K-Pop idol group JYJ’s member Kim Jaejoong continues to impress viewers with his significantly matured acting skills that are clearly apparent in his role on the MBC weekend drama “Time Slip Dr. Jin”
The 16th episode of “Time Slip Dr. Jin” that aired on July 15 featured Kim Kyung Tak (Kim Jaejoong) shooting Lee Ha Eung (Lee Bum Soo) in an attempt to impress his father. However, unlike the way he had things planned out in his head all of his efforts go down the drain and gets entangled in a complicated situation. In the midst of all the drama, Kim Kyung Tak’s own father deserts him when his son needs him the most.
During the episode, Kim Kyung Tak runs away after shooting Lee Ha Eung but runs into Hong Young Hwee (Jin Yi Han) and begins fighting him. Kim Kyung Tak eventually gets caught by Joo Pal (Lee Won Jong) and gets tortured to reveal all the information he knows.
Regardless of the pain, Kim Kyung Tak protects his father Kim Byung Hee (Kim Eung Soo) and refuses to say a word. Kim Kyung Tak somehow escapes but falls into a state of panic after looking back on his unfortunate fate and plans to take his own life.
Just when he is about to end his life, Kim Kyung Tak sees Hong Young Rae (Park Min Young) and begins to cry, realizing he can’t bear to even think about leaving Hong Young Rae.
Kim Jaejoong was highly praised for his acting during this episode. Kim Jaejoong brought tears to the audience when his character Kim Kyung Tak was being tortured, covered in blood and tears.

my heart broke so many times these last two episodes…Jaejoong has become such a great actor…always giving all of him to improve and become better everyday

At this scene, I’m thanking YR for at least making Ktak hold on to the last straw, but unfortunately he came back to his father kneeling for forgiveness and begging to kill him, and burst to tears when he finally permitted to call “Father” . I hope he would realize that the privilege to say “Father” will bring him to the ultimate hell gate. But he has nowhere to go, the rebels will tear him apart, his family will send him to hell, will Young Hwi be able to help him in the end? … what a tragic plight!
and I salute Kim Jaejoong for his “shocking” performance, but I was not shocked actually, I already knew from the start that he can deliver.
when you read it out loud it sounds like a soap opera, but regardless I really enjoyed the performance
Can some one tell me how thing go between kyung tak and young rea. are they together or not. last episod they supposed to get married right? Aishhh I‘m dying to know. just hope happy ending for uri jaejoongi
OMG! Will I be able to SURVIVE Ep. 16??? This sounds like a Joongie tour de force of awesomeness! How exciting! And thrilling too to read all of the amazing reviews the episode is getting. He’s GETTING it, he’s really GETTING acting, faster than anyone realized he would. Not only is he HIM, Kim Jaejoong, million selling Idol and bona fide universal chick magnet, but he’s really GOOD in the role! This is just great. Oh happy day. Lee Soo Man is probably off in a dark corner somewhere, chewing on razor blades and kicking his poodle.

Now every week my eyes swollen after watching kyungtak…i hope i have enough tears till ep 22 and please let it be happy tears that kyungtak finally find peace with himself and true happiness.

I was taken aback when Kyung Tak came back to his father, begging him to just kill him and breaking down emotionally when he was allowed to call him “father” for the first time. Why would he keep offering himself to be used? But I can sympathize with him for he has no where to go and no one to come to now. Naturally he would go back to the one who gave him shelter and raised him up after his mother passed away. It’s more difficult for him to side with Haeung because he would have to face Young Rae & Young Hwi who have both betrayed him and broken his heart mercilessly, also Jin Hyuk his rival whom he didn’t even like to begin with. Anyway, after Dr. Jin I hope no one will say Jaejoong’s acting is “shocking” again when he decides to tackle the next drama. He’s evolving into a real good actor and one should recognize him as such.
This was such a heartbreaking and emotional epi to watch; Kyung Tak covered in blood after being beaten, then crawling on the ground just to receive that miserable crumb ‘Father’.
Here are my thoughts on the recent events, I don’t think Youngrae was the reason he didn’t go through with suicide. I believe he realized that he failed the mission, & if he was to die it should be on his father hands which will in a way be easier for him. His father is the only relationship that he has now, no matter how one sided & dysfunctional it is, it’s the only thing he has. Although he does realize that his father has been & will continue to use him, he is eager to please him to prove himself. He also understands politics better than YoungHwi who has now pledged his full loyalty to the prince, KT knows that both of himself & Younghiw are tools that will be used to strike each other in the coming future. As for Youngrae, I believe he already realised that he has been waiting for nothing. Only by the end of the series, & once Mina leaves Youngrae & she gets back to her old self & realize that she loved him all along will he accepts her back if the writers don’t grant him a tragic end.
His father has to die in the upcoming episodes so that fate and history can be corrected, His evil brother will rise to become the lead Kim figure, & I think that is the time KT will face the hardest test so far, as his brother is the character that hates KT the most.

What? That wasn’t what happened. Did this person actually watch the episode cause I’m confused. Anyways it seems we agree on the events of episode 16. LOVED how he also told YoungHwi off for being a naive idiot. For all his strategics he seems very innocuous of people’s hidden motives. HaEung certainly isn’t what he seems.

I think KT didn’t want to die in front of YR as he cannot bear to see her sad. He loves her too much. He still loves her very much. Haiz, Kyungtakie, what a tragic character. I was really, really impressed with Jaejoong’s acting for the past 2 episodes, especially the way he showed his emotional conflict and breaking down when KBH allowed him to call him ‘father’. I was moved to tears.
He didn’t decide to commit suicide later because of Youngrae. even though she spoke to him he just thanked her for talking him out of it because the king had died and then you shouldn’t commit suicide. Though i guess that he wanted to save his life for his father to take it instead.
