After working with Kim Junsu on the hit single Uncommitted, famed composer Bruce “Automatic” Vanderveer followed it up with some high praises of the singer.
Bruce “Automatic” Vanderveer tweeted on August 22, “Junsu reminds me of Michael Jackson. Incredible natural ability like Michael had. I worked with Michael when I was younger!”
Bruce “Automatic” Vanderveer has also previously worked with singers such as Christina Aguilera, The Wanted, Leona Lewis and more. Kim Junsu will hold his next concert in Hong Kong on August 26.

I just tweeted Bruce this, but I really really agree with him. I think Junsu is extremely reminiscent of Michael Jackson. I noticed it quite some time ago. I would love to see Junsu eventually fill those shoes. And why not?? He’s that good. And only getting better every time out. Fighting, Junsu!
Me too, even if I still think is is a bit…crazy? lol to think of such a comparison but I can’t help ^^ This occurred to me when I listened to Xiahtic for the first time and I immediately thought: emmm…Michael Jackson? o_O Sometimes Junsu really reminds me of him.

I thought I was the only one that was reminded of Michael Jackson when watching Junsu perform. Both have unique tones and are amazing performers! I’m glad people are recognizing this!

The first time I saw MJ perform live was when he was still singing with the Jackson Five although he was in his late teens/very early twenties probably at that point. I was simply blown away with his performance, I could not believe how fantastic he was. In terms of sheer raw talent, he was by far the best performer I’d seen and remember, I was a singer myself and had seen TONS of rock and R&B and Blues acts perform live by then, and the biggest ones in the business, too. By the end of the concert, after watching Michael blow the roof off the place, I felt like all the rest of us could just quit right then and there. lol So for Junsu to be compared to MJ by someone like Bruce, who worked with him, is a pretty big compliment.

Also, I totally agree with Bruce’s comparison of Junsu to MJ. Even though I never thought of MJ when I first saw Junsu. I did think to myself that Junsu has a true natural ability for singing and dancing. But I can see and agree on how he can compare him to MJ natural ability. This is a huge compliment to Junsu!

But you have to realize what has just happened: in a very short period of time indeed (IMPOSSIBLY short by US standards) Junsu flew to L.A. recorded the song, flew back a couple of weeks later, filmed the video and next thing you know the single has taken off like a ROCKET! I think it’s hard for American producers to really get what huge stars these guys are globally but Bruce sure knows now! I think he must be thrilled with what has been happening and how FAST it’s all been happening. His song/production was an INSTANT HIT. That can make any producer’s day.

Really??? Is that true? In this day and age?? Wow, that is sad. Well, I came from the San Francisco Bay Area and moved to the L.A. area and needless to say we have our large gay communities in both places. I have dear friends and neighbors who are gay and they are wonderful, intelligent and perfectly delightful people every one of them. So that saddens me. As I said, I never followed his career, but I certainly wish him well. My husband attended the Grammy awards one year with a client and he said Ricky’s live performance that night was the high point of the entertainment. Coming from him, that’s saying something.
Its owner for jyj fans and Kim Junsu to compere him as MJ and he deserved..

Not only do I think he is reminiscent of Michael Jackson, but like Michael, I think Junsu is a young genius. I’ve thought so for a long time. I just hope America welcomes him with open arms.
