“Park Yoochun Getting Married? I’ll Be The First To Break The News” (Part 1)
“Taking on historical drama without any experience? I think I will 100% be scolded. To be real actor Kim Jaejoong, rather than the safer way, I think it’s alright to challenge a new route.”
I recently met up with JYJ member Kim Jaejoong who is maturing as an actor, at a cafe in Cheongdam-dong on the 6th. Acting in MBC’s ‘Dr Jin’ as flowery military official Kim Kyung Tak, he was, to my surprise, earnestly accepting the criticism towards his acting in the beginning of the drama. He is also clear that he had to present a better self in the future.
“I didn’t meant to receive any recognition through this drama. An actor with no experience challenging in historical drama is indeed a very difficult thing. Though I was not able to perform perfectly for everyone but right now I am able to present, not JYJ’s Kim Jaejoong, but another side of mine. I am satisfied with this.”
JYJ members have proved their ability in singing, acting and variety skills and during ‘Dr Jin’ production press conference, Kim Jaejoong said that, “In JYJ, the one who is the worst actor is me.”
Asking him again to grade his acting, Jaejoong said, “Grading should not be done by me. How can I grade my own acting? (laughs)” He said, “Yoochun’s gentle charismatic acting is a different feel from the acting I presented. Everyone has his own merits.”, avoiding the comparison question with Yoochun.
Serious actor Kim Jaejoong, Getting away from the bias against idol-actors
Idol stars who became an actor could be a mistake from the start. Due to the idol status, therefore one has to endure even more criticisms when challenging acting. That day, Kim Jaejoong also expressed that he hope to grow into an actor who has a common stand point with the viewers through his acting.
“I think I shouldn’t just act in those I am able to. It won’t be good for me. If I were to act in a similar character, I would want to be better and I rather take a scolding and try out other characters.”
Kim Jaejoong could have just chosen the character he wanted or choose any drama with his fans’ support strength (T/N: meaning Jaejoong could have made any drama a success just by his fans’ support.) but his determination is very strong. He expressed, “I would want to try romantic comedy again. I would want to try to act as psycho patient in horror movies.”
Thinking back, ‘Dr Jin’ was the difficult historical drama that he had chosen to walk on. Jaejoong said, “‘Dr Jin’ gave me the determination I had for future acting and is a learning piece of work.”
Revealing love relationship at 20s – NO. Probably okay at 30 years old.
Being an actor and singer, the schedules were packed. But he is 27 years old and it is a perfect age to be dating. However to Kim Jaejoong the world star who is receiving love from the world, revealing a love relationship is not an easy matter.
Jaejoong, “I’m afraid that fans will be hurt and sad. I think that half of our fans are different. I saw on DC forum before that someone wrote an article with a title, ‘Hope that Jaejoong will meet such a girl.’ I think that the fan who wrote this is very cool. If I were to reveal my relationship, some fans will still be hurt right? I will not be revealing my relationships when I am in my twenties. I will think about it when I am more than 30 years old~ Ha”
You are like this but how about Yoochun or Junsu, what’s your thinking if they were to reveal it one day?
“They love to play it cool~ but I believe they will never reveal it. If Yoochun is planning to get married with someone, I will bring evidence to the reporters!”

Kim Jaejoong will be bidding Kim Kyung Tak goodbye next week and we asked him some questions.
Q: What’s your way to relieve tiredness?
I have been continuously eating omega-3 supplements that helps in blood circulation and brain functions. As for exercise, I feel tired even with aerobic exercise so I gave up. The best way to relieve stress is to stay at home, watch movie and drink wine. Sometimes I would drive around.
Q: Did you watch the 2012 Olympics while filming?
I did watch fencing, archery, shooting and swimming. I only watched clips of football, billiards, tennis and judo. I saw how Park Tae Hwan trained hard every day for the Olympics and when he was ruled as violating the rules and was disqualified, I shouted, “Why?” Then I rewatched the clips many times and then sent a message to Park Tae Hwan saying, “I really wish to fly to England right now.” Four years ago Tae Hwan told me he wanted to prepare for the Olympics well and seeing him trained hard for it hurts me.
Q: JYJ members’ plan for army enlistment?
Right now there’s no exact plan about enlistment but when time comes, we will go. And also! Recently Ji Hoon hyung (Rain) called, “Our army unit is pretty good. You can consider here.”
Q: How is the skills of cuisine master JaeGeum (combination of Jaejoong and Dae Jang Geum. It’s a nickname the company staffs gave it to me.)?
I am very confident with cooking and I should not have a problem obtaining a license. Especially spicy chicken stew. I made it better than the restaurants out there.
Q: What’s the reviews from the members?
They will still eat it even when they are on a diet. Yoochun likes the mixed seafood stew that I cooked in the middle of the night. As for Junsu, he will cry as he strictly does not eat at night. As he wants to eat thus can’t help and cried. (laughs)
Q: What’s your status on Kakaotalk now?
“Working hard with my might”. This is a motto for concluding ‘Dr Jin’ schedules well. As for photo, it is a photo where I pointed ‘V’ with both hands at the sky.
Q: If you were to get the new actor award at MBC award show?
New actor award can only be gotten once. It would be good if I could get it. If I got it, I would point ‘V’ with both hands to the fans and shout loudly, “I love everyone, thank you!”

Dae Jang Geum is finally expertise in combining medical knowledge with herbs and food , today’s nutritionist 
Hey Jae, omega 3 is good , but not to replace rice – ( organic brown rice provides whole grain fiber, carbon and vita B etc ) ,without it, digestion turn poorer and bad temper, pls check your side
Omega 3 cleans blood vessels, anti-oxidant, suggest for high blood pressure ppl, but it can’t help much for body affected by too much alcohol.
If blood pressure low,must avoid eating more omega 3, it further dilute your blood in brain and may faint easily. Perhaps DHA helps better, though more expensive. Warn ladies & elderly on this.
Health come first for us all.
Kim Jaejoong will make someone a great husband and father one day. I don’t know who the lucky lady will be, but she’ll have a husband who’ll sing to her, protect her and will cook for her, too. Wow–how lucky can she get?
Thanks for being considerate to fans, Jae. I want him to find happiness in the form of a partner, but I prefer him to keep it private. I don’t need to know whom he’s dating because I may feel jealous. It’s just human’s nature to feel jealousy. Unless he decides to get married then it’s another story. We’ll have to count on Jaejoong to know who Yoochun’s future fiance is. XD JYJ are really cute. I’m imagining Junsu’s dilemma over some late night meal. <3
