Doesn’t “youngwoong” mean hero in Korean? I thought it did. He doesn’t use that name anymore – none of them use their old SM given names anymore (although I think “Micky” was Yuchun’s American name growing up, but he doesn’t use it anymore – maybe SM has the rights to those names, I don’t know for sure. Does anyone know?.

Sm doesnt not own those names. The reason why they do not use it because they dont want to use their old names no more because those names are for when they are in TVXQ. Junsu used Xia because he wanted some thing new.

No, SM does own them…I think. That’s why Xiah’s name in the album changed to “Xia”. People were asking him in his solo concert press conference, “Why do you still choose the stage name Xiah?” and he said, “The situation changed, not me.” (So he took out only the “H”) I don’t know if it’s true (SM holding the rights to Xiah), but it’s what I’ve heard regarding “XIA”.
