MBC’s “Dr. Jin,” starring Song Seung Heon, Park Min Young, Lee Beom Soo, andJYJ’s Kim Jae Joong, was granted a two-episode extension. A representative of the production team explained, “We have decided on extending the series by two episodes. We felt the originally scheduled 20 episodes were not enough to tell the entire story.” As such, “Dr. Jin” will finish its broadcast early August, pushing back Joo Ji Hoon and T-ara’s Eunjung’s “Five Fingers.”
Following the news of the extension, the cast of “Dr. Jin” showed their support. Lee Bum Soo stated, “I wish it was scheduled for forty episodes not twenty. It’s too short for the viewers to follow the story’s big picture.” Song Seung Heon revealed, “20 episodes are not enough to fully show what sageuks [historical dramas] have to offer.”
Netizens comments regarding the decision varied. Some expressed their delight at the news, commenting, “Yay, more of Song Seung Heon” and “Thank you for the extension.” Others disapproved, citing it as a way for the drama to reach the number one spot in ratings once its competitor, SBS’s “A Gentleman’s Dignity,” makes its exit.
But I worry about JJ’s schedule for JYJ activities.

it’s true that it’s really short for sageuk drama but i hope Jae can get some rest….. C-Jes staff please take care of our Jae please, give him more meal too, he needed it since Jae must finishing jackal too also if i am not mistaken, JYJ also gonna released their second international album on this half year too. i guess we must send some vitamins or anything like that to him more for help him to manage his energy
I hope this will be a good thing. Most of the time when dramas are extended, it ends up dragging the last 4 episodes T___T And I hope Jaejoong gets plenty of rest!
For the producer or writer, perhaps they want to tell a more
complete story, as viewers, hopefully two additional episodes will be happier
yet for overseas markets looking for faster ” Rhythm ” , surely edit Dr. Jin extensively ,

coz i’ve to extend my self-imposed agony- not to watch TSDJ until it has completed its airing

I’m so glad about the extension; this story is too complex and involved to rush a quick ending. The writers have done an excellent job thus far and i’m sure they will go on doing so. Jae wanted this challenge and by by all appearances has risen quite favorably to the task at hand. I will continue my ‘watchful’ support
I thought Dr. Jin was initially announced to have 24 episodes, huhm? Well, if the production crew deem it fit, then so be it. I want a complete and satisfying story rather than some abrupt and forced ending. I only hope 2 extra episodes will not cramp Jaejoong’s schedules too much. He must be very exhausted right now.

Ah yes with the butthurt comment, they could just not believe how well Jaejoong has delivered as Kyung Tak. You can just imagine how many articles in Korean online news every each episode talking positively about Kyung Tak and the actor himself Kim Jaejoong. Let’s just take them as some dusts in the wind and let’s continue to enjoy our weekend BF.
IKR? Pay them no heed because they’re just in denial. I’ve visited to some sites that have discussions about Dr. Jin and what I’ve seen is most people complain about the main couple, the plot, or directing/editing, and many think that Kyung Tak, Ha Eung, Young Hwi, Choon Hong are those who save the drama. I don’t mind if someone likes or dislikes Kyung Tak as a character, surely people are discussing about him. But to say Jaejoong can’t act? Puh-lease, give him a break!
Ah, that comment that Jae can’t act and blah, blah …. she just shows her bitterness and ignorance, she’s such a big shame to the person she’s promoting.
Jaejoong can act period. He portrays Kim Kyung Tak’s character so well that people got interested on how he will turn out in the upcoming episodes. I do understand why Jae accepted this role because KKT is one of the memorable characters in Dr. Jin.
I’m enjoying this drama and it’s making my every week moves faster, always looking for the weekend.
I’ll be happy even if it reaches 50 episodes as long as the writer gives a good plot for Takkie, Jae is the master of himself, so if he wants to do more episodes, other schedules can be adjusted.

In as much as I’m looking forward for the weekend to watch the development of Kyung Tak’s character, I think 22 episodes are enough. I just hope that the plot will be more interesting and it will have a great ending.
But as Jae tweeted, I’m very excited about this upcoming episode.

Yay !!! more of Young Rae’s I love you Dr more than my mother and my own life ..& Jin Hyuk’s I think I love you because you look like someone I may have loved I don’t know I’m busy tampering with history .
And here I thought it would be over by the end of this month and could count on starting my marathon then. I can’t imagine why they feel the need to extend it. It’s not like it’s a great script or anything. What can they possibly add to it to try and make it better?
i agree that they need an extension because even at episode 14 so far… there are soo many story lines, and there havent been much clarity to it…… i mean even far out in this series jin doesnt even know if he wants to go home yet.. and young rae keeps on running away……. its dragging.. and they are throwing in confusing plots that will need some time to clear up…. i hope with this extension they will execute each plot out very well so that viewers will not only learn about about the medical portion of the series, and history, but they will understand the whole drama.. and not have a lame ending that will tick a lot of people off…. lol
i want to see jj and minyoung play as a couple they really make a cute couple….ssh is too old for her wish kyung tak and young rae end up together
