JYJ member Junsu who has embarked on his solo career will write a new K-pop history of his own. Wrapping up his Asia tour which made stops in Thailand, Indonesia, Taiwan and China, he is now preparing for another tour, this time in North and South America and Europe.
His first solo album “Tarantalegra” dominated international music charts, including Germany’s Asia music chart, Chile’s Etc…TV pop chart and Japan’s iTunes music chart. It also ranked on Billboard’s top 10 world album along with its music video entering at No.1 on a Chinese weekly music video chart.
Junsu planned out a world tour from the early stage of his solo career as he had limited access to his fans with TV. So he consulted able promoters who were in charge of previous JYJ world tour, and planned out one for himself this time that would make two to three stops in the each continent.
Junsu is currently working on repackaging his first solo album in English for the upcoming world tour. World-renowned producer Bruce ‘Automatic’ Vanderveer who had collaborated with American singer Christina Aguilera and music video director Marc Klasfeld who worked with Beyonce, Eminem and Jay-Z participate in the repackaging process for Junsu’s album and the music video.
As the news of Kim Junsu’s world tour spread out, his fans across the country take part in a campaign, wishing his tour made a stop in their nations. Fans in Peru made a collection of photos in which every single one of them was holding Junsu’s album and poster. His Mexican fans created a 5-minute video, entitled “Mexico is always waiting for you JYJ” on Youtube. Fans around Europe and South America posted messages online wishing for his visit to their countries.
A pop-culture critic in Korea said Kim Junsu was the very first solo musician launching a “world” tour, and his challenge would be worth looking at, because his overseas success could open a whole new world for solo artists, who did not relatively have much opportunities in the overseas music market, compared to idol groups.
Kim Junsu’s repackage to his first solo album will be released in the middle of August, and he will kick off his highly-anticipated world tour in the end of this August.

” JYJ member Junsu who has embarked on his solo career will write a new K-pop history ” I’m soooo proud of him <3<3<3 :-$:-$ XDXD
I’m glad Junsu is making it this far on his own, but then this is Kim Junsu, 1/3 of JYJ, that we’re talking about. Yeah, Junsu’s oversea success may open a new door for other solo artists, just like JYJ have pioneered in a lot of things, so Korean entertainment industry, besides taking advantage of my boys’ popularity and success, what have you done for them? >__>
absolutely AGREE.
JYJ, seems like mario racing cars, behind them are ppl keep on throwing turtle …bomb…banana skin to them dear.

Ok Mr. Pop-culture critic, please keep in mind, the only solo artists who are going to be able to benefit from this largesse, are those who have kick-ass talent like Junsu has. Anything less, just won’t work. Trust me.
Also, it would be nice if everyone didn’t try and ride on JYJ members’ coattails since JYJ is being treated like they are pariahs. Thank you.
ROCK IT JUNSU!
Go get ‘em Xia! Whose music are you gonna listen to!
THIS–> “Also, it would be nice if everyone didn’t try and ride on JYJ members’ coattails since JYJ is being treated like they are pariahs.”
I am so sick of all these critics/journalists, dubes to keep using k-pop and k-wave, or whatever, they call these days and to take advantage of our boys success that was done through hard work, sweat, while standing against unbearable challenges. I am sick of celebrities, and k-shows dropping JYJ’s names so nonchalantly in their shows, while none of these cowards say anything about the injustice that these young/humble/respectful young men suffer.
If I hear one more of these “specialists” talking like that I will stuff their faces lard
Look at me being all mad.
Someone, have mercy on me, and give me an edit button…I especially need one when I get all boiling with madness
You too huh? Wanna join Typos ‘R US? Just say the word.
i really miss him
yup.me too^_^
Yes, Xia, get them!
I wonder if the 3 have been working on their JYJ joint concert for this year? (I’m worried that their individual successes will eventually lead to fewer joint ventures.)
Please do keep up the annual JYJ concerts!!!
Even in jakarta concert the ticket writes Kim Junsu member of JYJ … Yup .. I’m agree .. He is just 1/3 of JYJ … And he already made a history … So how great will be if the 1/3 + 1/3 + 1/3 = JYJ comeback then??? Please TELL ME !!!!!
I have so much respect for what Junsu is doing. It’s hard enough to go solo for the first time but to do it knowing that you won’t get promoted in your own country and then embarking on a world tour alone… Junsu really is amazingly gutsy. There are not a lot of idols out there that could do what he’s doing.
@Mongji I totally agree with what you are saying. I too have so much respect and is so proud of Junsu for being so gutsy to pursue his dreams. And to do it without being able to promote in his own country. I am so happy for him on all the success he has had. You go Junsu you get em!!!!!!!!!
When there are good reviews abt the boys,I can’t help myself to wonder if the writers were those whom SoMEone missed out in the company payment-list.
As much as I’m happy with this news, it frustrateS me that it doesn’ make the slightest change to what the boys are experiencing.
Even so, I’m proud of you, Junsu my baby…
I like any news articles that praise JYJ members. But I have to say that this article makes me laugh. Have they forgotten that this solo artist is a member of an “idol” group. Open the door for other solo artists? Who would be interested if it wasn’t JYJ’s Junsu?
I think Junsu fully realizes that in order for him to get his music out there and have some kind of career aside from Musicals and JYJ, that he may have to step out into the unknown; but he has the confidence and the talent to back it up. Not many other ‘idols’ could walk the path that Junsu and the rest of JYJ are on. So proud of Junsu
Junsu ! congratulation on your solo career ! And work with top crews indeed greatest honor being an artist.
My sincere thoughts, even as a recognized solo performer, pls remember to stay attached as JYJ,
same thoughts to Jaejoong and Yoochun, stay close & portray to the world JYJ is talent trio in MUSIC + ACTING origin.
BALANCE your career, dual lines development, household base fandom needs more time and dramas to build up.
Especially in ASIAN market dear! In half to 1 year from now, Yoochun & Jaejoong influential + bargaining power in Asia
will be out of imagination dear.
Most advertisers / producers ( consequential revenue sources) very concern artists’ influential power, I dun’ want to see growing gap btw JYJ members. ( sorry Musical drama is for own interest, ambition only dear, hard to offer $ as commercial market can offer. )
80:20, my sincere thought for you always, Junsu ,
Happy weekend!
*PROUD OF JUNSU*

I am so proud! Best of luck to our Junsu! Fighting!
AHHHH I can’t wait! Proud of Junsu. Though I am a bit worried. I’ve been saving money for the next JYJ World Tour, but if I spend it to go see Junsu and then suddenly JYJ’s is right after it. I won’t have the money to go anymore……ahhh, what to do…..this sux horribly. T-T
This ! I have a cruel dilemma but… I probably (hum, in fact I am almost sure
) go see Junsu AND JYJ lol ! (if they come near my country of course ^^)
I really miss them so I need to go <3
I think the success of Junsu solo career benefits him personally and JYJ. I think Yoochun said something like he was impressed and proud of Junsu album. That while Jae and Yoochun were doing thier solo acting thing , Junsu was keeping JYJ in the music spot light. He did not use those exact words, I do not think, but that is the gist of what I remember. Because Junsu is still apart of JYJ people still attach him to them and mention JYJ when they refer to Junsu. The way I see it Junsu is living out his solo dreams like he
always wanted to but still is promoting/keeping JYJ in the music spot light. This will also apply to when Jae and Yoochun does thier solo ablum.

So proud of how far our boys have come despite what they’ve been up against, not only in the music world but in the acting world as well. I am so excited Junsu is coming to the US!!! Already preparing my families and friends to be ready to go with me lol. Made up my mind long ago that I will go to at least one concert each time they come and that goes for solo activities. GO XIA!!! SHOW THEM WHAT YOU AND YOUR JYJ BROS ARE MADE OF!!!
