This is indeed painful but necessary because I believe that KKT has been wasted as a character. Pining over YoungRae…..it is just…urgh…they have all the potential in this character and they don’t take any chances with it. He will certainly be devastated but he will then move on and truly grow. His father and YoungRae are simply two sides of the same coin. BTW, will the asshat step-brother ever come back? He was such a jerk but he was comical because he never succeeded in his lame-brain schemes.

That is true but his jealousy stems from the hatred and it is there because he is simply an inferior person and he can’t stand the fact that an illegitimate son is better than he’ll ever be. He is just ridiculous but in that pitiful, amusing kind of way.
Jaejoong character always get rejected by the girl his love but i never hate them not just like i hate young rae now, the previw already bloked, why young rae begging kyung tak again?, did kyung tak kicked out from his home by his father? what kyung tak told to young rae/
I think the writer and the director grow fond of Jaejoong’s ability in drawing out emotions. They’re giving him a script/scenes that can extract his ability to portray angst , sadness and desperation, and can draw audience sympathy for him (or is it just from Jaejoong’s fans?) . I’m not taking attention at all to what some call “WTF” moments or script especially the love angle of the main couple, I’m more interested to the Kyung Tak/Young Hwi character development and their role in the politics struggle and the course of history.
my thoughts exactly the same .. maybe the original plan was not to put too many scene to kkt character , settling him in just minor supporting roles but the actor behind kkt was beyond their expectation that draws up many audiences and are curious for his honest and flawless act ,thats why he was given such broader role and find it a good piece to create such unpredictable drama and which is good since they finally separates the jap version jin to this korean version . good job to the crew.
i hope in the future mr kjj will be given the chance to have a drama of his own with him as a leading role .say for instance the one he projected as poeitic killer in elle magazine docu for a change ..
