In ‘Dr.Jin’, Kim Jaejoong played a Kim Kyungtak who acts to prove his strength while hiding his painful wounds, evoked sympathy.
In Episode 5 of MBC’s weekend drama ‘Dr.Jin’, Kim Kyungtak (Kim Jaejoong) was in fear that Hong Youngrae (Park Minyoung), his fiancée, would lost her heart to the unidentified doctor Jinhyuk (Song Seunghun).
Getting drunk, he confessed to his childhood friend that is also Youngrae’s brother (Jin Yihan), “While other children from noble family saw me as some worm, you and your sister treated me as a friend without hesitation. Even with my childish mind, I was very thankful.”
Actually, in the meantime, the viewers were very curious about the reason of the marriage settlement between Kim Kyungtak and Hong Youngrae. It was revealed that when they were little, Youngrae and Younghui took care of Kyungtak who was always teased because he’s the child of a concubine. Kim Kyungtak can’t help giving his heart to Youngrae.
Kyungtak expressed his deep feelings about Youngrae, “I thought that I was so lucky when Youngrae became my fiancée. I have pined for her affections since we were kids. It was like a dream come true.”
Kim Jaejoong, who successfully expressed a Kyungtak who has to call his father ‘His Excellency’, is captivating the viewers’ heart. He is showing a stable acting even in a historical drama and perfectly expressed a Kim Kyungtak who has many wounds.

UH-OH. I sense BIG heartbreak is just around the corner for Kyung Tak. Of course, for the actor playing the part, this is GREAT news for Jaejoong! Turmoil, drama, and tumultuous emotions are an actors’ meat and drink. Make us WEEP, dear Jaejoong. We know that in real life you have women lining up around the block four times and more to get a moment with you.
I feel that there is more to his character than the romance part … maybe he will have something to do with the equality and non-discrimination thing in ep 2 .
Lucky Song Seung Hun fans they’ll be happy throw the whole drama but us Jaejoong fans will be crying every episode T_T I want a happy ending for him I mean come on the dr will definitely go back to the future and will reunite with Mina and Young Rae will be for Kyung Tak, What do u think? am i right ? or this is just my imagination !!

In the original Japanese drama/manga Dr. Jin stays in Joseon. Btw, I think Young Raes feelings for him are so deep already that she will always love him…even if he should go back to the modern time. And I don’t want KyungTak together with a girl whos heart is forever taken from another man. That would hurt him his whole life. On the other hand…I got the feeling that KyungTak could have a dramatic ending…and this feeling gets stronger with each episode…

Poor Kyung Tak, what he’s afraid of is becoming true. Young Rae has already fallen for Jin Hyuk. Why is everything so unfair to Takie? T__T I can’t help but wonder, does Kyung Tak actually deeply love Young Rae, or is part of it just out of gratitude that she and her brother took care of him since childhood and because she is the only girl he’s grown up knowing? I do not entertain the idea that Young Rae & Jin Jyuk will fall in love, then later he’ll have to go back to the future, she’ll have a heartbreak and turn to Takie and he’ll take her back, just no! Please writer-nim, don’t be cruel to him.
He said he loved her from when they were kids til now. I don’t like young rae at all. Can the writers bring in a mysterious princess and have her win our Kyung Tak’s heart.
I know, I don’t like her either. I watched ep 5 without subtitles so I don’t know what they were talking about, but based on this article, Young Rae has known him since they were kids, grown up with him, and used to take care of him. Then what happened to that care and kindness? From what I’ve seen since ep 1, she doesn’t give a damn about him and only shows irritation toward him. I want Takie to be with the Gisaeng. I like cool-headed and smart girl, rather than those who act first, think later, and shed tears in 5 seconds. >”<
i like your idea. and yes i didn’t see YoungRae has any friendly affection for KyungTak, not even a simple old time sake friendly smile from her. I don’t want KungTak with her in the end too. I hope that KyungTak will use Youngrae’s coldness to become a stronger man with a more stable emotion. When he will encounter hi s biggest heartache in this drama, which is still to come, he can throw his hat, unleash his hair and go mia or fight in war(more takkie in action) then think about his life and open his eyes to the world, and when he return to his land he will be more mature in dealing with his emotion and he will realize that he didn’t love Youngrae after all. or if she show affection for him cause jinhyuk is gone it’s Kyungtak time to ignore her in a gentle way of course to make it more painful.hehe.

Moves me so much. i REJOICE with all my heart and mind each time Jae’s work is praised in media. I get teary-eyed in fact, because I know Jae works so hard to perfect his craft. However he seems (my perception) less appreciated for what he is really worth. Why can’t SK love him as much?
its because he did most of his solo activities in Japan. He has not been doing alot of projects in Korea for them to familiarize themselves with him. Now that more people are seeing him through the dramas he is getting praised for his hard work.

I haven’t started watching the drama yet (waiting until I finish my exams :p) but is she actually his fiancée? As in they’re going to get married? Or are they just using the term in a way to show that he loves her?
after what he did in episode 5, i can’t feel sorry for him. he would have lost her to any man who came by that showed any shred of humanity.

My goodness. When they said that Jaejoong will bring the dramatic side of the drama, I thought he will become the action martial arts expert man. But as the episodes come Jaejoong’s part is not only as the flower boy HE man but as the one who will keep the viewers eyes dripping buckets of tears for his sad fate. I don’t want to be depressed. The good thing I can see is the SK and the international viewers will see him not as an idol but as an actor par excellence. I have full confidence for Jae as a total entertainer but I beg the writers of the drama to please give him a happy ending for this drama even though he is a mere second lead actor.
Jaejoong acting in this drama improves a lot. Happy to know that korean reporter praised his acting skill. In fact he is one who is so poor in the drama that no one around him really care him and love him…at the he hold the responsibilty to destroy the village and reduce the harm to minimum and finally he save Young rae. After the village has been destroyed. He said to .young Rea that from the very beginning the god leave him alone that means he cant feel any love in his whole life so poor my kim kyung tak. I have cried many times this eps5
Jaejoong appear in the screnn almost 20 mintues in ep5 so his role is very important i dont think he is the second lead role. He is ine of the lead role
So sad the character..everytime I read each episode synopsis…it will break my heart…being rejected since child by his father and brother…now he is losing his love to Dr Jin. Can we kill Dr. Jin character now…Let Jae be the centre of this drama..don’t have a heart to watch him sad all the time…KKT Fighting…

From the outside he’s trying hard to be how his dad wants him to be, but from the inside poor sweety disagrees with everything his father says and does. What hurts me to see how his fiance doesn’t return his love and little by little you can see how she is falling for Dr. Jin and he’s trying to be in denial so it won’t hurt him, so sad that he’s in that type of situation with family and the lady he loves!

honestly I have never seen this drama, but looking at it from an explanation of this post I am very interested to follow His acting in a drama, based on the Jaejoong background life of childhood, where he was exiled by his mother for adoption and have been fighting from childhood to prove to those who are not loved him, that they might have been wrong if leave him., praise the Lord gives Kim family affection to him and bring jaejoong standalone, and I think jaejoong is perfect served as Kim Kyungtak, outside
he looks strong and dedicated despite his heart full of sores, may his drama as well as in real life will end up with happy ending
