Kim Junsu’s upcoming concert tour dates and venues in the Americas have been confirmed!
Kim Junsu will kick off his world tour on August 30 at New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom where JYJ also held its showcase in back in 2010. The venue has also been used in the past by famous musicians such as P.Diddy, Nicki Minaj, Nas and others.
Kim Junsu will then hold a concert at L.A.’s Hollywood Palladium on September 2 before moving on to Mexico City’s Blackberry Auditorium on September 6, Brazil’s Sao Paolo’s Espacio Victory on September 8 and capping things off at Chile’s Santiago’s Teatro Caupolica on September 10.
A staff on the South American concert preparations shared, “Kim Junsu’s world tour news is already causing a fervor among fans here. Though we know economically or profit-wise the South America tour is not as appealing, we believe after the concerts, a positive effect will result in the Americas according to C-Jes’ strategy.”
A C-Jes representative added, “The world tour is part of our limitless challenges. Even for America’s pop singers, holding a tour in North and South America is not an easy task. We will hold a successful concert and we have confidence in our infrastructure and system.”
Kim Junsu is finishing up work on his upcoming repackaged album including the English language single and music video which was produced and shot in LA. He will finish his Asia tour in Hong Kong on August 7 before embarking on his world tour.

JYJ‘s Junsu has confirmed a total of five cities for his world tour in North and South America!
Starting August 30th, the tour will open up at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York, a venue previously visited by popular artists like Puff Daddy, Nicki Minaj, and Nas. JYJ also held their showcase here in 2010.
On September 2nd, he’ll be at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles where the likes of Jay-Z andJustin Bieber performed at in the past.
The tour will continue down to South America at the Blackberry Auditorium in Mexico City on September 6th, followed by Espaço Victory in Sao Paulo, Brazil on the 8th, and finally Teatro Caupolican in Santiago, Chile on the 10th.
Representatives of his concert hosts stated, “South American fans are ecstatic over news of Junsu’s South American tour. Junsu’s concerts have become a back to back hit. Realistically, we know that South American tours aren’t affective income-wise, but we feel that this tour will have a positive effect through C-JeS Entertainment‘s promotional tactics.”
Junsu expressed, “I recently stayed in the States where I worked on my single album and music video. I’m really satisfied with the results of it, and am filled with excitement and anticipation over meeting my fans all over the world once again.”
His Asia tour will finish up in Hong Kong on September 7th.

Yes, it’s just over the hill. I have to say this seems more doable than the venue JYJ played at last time they were here. I hate driving that far downtown. But Hollywood is my old stomping ground so that’s easy.

Lilibaiyu, I’m seriously considering it. I think it might be fun to do and even though I could drive home that night, a 2 1/2 hour drive after after the concert would be a huge letdown. Do you have any suggestions as to where? I was looking up hotels in the area and if I’m going to splurge, it’s not going to be a Motel 8 or anything along those lines! In fact, I’m debating about spending either Saturday or Sunday in the area and checking it out since I’ve never done that before. You have plans?
It’d be a good excuse don’t you think? Oh, and I was serious about picking you up and doing the driving or what will work for you. I find carpooling in LA is much easier.

Sorry, I don’t know how to make it a link. This is where JYJ came in 2010. The dates aren’t up yet for Junsu. I’m going to keep checking. I drove to NJ and got a train into NY. Parking there would be crazy. I believe the train is w/in 4 blocks or so of the venue.

What! I said Chile love Junsu!! I just came to that conclusion on my own based on the reaction of the fans and the many Junsu things they held up at the concert when JYJ went to Chile. To me he got an awesome loved reaction from the fans. The fans in Chile were amazing!!! I still look at and love the videos from their performance there. So I think Junsu felt their love and wanted to go back so he include them one of his tour stops.
It’s not saying they won’t do well. The issue is cost of going that far. The expenses add up the farther you have to travel, especially with a group. So, when they make an investment to go to SA, especially Chile, they go knowing it will not be as profitable as closer locations.
They are going back because of how well they were treated by the promoter and the fans. Simply love.
Looking forward sooooooo much for his concerts in Europe. I only hope his management chooses places for concerts big enough for all his fans

Yes, CHILEAN FANS are truly fantastic… I was totally amazed at the MASSIVE LOVE you guys showed JYJ during the concert… I COULD FEEL THE ENERGY as I watched the fancams! I also saw the way Junsu looked at the audience in a few of the fancams and he was totally feeding off the energy of Chilean fans that night! You guys pulled a performance out of him that was simply electrifying! I KNOW he can’t wait to get back to Chile with his XIA- Tarantellegra concert…. what he has in store for you and what Chile fans have in store for him in terms of your response will be like a nuclear explosion when the two meet! HAVE FUN!
