It is to me too, although maybe for different reasons. A couple of weeks ago, when he first mentioned doing it, Jaejoong tweeted back, “No no no…deactivate? No no no…” Keep in mind, this is LEADER-SSHI talking. Strictly relative to the group JYJ and their great dependence on social networking as a main strategy in their continued survival, this is not a good move. Chunnie did it anyway.
I just keep having this terrible feeling that he is distancing himself from his life with JYJ. I keep waiting to hear about new music, new songs, that Chunnie has been working in his amazing home studio. We hear nothing. We see photos of him camping and on his yacht. He’s doing the solo fanmeetings soon, but to promote as…. what? JYJ or Yuchun as an actor? No doubt about it, his popularity has sky-rocketed because of his acting. He is by far the most popular member of JYJ, also most likely the richest. The members have just received some very very bad news about the status of their lawsuit. The end is nowhere in sight again.
When I add all of this up in my head…. I don’t like what I am thinking. What does everybody else think?

Yoochun doesn’t tweet a lot anyways so it not a very big loss to the fandom. There was no facts supporting him reading his tweets either. And if he did read them, reading ackgae tweets and anti-fans tweets was/is probably a nuisance to him.
I don’t understand why a celebrity can’t keep to themselves? A celebrity does not need to always connect with their fans in order to be successful. For example, Jang Dong Gun (I hope I spelled his name right), keeps his private life ‘private’ and is thus to a large extent without scandals. Look at where that man is now! Similarly, Lee Min Ho does not have a twitter as so it is not a hindrance to his career, and he is also extremely popular. There are many people in this world who don’t like being the center of attention, or don’t find it necessary to be addicted to societies social conventions….this does not mean these people are weird. Yoochun, since before always even had the least amount of friends in DBSK because he didn’t like to socialize.
But, this does not mean that those who do use social conventions should be seen in a negative light. It just comes down to the fact that some people enjoy it and some don’t.
Maybe for example, Yoochun thought he was wasting a lot of time or sleep by reading all his fans tweets and he wanted to distance himself from that addiction of the ‘internet’.
I don’t think any of them will leave JYJ. Maybe they will be less active as JYJ, but none of them will leave. Only for the reason that they worked too hard to establish that name. And I do believe Yoochun composes music. Actually, for all three of them, the vast majority of music they compose they never speak about and it never makes it onto their albums.

It’s possible that we haven’t heard anything simply because he is waiting for the other two to finish up their solo activities so they can release a new album^^

JYJ gained and maintain many, MANY fans through their twitters. Deactivating one of them is probably not the best move. BUT having said that, we also know that Yoochun is one who is often a high target for sasaeng fans, and has been for a long time. I, of course, do not know if that’s why he deleted his twitter, but that is one of the ideas I’ve seen floating around the internet. It’s possible he just wants to take a break from all that. Or maybe not. Frankly, I’m sure there are a plethora of possible reasons why he deleted it. Let’s not give up hope though! There is always the possibility of Yoochun creating a new account in the future, and as of now, Junsu and Jaejoong’s accounts are still active! Let’s be happy and thankful for that! ^__^

I was also surprised, though, that he deleted it, even after Jaejoong said no. But then, I was recently considering deleting my facebook, and one of my friends also said “no no no!” And while I still have not deleted it, I would not necessarily keep it JUST because of that friend’s words. Maybe Jae didn’t want him to delete it, but that doesn’t mean Yoochun has to listen to Jaejoong, even if he is the leader. Ya know?

Hi – Yes, I do see what you are saying, but I really don’t think you can compare JDG’s or LMH’s free reign, all access pass in pursuing their careers with Yuchun’s, where as a member of JYJ, he is hamstrung, interfered with and blocked at every turn trying to have any semblance of a normal entertainment career.
JYJ have seized on social networking themselves and it has proved to be an absolute godsend to them. This is not an “optional, and only if you feel like it” component of their success in connecting with their fans, it’s pretty much been a necessity, prompted by their banning from other forms of mass communication. This is why I took quite seriously Jaejoong’s above quoted tweet to Yuchun, Jaejoong being the leader of JYJ. He didn’t seem to like the idea of Yuchun going away either.
But as I said, for me it’s more of an eerie kind of uncomfortable nagging at the back of my mind that all of these situations seem to be pointing towards something not good for JYJ. Maybe I’ll be wrong and this will be ANOTHER one of those times when I’ll be glad to have been wrong.

Regarding Jaejoongs tweet to him about the twitter account, here again I never thought of him saying this as leader, but as friend. I’m not surprised, disappointed or any of the other sad feelings that something like this seems to bring up. Yoochun is very protective of his personal life and I think he started to find twitter to a bit of an intrusion. I’m pleased that he made the decision to make a clean break, it will be one less thing to bring stress to his life. And I won’t be surprised if the other two (esp Jaejoong) give us more Chunnie updates to make up for it.

My theory and suspicion is that Chunnie is going to go solo–leaving JYJ to pursue acting or singing, or both. I always got the feeling that Junsu and Jaejoong were very close, and maybe Chunnie was beginning to feel like a third wheel. I might be wrong, but that’s what I’ve been feeling all along.

First of all, I do not believe for a second that Yoochun is leaving JYJ. I really do not see at all where you are coming from with Junsu and Jaejoong being close and Yoochun feeling like a third wheel.

i have to say again that jyj fandom is probably the luckiest fandom ever. all of them are talented. all of them are active in their individual activities. all of them are getting fair share of exposure and probably their incomes gap aren’t that big. but first and foremost, all of them are able to do what they enjoy. they might not be exposed too much, but we know they’re doing way better than other idols there. and hey, we even got ourself our public enemy: sm and avex.
with all those, i still don’t get why, out of fandoms i’ve joined, jyj fandom has too much internal conflicts between fans. too much tense feeling between each member fans, too much doubt to other members. how you guys easily interpret one move as something suspicious is something i still can’t understand, when there’re many options of being positive. sure we can speak up our opinion, but remember that an opinion without much thought could provoke more distrusts in fandom. you might just want to vent out your frustration, but while i’m trying to be positive, reading your comment made me thought about it for a while.
i have several scenarios in my head when junsu went solo or when jaejoong and yoochun went for more acting gigs, but i think sometimes it’s better to keep my opinion to myself. i hope everyone can at least be more positive and considerate while sharing their opinion. cheers.

Buy why? Why keep your opinions to yourself and only post the carefully edited positive ones? Isn’t the whole wonderful, unique and rare advantage of posting here on JYJ3 that we can share our opinions here, we can discuss, debate and learn different points of view? JYJ3 is the only JYJ site that I know of where we can do that. The only one. With most K-Pop oriented sites, only the most simple and innocuous of one or two line posts escape immediate flaming and foul language. There can be no discussion on the Allkpops and Seoulbeats because if you raise an alternative viewpoint you’re told to go to Hell, You Suck! or something of the like. Only on JYJ3 can we freely discuss things. If you are suggesting self-editing all less than glowingly positive sentiments and Happy Talk then that pretty much closes off the ONE opportunity international fans have for meeting, getting to know each other and sharing our thoughts on this fascinating group JYJ.
PLEASE tell me that we are NOT now going to move towards just being another clone of the “I love Junsu!” “Jaejoong’s so hot!” “Micky, will you marry me??” sites! There are already LOTS of those out there. JYJ3 is the only one that allows and fosters discussion in depth.

I’ll be honest here. I really didn’t like your first comment up there (You had no reply botton so I couldn’t reply up there). Jae has done his share of solo fan meetings whiles the other two were busy (not including the Egypt one) and no body thought he was abandoning “JYJ” to go solo. Su has also done his fare share of solo activities for his Solo Album and is even broadening it into the US (I’m in full support of that. Go Su! ^__^). It is absolutely alright, (100%) alright for Chun to also do solo fanmeetings in support of his drama (which is still being shown in other countries) and/or after the drama. Also actors in korea gets most of their rewards (profits) from the activities and deals/gigs that they get after their drama, but Yoochun, being a “JYJ”, had had no new deals after RTP. He needs the fanmeeting to both connect with new fans and to make up for the lost profit. And just incase you forgot, the fanmeeting announcements came after the fans from Thailand (or was it Taiwan) “asked” for him to come. He has indeed tweeted about the new songs he’s composing and even tweeted that he’s finish one and also about how hard it is to get ideas at one point. You either didn’t read about them or you forgot about those tweets. Please recheck his tweets on JYJ3. Don’t put any unfounded ideas in writing if it won’t do anybody any good. The first thing you could have thought of in this condition, was about his “well being”. Whether he’s being cyber-bullied too much and can’t handle it or not. Instead of speculating about him ditching JYJ to go solo because he’s grown popular.To me, the well-being of the individual members come first, mentally, physically and emotionally, before the group. Without the individual, there will be no group. If we forget about the member as a person, and only think about the “group”, we will be no bether than some of the OT5′s whose only wish is for DBSK to come together as 5 even if it’s under SME/AVEX. They are together now. We see the bond they have for each other. That should be enough for us to trust them.

Hi – Oh dear I never meant to imply that Yuchun is not to be allowed to do solo activities or that by doing so it signals anything dire to fans. That was not my point, not at all. My point is that the sum total of all the circumstances that I named in my original post have left me uneasy, with an uncomfortable FEELING about what is really going on with him. I clearly wrote that feelings are not facts and I was not stating that my feelings were fact. I can well understand why you feel so protective of his life and life choices, and in fact I want only the best for him too.
I also very much want JYJ to survive and prosper. That, if anything, could be considered my true bias – JYJ. I have read here about the saesang problem he faces and my heart goes out to him there. It must be awful. Still, I resist thinking of him as being as fragile emotionally and needing of refuge, as you seem to. These are resilient young men and they’ve had a lot of success. I don’t think any of them are running scared, not by a long shot.
As to the tweets you referred to, indeed I haven’t seen those and I have been fairly present on JYJ3. Then again, I am next to never actually monitoring my twitter so I guess they must have slipped by. Ultimately, only time will tell the tale of what is going on with Chunnie. I love him to death and want him to be well. But I also want to know what is going on with him as far as the music is concerned, as far as JYJ is concerned. So I will wait and see. I will look forward to knowing that.
Okay, I apologize. I may have spoken too soon. He has not actually tweeted again or anything. But before, it said the page does not exist, but now I can access his twitter account? And a lot of people I follow on twitter are saying it’s back?
Any twitter experts know what going on? lol. I saw someone say it’s showing up because it takes 30 days to delete, but then why can we access the page now when we couldn’t before?

Just saw it too, but actually, if someone wants to delete his twitter account it’s not deleted immediately. You have to not log in for four weeks (idk) so the account is definitely deleted, but if within this time someone (hacker?) logs in again, the account is not closed, but active again. So, who knows whats going on.

All those fans who has been with JYJ since the beginning of lawsuit till now knows how determinded members of JYJ wants to stay together as one. Even if Su and Jae starts deleting their account, I don’t think we can infer that they are going solo~~~. Nowadays. celeb communicates with fans thru social media but I think JYJ’s ultimate goal is to communicate with fans through their works. They don’t need to be on twitter 24/7. Honestly, I don’t follow them on twitter, I am just a fan who watch their dramas and most importantly, listen to their songs.

Me too, Lala. I mean, for all intents and purposes I don’t. I’ve never seen them tweet anything, I’m on so infrequently (@lilibaiyu in case anyone wants to add me, but don’t expect to see much activity from me. I’m rarely on.)
What I DO know is that social networking has been a huge part of JYJ’s strategy to somehow overcome the blocking and boycotting that SM has perpetrated against them and get directly to their fans, to connect directly with their fans and to let them know that they are still alive, still active, still doing things, making music and above all, to NOT forget about them.
JYJ has stayed alive, prospered and ultimately triumphed largely because of social media. That’s why, today for instance, people here were so unhappy that Yuchun was basically signing off his Twitter account, for whatever reason.
Lots and lots of fans have loved his infrequent and often cryptic tweets and photos.
For me, the idea that he was signing off flew in the face of so many obvious advantages that once again, I felt uneasy. I still believe it was not a good move. We’ll see, in coming days, what the fallout is. Ultimately, we’ll all know what is in his mind. We’ll all know what his thinking is. My comments were based on my own intuition. It could be right, it could be wrong. I totally accept that. We’ll see.

In this time , in this moment , I feel sorrow…. even I can accept yuchun’s decision, but I still feel blue just like lose a friend… i don’t know why, but i still keep searching videos and photos in web when I turn on my NB and mobile phone. We need to be used for the situation and let yuchun’s twitter remain in our deep heart. What can I do now for Yuchun? Vote! Vote!
