JYJ’s Park Yoo Chun recently deleted his Twitter account. On August 1, the singer-actor tweeted, “I’m always grateful for your continuing support and love. I hope to meet you again with better songs and acting. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart, and I love you.” Shortly after posting, he deleted his account.
Park Yoo Chun has avidly communicated with his fans through Twitter since October 16, 2010, expressing his thoughts and sharing photos. The unexpected move alarmed many fans, who began wondering if he was going through internal conflicts.
A representative of C-Jes Entertainment stated, “Anyone can sign up and delete SNS services with no reason, It’s the same for Park Yoo Chun. There were no special reasons, nor change in heart, in deleting his account. Therefore, fans should not worry.”
Meanwhile, Park Yoo Chun will kick off his Asia-wide fan meet tour in Shanghai on August 25.

JYJ’s Park Yoo Chun closed down his only window of communication with his fans.
On the evening of August 1, Park Yoo Chun tweeted, ‘You’re always cheering for me and sending me your love; I’m always so thankful. I want to continue to meet you with good music, acting and a good set of activities^^ I sincerely thank you again, and I love you!’ He then deleted his account on Twitter.
Park Yoo Chun has communicated with his fans through Twitter for a long time. Despite the time he spent using the service, he recently sparked concern among fans for leaving tweets that implied he was thinking of leaving Twitter, but he ended that phase with another tweet that read, ‘I’m done cleaning up my emotions.’
In the end, however, he deleted his account on August 1.
Fans showed their concern and support for the singer with tweets such as, ‘I guess anti-fans kept sending bad mentions. I hope he wasn’t hurt’, ‘Let’s meet offline!’ and ‘Take care, Yoo Chun.’
Park Yoo Chun will indeed be meeting his fans face-to-face with an Asia fanmeeting tour to start in Shanghai, China on August 25.

His account was back up for a short amount of time, which revived my hope that he’d changed his decision. Then it disappears again. T___T I know it’s his account and he can do whatever he wants with it, yet I still feel sad and don’t want him to leave Twitter at all.

I’m with you, and if some call us delusional, they are just like insulting Yoochun, the 33.333333% of JYJ. And if ever he releases something, be it a mini-album or full album, he doesn’t have to make concert tours to promote it. When a mere 1-hour fansign can gather thousands of fans, how much more if he has something his fans can listen to all day. All his fans from SKKS, Ripley to RTP from different countries (especially in China) + his fans from TVXQ to JYJ are more than enough market for his music. For the doubters, to see is to believe, now YC show them !

My first reaction was an immediate NO, completely reactionary on the totally selfish part of me that I’m still trying to get under control. But then I really gave it some thought and if I were in his shoes, I’d do the same thing, probably a long time ago. It’s really tough to share something of your private life to the public and fans demand it, nothing is ever enough, tweet more, upload more pics, explain your words, it’s a constant barrage. And in their world in which every tweet is turned into a news article, it can be overwhelming and quite vulnerable of a feeling.
I do feel like there is a change coming, his manager hinted at it, beyondmonica hinted at it, and I’m super curious as to what that may be. I’m hoping this is Yoochun taking a step away from the idol world (not JYJ), just moving away from having every second of his life documented for consumption to the fans. I hope his change is him drawing a clear line, that this is as much as he wants to give now and the rest he’d like to keep private. I’m in total support of this, while I started as a fan that just wanted to hear them and see them, I have grown to respect each member of JYJ for who I believe them to be, and wish for them all the joys that life can bring by just living freely. While it may never be fully possible for them, I think this a great step in that direction.
