to find the killer… Bak Ha will end up with Tea Yong ( he is still alive ) and the Prince with Bu Yong. ~ that is my opinion.
…..and I don’t think the Crown Princess will let go all the glory and power out of jealousy…

If Pak ha will end up with Tae yong, what about her relationship with Lee gak.? Their gotten closed and fell in loved with each other., so I don’t think she will end up with Tae yong guy even if he’s still alive. And by the way, I thing Bu yong is the one who died. This drama is so exciting… keke~^^

My guess is that the crown princess had a lover (taemun) and he killed her because of jealousy but who knows

I can’t wait to see how the mystery unravels in the remaining episodes. I’ve got a couple of theories, so I’m really anticipating what’s going to happen!
If the younger sister was the one killed, I think the father’s reaction would have been totally different. As it was, he seemed to be almost unaffected by the death. His desire to not have the investigation go any farther makes me more curious about his involvement. Besides, there was no indication that Bu Young was missing. Since she came to the palace on a frequent basis, surely the Prince would have made mention of this.
I think the Crown Princess is the one dead, it’s just WHO killed her that’s important. I’m holding out for someone not even discussed so far.

@Bafie2, I think the younger sis (Buyong) was killed by the Crown Princess’s lover ( court official) because she discovered the affair. In that case, why did the Crown Princess “disappear” since she was alive and wanted to live in luxury in the palace? Hmmm…doesn’t make sense.
I think Tae Yong loses his memory, so can’t be with Park Ha. Besides it’s Lee Gak whom Park Ha loves. So when the 4 Joseon guys return to the palace, Park Ha gets teleported as well to take over the place of the dead Buyong. Buyong has to die because she is scarred for life and there was no plastic surgery during that period. She would never want to have Lee Gak see her burnt face.But Park Ha is different.
So I’m going with the guess that Buyong died and Park Ha will take over.
I guess the problem I have with thinking it’s Bu Yong who is dead, is the father’s reaction. Not to mention, the CP isn’t reacting to his SIL not being around. He displayed a certain fondness for her. I think he would turn to her for solace as a friend. These two things do not square with me.
Ok, just because the face of the body wasn’t shown, doesn’t mean it’s not the Crown Princess. After all her body has to be prepared for burial. You mean they prepared her body face down the entire time? YiGak didn’t want to spend some private moments with her body to say good-bye? For me, these kinds of questions have to be addressed before I’m ready to say the body belongs to Bu Yong.
If, and this is a pretty big IF for me…this is Bu Young’s body…the killer made her dress up in the Crown Princess’ clothes, then killed her, then dumped her body in the pond? OR, the person killed her first then dressed her up in the princess’ clothes? We’re talking hair/makeup, everything.
There has to be a rationale for how this occurred. Why would the princess be in hiding with her lover? How is she ever going to surface? Is she simply going to move away to another hamlet? How is she going to live the good life she’s been acustomed to, AND wanted bad enough to scar her younger sister to get the coveted spot? Whoever this dude is cannot possibly be as well off as YiGak – the prince, one day to be king. Given her selfish nature, I cannot imagine her willlingly give up ALL this just for an outside romance.
But we’ll just have to wait until the final episode.

So I want none of them to return to Joseon era because I cant bear to see Lee Gak separated from Park Ha. It doesn’t make sense for LG to end up with Buyong ( the CP’s younger sister) if he returns as LG has no special feelings for her.
So let Tae Yong lie in Chicago and enjoy the anonymity while LG carries on with PH.
But how is Tae Moo going to be punished if the truth of his attempt to get rid of Tae Yong doesn’t come to light? O dear, one of Chunnie’s characters has to give up PH. I have to go with Lee Gak although Tae Yong is obviously attracted to PH too.
