I remember my experience there, you know, there is one girl who very much in love with jaejae, there is many jaejae added in my fb, before i had 20 jaejae but i deleted the 19 jaejae when I found out the real one, i mean jae account that i feel it was real, it was more on the feelings, i just follow my feelings. Im not sure if he is the real jaejae but he is mysterious and he acts not celebrity just normal, but there was something about that jae, i cant explain.
This girl im talking about always post jae walls, always tagging jae’s photos and she is kind of annoying to fans. She was like a sasaeng who post on jae wall until it got’s loaded, sometimes its flooding. Jae replied sometimes to fans and fans went so crazy. There are some pictures on that jae account that never been publish on net. It was tagged wit copyright, so no one dare to steal it. However that girl, keep on tagging it even its copyrighted.
I think it depends on what you like more. I have both accounts, where I use FB for my family, colleagues, friends and favourite things. I use Twitter to follow JYJ, but then I befriend many other fans. I love them and want to interact with them often. That is why I prefer Twitter more and am lacking in updating my FB account.
But I think both Facebook and Twitter are good in social networking life….

I had such fun earlier in the week that I want to try and start another discussion at a time where I can actually attempt a conversation rather than the comment-and-run that I had to do Tuesday night. Particularly since it was the last comment thread that I answered (while half-asleep), talking about how and why Junsu’s image has evolved the way it has, that has stayed with me. Even though I believe that SME was holding all of them back in expressing themselves, that doesn’t explain the timing of this metamorphosis.
I think it comes down to a question that, because of these guys, comes up for me very often : What does it mean to be sexy? What makes a person sexy?
I realize this is about as objective a question as “What makes good tasting food” but I think there are some necessary foundations for the characteristic, and hopefully by talking about specifics, we can start to see some larger patterns.
My more recent attempts to find one word to describe each of the guys would usually be: Jaejoong is beautiful (in every way), Junsu is sex, but Yoochun is sexy. That has changed now, but why? I never had any trouble imagining tying Junsu naked to a chair and covering him in ice cream, so why would Yoochun be the sexy one? And why is Junsu (one of the) the sexy one(s) now?
All of my explanations seem to come down to attitude. It’s not about looks or build. It’s not about clothes or the lack of them. It’s not about having the pole-dancing moves, it’s how those moves are used. It’s now the clothes are worn. It’s how the body is held. Yes, it’s all in the attitude.
But that attitude isn’t about sex either; it’s about power. I think Yoochun is sexy because he knows his own power. He had to make some HUGE life-changing decisions before they ever decided to split from SME. He’s become good at it. He’s confident in his decision and in his ability to deal with the consequences. That’s what I mean by power, it’s not about power over other people, but knowing the extent of his own power. Add a little sexual spark to that and you get dead sexy.
Now, I can hear everyone say that Junsu has always been the most confident creature on the planet. I would agree with you, on the soccer field and on the stage he has tremendous professional confidence. However, until 2009, he never had to make a really important decision. In fact, he was discouraged from making those kind of decisions. What has changed is that he now knows he can trust his own judgement, take a risk, and he know that he can handle it if it all goes wrong. Those things are actually more important in good sex than people tend to realize.
All three of them are getting that experience, but at the beginning of 2010 when he put out “Intoxication”, I don’t think Junsu was there yet. He had the moves–oh god did he have the moves–and the body (GUH!) but perhaps he was still uncertain about taking personal risks. It was jaw-dropping, but was it sexy? Compare the MV with the latest concert footage and see for yourself.
(A note about why I didn’t discuss Jaejoong: He needs his own post. My views on that one are complicated with a capital COMPLICATED. But don’t let that stop you!)

What makes a man appealling? Is it his dashing good looks? Is it his rock-hard pecs and abs of steel? Or is it his smile and his personality that takes the top plum? In a society where everyone seems aesthetically astute, it’s difficult to validate this question for sure. Sexiness is a very subjective matter and is very relative at that. It holds inconsonant views from each individual just as everyone squabbles over tastes in clothes and food. Hence, a universal answer to this blown-up question is an illusion.
So what makes a man sexy? Take your whiffs off the following:
1. Masculinity
There is more to a man than his firm butt and washboard abs. True, what a woman first notices is his anatomical assets but what lingers in her mind is not all that. It’s his inherent masculinity. It’s in the way he languidly struts across the room with a show of adequacy and grace and the way he flashes the glint in his eyes that ultimately creates the spark. It’s also in the manner that he moves and talks that keeps women’s eyes riveted at him. Being masculine does not merely suggest flaunting a large build or a protective quality but having this natural instinctive masculine self to trigger women’s instinctive feelings of attraction.
2. Smile
A natural sweet smile is one of the greatest attraction of a man. It exudes an aura of congeniality and establishes charisma presence. It also breaks a woman’s resistance and communicates hidden messages without any verbal language. This is why a man who is generous with his smile is guaranteed to maintain a women-magnet profile!
3. Eye contact
A man who knows how to have eye contact is a man who knows how to communicate. Women just like men are absolute attention seekers. They want men to listen and to take heed of the things they say. No woman likes a man who smells a bit too ripe like he just spent 24 hours locked in the bathroom. If a man looks good and smells even better, women are bound to swarm around him.
6. Sense of Style
Some men just don’t seem the type to go with the fashion trend. But it does not mean that they are passe. Some just have their own personal preferences and resist the lure of punked-up garments. Actually, it’s not the clothes that make a man sexy. It’s how he carries his apparel with confidence and ease that does. Clothes don’t entice women, it’s the man that makes those clothes look good in him that wiles them.
7. Communication skills
Intellect is a factor in today’s attraction equation. We are in such a competitive world that anyone without it is immediately slighted. But intellect without communication skills is not an attractive product. Conversational skills are necessary for any man to win the tilt. He must know when and how to start up a conversation and carry it on ’til it tapers off. He should not patronize women and is not so full of himself. It is believed that if a man is able to stimulate a woman’s brain juices in a conversation, it is likely that he can stimulate her other juices as well.
8. Sensitivity
Sensitivity is sexy but too much sensitivity is feminity. So where do we draw the line? When we talk about sensitivity on the right scale, it means having a sense of empathy, confidentiality and trust rolled into one. When a woman confides something, a man’s initial reaction is to help her find a solution or fix it himself. This is not sensitivity. When a woman expresses her feelings, she just needs an ear to insorb the steam out of her being. A sexy man sees this through and gets women every time.
9. Sense of Humor
Laughter releases chemicals that create a sense of well-being, which is a wonderful turn-on. A man equipped with a good sense of humor automatically wins his points on the sexy scale with women. With the mighty use of his expression and wits combined, he becomes an addiction that women just can’t get enough of. Women think that if he can evoke them with laughter in public, chances are he can also make them giggle in bed.
10. Oddity
Extrinsic and intrinsic personal abilities and traits that are considered unique and superior by a woman’s biology and also by the society to which she identifies with are, to varying extents, very charming to the female species. If a man has the gift of music or have potential fancy footwork or simply has art at his fingertips, he can charm his way anywhere. A mysterious facade that keeps her intrigued and guessing is also deemed bewitching. But a man’s resistance to a woman’s seduction is considered the prime. It’s effects are naturally ingrained into the “sex” part of a woman’s brain that it drives her motors purring all the time.
What makes a man sexy is but everything about him and even more. Whether it be on the surface or skin deep, it’s just a matter of projection. Every man is sexy in their own ways. They just have to feel that in themselves so the seething sexiness comes out of them naturally.
So who’s more sexy between J-Y-J is a very subjective matter, and there’s no wrong answer for that, it can be Jaejoong, Yoochun or Junsu, it depends on one’s definition of being sexy.
If one says Yoochun is more sexy than Junsu, it doesn’t mean that Junsu is not sexy ( since there are fans who freak out by that indicator “more” , past articles gave me shiver how they consider that as derogatory). If the speaker says Junsu is the sexiest, or YC is the sexiest or JJ is the sexiest, all possible answers are true, no false answer, it all depends on individual criteria. But it’s fun talking about these three sexy guys, their strengths and weaknesses so I wish fans will read further discussion with open mind, no need of violent reaction just like in the past articles whenever there’s a comparison made.

That’s true dear. That’s what is commonly called “chemistry” between two persons. To say “there’s chemistry between him and me”, that means there’s “sexual attraction” between him and me. It’s something we “sense” which attracts us to the other person. For me there always have been an intense chemistry between me and Jaejoong and between me and Junsu. Not much between Yoochun and me although I sometimes perceive him as a sexually attractive man. And that’s true, it’s a very personal feeling

This is actually the type of thing that I wanted to avoid. I was hoping to dig past the gender-biased stereotypes and find out what makes a person sexy. And as it is so subjective, I wanted it to be about what you find sexy, which very likely has nothing to do with anything on this list.
This is a good place to start, though, if you’ve never actually thought about it and just went with your gut. Which is perfectly valid! Nothing wrong with the answer, “He/she just is.”

There are many things I find sexy when there’s chemistry between that man and me. Some can be pretty obvious while others are tiny and almost difficult to perceive for everybody else (I’ve noticed that chatting with some of the girls).
A gesture showing pleasure, the way in which he’s closing his eyes, his mouth, the way he moves his head, the looks he gives and the way of the looks, everything can make that man to be perceived as sexy by me. It’s pretty subjective written like this but allow me to use Junsu’s MV to illustrate my points. In the second half of the video, starting with him as the Master vampire or the Black widow, as you want to describe him. His attitude, very soft but provocative, the way the dancers move their hands over him and his gestures showing pleasure, he likes to be touched like this, he’s letting them do and he’s being passive letting them do. The way he looks at the dancers with his eyes on fire indicating that he wants more His own hands over his body, caressing himself; he wants to be caressed like that. His black shirt slipping down his shoulders and allowing us to look at his chest and his beautiful back, very silky inviting us to touch him, to feel his skin. There’s a tiny moment when the shirt slips a little more, letting half of his left nipple exposed ¡OMGS!!! Extremely erotic (as erotic as the piercing Jae use to wear in his left nipple ¡slurp!). I can’t argue with that. I consider liking sex and appreciating sensual experiences one of those foundations of being “sexy”. Before you think, “Who doesn’t like sex?” I want you to consider the difference between sex and orgasm. Everybody likes to get off, but not everybody enjoys the process of getting there. Not everybody will savour the journey. For me someone who is sexy suggests that they would enjoy the experience as much (if not more) than the climax.
I’m going to challenge you a bit, though. Someone else could be put in the same wardrobe, coached to do exactly the same motions, fake a similar expression and be so not sexy. What do you think makes this work for Junsu? Or more accurately, what do you think makes Junsu work for you?

Sorry for the late reply; weekends are terribly busy for me and it’s 1:00 am at my place now.
What do I think makes Junsu work for me………. Well, this is a very personal answer, I mean, it’s different for every person. I think first of all, I liked him previously. I liked his personality; his crazy mixture of a sweet child and a hot lover, both in the same body. And I liked him physically, of course. To summarize, I liked the previous Junsu. When he appeared with his new look, the Tod look in the Singles magazine, I went ¡OMG! Precisely what I had been expecting from him. Then, him so sexy and self confident at the concert in Lima; to die. Since I knew details of his challenging role as Tod, that enhanced my expectations. Finally his “Tarantallegra” MV and I was lost. I think the mixture between his personality, how I perceived him to be and his transformation into a sexual bomb, that made him work for me. It wasn’t pure sex and fire; there’s a deeper feeling involved.
I want to add something I forgot when I wrote about what I found sexy in Junsu; his dominating attitude. That burnt me alive.

Yoochun: I’ve seen more than once sexy attitudes in him, and he’s damn hot and seductive when he wants to be. The way he interacted with Gala during the performance of “I love you” in Barcelona left me in flames and almost sure that they had an affair. But most of the time, although he’s a ladies man (that means charming and attractive), he behaves extra properly; like a gentleman.
Jaejoong: I agree. We MUST have a discussion forum only for him. He’s the man whose extreme hotness is capable of melting the poles in a few seconds but sometimes he turns to be the most cute and sweet amongst the three. ¡What a paradox he is! I think the key is in his character.
Junsu: Junsu, Junsu, Junsu……. I’ve described the way how I feel him before, but it’ll be fun to do it again. He used to be the cute and the sweet one, even the funny one. Jae and Chun always teasing on him and leaving him aside (poor baby LOL). But the cute kitten suddenly turned to be a TIGER. I said I suspected him to be like this since I knew him. He was leaving clues everywhere. Very proper and confident. Once in an old interview he said he would like to be the dominant one in a relationship, but also the dominated and he described himself as a “tiger”. Well, these words say a lot about him. He adopted Tod as some sort of model, but only to achieve his goal to free and to express his sexuality and to look as desirable as he wanted to look (I remember he seemed to feel a little uncomfortable when Yoochun said once that Junsu was ugly as a joke), to be and to feel before the whole world. And gosh the man achieved that goal with honors. How hot and absolutely “eatable” he looks nowadays. Just take a look at the concerts videos, the airport pics and his MV; he emits sensuality through every pore of his skin, he looks deliciously desirable. His great body and his beautiful face are the perfect complement. I lose my breath when I look at him behaving so erotic and sexual. That’s what happened to me in Peru. As soon as he entered the stage, I looked at him. ¡Gorgeous! When he standed in front of me, moving his delicious hips (ahh, the way he moves, so erotic, so sexy, deliciously sexual), he was emitting a great amount of sensuality and confidence and he struk me hard, like an electrical shock, and I was lost in him literally, he captivated my attention, my senses and my being. I consider this a very, very important aspect of being sexy — being a grown-up. Knowing who you are and what you are capable of. Now this isn’t like puberty that suddenly hits you within a certain age range, it’s a lifelong process. But you are more likely to find this self-awareness in someone who is 30 than in someone who is 20, and which is why some of the people I consider sexiest are over 50.
The reason that I’ve focused on Junsu for this one is that I believe we have been watching an important part of that process over the past 3 years. Yoochun seemed to have already achieved that milestone, and Jaejoong…takes his own path. (I adore him but he confuses the hell out of me…which is why I adore him.)

I just want to clarify what you are saying because the phrase “in a proper way” tends to make many people (including myself) very defensive.
All cultures use sex as a way to control people. It is one of our fundamental drives and our biggest vulnerability. Talking about experiencing sexuality “in a proper way” is using the exact language that is used for that control. It implies that there is one proper way. There isn’t. There isn’t 2, there isn’t 12, there are in fact over 6 billion proper ways. Our sexuality is unique as our brain waves and just a changeable.
I think (correct me if I’m wrong) you mean to say there are moral and cultural prejudices which don’t allow us to experience sexuality in an open way, an honest way, an authentic way. Something that implies removing the artificial restrictions. I am right there with you. *nodding*

Eliza, it’s approxiamtely 2:00 AM here, but I’m going to try and sound cogent.
I completely agree about the ‘attitude’ concept. What I’m observing is the maturation rate of all three of them growing almost exponentially. They were on the verge of hitting that grown-up cusp just before they jumped shipped for survival’s sake. Their minds were filled with the desire to be in charge of their own lives. No more characterizations from the company. No more telling them who or what they should be.
When a guy steps up to the plate and takes charge of his life, that is sexy, and it helps him emit sex in his persona. That is becoming a man. This is why I refuse to refer to them as boys. They are now grown-up MEN. Men who know who they are and where they want to go. Confidence is the ultimate ego booster. It is essential in keeping that backbone straight.
It does come out in their music now. The songs they have created since their departure say, caring, love, passion, energy, joy, happiness, wild abandon, and so many other emotions. Expressing themselves on a level that finally gives each one of them his own definition, is so empowering. Empowerment is sexy. No puppet master pulling strings. The one in charge is YOU.
Even though I often refer to JJ, YC, and JS as being one soul with three personalities, I do recognize they are individuals. This is something they are now able to be – individuals. Being part of a group does not mean subjugating yourself. The hunger they craved to be individuals is what we are seeing in their songwriting. Junsu’s “Intoxication” is a prime example.
When the other projects came out, those also gave us a look into their inner souls. YC’s quiet voice in his pieces don’t have to be vocally powerful to get across his sexiness. His rap in “Song With No Name”, is a prime example. He’s not talking about love or a relationship, but he is damn sexy in calling SoMeone out. How sweet is that! And even though not a lot of people are fans of “The Beginning”, when Yoochun sings “I Love You”, it is the sweetest expression of a man wanting his woman back. He knows he made a mistake and wants to correct it. Giving voice to emotions like this, is SO grown-up.
Now Junsu is taking his game up to another level. The cute faced one is now a force on the prowl. Watch out now. Strength in voice and movement, this is the new Junsu. Yep, sexy is the new game in town. I always say, watch the quiet ones. They have the potential to become something else completely. Every time I watch “Tarantallegra”, I see something different. Maybe because there is so much there visually, one needs more than one viewing to take it all in. But the changes are all good as far as I’m concerned. I love seeing JS morph into a more confident persona. I always knew he had it in him, but this album just confirms this.
I strongly believe the Thanksgiving Concerts in Japan were the stepping stone for the transformations. They came away from that experience knowing they could finally stand on their own. Now each and every endeavor is helping to support that belief.
I watch the video of Junsu on stage and see him change almost overnight. I watch Yoochun and Jaejoong bare their souls in dramas. The music projects are saying we are growing.

I think this is more important than the confidence part of it — putting that confidence into action. No, confidence is over-used and I think under-utilized. Many people have confidence, but don’t to anything with it because they are afraid of damaging that confidence. They are still to afraid of failing to try. What I prefer is competence. Someone who knows what they are good at and puts that confidence to use. They may fail, but they learn from it. When they succeed, they know why (it isn’t luck).
We seem to be talking about an approach to life in general and I can imagine many people thinking, “What does that have to do with being sexy?” My theory is if you want to see how a person is in bed, look at how they live their life. How do they deal with other people? How do they see or deal with themselves?
Yoochun was always top of my list because he is self-assured and self-reliant, but is also very caring. He knows what he wants, and he’s not afraid to go after it. He’s not going to deliberately hurt any one, but he’s not going to sacrifice himself either. Yoochun seems like a person I could completely relax with. I find that so very sexy.
Junsu… is demanding. Which I think many people find a serious turn on (as do I in small doses) And what he is demanding of himself lately is very appealing. He’s demanding honesty and creativity and insight. He’s demanding bravery — take the risk even though it’s scary (Maybe I’m not good enough, but I’m good enough to try.) He’s always demanded excellence of himself but this new direction is interesting. Maybe that’s why he’s gone from straight forward sex to sexy in my mind. He’s starting to surprise me.
Jaejoong always surprises me. And worries me and excites me and touches me and…. He’s like his music, so layered, there is always something new. For me calling him sexy seems…inadequate. But since that’s the topic, I find him sexiest when he’s not trying to perform, when he’s focused on doing something that he loves and knows he’s good at (which I think is more likely to happen on stage than at a photoshoot, it’s in that moment when he just…goes with it.). Anyone remember the pic of him at the mixing board helping Junsu with “No Gain”? That’s Jaejoong being sexy in my eyes.

You are right, competence is more meaningful. To me, competence denotes the ‘whole’ package, not just confidence as in, ‘can do spirit’. This is why I say the Thanskgiving Concerts in Japan were so meaningful. When I watched the clips, I came away with the feeling that the guys had moved up another rung. They knew they had to produce. Two hundred thousand fans were going to witness whether or not they still have what it takes, and they delivered! No spoiled children need apply here.
Grown men who know what they want out of life, make a plan, and execute that plan, are way more appealing. The competence, the self-assuredness are like magnets. They draw you in. That’s why men who are powerful in their chosen fields attract women like bees to honey. These men can look like crap, but that’s not what the women are looking at.
I had to smile while reading your assessment of Yoochun. To me, that is what he portrays when he is singing “I Love You” on stage. I was viewing the Seoul concert video not too long ago – thank goodness for the individual perspective – he simply oozed confidence. His stage presence was so strong. When you look at his eyes, you see he doesn’t give a tinker’s damn what anyone else thinks. As long as he knows where he’s going, that’s all that matters. Also, that picture of him looking at that baby from the Blessing Yoochun donation, captures his caring nature.
Yes, Junsu is demanding. He demands that he turns out a perfect performance, doesn’t want to settle for less. Looking at what direction he takes is going to be very interesting. I seriously believe he wants to try EVERYTHING. I don’t think he will ever be satisfied with the status quo. The level of performance he gave in the video shrieks, “here I am!” I believe over these past three years, he’s developed a level of self that is so strong, he will be able to handle whatever comes his way.
I agree too, Jaejoong is many layers. Somehow, I don’t think we will see them all at one time. It will be like a time-lapsed lotus flower opening. Once all the layers have laid open, then we will finally see the total beauty within. You’re right, he doesn’t have to be ‘doing’ anything in particular to be sexy. It’s that aura that he possesses. In that picture of him and his baby niece, same effect. Just the simple act of watching her do her thing, made him appear so enticing. This I think is why the powers that be are so afraid of him. They fully understand the internal power he possesses. Because he, like all three of them knows how to stay focused, he will accomplish everything he sets out to do.
Again, back to the concert video. When the guys were swaggering their way down the stage to sing IDS (in those awesome black outfits), they gave off so much sexiness, it was almost criminal.
But what makes me happiest is the fact that they are carrying themselves with such dignity. That too is sexy as all get out. I don’t know of another situation where three indiviuals have been forced to endure so much indignity, and still manage to conduct themselves beyond reproach. This strength of character is what will be the winning of the race.
Dignity. I like that. Dignity doesn’t mean passivity or even acceptance, but it does show a level of self-possession that is not easy to achieve or maintain.
(Oh! “No Gain” is on right now. Is it tacky to be spazzing over Jaejoong’s composing while Junsu is singing? Speaking of dignity… )
I think the Thanksgiving Concerts in Japan were meaningful professionally, but they were still under Avex at that point. Those concerts may have confirmed that they were capable of working as three and allowed them to take the chance with “The Beginning” but they were still being…taken care of at that point. I think the next year was far more significant. After the logistical mess of the N.A. Showcases and the natural disaster that was the Seoul concert in Nov 2010, I think it was the World Tour and Their Rooms that showed them the success in Japan wasn’t a fluke. If all there is only success how can you really be sure how good you are? They needed to stumble a bit. They needed to miss the mark. It was how they handled those misses that really impressed me. Yup, damn sexy, the lot of them.

I don’t follow JYJ closely. My observations tend to be superficial…
Yoochun: slightly different from your views. I think he used to be more self sufficient than self-assured (gained confidence after SKKS, I think). He doesn’t need an audience to be a musician (or an actor). I feel his music is “music-oriented”.
Junsu: as you said, definitely the most confident one professionally. It’s “responsive confidence”. He needs his audience. To me, his music is performance-oriented. As you said in the previous post, he has been trying to be “more” for a long time. At the beginning, I thought he was challenging the uni-dimensional Xiah Junsu people were holding. After watching the Tarantallegra MV and listening to his album, I think he is actually asking (and confident enough to ask) more fundamental questions, like the assumed “internal consistency” (in addition to gender, etc). This is super sexy to me;-).
Jaejoong: To me, he is the most insecure one. I can sense his insecurity and reservation in his singing. If I want to stretch my imagination, it might be partially because he is the most “metaphysical” one. He thinks a lot and has a lot of doubts. After watching some Dr Jin cuts, I realized he is really smart to take the warrior role (and the role in PTB). The two characters are “round” (not flat ones), which allow development and depth. Kyung Tak is a character full of self-struggles and uncertainty. Jaejoong is the perfect person to portray this. (I might be wrong since I am not into k-drama. I didn’t really follow PTB or RTP).

It does. (It really, really does!) I was hoping to get away from the idea that sexiness is gender oriented and look at the characteristics that play to both. I find the same things sexy in both genders. The knowledge of one’s own power, competence, thoughtfulness, self-reliance don’t change with a minor rearrangement of skin. Sex rests in the brain after all.
I agree with almost all your comment about the guys, particularly re: Jaejoong. Yoochun is the only one that I would have a minor quibble with, simply because I think the choices that he made pre-SKKS took a great deal of…maybe it’s bravery I’m looking at. I think finding a firm footing in acting has made a difference, but it’s matter of degree with him. It’s given him a security he hadn’t had before, and that’s let him seem more self-assured.

I find very interesting to see the difference between the perceptions of a passionate person and the perceptions of a coherent one. If we add the two ways of thinking, then we have a great answer to the question “What is sexy”
Not disputing the importance of the concert works following the Thanksgiving concerts. For me what was important about them was watching their faces during and after. The reception in a country they considered their second home. Yes, Avex was still the overseer at this point, but Avex always did showcase more openess than SME.
When I watched them sing “I Have Nothing”, facing each other, chills went up and down my spine. For the most part, male singers – single or group – do not bother touching a song sung by a female. Females on the other hand are not so squimish. But watching and listening to JYJ sing Whitney’s song, and nail it, was the most gratifying moment for me. The message of the song and the delivery, was all that it could be. And for them to send out that message with “W”, showed what they are truly made of.
But the crowning image of their dignity was the performances at a-Nation, knowing about the suspension coming up. This to me showed they could handle anything in life that is thrown to them. This is not an easy task to pull off, but these three young men did that. So, when they had to deal with the newer part of their lives, the foundation had already been laid.
Each and every time they put on a new performance, there is a new side to them. The showcases allowed them to show how they handle adversity with grace. The ‘natural disaster’ of the Seoul concert as you call it… , simply amazed me. I would have sat in the freezing cold to watch, but to perform under those conditions and perform admirably was just incredible. I don’t know many who would have been able to do that. Here in the States, only a regular season football game is played under those conditions. Notice I said a ‘regular’ season game. Not the Super Bowl.
Yes, they get tired and can show signs of fatigue. But the one inescapable fact is, all their concert apperances are character building. These are foundations that will stand them in good stead from here on out. They can organize, showcase, build, produce and perform. Only the strong survive.
Yes, competence, confidence are all part of being a total sexy man who knows where he’s going. I don’t doubt for one moment that the three of them will make it to wherever the future leads them. I’m just happy to be able to see it happen.

I think that’s why being able to say that “Elisabeth” was defining for Junsu is so intriguing. We can look at the before and after and say, yes, there was a distinct leap made.

True, because they are such unique talents. Memories are made from the things we see and experience, in all aspects of our lives. I’ve seen so many concerts, I can’t even begin to mention who, when, where. But one thing I always take away from them is a ‘feeling’. Some artists have more going on for them than others. But what I experienced at the Prudential Center in NJ, was so special. I’m still seeing and hearing, after all this time.
When I think of the lucky folks who got a chance to see Elisabeth with Junsu in it, I do have a tinge of envy. It was a special thematic piece and the stamp Junsu put on it, will probably stand for a long time to come. I seriously doubt if he will ever be the same old Junsu again. That child has become a man!
Just has to comment on this and I’m totally leaving Jae out coz I’ll probably have to prepare a 10,000 words essay on him and I can’t do that with my iPad! XDD
Chunnie, is someone I’ve always find sexy. Yes, despite my longing for Jae, I am sometimes also sexually attracted to Chunnie.
What I find most sexy about Chunnie is his attitude.
I absolutely love the way he portrays himself, also his character and the very person that he really is.

Your comments about seeing Junsu as a brother brought this up, because I feel that way about Junho. They are brothers, they’re twins! They share many of the same characteristics that attract me to Junsu, but in Junho they just…don’t. I can easily see how other people would find him sexy, so what does that mean?

Please, before we judge him, try to get to know the person first, I understand we cannot please everybody, but definitely he is not faking kim jae joong, have you even realized that how he can he fake kim jae joong when he knows there is mjjeje account? I don’t think the person behind @kjj_mjjeje wants to fake him, and people who follow him and talk to him knows he is not kim jae joong, excuse me, there is also other country who follow him not only my country. hey guys! I’m from Philippines, but currently on summer break here in Qatar (where I grew up).
So, I’ve been a loyal site visitor of this site a few months after it started, I remember leaving comments before, but due to my classes, just read the articles and less commenting, and since the Twitter fight, I just really stopped commenting…anyway, it’s good to be back! I’m really glad how much ALL of us have grown–the JYJ members, CJeS company, the fans, and the entire family.
Also, I’m really excited for Dr. Jin later. Hopefully, people would love it. And as for Rooftop Prince, so sad to let it end, but I’m glad Yoochun was part of RtP, I’m sure the drama means a lot to Chun after all he’s been through while filming the drama–the ‘crazy’ fans scandal, and the death of his dad.

A fan, whom I met at Seoul Jamsil Indoor Stadium on May 20th when a popular group JYJ’s member Kim Junsu held his first solo concert, expressed her concern that “the reality of a competent artist with many talents being boycotted by broadcasting companies is sorrowful. I do not know until when they have to be chained to unfair restrictions and pressures.”
A middle aged female fan who lives in Yangchun-gu, Seoul asked back “is it logical that there is no television stage, which a leader of Hallyu(Korean wave) star can stand on after releasing the solo album?” and she hoped “not only Kim Junsu but JYJ members can share musical communion with the public on television as soon as possible.”
Fans’ resentments toward music programs, which shut their doors to the appearance of JYJ, is getting higher again. This became stronger after Kim Junsu’s concert.
Fans are expressing their sadness that they “cannot see JYJ on music programs although they are one of best singers regarding their abilities and presence in Korea” and opposed to this situation by saying “this (banning JYJ) is a great loss in Korean music industry” on various internet communities.
Kim Junsu honestly confessed the reality and his worry during the press conference for the release of his album: “making the album under the assumption that I cannot be on television was one of the greatest worries (I had). This is an obvious situation which made me enervated.”
Most officials/staffs of entertainment industry have the same view that JYJ being banned on music program, which already became long-term, is abnormal and deformed.
The fact that their music cannot be aired on television, despite the fact that three members have already won various suits including the exclusive contract suspension injunction against ex-company SM Entertainment and the fact that the court has guaranteed their freedom for entertainment activities including appearing on television, proves there is a group of unfair and unjust authority in the broadcasting industry.
Thus we can point out that they (JYJ) became victims of the fight for hegemony which derived from the composition of authority in entertainment industry and broadcast industry.
However, we have to cognize the fact that the channels where their music can be shared have increased and their effects surpassed the effects by media while JYJ has been completely isolated and restricted from the broadcasting industry.
Fans, who love JYJ, have increased all over the world and became more intimate. Members imprinted their presences to the public through various areas including music, drama, musical and etc. and have armed more firmly.
In reality, the music video ‘Tarantallegra,’ the title song of Kim Junsu’s solo album attracted viewers around the world as soon as it has been released and passed 3million views. Also, his album sold more than 100 thousand copies beating Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber in ITunes, Rakuten, Amazone Japan, and etc in Japan. This result is more valuable as he has achieved it without any activity in Japan recently.
Prohibition on JYJ appearing on television is no longer appropriate or persuasive. It is embarrassing because ‘neglecting’ JYJ continuously caused the exposure of unfair/narrow-minded relationship between Korean popular music industry and the broadcast industry to the global music market.
It is compromising that backwardness of Korean pop music industry has been exposed to Hallyu (Korean wave) fans. In one word, it (JYJ being boycotted) is a waste/loss for national power of Hallyu.
Maybe fans’ complaints and appeals toward broadcasting companies, which have high barriers and restrictions against JYJ, might be portrayed undersized. It might seem reckless and portrayed as throwing an egg against the rock. [TN: It is a Korean proverb/idiom which means ‘beating one’s head against a wall’]
However, the broadcasting companies, which truckled to the large authority of entertainment industry, should remember: there are many methods to break the rock/wall, and that disgusting ‘stain,’ even if it is hard to break a wall with eggs, will remain in the memory of the history forever.

what a great report! this injustice towards the boys has been dragging for to long now. I wish reports like this would be made more often and not every few months. I heard that JYJ actually recently won against SM and the court is deciding about compensation right now. Even as a fan i’m not sure about this news, there have been no report. Does anyone knows more about this, with sources?
I heard some fans (korean) says that JYJ can’t appeal publicly because the whole Kpop industry is behind SM. Its not just SM… even companies like JYP and YG are in cahoots with SM… so if the broadcast stations try anything funny, all of their necks are on the chopping boards. Some korean fans are even afraid to speak up on this in fear that this might cause more harm than good for JYJ. We i-fans can’t do nothing at all. SAD!
We can only say that JYJ is probably one hell of a threat to all of them… so they are all just trying to bury them like how they buried H.O.T post split. JJ is so much of a hyung now that it hurts me sometimes, the way he tries so hard and all. Everyone probably knows that JJ is the most sensitive and thoughtful one, yet the most emotionally fragile of the all right? I think it depends on what you like more. I have both accounts, where I use FB for my family, colleagues, friends and favourite things. I use Twitter to follow JYJ, but then I befriend many other fans. I love them and want to interact with them often. That is why I prefer Twitter more and am lacking in updating my FB account.

I had such fun earlier in the week that I want to try and start another discussion at a time where I can actually attempt a conversation rather than the comment-and-run that I had to do Tuesday night. Particularly since it was the last comment thread that I answered (while half-asleep), talking about how and why Junsu’s image has evolved the way it has, that has stayed with me. Even though I believe that SME was holding all of them back in expressing themselves, that doesn’t explain the timing of this metamorphosis.
I think it comes down to a question that, because of these guys, comes up for me very often : What does it mean to be sexy? What makes a person sexy?
I realize this is about as objective a question as “What makes good tasting food” but I think there are some necessary foundations for the characteristic, and hopefully by talking about specifics, we can start to see some larger patterns.
My more recent attempts to find one word to describe each of the guys would usually be: Jaejoong is beautiful (in every way), Junsu is sex, but Yoochun is sexy. That has changed now, but why? I never had any trouble imagining tying Junsu naked to a chair and covering him in ice cream, so why would Yoochun be the sexy one? And why is Junsu (one of the) the sexy one(s) now?
All of my explanations seem to come down to attitude. It’s not about looks or build. It’s not about clothes or the lack of them. It’s not about having the pole-dancing moves, it’s how those moves are used. It’s now the clothes are worn. It’s how the body is held. Yes, it’s all in the attitude.
But that attitude isn’t about sex either; it’s about power. I think Yoochun is sexy because he knows his own power. He had to make some HUGE life-changing decisions before they ever decided to split from SME. He’s become good at it. He’s confident in his decision and in his ability to deal with the consequences. That’s what I mean by power, it’s not about power over other people, but knowing the extent of his own power. Add a little sexual spark to that and you get dead sexy.
Now, I can hear everyone say that Junsu has always been the most confident creature on the planet. I would agree with you, on the soccer field and on the stage he has tremendous professional confidence. However, until 2009, he never had to make a really important decision. In fact, he was discouraged from making those kind of decisions. What has changed is that he now knows he can trust his own judgement, take a risk, and he know that he can handle it if it all goes wrong. Those things are actually more important in good sex than people tend to realize.
All three of them are getting that experience, but at the beginning of 2010 when he put out “Intoxication”, I don’t think Junsu was there yet. He had the moves–oh god did he have the moves–and the body (GUH!) but perhaps he was still uncertain about taking personal risks. It was jaw-dropping, but was it sexy? Compare the MV with the latest concert footage and see for yourself.
(A note about why I didn’t discuss Jaejoong: He needs his own post. My views on that one are complicated with a capital COMPLICATED. But don’t let that stop you!)

What makes a man appealling? Is it his dashing good looks? Is it his rock-hard pecs and abs of steel? Or is it his smile and his personality that takes the top plum? In a society where everyone seems aesthetically astute, it’s difficult to validate this question for sure. Sexiness is a very subjective matter and is very relative at that. It holds inconsonant views from each individual just as everyone squabbles over tastes in clothes and food. Hence, a universal answer to this blown-up question is an illusion.
So what makes a man sexy? Take your whiffs off the following:
1. Masculinity
There is more to a man than his firm butt and washboard abs. True, what a woman first notices is his anatomical assets but what lingers in her mind is not all that. It’s his inherent masculinity. It’s in the way he languidly struts across the room with a show of adequacy and grace and the way he flashes the glint in his eyes that ultimately creates the spark. It’s also in the manner that he moves and talks that keeps women’s eyes riveted at him. Being masculine does not merely suggest flaunting a large build or a protective quality but having this natural instinctive masculine self to trigger women’s instinctive feelings of attraction.
2. Smile
A natural sweet smile is one of the greatest attraction of a man. It exudes an aura of congeniality and establishes charisma presence. It also breaks a woman’s resistance and communicates hidden messages without any verbal language. This is why a man who is generous with his smile is guaranteed to maintain a women-magnet profile!
3. Eye contact
A man who knows how to have eye contact is a man who knows how to communicate. Women just like men are absolute attention seekers. They want men to listen and to take heed of the things they say. Thereupon, they demand affirmation. Eye contact is a way of ratifying. It makes a woman feel sufficiently attended to and cared for. 4. Confidence

5. Aromatic sense

No woman likes a man who smells a bit too ripe like he just spent 24 hours locked in the bathroom. If a man looks good and smells even better, women are bound to swarm around him.
6. Sense of Style
Some men just don’t seem the type to go with the fashion trend. But it does not mean that they are passe. Some just have their own personal preferences and resist the lure of punked-up garments. Actually, it’s not the clothes that make a man sexy. It’s how he carries his apparel with confidence and ease that does. Clothes don’t entice women, it’s the man that makes those clothes look good in him that wiles them.
7. Communication skills
Intellect is a factor in today’s attraction equation. We are in such a competitive world that anyone without it is immediately slighted. But intellect without communication skills is not an attractive product. Conversational skills are necessary for any man to win the tilt. He must know when and how to start up a conversation and carry it on ’til it tapers off. He should not patronize women and is not so full of himself. It is believed that if a man is able to stimulate a woman’s brain juices in a conversation, it is likely that he can stimulate her other juices as well.
8. Sensitivity
Sensitivity is sexy but too much sensitivity is feminity. So where do we draw the line? When we talk about sensitivity on the right scale, it means having a sense of empathy, confidentiality and trust rolled into one. When a woman confides something, a man’s initial reaction is to help her find a solution or fix it himself. This is not sensitivity. When a woman expresses her feelings, she just needs an ear to insorb the steam out of her being. A sexy man sees this through and gets women every time.
9. Sense of Humor
Laughter releases chemicals that create a sense of well-being, which is a wonderful turn-on. A man equipped with a good sense of humor automatically wins his points on the sexy scale with women. With the mighty use of his expression and wits combined, he becomes an addiction that women just can’t get enough of. Women think that if he can evoke them with laughter in public, chances are he can also make them giggle in bed.
10. Oddity
Extrinsic and intrinsic personal abilities and traits that are considered unique and superior by a woman’s biology and also by the society to which she identifies with are, to varying extents, very charming to the female species. If a man has the gift of music or have potential fancy footwork or simply has art at his fingertips, he can charm his way anywhere. A mysterious facade that keeps her intrigued and guessing is also deemed bewitching. But a man’s resistance to a woman’s seduction is considered the prime. It’s effects are naturally ingrained into the “sex” part of a woman’s brain that it drives her motors purring all the time.
What makes a man sexy is but everything about him and even more. Whether it be on the surface or skin deep, it’s just a matter of projection. Every man is sexy in their own ways. They just have to feel that in themselves so the seething sexiness comes out of them naturally.

So who’s more sexy between J-Y-J is a very subjective matter, and there’s no wrong answer for that, it can be Jaejoong, Yoochun or Junsu, it depends on one’s definition of being sexy.
If one says Yoochun is more sexy than Junsu, it doesn’t mean that Junsu is not sexy ( since there are fans who freak out by that indicator “more” , past articles gave me shiver how they consider that as derogatory). If the speaker says Junsu is the sexiest, or YC is the sexiest or JJ is the sexiest, all possible answers are true, no false answer, it all depends on individual criteria. But it’s fun talking about these three sexy guys, their strengths and weaknesses so I wish fans will read further discussion with open mind, no need of violent reaction just like in the past articles whenever there’s a comparison made.

That’s true dear. That’s what is commonly called “chemistry” between two persons. To say “there’s chemistry between him and me”, that means there’s “sexual attraction” between him and me. It’s something we “sense” which attracts us to the other person. For me there always have been an intense chemistry between me and Jaejoong and between me and Junsu. Not much between Yoochun and me although I sometimes perceive him as a sexually attractive man. And that’s true, it’s a very personal feeling

There are many things I find sexy when there’s chemistry between that man and me. Some can be pretty obvious while others are tiny and almost difficult to perceive for everybody else (I’ve noticed that chatting with some of the girls).
A gesture showing pleasure, the way in which he’s closing his eyes, his mouth, the way he moves his head, the looks he gives and the way of the looks, everything can make that man to be perceived as sexy by me. It’s pretty subjective written like this but allow me to use Junsu’s MV to illustrate my points. In the second half of the video, starting with him as the Master vampire or the Black widow, as you want to describe him. His attitude, very soft but provocative, the way the dancers move their hands over him and his gestures showing pleasure, he likes to be touched like this, he’s letting them do and he’s being passive letting them do. The way he looks at the dancers with his eyes on fire indicating that he wants more His own hands over his body, caressing himself; he wants to be caressed like that. His black shirt slipping down his shoulders and allowing us to look at his chest and his beautiful back, very silky inviting us to touch him, to feel his skin. There’s a tiny moment when the shirt slips a little more, letting half of his left nipple exposed ¡OMGS!!! Extremely erotic (as erotic as the piercing Jae use to wear in his left nipple ¡slurp!). I consider liking sex and appreciating sensual experiences one of those foundations of being “sexy”. Before you think, “Who doesn’t like sex?” I want you to consider the difference between sex and orgasm. Everybody likes to get off, but not everybody enjoys the process of getting there. Not everybody will savour the journey. For me someone who is sexy suggests that they would enjoy the experience as much (if not more) than the climax.
I’m going to challenge you a bit, though. Someone else could be put in the same wardrobe, coached to do exactly the same motions, fake a similar expression and be so not sexy. What do you think makes this work for Junsu? Or more accurately, what do you think makes Junsu work for you?

Sorry for the late reply; weekends are terribly busy for me and it’s 1:00 am at my place now.
What do I think makes Junsu work for me………. Well, this is a very personal answer, I mean, it’s different for every person. I think first of all, I liked him previously. I liked his personality; his crazy mixture of a sweet child and a hot lover, both in the same body. And I liked him physically, of course. To summarize, I liked the previous Junsu. When he appeared with his new look, the Tod look in the Singles magazine, I went ¡OMG! Precisely what I had been expecting from him. Then, him so sexy and self confident at the concert in Lima; to die. Since I knew details of his challenging role as Tod, that enhanced my expectations. Finally his “Tarantallegra” MV and I was lost. I think the mixture between his personality, how I perceived him to be and his transformation into a sexual bomb, that made him work for me. It wasn’t pure sex and fire; there’s a deeper feeling involved.
I want to add something I forgot when I wrote about what I found sexy in Junsu; his dominating attitude. That burnt me alive.
I want also to clarify, above when I talked about “experience sexuality in a proper way”, I meant “to experience sexuality acutely without nonsensical prejudices and according to each one’s prefrences”

Don’t laugh at me but I learnt and I felt sexy for the first time in my life when I was 25 LOL. Lets take a look at the boys.
Yoochun: I’ve seen more than once sexy attitudes in him, and he’s damn hot and seductive when he wants to be. The way he interacted with Gala during the performance of “I love you” in Barcelona left me in flames and almost sure that they had an affair. But most of the time, although he’s a ladies man (that means charming and attractive), he behaves extra properly; like a gentleman.
Jaejoong: I agree. We MUST have a discussion forum only for him. He’s the man whose extreme hotness is capable of melting the poles in a few seconds but sometimes he turns to be the most cute and sweet amongst the three. ¡What a paradox he is! I think the key is in his character.
Junsu: Junsu, Junsu, Junsu……. I’ve described the way how I feel him before, but it’ll be fun to do it again. He used to be the cute and the sweet one, even the funny one. But this year he found the perfect “role” to let his sexuality arouse and flow out of him: TOD, the God of Death in Elisabeth. He had to suffer both a physical and mental transformation, and I dare to say, also a transformation of his skills as a singer and actor in order to play Tod’s role. A very demanding character which oozes sensuality, arrogance, dominace, desire, selfishness and self confidence. Oho, and he played that role in a superb way, extraordinary performance. He adopted Tod as some sort of model, but only to achieve his goal to free and to express his sexuality and to look as desirable as he wanted to look (I remember he seemed to feel a little uncomfortable when Yoochun said once that Junsu was ugly as a joke), to be and to feel before the whole world. And gosh the man achieved that goal with honors. How hot and absolutely “eatable” he looks nowadays. Just take a look at the concerts videos, the airport pics and his MV; he emits sensuality through every pore of his skin, he looks deliciously desirable. His great body and his beautiful face are the perfect complement. I lose my breath when I look at him behaving so erotic and sexual. That’s what happened to me in Peru. As soon as he entered the stage, I looked at him. ¡Gorgeous! When he standed in front of me, moving his delicious hips (ahh, the way he moves, so erotic, so sexy, deliciously sexual), he was emitting a great amount of sensuality and confidence and he struk me hard, like an electrical shock, and I was lost in him literally, he captivated my attention, my senses and my being. Not everybody is sexy. Don’t laugh at me but I learnt and I felt sexy for the first time in my life when I was 25
I consider this a very, very important aspect of being sexy — being a grown-up. Knowing who you are and what you are capable of. Now this isn’t like puberty that suddenly hits you within a certain age range, it’s a lifelong process. But you are more likely to find this self-awareness in someone who is 30 than in someone who is 20, and which is why some of the people I consider sexiest are over 50.
The reason that I’ve focused on Junsu for this one is that I believe we have been watching an important part of that process over the past 3 years. Yoochun seemed to have already achieved that milestone, and Jaejoong…takes his own path. (I adore him but he confuses the hell out of me…which is why I adore him.)

I just want to clarify what you are saying because the phrase “in a proper way” tends to make many people (including myself) very defensive.
All cultures use sex as a way to control people. It is one of our fundamental drives and our biggest vulnerability. Talking about experiencing sexuality “in a proper way” is using the exact language that is used for that control. It implies that there is one proper way. There isn’t. There isn’t 2, there isn’t 12, there are in fact over 6 billion proper ways. Our sexuality is unique as our brain waves and just a changeable.
I think (correct me if I’m wrong) you mean to say there are moral and cultural prejudices which don’t allow us to experience sexuality in an open way, an honest way, an authentic way. Something that implies removing the artificial restrictions. I am right there with you. *nodding*

I completely agree about the ‘attitude’ concept. What I’m observing is the maturation rate of all three of them growing almost exponentially. They were on the verge of hitting that grown-up cusp just before they jumped shipped for survival’s sake. Their minds were filled with the desire to be in charge of their own lives. No more characterizations from the company. No more telling them who or what they should be.
When a guy steps up to the plate and takes charge of his life, that is sexy, and it helps him emit sex in his persona. That is becoming a man. This is why I refuse to refer to them as boys. They are now grown-up MEN. Men who know who they are and where they want to go. Confidence is the ultimate ego booster. It is essential in keeping that backbone straight.
It does come out in their music now. The songs they have created since their departure say, caring, love, passion, energy, joy, happiness, wild abandon, and so many other emotions. Expressing themselves on a level that finally gives each one of them his own definition, is so empowering. Empowerment is sexy. No puppet master pulling strings. The one in charge is YOU.
Even though I often refer to JJ, YC, and JS as being one soul with three personalities, I do recognize they are individuals. This is something they are now able to be – individuals. Being part of a group does not mean subjugating yourself. The hunger they craved to be individuals is what we are seeing in their songwriting. Junsu’s “Intoxication” is a prime example.
When the other projects came out, those also gave us a look into their inner souls. YC’s quiet voice in his pieces don’t have to be vocally powerful to get across his sexiness. His rap in “Song With No Name”, is a prime example. He’s not talking about love or a relationship, but he is damn sexy in calling SoMeone out. How sweet is that! And even though not a lot of people are fans of “The Beginning”, when Yoochun sings “I Love You”, it is the sweetest expression of a man wanting his woman back. He knows he made a mistake and wants to correct it. Giving voice to emotions like this, is SO grown-up.
Now Junsu is taking his game up to another level. The cute faced one is now a force on the prowl. Watch out now. Strength in voice and movement, this is the new Junsu. Yep, sexy is the new game in town. I always say, watch the quiet ones. They have the potential to become something else completely.
Every time I watch “Tarantallegra”, I see something different. Maybe because there is so much there visually, one needs more than one viewing to take it all in. But the changes are all good as far as I’m concerned. I love seeing JS morph into a more confident persona. I always knew he had it in him, but this album just confirms this.
I strongly believe the Thanksgiving Concerts in Japan were the stepping stone for the transformations. They came away from that experience knowing they could finally stand on their own. Now each and every endeavor is helping to support that belief.
I watch the video of Junsu on stage and see him change almost overnight. I watch Yoochun and Jaejoong bare their souls in dramas. The music projects are saying we are growing.

I think this is more important than the confidence part of it — putting that confidence into action. No, confidence is over-used and I think under-utilized. Many people have confidence, but don’t to anything with it because they are afraid of damaging that confidence. They are still to afraid of failing to try. What I prefer is competence. Someone who knows what they are good at and puts that confidence to use. They may fail, but they learn from it. When they succeed, they know why (it isn’t luck).
We seem to be talking about an approach to life in general and I can imagine many people thinking, “What does that have to do with being sexy?” My theory is if you want to see how a person is in bed, look at how they live their life. How do they deal with other people? How do they see or deal with themselves?
Yoochun was always top of my list because he is self-assured and self-reliant, but is also very caring. He knows what he wants, and he’s not afraid to go after it. He’s not going to deliberately hurt any one, but he’s not going to sacrifice himself either. Yoochun seems like a person I could completely relax with. I find that so very sexy.
Junsu… is demanding. Which I think many people find a serious turn on (as do I in small doses) And what he is demanding of himself lately is very appealing. He’s demanding honesty and creativity and insight. He’s demanding bravery — take the risk even though it’s scary (Maybe I’m not good enough, but I’m good enough to try.) He’s always demanded excellence of himself but this new direction is interesting. Maybe that’s why he’s gone from straight forward sex to sexy in my mind. He’s starting to surprise me.
Jaejoong always surprises me. And worries me and excites me and touches me and…. He’s like his music, so layered, there is always something new. For me calling him sexy seems…inadequate. But since that’s the topic, I find him sexiest when he’s not trying to perform, when he’s focused on doing something that he loves and knows he’s good at (which I think is more likely to happen on stage than at a photoshoot, it’s in that moment when he just…goes with it.). Anyone remember the pic of him at the mixing board helping Junsu with “No Gain”? That’s Jaejoong being sexy in my eyes.

You are right, competence is more meaningful. To me, competence denotes the ‘whole’ package, not just confidence as in, ‘can do spirit’. This is why I say the Thanskgiving Concerts in Japan were so meaningful. When I watched the clips, I came away with the feeling that the guys had moved up another rung. They knew they had to produce. Two hundred thousand fans were going to witness whether or not they still have what it takes, and they delivered! No spoiled children need apply here.
Grown men who know what they want out of life, make a plan, and execute that plan, are way more appealing. The competence, the self-assuredness are like magnets. They draw you in. That’s why men who are powerful in their chosen fields attract women like bees to honey. These men can look like crap, but that’s not what the women are looking at.
I had to smile while reading your assessment of Yoochun. To me, that is what he portrays when he is singing “I Love You” on stage. I was viewing the Seoul concert video not too long ago – thank goodness for the individual perspective – he simply oozed confidence. His stage presence was so strong. When you look at his eyes, you see he doesn’t give a tinker’s damn what anyone else thinks. As long as he knows where he’s going, that’s all that matters. Also, that picture of him looking at that baby from the Blessing Yoochun donation, captures his caring nature.
Yes, Junsu is demanding. He demands that he turns out a perfect performance, doesn’t want to settle for less. Looking at what direction he takes is going to be very interesting. I seriously believe he wants to try EVERYTHING. I don’t think he will ever be satisfied with the status quo. The level of performance he gave in the video shrieks, “here I am!” I believe over these past three years, he’s developed a level of self that is so strong, he will be able to handle whatever comes his way.
I agree too, Jaejoong is many layers. Somehow, I don’t think we will see them all at one time. It will be like a time-lapsed lotus flower opening. Once all the layers have laid open, then we will finally see the total beauty within. You’re right, he doesn’t have to be ‘doing’ anything in particular to be sexy. It’s that aura that he possesses. In that picture of him and his baby niece, same effect. Just the simple act of watching her do her thing, made him appear so enticing. This I think is why the powers that be are so afraid of him. They fully understand the internal power he possesses. Because he, like all three of them knows how to stay focused, he will accomplish everything he sets out to do.
Again, back to the concert video. When the guys were swaggering their way down the stage to sing IDS (in those awesome black outfits), they gave off so much sexiness, it was almost criminal.
But what makes me happiest is the fact that they are carrying themselves with such dignity. That too is sexy as all get out. I don’t know of another situation where three indiviuals have been forced to endure so much indignity, and still manage to conduct themselves beyond reproach. This strength of character is what will be the winning of the race.
Dignity. I like that. Dignity doesn’t mean passivity or even acceptance, but it does show a level of self-possession that is not easy to achieve or maintain.
(Oh! “No Gain” is on right now. Is it tacky to be spazzing over Jaejoong’s composing while Junsu is singing? Speaking of dignity…

I think the Thanksgiving Concerts in Japan were meaningful professionally, but they were still under Avex at that point. Those concerts may have confirmed that they were capable of working as three and allowed them to take the chance with “The Beginning” but they were still being…taken care of at that point. I think the next year was far more significant. After the logistical mess of the N.A. Showcases and the natural disaster that was the Seoul concert in Nov 2010, I think it was the World Tour and Their Rooms that showed them the success in Japan wasn’t a fluke. If all there is only success how can you really be sure how good you are? They needed to stumble a bit. They needed to miss the mark. It was how they handled those misses that really impressed me. Yup, damn sexy, the lot of them.

I don’t follow JYJ closely. My observations tend to be superficial…
Yoochun: slightly different from your views. I think he used to be more self sufficient than self-assured (gained confidence after SKKS, I think). He doesn’t need an audience to be a musician (or an actor). I feel his music is “music-oriented”.
Junsu: as you said, definitely the most confident one professionally. It’s “responsive confidence”. He needs his audience. To me, his music is performance-oriented. As you said in the previous post, he has been trying to be “more” for a long time. At the beginning, I thought he was challenging the uni-dimensional Xiah Junsu people were holding. After watching the Tarantallegra MV and listening to his album, I think he is actually asking (and confident enough to ask) more fundamental questions, like the assumed “internal consistency” (in addition to gender, etc). This is super sexy to me;-).
Jaejoong: To me, he is the most insecure one. I can sense his insecurity and reservation in his singing. If I want to stretch my imagination, it might be partially because he is the most “metaphysical” one. He thinks a lot and has a lot of doubts. After watching some Dr Jin cuts, I realized he is really smart to take the warrior role (and the role in PTB). The two characters are “round” (not flat ones), which allow development and depth. Kyung Tak is a character full of self-struggles and uncertainty. Jaejoong is the perfect person to portray this. (I might be wrong since I am not into k-drama. I didn’t really follow PTB or RTP).

It does. (It really, really does!) I was hoping to get away from the idea that sexiness is gender oriented and look at the characteristics that play to both. I find the same things sexy in both genders. The knowledge of one’s own power, competence, thoughtfulness, self-reliance don’t change with a minor rearrangement of skin. Sex rests in the brain after all.
I agree with almost all your comment about the guys, particularly re: Jaejoong. Yoochun is the only one that I would have a minor quibble with, simply because I think the choices that he made pre-SKKS took a great deal of…maybe it’s bravery I’m looking at. I think finding a firm footing in acting has made a difference, but it’s matter of degree with him. It’s given him a security he hadn’t had before, and that’s let him seem more self-assured.

Not disputing the importance of the concert works following the Thanksgiving concerts. For me what was important about them was watching their faces during and after. The reception in a country they considered their second home. Yes, Avex was still the overseer at this point, but Avex always did showcase more openess than SME.
When I watched them sing “I Have Nothing”, facing each other, chills went up and down my spine. For the most part, male singers – single or group – do not bother touching a song sung by a female. Females on the other hand are not so squimish. But watching and listening to JYJ sing Whitney’s song, and nail it, was the most gratifying moment for me. The message of the song and the delivery, was all that it could be. And for them to send out that message with “W”, showed what they are truly made of.
But the crowning image of their dignity was the performances at a-Nation, knowing about the suspension coming up. This to me showed they could handle anything in life that is thrown to them. This is not an easy task to pull off, but these three young men did that. So, when they had to deal with the newer part of their lives, the foundation had already been laid.
Each and every time they put on a new performance, there is a new side to them. The showcases allowed them to show how they handle adversity with grace. The ‘natural disaster’ of the Seoul concert as you call it…
, simply amazed me. I would have sat in the freezing cold to watch, but to perform under those conditions and perform admirably was just incredible. I don’t know many who would have been able to do that. Here in the States, only a regular season football game is played under those conditions. Notice I said a ‘regular’ season game. Not the Super Bowl. 
Yes, they get tired and can show signs of fatigue. But the one inescapable fact is, all their concert apperances are character building. These are foundations that will stand them in good stead from here on out. They can organize, showcase, build, produce and perform. Only the strong survive.
Yes, competence, confidence are all part of being a total sexy man who knows where he’s going. I don’t doubt for one moment that the three of them will make it to wherever the future leads them. I’m just happy to be able to see it happen.

I think that’s why being able to say that “Elisabeth” was defining for Junsu is so intriguing. We can look at the before and after and say, yes, there was a distinct leap made.

True, because they are such unique talents. Memories are made from the things we see and experience, in all aspects of our lives. I’ve seen so many concerts, I can’t even begin to mention who, when, where. But one thing I always take away from them is a ‘feeling’. Some artists have more going on for them than others. But what I experienced at the Prudential Center in NJ, was so special. I’m still seeing and hearing, after all this time.
When I think of the lucky folks who got a chance to see Elisabeth with Junsu in it, I do have a tinge of envy. It was a special thematic piece and the stamp Junsu put on it, will probably stand for a long time to come. I seriously doubt if he will ever be the same old Junsu again.

What I find most sexy about Chunnie is his attitude.
I absolutely love the way he portrays himself, also his character and the very person that he really is.

Please, before we judge him, try to get to know the person first, I understand we cannot please everybody, but definitely he is not faking kim jae joong, have you even realized that how he can he fake kim jae joong when he knows there is mjjeje account? hey guys! I’m from Philippines, but currently on summer break here in Qatar (where I grew up).
So, I’ve been a loyal site visitor of this site a few months after it started, I remember leaving comments before, but due to my classes, just read the articles and less commenting, and since the Twitter fight, I just really stopped commenting…anyway, it’s good to be back! I’m really glad how much ALL of us have grown–the JYJ members, CJeS company, the fans, and the entire family.

A fan, whom I met at Seoul Jamsil Indoor Stadium on May 20th when a popular group JYJ’s member Kim Junsu held his first solo concert, expressed her concern that “the reality of a competent artist with many talents being boycotted by broadcasting companies is sorrowful. I do not know until when they have to be chained to unfair restrictions and pressures.”
A middle aged female fan who lives in Yangchun-gu, Seoul asked back “is it logical that there is no television stage, which a leader of Hallyu(Korean wave) star can stand on after releasing the solo album?” and she hoped “not only Kim Junsu but JYJ members can share musical communion with the public on television as soon as possible.”
Fans’ resentments toward music programs, which shut their doors to the appearance of JYJ, is getting higher again. This became stronger after Kim Junsu’s concert.
Fans are expressing their sadness that they “cannot see JYJ on music programs although they are one of best singers regarding their abilities and presence in Korea” and opposed to this situation by saying “this (banning JYJ) is a great loss in Korean music industry” on various internet communities.
Kim Junsu honestly confessed the reality and his worry during the press conference for the release of his album: “making the album under the assumption that I cannot be on television was one of the greatest worries (I had). This is an obvious situation which made me enervated.”
Most officials/staffs of entertainment industry have the same view that JYJ being banned on music program, which already became long-term, is abnormal and deformed.
The fact that their music cannot be aired on television, despite the fact that three members have already won various suits including the exclusive contract suspension injunction against ex-company SM Entertainment and the fact that the court has guaranteed their freedom for entertainment activities including appearing on television, proves there is a group of unfair and unjust authority in the broadcasting industry.
Thus we can point out that they (JYJ) became victims of the fight for hegemony which derived from the composition of authority in entertainment industry and broadcast industry.
However, we have to cognize the fact that the channels where their music can be shared have increased and their effects surpassed the effects by media while JYJ has been completely isolated and restricted from the broadcasting industry.
Fans, who love JYJ, have increased all over the world and became more intimate. Members imprinted their presences to the public through various areas including music, drama, musical and etc. and have armed more firmly.
In reality, the music video ‘Tarantallegra,’ the title song of Kim Junsu’s solo album attracted viewers around the world as soon as it has been released and passed 3million views. Also, his album sold more than 100 thousand copies beating Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber in ITunes, Rakuten, Amazone Japan, and etc in Japan. This result is more valuable as he has achieved it without any activity in Japan recently.
Prohibition on JYJ appearing on television is no longer appropriate or persuasive. It is embarrassing because ‘neglecting’ JYJ continuously caused the exposure of unfair/narrow-minded relationship between Korean popular music industry and the broadcast industry to the global music market.
It is compromising that backwardness of Korean pop music industry has been exposed to Hallyu (Korean wave) fans. In one word, it (JYJ being boycotted) is a waste/loss for national power of Hallyu.
Maybe fans’ complaints and appeals toward broadcasting companies, which have high barriers and restrictions against JYJ, might be portrayed undersized. It might seem reckless and portrayed as throwing an egg against the rock. [TN: It is a Korean proverb/idiom which means ‘beating one’s head against a wall’]
However, the broadcasting companies, which truckled to the large authority of entertainment industry, should remember: there are many methods to break the rock/wall, and that disgusting ‘stain,’ even if it is hard to break a wall with eggs, will remain in the memory of the history forever.

what a great report! this injustice towards the boys has been dragging for to long now. I wish reports like this would be made more often and not every few months. I heard that JYJ actually recently won against SM and the court is deciding about compensation right now. Even as a fan i’m not sure about this news, there have been no report. Does anyone knows more about this, with sources?
I heard some fans (korean) says that JYJ can’t appeal publicly because the whole Kpop industry is behind SM. Its not just SM… even companies like JYP and YG are in cahoots with SM… so if the broadcast stations try anything funny, all of their necks are on the chopping boards. Some korean fans are even afraid to speak up on this in fear that this might cause more harm than good for JYJ.
We i-fans can’t do nothing at all. SAD!
We can only say that JYJ is probably one hell of a threat to all of them… so they are all just trying to bury them like how they buried H.O.T post split. They won’t succeed though… not when Cjes earned big bucks because of JYJ. Its a major LOL to the whole Kpop industry, and I am proud of JYJ. Very proud to be a JYJ fa too!. FIGHTING!!
hi ELIZ@ I’m totally agree with you about jj ! in my definition of sexy there will be yuchun first and then junsu ! yuchun is effortlessly sexy ! he always was and always will be ! but junsu , if he doesn’t try to be sexy he always will be cute . so the difference between this two : yuchun was born this way and it is in his behavior . junsu is freakin sexy when he is on stage but off stage he is handsome , gorgeous but so cute to be sexy ! and there is jj , for me he is the softest one ,the pretty one and the shy one ! sometimes i feel like he has no confidence . it is just my opinion but despite all his effort too looks sexy he will remain the pretty , cute , shy and sometimes fragile boy for me ! i’m waiting for your theory about jj
JJ is so much of a hyung now that it hurts me sometimes, the way he tries so hard and all. Everyone probably knows that JJ is the most sensitive and thoughtful one, yet the most emotionally fragile of the all right? So with him bearing the burden of JYJ’s post split, I feel that he has gone through alot… but that is also what makes him really precious.
Junsu on the other hand, is just clueless. To the extend where I find that his hyungs have to take extra care of him. Idk… but I still love him most. The baseless confidence and robustness, the damn attitude… that is what makes him really sexy sometimes… but cute is more appropriate
