[TRANS] 120616 JYJ’s Junsu Indonesian Concert is Simply Amazing

June 16, 2012 · JYJ3 Team

Jakarta – JYJ’s Junsu successfully held a concert at JITEC, Mangga Dua Square, Jakarta, Saturday (6/16/2012). He was in Jakarta for the ‘XIA The 1st Asia Tour Concert Tarantallegra’.

The concert was supposed to begin at 7:00PM Western Indonesian Time. But until 8:00PM Western Indonesian Time, Junsu has not yet appeared on stage. The fans then repeatedly chanted his name “Kim Junsu”.

The awaited concert finally started out around 8:40PM Western Indonesia Time. The stage was suddenly filled with lights from fireworks, plus green laser highlights. Junsu was standing on stage with a dark blue suit and immediately sang the song ‘Breath’ and continued with ‘No Gain’.

Both songs were welcomed by the audience with hysterical screams. Especially in the second song, Junsu was dancing with two female dancers who was dressed sexily.

“How are you? I’m Xia. I’m pleased to meet you,” Junsu said in fluent Indonesian language without any ‘cheat sheet’. He also continued to bestow his warm smile. “The next song will make you fall asleep,” Junsu continued, translated by an interpreter. Then ‘Lullaby’ and ‘Intoxication’ were sung.

Junsu sang 17 songs live. Although he was sweating due to non-stop dancing, he looked so exhilarated.

‘Set Me Free’ was next on the playlist. Laser and blue lights were everywhere. The audiences were singing along. After changing his clothes into an all-white suit, he then sang a drama soundtrack from ‘Scent of Woman’ called ‘You are So Beautiful’. Again, the audiences were singing along as well. Festive!

The difference between Junsu’s concert with other Kpop concert is, the audiences were dominated by mature audiences, not teenage schoolgirls. Understandably, Junsu first debuted in 2003 thus his fans were more mature already.

“Are you happy? Happy? Thank you!” Junsu said as he continued laughing (t/n: he also said the sentence in Indonesian language). “Even though I sing here, I can’t believe that I’m standing in Indonesia. I’m so happy to be able to come here for the first time,” he continued.

The audiences hysterically screamed when Junsu said that he would grant 3 wishes. The interpreter then was helping him. Junsu had to do an ‘aegyo’ (t/n: he gave us his angel smile ^^). For a moment he acted cutely then shyly nodded.

The audiences went uncontrollably with the second request. They shouted together “Open your clothes! Open your clothes!” Unfortunately the request was ignored by the interpreter. Junsu ended up just shouting his trademark shout “Bambaya!”

Junsu looked so sweet. He couldn’t stop smiling and laughing, enjoying his performances. The fans firmly united chanting “Saranghae! Saranghae!” (I love you in Korean language).

‘Even Though You Already Know’ and ‘Turn Around and Around’ was then sung. Ocean of red light sticks were swaying back.

‘The Last Dance’ from Junsu’s musical ‘Elizabeth’ was next performed. Of course with a dazzling musical style. The dancers wore masks and black lace robe. The screen behind the stage displaying Big Ben in the middle of full moon.

This segment seemed to show Junsu as a successful musical actor. Next he sang the song ‘I am, I am Music’ from the musical that he was also staring ‘Tears of Heaven’. Junsu looked so engrossed in his performance.

‘Why Don’t You Love Me’ from musical ‘Mozart’ took over the stage. The screen behind displaying image of a castle complete with its chandeliers that adding a melancholy atmosphere. Not to mention Junsu’s vocal quality which is fit and extraordinary. It felt like watching a real musical. Good job, Junsu!

Intro of Tarantallegra! was finally heaved, welcoming with fireworks explosion and fire that burst from the edge of stage. Junsu’s spell was successful, the audiences continued to shout fan-chants. Tarantallegra!

Tired. Junsu who was sweating sat for a few minutes in red sofa that suddenly appeared in front of the stage. He just sat motionless without saying anything. Impatient audiences chanted his name repeatedly “Kim Junsu! Kim Junsu!”.

Junsu stood right in front of the stage. Again fireworks were bursting and lasers were dancing. ‘Fever’, ‘Too Love’, and ‘Mission’ became the next songs. The concert was almost over. Junsu’s dancing was even more energetic and vibrant.

Junsu changed his clothes for about 6 times. At the end, he wore a shirt written ‘XIA The 1st Asia Tour Concert Tarantallegra’ combined with gold pants and calf-length boots. He sat in a high chair and sang ‘I Don’t Like Love’ and ‘The Tree Covered The Dew’.

While he sang, Junsu was taking a plushie given by an audience in the front row. Confetti was scattered like snow. ‘Fallen Leaves’ was closed with clapping from the audiences and Junsu bowed to bid goodbye. “Thank you!” he ended, forming a heart shape with his both hands.

9 years of existence in Korean music world really made Junsu able to prove his quality. Without hydraulic stage or excessive special effects, Junsu’s performances were still incredibly stunning. Fans went out with satisfaction. See you again, Junsu!

I mean, look at the variety in the songs. What an impressive set list. I am amazed about his stamina, I heard people trying to do a dance cover for Tarantallegra, can’t even keep up and need to do several shots. Yet, Junsu not only does the entire song without stopping, he performs back to back dance heavy numbers, while singing live and on key. He is the real deal. He is in excellent shape and incredibly fit. Wow.

Wow! What an amazing range of songs he sang! Lucky audience were treated to his musical numbers too. And haven’t heard him sing live “Too Love” in a long time! What incredible stamina and showmanship he has! A real treat for fans who could make it, that’s for sure. I Don’t Like Love and Tree Covered With Dew are my favorites in his new album apart from the title track. Must’ve been so moving to hear them live.

There was additional VTR that I didn’t see in Seoul/Bangkok fancams or they didn’t record it. The VTR was about Junsu in JYJ tour to his own Asia tour. The background song was I Can Soar.

I don’t know the amount of the ticket selling exactly.. Some said that it was only 2500 fans attended it.. but I could tell that the JITEC was full with fans roaring and screaming.. eventhough the concert was delayed until 2 hours, we really really didn’t regret it!!
Don’t compare him with the other singer, because he had no chance to promote his album or songs freely like them..

But, eventhough he never promoting or having any activity in Indonesia before, he managed to attracted 2500 fans in his first show here.. I have watched 2PM concert before (it was also held in JITEC), but still I love Junsu’s performances 1000 more. *sorry, no offense to 2PM’ fans*

I watched him from the Festival section.. and I’m telling you YOU WON’T REGRET WATCHED KIM JUNSU’s FERFORMANCES.
even some Indonesian’s boyband attended it.. They said that they are his fans.. Seems like Junsu had many fanboy here, in Indonesia.. ^^

        Kekekekeke..

you must go to his concert, Nina.. I’m telling you.. you won’t regret it.. Trust me.. ^^

          June 17, 2012

yes, indeed, i was so happy that many fanboys there…
and i still believe its more than 2,500. i was sitting in the back area (3 lines in the front), so i can see whole area, there are many many empty seats, but i believe its 85%-90% full, so its around 4,000 attendees. and yes, the promotion for this concert arent as many as for, lets say SuJu. i havent even seen any tv promotions. even after the presscon. not even from TopKPop tv show, they seems more often mentioned Mblaq concert than Junsu’s. . and the billboard just put 2 weeks before the concerts. i was worried it would only 70% full. but after i saw the venue n saw so many people, i know its gonna be more than only 70% =)

“The next song will make you fall asleep,” Junsu continued, translated by an interpreter. Then ‘Lullaby’
Don’t say that Junchan. With those overloaded sexy dance, this song isn’t suitable to be a “lullaby”.

just by reading this article…again i feel the emotion take over me once again and make my eyes glassy with tears… really 9 years of waiting to see all of them by looking at Junsu only, can’t hold my tears from falling (and yes when fallen leaves sang at the last performance i was crying like a baby n_n”). what a GREAT performance he gave makes me proud to become family of JYJ…. hope Junsu loves music more and won’t stop in doing so (not to forget with other his brother Jaejong and Yuchuuunn!!!) and i do hope that other fans will get the same chance of seeing him like me. me and most of the audience took around 30 minutes (and yes still many fans just standing in front of the stage or sit down in groups) after the show ended to walk from festival area went back home (cause it feels like we’re dreaming of this). BIG hug to you all…and sorry for the long reply hehe

cant believe i was there last night. i wasnt a crazily fanatic fan ever since i was young, so i rarely thought of watching any concerts from my fave singers before, even when i watched his, its because my nieces wanted to go, and i promised their parents i’ll go with them. but i will never never never regretted it.

he really is a true performer. he sang n dance all songs live. even we fans felt tired n a sore throat after yelling so much, but he sang and dance so powerfully over all the songs. the concert indeed felt so fast. i was enjoying every sec in it. and when he sang Last Dance, I am Music (the writer made mistake, its from Mozart, not TOH) and Why Cant You Love Me. i especially waited for hi Mozart performances, since 2 of the songs are my fave songs from his musical. and i was almost in tears when he sang Why Cant You Love Me (cant really cried since i was with my nieces n they will tease me forever if i did, lol).

the concert was way out of this world. and i have to say i am suprised to see that a new Indonesia Promotour who just have this concert as their 1st project able to do such a great job. aside from almost 2 hours delay, their hardwork was amazing. the lighting, lasers effects, the LCD background, the sound system were so AMAZING!! its so cool!! esp the sound system. its so smooth with no disturbance at all, the volume is just right and didnt make our ears hurt.

Gosh, last time was amazing. seeing him singing dancing after all the fancams n Taran MV werent do any justice, this man trully a great performer. his voice never faltered, out of range, or even lost its quality. it was so smooth from the very beginning. if i wasnt in the concert of didnt know him, i would think it was a recording played in the background while he was just danced. but i know better n this just make me respect n amazed of him. i cant even counted how many times me n people around me (even a not really fan like one of my niece) keep saying that ‘crazy!!! his voice is just amazing’. she even keep saying that he inded sang live since we can hear his breath sound after he finished a dance song (but continue to dance powerfully in the next songs). i cant count how many times i almost closed my eyes to emerged in his beautiful voice, before i cacthed myself n stopmyself, since i didnt want to miss anything. and he indeed look really happy dancing n singing there. his gaze, happy smiles, teased n sexy smiles… gosh this man really born to sing n dance, he made it looked so easy, just like breathing..

i was feeling a bit regretful since i didnt take any pics of fancams. but from the very beginning i decided to just enjoy myself watching the entire concert. fancams will soon appear in youtube, lol..

wow, this almost like a fanacc, lol.. over all i agree with the writer, Junsu Indonesian Concert is simply AMAZING!!!

There were some “masters” and fans with good seats and skill to hiding huge cam last night, i believe fancams will be flooding shortly for the whole concert :) but, yeah, no topless!su :P but i was serious about the ahjummas,
their presence really noticeable last night XD

I just read a very nice fanacc around, while my own fanacc is reserved for myself because i kept went on and on mentioning beautiful, magical, and surreal. lol. I still cant believe it

He did do the ‘sexy test’ that the host and interpreter requested… like shaking and rocking his hips. O.O
