Unni- I feel you with the crazy crowded restaurants, good thing we had reservations where we went for lunch. Im already 46 sis going 47 this year- really going beyond midlife &nearing golden age – you look younger than me in the pics sis, but i married late that’s why my sons are still young- and since i work with the young adults, i feel young always- coz i need to relate with their culture and generation. Im as old as my students’ parents actually and some are a lot younger than me, some of my studs were not born during the year i started working in the univ, they usually get shocked when they know my residency and age–so that explains how old i am already, but growing old gracefully definitely…
But with JYJ, we never grow old right, our love is always young and ripe , and it keeps evolving and transforming…

I want to share my comment on “Tarantallegra” in GAPP too. Junsu is indeed an amazingly talented artist; as Jaejoong said, there’s no one like him; only him could’ve done something like “Tarantallegra”.
LOL ladies, I don’t know where to start. I think I must say this MV is one of the best Mother’s Day gifts. Since this is my day, I had a few drinks LOL; four glasses of wine to be exact but don’t be tricked ladies, I’m not drunk; my mind is crystal clear now but I feel totally relaxed. How to describe Junsu’s “Tarantallegra” properly…. I’ve watched the video many times now and I fell under the spell since the very first time…… This is really an addictive song; my body has been moving to the rythm all the time and my mouth has been singing the chorus endlessly. This new Junsu is really “INTOXICATING”. His sensuality makes me shiver. I can almost touch his erotism. The way he looks at the female dancers; his facial expressions; his skilled way to dance; his hips moving deliciously; his beautiful face; his silky chest; his provocative tummy; his proactive crotch; his self confidence; his dominating attitude….. ¡OMG!!! ¡I want to feast on him immediately! I am fascinated; Junsu is driving me crazy one more time; I’m out of my mind living in Xialand. There are at least ten different Junsus in the MV, and I love each and every one of them: Junsu the Master; Junsu the Innocent (with a tiny tear slipping down his cheek while looking through the window); Junsu the Warrior, Junsu the Sex God, Junsu the Lustful; Junsu the Catman; Junsu the Slave; Junsu the Theatrical Character; Junsu the Androginous; Junsu the Pure; Junsu the Original. He attracts me like bees to the honey; I sense in him a great amount of sensuality and his attitude is burning me alive. The sweet childish man became the one hiding inside of him and the tiger he was keeping locked now is unleashed. His music is bewitching; there’s no other way to describe it. “Tarantallegra” is really a spell, and I fell deep under it; it’s controlling my mind and my body and there’s no escape now. Jeri Slaughter’s choreography is outstanding and the dancers are the best ones. There was no way to record such an MV using korean dancers because their attitude is very differrent; I think they lack the sensuality, the heat and the passion to dance like this. The lyrics are superb and the song was wonderfully written, composed and arranged. The Kim twins form a powerful duo to make new original music. I hope now Junsu will have another character to show as a JYJ member; Junsu the Sex God. Junsu must be very proud of the superb vanguardist work of art he made of “Tarantallegra”. I want to say “I knew it; I knew we must expected no other thing but greatness from Kim Junsu”. And I definitely L-O-V-E to see him feeling good with his new physical aspect; he just adores the way he looks now; he feels gorgeous, sexy and attractive; and all this comes to his self confidence. And about me, I want to say I am Junsu’s captive in mind, soul and body, and I don’t want to escape because I am a victim of his spell and the Stockholm Syndrome is consuming me slowly because I am lost in love with my captor Kim Junsu.
I did it for like 10 times today. I am addicted. JunSu is absofakinlutely amazing in this one.

I totally agree with your analysis. Xia has made an addictive song that stimulates our hearing sense while the MV of Tarantallegra creates visual, tactile, kinesthetic, as well as body and soul provocations. The flame of fire at the beginning of the MV, Xia’s crossdressing as a beautiful female (even he is more beautiful than me)……., the indoor setting that portrays sexuality, outdoor setting portraying snowy day, a symbol that Xia is ready to face and overcome many criticism toward Tarantallegra……..Moreover, I also hate hypocrisy when people just want to accept Xia as their wish……True fans always take a look at all aspects, so what I mean is: Stay away of Xia and JYJ’s fandom crazy fans, for you only accept him and JYJ as long as they are like what you wish. Didn’t Xia and JYJ clearly explained that they are not puppets…..They are full-grown men now with their unique style. It’s up to us, whether we, fans, can accept or leave them. But for me, since nobody’s perfect and nothing’s perfect………I am very happy and proud of what Xia has done so far…..thanks to twin Juno…to help his beloved brother to create a sophisticated and mesmerizing music……..Indeed, Xia’s decision to work with Jeri Slaughter is proven to be a big hit……….But still, there are more fans that do not know the symbols in the MV. People think that the MV is so confusing, complicated, androgynous, etc. There are sides of masculinity and feminine in each of us. I think it is totally fine for Xia to expose his sexuality, in terms of sociology and psychology. He is born to be sexy……having gifted voice and amazing dancing skills. Wouldn’t it be a great idea to sum up all of Xia’s vision, skills, and great cooperation with proven skilled crews to perform the greatest combination of instrument, voice, dance, fashion, theater, cinematography all in one package of Tarantallegra MV, the real spell of Xia’s Kingdom………

I am still awake because I need to check my students’ work. I can’t stop to finish watching Xia’s Tarantallegra MV.
As I’ve studied about narrative, semiotics, and semantics…….I can really get Xia’s message of his first full solo album. It’s all conveyed in this MV…..no wonder Xia had chosen it as the main song and as the title of his album.
As we can see, there are many symbols in this MV……other than composing and arranging the song, I am sure that Xia chose every single detail by himself…..including the make-up, wardrobes, properties, dancers, cinematography, etc.
Xia indeed wants to reveal his unique and extraordinary sense of music, sense of dance, sense of acting, and sense of fashion.
In terms of music, Xia blends many elements of music, such as hip-hop, electric and techno, R & B, Arabic sounds, etc that combine many references of his present musicality. He wants to bring his musicality into another level, higher level of musicality in his career (and the highest point among other K-pop singers)……
Xia works with American dancers that have voluptuous body (for female dancers) and great muscles and well figured (for male dancers)…..meanwhile, this kind of dancers are very common for American artists as well as their European counterparts. For Xia, this choice is a breakthrough in Korean because most Korean singers work with slim dancers, representing basic public favorite preference of South Korean dancers…….Whereas Xia is portrayed to have slimmer body than all of his back-up dancers…….symbolizing Xia’s passion to combine both East and West cultures. Difference in body’s size and sculptures send a message that Xia, as an Asian singer, can mix with Western cultures, and even shows his passion to conquer the international music market, thus he also prefers to work with Flowsik as his rap partner, instead of working with Yoochun in this song.
What makes people don’t get used to it is mostly about his outfits and make-up, since Xia is described as having both sides of being masculine and feminine. For me, Xia tries to tell the world that he is a very democratic person since he is opened to many views of culture. he is not afraid of cross-dressing (a man dressed like a girl and vice versa, as in the scene of snowy land where Xia wore long maroon dress with knee-high boots), he’s not afraid of exploring sexuality, the wilderness and the dark sides of every human being, of unleashing his different level of masculinity (about the scenes of showing off his abs, female dancers hold his body, Xia holds the female dancers)………The change of his hair colors and hair styles also convey a different stage of someone’s change or preference. No single style is absolutely gorgeous or great. No single physical appearance is perfect. What makes people agree on does not mean always be correct. Everything is relative. In this case, unlike most Korean singers who want to expose only the great look and body with similar styles, Xia does not care whether people like his appearance in this MV or not. What is more important is that he has his own standards of musicality that are different from majority of Korean singers……….
For him, it is not only about likes and dislikes, love or hate, Asian or not, regional or international, but also a deep consideration to learn a new culture, to work with new people, to create something out-of-the-box………..
As I know, Xia is enthusiastic about Latin America (both about the soccer and the dance)…..no wonder he incorporates some portrayals of Latino’s dance in his MV (see: the scenes of wearing red plaid ribbon on his head and some movements similar to Tango, Samba, and Flamenco dances)……..
When he has orange hair, he wants to set him free of similar representation of SM artists, always be under control of SM…(that’s my opinion related to transparent water hose in his neck and also on the girls’ body)……The domination of SM on the artists has controlled overall body and mind……….At the end, Xia is in position where he is free of such domination, here it is portrayed when he can be free, not in a tight cluster or a special group. Instead, he smiles happily of being able who he is, the way he is, how he sees something, how he interacts to his friends, and how his original musicality to his fans…:)
There is a scene where Xia is being a center of attraction, showing that he is the real center of attention. All Korean singers must take a look at him, it is not only about creating good-listening music, but most importantly about the message that a singer wants to convey through the music………but Xia is not selfish, he also wants to hold the camera and wants to see other people surrounding him….This scene means that he is a good listener, attentive, up-to-date, and yet very sociable…… . Xia really deserves the best because he is the best soloist in K-Pop industry……
Instead of using Junsu as his individual stage name, Junsu lets people know him personally as Xia, because he wants to distinguish himself as a soloist and a member of JYJ. He has distinctive style of music as compared to his presence of JYJ member. He wants to explore his world and to release all of his emotions in his songs……..So it is more about an artist’s personal identity. Xia is in his own world of music, however, as Junsu of JYJ, he still wants to link to his beloved brothers of singer, by contributing his song for Rooftop Prince OST to link to Yoochun that currently shows great success as an actor and also by letting Jaejoong to include his self-composed ballad song, showing Xia’s support and strong chemistry to his Jaejoong0hyung, to respect him, and to deliver Jaejoong’s romantic-melancholic side. Overall, Xia tries to balance his musical genres…….by keeping fast-tempo, up-beat songs in balance with melancholic, yet romantic ballad song……
My greatest salute to Xia…..to be the Master of Tarantallegra……not to be only a follower, but a trendsetter, ….to create a breakthrough in Korean music industry and also international music market……..to be honest about what kind of singer you are….to be free to express your deepest feelings through your music. He is a modern musical prodigy……

I’m sure there are people who will be coming to the GAPP or the site for the first time today. The daily spams are a problem for many people but could we just have one day to celebrate Junsu.
hey, i’m a huge junsu fan but GAPP is meant for JYJ (all three of them) spazzing anyway. it shouldn’t be limited by anything and any visitors will understand. i think alot of us are watching tarantallegra non-stop and there are alot of articles and comments on the site already. the album will be officially released only tmr so we’ll have even more to celebrate later on.

Hi @Widya_4JYJ – I definitely think there is something wrong with the view count for our Su baby’s MV- because at one point it got stuck at 302 for about 4 hours then boosted up to 300,000+ then went down again- IDK who’s trying to control the video or if its a glitch on youtube or what.
youtube freezes the viewcount until it’s verified. it’s actually very normal. i haven’t seen any of the glitches but anyway the count is up to 301k now. we can expect it to rise in big jumps over the next few hours. let’s just keep watching and i’m sure we’ll hit a million soon.

I’ll be honest and say that I had no idea how to start this review because the only thing running through my head when I listen to this song is “KSAFHSKJGKSDGHSJUNSUUUUUUUUUU” and all coherent, rational thoughts have just been completely thrown out the window. But then I realized, that’s the point of this song, and the point of my review.
Because, in essence, that’s what music is supposed to do — it’s supposed to not only make you freak out or jump around your room, it’s actually supposed to make you near-insane. Not in a bad way or anything, but when you listen to a song, essentially it should move you, and move you more than just a tear or a few tapping fingers here and there. Again, music is half heard and half felt, and essentially what you hear should help you grasp what you feel.
“Tarantallegra” affects you like that because it’s effortless, because it’s overflowing with conviction. While there were times when I cringed watching the video, Junsu isn’t afraid to deliver. Obviously, Junsu has the talent and the technicals to do something like this. I always, always say that before you can think of identity and whatnot, you have to be proficient, and Junsu is perfectly capable of standing his own ground on a song, and carrying an entire performance just with his vocals. Now, because he’s technically proficient, the song really becomes Junsu inside out. I’s not just because he wrote it with his brother though — if someone else were to sing it, no matter how technically proficient that person may be and no matter how accurate the notes are hit, “Tarantallegra” will lose a part of it’s identity.
And that’s really all I ask from K-Pop as a whole, actually. Be proficient in whatever you do, and do what is you. If you’re doing something you love, something that’s a part of you, the effortlessness and the conviction will follow naturally. “Tarantallegra” is proof that those two elements, when put together, work effortlessly. I mean just look at it, it’s so ridiculous and Junsu’s orange hair is just pain weird, but the song, the choreography, and the video work together so well that I have no qualms. At all.
When the teaser first came out, a lot of people were pointing out that the synths on this song were similar to “Xiahtic”, and while they are, honestly, I don’t see a problem with that. The synths here and on “Xiahtic” give both songs different over-all sounds, and Junsu composed both songs — we’ve heard so many other producers re-hash their own songs even more blatantly than this.
Years in K-Pop have taught me to either absolutely hate, or just not notice rap parts out of personal preference, but honestly, the rap on “Tarantallegra” is one of the few that I cannot imagine taken out of the song. It adds another dimension to the entire package, and Flowsik’s deep timbre both contrasts and compliments Junsu’s vocals.
The reason why I don’t have a problem with the auto tune during the chorus is because everyone knows that Junsu is so much more than just a capable singer, that he’s obviously one of the best in K-Pop, and even Asia, and so he can easily sing those auto tuned parts live. The thing is, when I go and criticize other acts for using too much auto tune, the reason why I do it is because those acts use it as a mask, to hide their lack of talent. But then, like I just said, Junsu’s talent is no secret, and the auto tune on this song is more of an artistic/aesthetic decision than it is a blanket.
The verses are stunning, they really are. I get mini-heart attacks throughout both, and I’m not complaining at all. It shows off what has made Junsu’s voice so infamous, and I get the belting I wanted!
Speaking of vocals, the thing I really, really love about how this song was done is the emphasis on Junsu’s vocals. Autotune aside, “Tarantallegra” is a song that Junsu carries — the instruments on the backing track do add something to the over-all dynamics, of course, but most of the time they just go in a straight line. Junsu’s delivery controls majority of what happens to the song, and he does it extremely well. I cannot wait to see this live, (even if he’s not going to be on music shows) because knowing Junsu, it’s going to be that much more brilliant live.
And that, my friends, is the challenge I give to newer acts — make me smile, cry, freak out, and move me, with an uptempo. Hype, looks and aesthetics don’t matter — use your material and your musical proficiency to move me. It’s easy to do it with a ballad, but uptempos are a completely different story. If a new act can do that, and do it with as much conviction as Junsu has just done, they have my respect. This is the new benchmark for uptempo performances — because Junsu has managed to deliver effortlessness and confidence over and above a heavily choreographed and produced package.

Annyeong, my JYJ family! miss you guys for couple of days. have a lot of catching up, i read not only the posts in JYJ3 but your comments as well. i love reading all of you, learning from insights, laughing at convos/fangirling.
I happen to read the reactions/comments first before watching Junsu Tarantallegra MV and come to full relating experience. Personally, it felt new and positively disturbing in a way i want to hear the album full length and how he will showcase later on in his concerts. I’m happy and anxious of his big step like a proud mom.
RTP hold a back seat for me. i decided to wait till it wind to the last episode. I have downloaded all the episodes and the converter is set waiting for burning in dvd. I really prefer marathon watching as i can savor chunnie with full delight and the spontaneity in continuous watching is more effecting than piecemeal.
My ultimate bias JJ is doing great. I am nailed at his photos in Jackal Good Luck Ritual. News or no news makes no difference in me missing him. Insatiable me when it comes to Jae.

I did not want to offend anyone. I am sorry if my post came off that way. I understand that the GAPP is free for all to post on. I used to come on here before but now the GAPP has become just a spam of pictures and the same people talking to each other. I think it is unfair to spam everyone with pictures, whether we want it or not. The solution is not to also spam pictures of Junsu and Yuchun.
Everybody is entitled to post anything in GAPP (as long as it is within the rules of JYJ3). If you don’t like picture spamming, you can initiate a discussion, post any article that can initiate an exchange of sentiments and thoughts, or share life experiences, or some MVs, anything. Remember, if we want a CHANGE, the change should start at ourselves.
I think DIVERSION is a better solution rather than elimination.

I want to state upfront that I’m writing this as a JYJer and not a xiapwa.
I understand where you’re coming from. Those who like what they’re currently seeing in GAPP – will quote you the rule that ‘everybody is entitled to post anything’. However, when it comes to rules, we do have to keep in mind that often it is much easier to abide by the letter of the law instead of its spirit.
I believe that the rule itself was meant to generate lively discussion and bonding among the JYJ3 community. GAPP was supposed to unite us JYJers with news and exchange of views about both JYJ and non-JYJ topics. I don’t think it was meant to be a post that mostly dwells on a single bias. In fact, ideally it should transcend our biases. Perhaps it turned out this way becos’ Jae was not very active for a period of time and the Jaeharems needed a place to talk about him – I can understand that. However, this situation has changed, hasn’t it?
To be honest, I don’t frequent GAPP nowadays and in fact skip over most of the comments if I do because yes, there is an expectation of what we are going to see already. I wonder how many JYJers have stopped coming here regularly for the same reason. And knowing that fewer people are going to read what you post in GAPP – well, there is really less incentive to try to post something. And when there isn’t anything very new or interesting in GAPP – well, there is less incentive to come here. Can you see that it might be a vicious cycle? Perhaps we need to go back and review how GAPP was like in the past, and see if we’re missing anything valuable.
And let me just add that there was one time when @MINMIN posted a couple of pics of Su and Admin told her to stop because it would slow the page load. This really confused me because we have so many pics of Jae uploaded everyday. And on other days, I also see a few pics of YooSu posted without any issue being raised. So, I really don’t know what is Admin’s stance.
I would use the analogy of a common room in a building. We can say that since it is a common room, anyone can do anything they want in it. But when a certain conversation/activity is dominating on a daily basis, it might hamper other activities.
Some say that people are free to post as many YooSu/JYJ pics and vids as they want too. Then I would use this another analogy – you know how it is when someone is talking loudly in a group? Does it help if you try to compete with the person and talk loudly about something else? No, that would be tiring and frustrating, so you will tend to just keep quiet instead.
This is a JYJ3 community and we must balance the desires of different JYJers. I’m not gonna try to restrict the Jaeharems’ spazzing, becos’ I know it is such a delight to spazz and share our lives with the friends we have found here. But I hope that the Jaeharems here will also take a step back and evaluate objectively if what they do (and they do it every single day) has an impact on the JYJ3 community as a whole. And perhaps explore alternatives to fulfill their needs such as twitter, or chatting on other Jae posts. Especially when a number of people have already tried to broach this subject, it might be worthwhile to consider if these concerns are valid. It does not help to be defensive.
Please understand that I am writing this with good intentions and not becos’ I have anything against Jae/Jaeharems, and certainly not becos’ I’m jealous for Su. If Chunsas were the ones doing it, I would raise the issue as well. And if I do this as a xiapwa, and someone raises it to me, I would put myself in their shoes and reflect on my own actions.
I hope we can hear other voices on this issue. PEACE.

I actually didn’t want to create chaos by adding any comments to yours, but there are a few things I want to straighten before it gets nowhere.
First, I am to be the culprit, for I love spamming Jae’s photos. I wonder why no one complained about people spamming videos unrelated to JYJ months ago, and come to complain when more Jaeharems spam Jaejoong’s pics. Isn’t it weird? You can stand all videos about other idols or even movies but can’t stand Jaejoong pics? I have submitted step by step of how to embed pictures here more than I can even remember. My intention was for others to also able spamming Baby Su or Chunnie. Unfortunately, it is more of Jaeharems who spam more Jaejoong pictures.
Secondly, I was right at GAPP when Estelgrace ‘warned’ MINMIN, and you need to get this clear my dear Intox, MINMIN was spamming Jaejoong photos more than baby Su that time, and Estelgrace did not actually warn Minmin, but to advise Minmin not to spam photos at the same time altogether. There were more than 3 photos were submitted at the same time. Estelgrace did say that she also would refrain herself from spamming pictures, and she did commit to her promise.
I wonder if you are holding yourself from being upset rather long enough, you forgot to set the record correctly. I know that you are a wonderful person and mean nothing but the good of JYJ.
If I can remind you of what GAPP for… you can even submit the cooking class videos on GAPP, as long as it does not contain what are prohibited by JYJ3.

Hugs you too. Please don’t get me wrong, I like Jae, and some of your Jae pics make me pause and just gaze. I didn’t know about your 2nd point, thanks for clarifying what happened. But it seems that we are coming from different places and we just have to try to understand each other. At the end of the day, no matter the outcome of our discussion, the highest priority for all of us must be unity and harmony. We should all be JYJers first and Jaeharems/Chunsas/Xiapwas second.

How can be Jaeharems must come as second? Loving Jaejoong has nothing to do with supporting JYJ or loving JYJ.
Maybe as you said, we are coming from different places, so our way of thinking must be different too. For me, loving Jaejoong is loving JYJ.
I know how hard it must be to go out on a limb and post your concerns on the GAPP. I do agree that this issue needs to be addressed. I think your analogy of a common room is very appropriate here. We might all have our biases, but we also need to be considerate of each other. Telling people to post more pictures of their bias doesn’t seem right to me. It makes it seem like a competition. Frankly, I don’t see how you can be a fan of one member and not support the other two, since the musical and personal identity of all the members are so closely linked. We need a middle ground and I think everyone should post ideas on the best way to approach this issue.
I think the best compromise is to have a GAPP for pictures and one for discussions. This way everyone is happy. There are less active posts than previous GAPPs and if this is what is needed to get lurkers to start posting again, I say why not. The more the merrier. We all have something to bring to the table and can make this fandom better and stronger.
exactly, I don’t see how it can hurt. Jaejoong, Yoochun and Junsu fans can spazz as much as they want in the picture GAPP. And those who want to talk about JYJ, and other general issues can talk on the general GAPP. The admins can use the exact same template for both GAPPs so it shouldn’t be hard to implement.
IKR? It’s the perfect solution. Then we can avoid all this unhappiness. Of course I have nothing against the pic spam and chatting per se – my point is just that the sheer volume of it might hinder other important discussions from taking place. Like when you have a table full of things, it’s just harder for people to notice that you’ve put yet another item on it.
At least if there are interesting topics they won’t get lost in here. That can make GAPP a vibrant place for intellectual discussions and info sharing again.
And when we just want to take our mind off things, chat and drool over JYJ, we can go to the other GAPP-spazz post.

You said that you understand GAPP is free for all to post on, but you still coplained about GAPP being pictures spamming and people talking to each other. ahhh…. I wonder what my so many step by step how to embed photos was for back there. It was meant for others to be able to post their biases’ photos too. I wonder why no Jaeharems complained about the posts being all Chunnie’s RTP or Baby Su’s musical most of the time…. because for us it is love. Absolutely! I did that when I have less Jaejoong…. But since I respect Admin (estelgrace), I tried to place my pics after some comments are made. I didn’t get to scream ‘more Jaejoong’ although it seems that we have less photos from Jaejoong’s drama & movie making. What to do? Cry? What a useless thing. Be creative and find the photos ourselves.

woah, calm down. Your emotional outburst is just adding fire to the flame. We can have discussions without animosity and anger. Also, this is not about Jaejoong and no one has said anything about him. I am a fan of all three and I don’t like to see this petty infighting.
To those who are complaining, where were you when @Friend-of-JYJ or @lisan or other fans posted about Junsu, Yoochun or about JYJ as a group? you just chose to be silent when in fact you could have add fun to non-Jae’s related posts. Instead of focusing your complain to Jae’s fans, why won’t you ask yourselves what can you do to make your bias more visible here, it’s not a competition, just sharing what you can share to those people who have the same interests with you. Just complaining doesn’t do much, but doing something about what you consider a problem is better.
Life in the real world is hard, sometimes it’s harsh, some of us just click on JYJ3 to have a minute or even seconds of escape from stress, pressure, sadness and difficulties , and everybody has her/his own way of refreshing/ relaxing. Hope we’ll just have to learn that each person is unique.

Im already 46 sis going 47 this year- really going beyond midlife &nearing golden age – you look younger than me in the pics sis, but i married late that’s why my sons are still young- and since i work with the young adults, i feel young always- coz i need to relate with their culture and generation. Im as old as my students’ parents actually and some are a lot younger than me, some of my studs were not born during the year i started working in the univ, they usually get shocked when they know my residency and age–so that explains how old i am already, but growing old gracefully definitely…
But with JYJ, we never grow old right, our love is always young and ripe

I want to share my comment on “Tarantallegra” in GAPP too. Junsu is indeed an amazingly talented artist; as Jaejoong said, there’s no one like him; only him could’ve done something like “Tarantallegra”.
LOL ladies, I don’t know where to start. I think I must say this MV is one of the best Mother’s Day gifts. Since this is my day, I had a few drinks LOL; four glasses of wine to be exact but don’t be tricked ladies, I’m not drunk; my mind is crystal clear now but I feel totally relaxed. How to describe Junsu’s “Tarantallegra” properly…. I’ve watched the video many times now and I fell under the spell since the very first time…… This is really an addictive song; my body has been moving to the rythm all the time and my mouth has been singing the chorus endlessly. This new Junsu is really “INTOXICATING”. His sensuality makes me shiver. I can almost touch his erotism. The way he looks at the female dancers; his facial expressions; his skilled way to dance; his hips moving deliciously; his beautiful face; his silky chest; his provocative tummy; his proactive crotch; his self confidence; his dominating attitude….. ¡OMG!!! ¡I want to feast on him immediately! I am fascinated; Junsu is driving me crazy one more time; I’m out of my mind living in Xialand. There are at least ten different Junsus in the MV, and I love each and every one of them: Junsu the Master; Junsu the Innocent (with a tiny tear slipping down his cheek while looking through the window); Junsu the Warrior, Junsu the Sex God, Junsu the Lustful; Junsu the Catman; Junsu the Slave; Junsu the Theatrical Character; Junsu the Androginous; Junsu the Pure; Junsu the Original. He attracts me like bees to the honey; I sense in him a great amount of sensuality and his attitude is burning me alive. The sweet childish man became the one hiding inside of him and the tiger he was keeping locked now is unleashed. His music is bewitching; there’s no other way to describe it. “Tarantallegra” is really a spell, and I fell deep under it; it’s controlling my mind and my body and there’s no escape now. Jeri Slaughter’s choreography is outstanding and the dancers are the best ones. There was no way to record such an MV using korean dancers because their attitude is very differrent; I think they lack the sensuality, the heat and the passion to dance like this. The lyrics are superb and the song was wonderfully written, composed and arranged. The Kim twins form a powerful duo to make new original music. I hope now Junsu will have another character to show as a JYJ member; Junsu the Sex God. Junsu must be very proud of the superb vanguardist work of art he made of “Tarantallegra”. I want to say “I knew it; I knew we must expected no other thing but greatness from Kim Junsu”. And I definitely L-O-V-E to see him feeling good with his new physical aspect; he just adores the way he looks now; he feels gorgeous, sexy and attractive; and all this comes to his self confidence. And about me, I want to say I am Junsu’s captive in mind, soul and body, and I don’t want to escape because I am a victim of his spell and the Stockholm Syndrome is consuming me slowly because I am lost in love with my captor Kim Junsu.

I totally agree with your analysis. Xia has made an addictive song that stimulates our hearing sense while the MV of Tarantallegra creates visual, tactile, kinesthetic, as well as body and soul provocations. The flame of fire at the beginning of the MV, Xia’s crossdressing as a beautiful female (even he is more beautiful than me)……., the indoor setting that portrays sexuality, outdoor setting portraying snowy day, a symbol that Xia is ready to face and overcome many criticism toward Tarantallegra……..Moreover, I also hate hypocrisy when people just want to accept Xia as their wish……True fans always take a look at all aspects, so what I mean is: Stay away of Xia and JYJ’s fandom crazy fans, for you only accept him and JYJ as long as they are like what you wish. Didn’t Xia and JYJ clearly explained that they are not puppets…..They are full-grown men now with their unique style. It’s up to us, whether we, fans, can accept or leave them. But for me, since nobody’s perfect and nothing’s perfect………I am very happy and proud of what Xia has done so far…..thanks to twin Juno…to help his beloved brother to create a sophisticated and mesmerizing music……..Indeed, Xia’s decision to work with Jeri Slaughter is proven to be a big hit……….But still, there are more fans that do not know the symbols in the MV. People think that the MV is so confusing, complicated, androgynous, etc. There are sides of masculinity and feminine in each of us. I think it is totally fine for Xia to expose his sexuality, in terms of sociology and psychology. He is born to be sexy……having gifted voice and amazing dancing skills. Wouldn’t it be a great idea to sum up all of Xia’s vision, skills, and great cooperation with proven skilled crews to perform the greatest combination of instrument, voice, dance, fashion, theater, cinematography all in one package of Tarantallegra MV, the real spell of Xia’s Kingdom………

I am still awake because I need to check my students’ work. I can’t stop to finish watching Xia’s Tarantallegra MV.
. Xia really deserves the best because he is the best soloist in K-Pop industry……
As I’ve studied about narrative, semiotics, and semantics…….I can really get Xia’s message of his first full solo album. It’s all conveyed in this MV…..no wonder Xia had chosen it as the main song and as the title of his album.
As we can see, there are many symbols in this MV……other than composing and arranging the song, I am sure that Xia chose every single detail by himself…..including the make-up, wardrobes, properties, dancers, cinematography, etc.
Xia indeed wants to reveal his unique and extraordinary sense of music, sense of dance, sense of acting, and sense of fashion.
In terms of music, Xia blends many elements of music, such as hip-hop, electric and techno, R & B, Arabic sounds, etc that combine many references of his present musicality. He wants to bring his musicality into another level, higher level of musicality in his career (and the highest point among other K-pop singers)……
Xia works with American dancers that have voluptuous body (for female dancers) and great muscles and well figured (for male dancers)…..meanwhile, this kind of dancers are very common for American artists as well as their European counterparts. For Xia, this choice is a breakthrough in Korean because most Korean singers work with slim dancers, representing basic public favorite preference of South Korean dancers…….Whereas Xia is portrayed to have slimmer body than all of his back-up dancers…….symbolizing Xia’s passion to combine both East and West cultures. Difference in body’s size and sculptures send a message that Xia, as an Asian singer, can mix with Western cultures, and even shows his passion to conquer the international music market, thus he also prefers to work with Flowsik as his rap partner, instead of working with Yoochun in this song.
What makes people don’t get used to it is mostly about his outfits and make-up, since Xia is described as having both sides of being masculine and feminine. For me, Xia tries to tell the world that he is a very democratic person since he is opened to many views of culture. he is not afraid of cross-dressing (a man dressed like a girl and vice versa, as in the scene of snowy land where Xia wore long maroon dress with knee-high boots), he’s not afraid of exploring sexuality, the wilderness and the dark sides of every human being, of unleashing his different level of masculinity (about the scenes of showing off his abs, female dancers hold his body, Xia holds the female dancers)………The change of his hair colors and hair styles also convey a different stage of someone’s change or preference. No single style is absolutely gorgeous or great. No single physical appearance is perfect. What makes people agree on does not mean always be correct. Everything is relative. In this case, unlike most Korean singers who want to expose only the great look and body with similar styles, Xia does not care whether people like his appearance in this MV or not. What is more important is that he has his own standards of musicality that are different from majority of Korean singers……….
For him, it is not only about likes and dislikes, love or hate, Asian or not, regional or international, but also a deep consideration to learn a new culture, to work with new people, to create something out-of-the-box………..
As I know, Xia is enthusiastic about Latin America (both about the soccer and the dance)…..no wonder he incorporates some portrayals of Latino’s dance in his MV (see: the scenes of wearing red plaid ribbon on his head and some movements similar to Tango, Samba, and Flamenco dances)……..
When he has orange hair, he wants to set him free of similar representation of SM artists, always be under control of SM…(that’s my opinion related to transparent water hose in his neck and also on the girls’ body)……The domination of SM on the artists has controlled overall body and mind……….At the end, Xia is in position where he is free of such domination, here it is portrayed when he can be free, not in a tight cluster or a special group. Instead, he smiles happily of being able who he is, the way he is, how he sees something, how he interacts to his friends, and how his original musicality to his fans…:)
There is a scene where Xia is being a center of attraction, showing that he is the real center of attention. All Korean singers must take a look at him, it is not only about creating good-listening music, but most importantly about the message that a singer wants to convey through the music………but Xia is not selfish, he also wants to hold the camera and wants to see other people surrounding him….This scene means that he is a good listener, attentive, up-to-date, and yet very sociable……
Instead of using Junsu as his individual stage name, Junsu lets people know him personally as Xia, because he wants to distinguish himself as a soloist and a member of JYJ. He has distinctive style of music as compared to his presence of JYJ member. He wants to explore his world and to release all of his emotions in his songs……..So it is more about an artist’s personal identity. Xia is in his own world of music, however, as Junsu of JYJ, he still wants to link to his beloved brothers of singer, by contributing his song for Rooftop Prince OST to link to Yoochun that currently shows great success as an actor and also by letting Jaejoong to include his self-composed ballad song, showing Xia’s support and strong chemistry to his Jaejoong0hyung, to respect him, and to deliver Jaejoong’s romantic-melancholic side. Overall, Xia tries to balance his musical genres…….by keeping fast-tempo, up-beat songs in balance with melancholic, yet romantic ballad song……
My greatest salute to Xia…..to be the Master of Tarantallegra……not to be only a follower, but a trendsetter, ….to create a breakthrough in Korean music industry and also international music market……..to be honest about what kind of singer you are….to be free to express your deepest feelings through your music. He is a modern musical prodigy……

I’m sure there are people who will be coming to the GAPP or the site for the first time today. The daily spams are a problem for many people but could we just have one day to celebrate Junsu.

hey, i’m a huge junsu fan but GAPP is meant for JYJ (all three of them) spazzing anyway. it shouldn’t be limited by anything and any visitors will understand. i think alot of us are watching tarantallegra non-stop and there are alot of articles and comments on the site already. the album will be officially released only tmr so we’ll have even more to celebrate later on.

Hi @Widya_4JYJ – I definitely think there is something wrong with the view count for our Su baby’s MV- because at one point it got stuck at 302 for about 4 hours then boosted up to 300,000+ then went down again- IDK who’s trying to control the video or if its a glitch on youtube or what.
youtube freezes the viewcount until it’s verified. it’s actually very normal. i haven’t seen any of the glitches but anyway the count is up to 301k now. we can expect it to rise in big jumps over the next few hours. let’s just keep watching and i’m sure we’ll hit a million soon.

Junsu – “Tarantallegra”
I’ll be honest and say that I had no idea how to start this review because the only thing running through my head when I listen to this song is “KSAFHSKJGKSDGHSJUNSUUUUUUUUUU” and all coherent, rational thoughts have just been completely thrown out the window. But then I realized, that’s the point of this song, and the point of my review.
Because, in essence, that’s what music is supposed to do — it’s supposed to not only make you freak out or jump around your room, it’s actually supposed to make you near-insane. Not in a bad way or anything, but when you listen to a song, essentially it should move you, and move you more than just a tear or a few tapping fingers here and there. Again, music is half heard and half felt, and essentially what you hear should help you grasp what you feel.
“Tarantallegra” affects you like that because it’s effortless, because it’s overflowing with conviction. While there were times when I cringed watching the video, Junsu isn’t afraid to deliver. Obviously, Junsu has the talent and the technicals to do something like this. I always, always say that before you can think of identity and whatnot, you have to be proficient, and Junsu is perfectly capable of standing his own ground on a song, and carrying an entire performance just with his vocals. Now, because he’s technically proficient, the song really becomes Junsu inside out. I’s not just because he wrote it with his brother though — if someone else were to sing it, no matter how technically proficient that person may be and no matter how accurate the notes are hit, “Tarantallegra” will lose a part of it’s identity.
And that’s really all I ask from K-Pop as a whole, actually. Be proficient in whatever you do, and do what is you. If you’re doing something you love, something that’s a part of you, the effortlessness and the conviction will follow naturally. “Tarantallegra” is proof that those two elements, when put together, work effortlessly. I mean just look at it, it’s so ridiculous and Junsu’s orange hair is just pain weird, but the song, the choreography, and the video work together so well that I have no qualms. At all.
When the teaser first came out, a lot of people were pointing out that the synths on this song were similar to “Xiahtic”, and while they are, honestly, I don’t see a problem with that. The synths here and on “Xiahtic” give both songs different over-all sounds, and Junsu composed both songs — we’ve heard so many other producers re-hash their own songs even more blatantly than this.
Years in K-Pop have taught me to either absolutely hate, or just not notice rap parts out of personal preference, but honestly, the rap on “Tarantallegra” is one of the few that I cannot imagine taken out of the song. It adds another dimension to the entire package, and Flowsik’s deep timbre both contrasts and compliments Junsu’s vocals.
The reason why I don’t have a problem with the auto tune during the chorus is because everyone knows that Junsu is so much more than just a capable singer, that he’s obviously one of the best in K-Pop, and even Asia, and so he can easily sing those auto tuned parts live. The thing is, when I go and criticize other acts for using too much auto tune, the reason why I do it is because those acts use it as a mask, to hide their lack of talent. But then, like I just said, Junsu’s talent is no secret, and the auto tune on this song is more of an artistic/aesthetic decision than it is a blanket.
The verses are stunning, they really are. I get mini-heart attacks throughout both, and I’m not complaining at all. It shows off what has made Junsu’s voice so infamous, and I get the belting I wanted!
Speaking of vocals, the thing I really, really love about how this song was done is the emphasis on Junsu’s vocals. Autotune aside, “Tarantallegra” is a song that Junsu carries — the instruments on the backing track do add something to the over-all dynamics, of course, but most of the time they just go in a straight line. Junsu’s delivery controls majority of what happens to the song, and he does it extremely well. I cannot wait to see this live, (even if he’s not going to be on music shows) because knowing Junsu, it’s going to be that much more brilliant live.
And that, my friends, is the challenge I give to newer acts — make me smile, cry, freak out, and move me, with an uptempo. Hype, looks and aesthetics don’t matter — use your material and your musical proficiency to move me. It’s easy to do it with a ballad, but uptempos are a completely different story. If a new act can do that, and do it with as much conviction as Junsu has just done, they have my respect. This is the new benchmark for uptempo performances — because Junsu has managed to deliver effortlessness and confidence over and above a heavily choreographed and produced package.

Annyeong, my JYJ family! miss you guys for couple of days. have a lot of catching up, i read not only the posts in JYJ3 but your comments as well. i love reading all of you, learning from insights, laughing at convos/fangirling.
I happen to read the reactions/comments first before watching Junsu Tarantallegra MV and come to full relating experience. Personally, it felt new and positively disturbing in a way i want to hear the album full length and how he will showcase later on in his concerts. I’m happy and anxious of his big step like a proud mom.
RTP hold a back seat for me. i decided to wait till it wind to the last episode. I have downloaded all the episodes and the converter is set waiting for burning in dvd. I really prefer marathon watching as i can savor chunnie with full delight and the spontaneity in continuous watching is more effecting than piecemeal.
My ultimate bias JJ is doing great. I am nailed at his photos in Jackal Good Luck Ritual. News or no news makes no difference in me missing him. Insatiable me when it comes to Jae.

I did not want to offend anyone. I am sorry if my post came off that way. I understand that the GAPP is free for all to post on. I used to come on here before but now the GAPP has become just a spam of pictures and the same people talking to each other. I think it is unfair to spam everyone with pictures, whether we want it or not. The solution is not to also spam pictures of Junsu and Yuchun.
Everybody is entitled to post anything in GAPP (as long as it is within the rules of JYJ3). If you don’t like picture spamming, you can initiate a discussion, post any article that can initiate an exchange of sentiments and thoughts, or share life experiences, or some MVs, anything. Remember, if we want a CHANGE, the change should start at ourselves.
I think DIVERSION is a better solution rather than elimination.

I want to state upfront that I’m writing this as a JYJer and not a xiapwa.
I understand where you’re coming from. Those who like what they’re currently seeing in GAPP – will quote you the rule that ‘everybody is entitled to post anything’. However, when it comes to rules, we do have to keep in mind that often it is much easier to abide by the letter of the law instead of its spirit.
I believe that the rule itself was meant to generate lively discussion and bonding among the JYJ3 community. GAPP was supposed to unite us JYJers with news and exchange of views about both JYJ and non-JYJ topics. I don’t think it was meant to be a post that mostly dwells on a single bias. In fact, ideally it should transcend our biases. Perhaps it turned out this way becos’ Jae was not very active for a period of time and the Jaeharems needed a place to talk about him – I can understand that. However, this situation has changed, hasn’t it?
To be honest, I don’t frequent GAPP nowadays and in fact skip over most of the comments if I do because yes, there is an expectation of what we are going to see already. I wonder how many JYJers have stopped coming here regularly for the same reason. And knowing that fewer people are going to read what you post in GAPP – well, there is really less incentive to try to post something. And when there isn’t anything very new or interesting in GAPP – well, there is less incentive to come here. Can you see that it might be a vicious cycle? Perhaps we need to go back and review how GAPP was like in the past, and see if we’re missing anything valuable.
And let me just add that there was one time when @MINMIN posted a couple of pics of Su and Admin told her to stop because it would slow the page load. This really confused me because we have so many pics of Jae uploaded everyday. And on other days, I also see a few pics of YooSu posted without any issue being raised. So, I really don’t know what is Admin’s stance.
I would use the analogy of a common room in a building. We can say that since it is a common room, anyone can do anything they want in it. But when a certain conversation/activity is dominating on a daily basis, it might hamper other activities.
Some say that people are free to post as many YooSu/JYJ pics and vids as they want too. Then I would use this another analogy – you know how it is when someone is talking loudly in a group? Does it help if you try to compete with the person and talk loudly about something else? No, that would be tiring and frustrating, so you will tend to just keep quiet instead.
This is a JYJ3 community and we must balance the desires of different JYJers. I’m not gonna try to restrict the Jaeharems’ spazzing, becos’ I know it is such a delight to spazz and share our lives with the friends we have found here. But I hope that the Jaeharems here will also take a step back and evaluate objectively if what they do (and they do it every single day) has an impact on the JYJ3 community as a whole. And perhaps explore alternatives to fulfill their needs such as twitter, or chatting on other Jae posts. Especially when a number of people have already tried to broach this subject, it might be worthwhile to consider if these concerns are valid. It does not help to be defensive.
Please understand that I am writing this with good intentions and not becos’ I have anything against Jae/Jaeharems, and certainly not becos’ I’m jealous for Su. If Chunsas were the ones doing it, I would raise the issue as well. And if I do this as a xiapwa, and someone raises it to me, I would put myself in their shoes and reflect on my own actions.
I hope we can hear other voices on this issue. PEACE.

I actually didn’t want to create chaos by adding any comments to yours, but there are a few things I want to straighten before it gets nowhere.
First, I am to be the culprit, for I love spamming Jae’s photos. I wonder why no one complained about people spamming videos unrelated to JYJ months ago, and come to complain when more Jaeharems spam Jaejoong’s pics. Isn’t it weird? You can stand all videos about other idols or even movies but can’t stand Jaejoong pics? I have submitted step by step of how to embed pictures here more than I can even remember. My intention was for others to also able spamming Baby Su or Chunnie. Unfortunately, it is more of Jaeharems who spam more Jaejoong pictures.
Secondly, I was right at GAPP when Estelgrace ‘warned’ MINMIN, and you need to get this clear my dear Intox, MINMIN was spamming Jaejoong photos more than baby Su that time, and Estelgrace did not actually warn Minmin, but to advise Minmin not to spam photos at the same time altogether. There were more than 3 photos were submitted at the same time. Estelgrace did say that she also would refrain herself from spamming pictures, and she did commit to her promise.
I wonder if you are holding yourself from being upset rather long enough, you forgot to set the record correctly. I know that you are a wonderful person and mean nothing but the good of JYJ.
If I can remind you of what GAPP for… you can even submit the cooking class videos on GAPP, as long as it does not contain what are prohibited by JYJ3.

Hugs you too. Please don’t get me wrong, I like Jae, and some of your Jae pics make me pause and just gaze. I didn’t know about your 2nd point, thanks for clarifying what happened. But it seems that we are coming from different places and we just have to try to understand each other. At the end of the day, no matter the outcome of our discussion, the highest priority for all of us must be unity and harmony. We should all be JYJers first and Jaeharems/Chunsas/Xiapwas second.

I know how hard it must be to go out on a limb and post your concerns on the GAPP. I do agree that this issue needs to be addressed. I think your analogy of a common room is very appropriate here. We might all have our biases, but we also need to be considerate of each other. Telling people to post more pictures of their bias doesn’t seem right to me. It makes it seem like a competition. Frankly, I don’t see how you can be a fan of one member and not support the other two, since the musical and personal identity of all the members are so closely linked. We need a middle ground and I think everyone should post ideas on the best way to approach this issue.
I think the best compromise is to have a GAPP for pictures and one for discussions. This way everyone is happy. There are less active posts than previous GAPPs and if this is what is needed to get lurkers to start posting again, I say why not. The more the merrier. We all have something to bring to the table and can make this fandom better and stronger.

exactly, I don’t see how it can hurt. Jaejoong, Yoochun and Junsu fans can spazz as much as they want in the picture GAPP. And those who want to talk about JYJ, and other general issues can talk on the general GAPP. The admins can use the exact same template for both GAPPs so it shouldn’t be hard to implement.
IKR? It’s the perfect solution. Then we can avoid all this unhappiness. Of course I have nothing against the pic spam and chatting per se – my point is just that the sheer volume of it might hinder other important discussions from taking place. Like when you have a table full of things, it’s just harder for people to notice that you’ve put yet another item on it.
At least if there are interesting topics they won’t get lost in here. That can make GAPP a vibrant place for intellectual discussions and info sharing again.
And when we just want to take our mind off things, chat and drool over JYJ, we can go to the other GAPP-spazz post.

Junchan album is full of meaning!!!
I have to say that I’m disappointed by the lack of attention the South Korean media is giving to Junsu’s album. Note that there is only 1 translated news about Junsu’s MV. Why? Is it really slow news day or there are no articles at all? =/

I’m sorry I don’t really get what you’re trying to say. What is the relevance of your bias here?
I know that many Jaeharems are supportive of Su’s solo and I really appreciate it as a xiapwa and JYJer.
What I want to say is that, when some people are complaining about too much Jae spamming, but when I posted something non-Jae related, nobody cares except a Jaeharem. Can silence or an act of omission solve the problem of “noisy Jae_fans in GAPP?

ahhh…. I wonder what my so many step by step how to embed photos was for back there. It was meant for others to be able to post their biases’ photos too. I wonder why no Jaeharems complained about the posts being all Chunnie’s RTP or Baby Su’s musical most of the time…. because for us it is love. I did not complain about that because I love ChunSu too. I did not whine to Admin for having less Jaejoong… I did my own creativity by spamming Jae photos to get more Jaejoong.
Isn’t life wonderful? Yes it is. So be positive and think about how to lessen negativities by doing something positive, one at a time…

I think the problem is “The act of omission” by the other fans, it’s not the Jaefans excitement over Jae’s photo.
They should ask themselves “What can I do?”, “What can I share and give? instead of focusing their attention to “What are these Jae_fans doing?

Absolutely! I did that when I have less Jaejoong…. But since I respect Admin (estelgrace), I tried to place my pics after some comments are made. I didn’t get to scream ‘more Jaejoong’ although it seems that we have less photos from Jaejoong’s drama & movie making. What to do? Cry? What a useless thing. Be creative and find the photos ourselves.
Maybe because I am old, I value my life more doing positive things rather than waiting for them to come to me…

Please follow JYJ3′s rules. Do not create animosity between fans who have individual biases.

woah, calm down. Your emotional outburst is just adding fire to the flame. We can have discussions without animosity and anger. Also, this is not about Jaejoong and no one has said anything about him. I am a fan of all three and I don’t like to see this petty infighting.
To those who are complaining, where were you when @Friend-of-JYJ or @lisan or other fans posted about Junsu, Yoochun or about JYJ as a group? you just chose to be silent when in fact you could have add fun to non-Jae’s related posts. Instead of focusing your complain to Jae’s fans, why won’t you ask yourselves what can you do to make your bias more visible here, it’s not a competition, just sharing what you can share to those people who have the same interests with you. Just complaining doesn’t do much, but doing something about what you consider a problem is better.
Life in the real world is hard, sometimes it’s harsh, some of us just click on JYJ3 to have a minute or even seconds of escape from stress, pressure, sadness and difficulties , and everybody has her/his own way of refreshing/ relaxing. Hope we’ll just have to learn that each person is unique.

You made a good point about being proactive and I’ll bear that in mind. We should all be more active in showing our support for all 3 during this period of solo activities, and not just our bias. And I think the words you chose to use in this comment are better than in your previous one (‘whining’ ‘noisy’ etc.).
‘A house divided against itself cannot stand.’ Let us always, always remember that JYJ comes first.

I don’t know where you got your victim ‘Jaeharems against Chunsas and Xiapwas’ mentality from. JYJ3 is a site that supports all 3, and most of us (including myself) consider a true JYJ fan to be one who supports all 3. Your incendiary and untrue remarks are harmful.
