I love JYJ
Greetings to all of the family of JYJ and I look forward to a wonderful week of good news and celebration!
Yes, as we wait for good news later this week, don’t forget to check out JYJ FAN FORUM – jyjfanforum.net, where you can start your own threads and discussions about JYJ’s past, present and even brighter future ahead
Anyone here know about rumor..JJ coming soon to jakarta this year ? i saw a retweet from koreanwaveina about it…. it it true or just a rumor..if it’s true than a hell of war will brake loose just for getting the ticket
Yeah, anyone knows?
“Galau”!!!
Really wanna see my ultimate bias in real life,
(۳-̩̩̩-̩̩̩-̩̩̩__-̩̩̩-̩̩̩-̩̩̩)۳ , please give the inform.
Clarie.. Do you have twitter?
yes i have twitter but i seldom use it. just to follow couple of website about JYJ to know their news
.
greetings to you too..
Should we prepare for the worst? Well, just in case we face a whole different result on upcoming thursday? Lol..just kidding, sorry.
I will be in a deep state of speechlessness if that’s the case.
I expect what will be the next move from the high and mighty korean federation of pop culture and arts industry (KFPCAI). Will they give out the excuse to the public that jyj should make an appologize statement first (or anykind of behavior which imply the same ‘surrender’ gesture) before the banning be lifted? Just as in jay park vs jyp ent’s case.
@ai uta
Yes, we are all in a wait and see mode. That’s understandable. Even though nothing is guaranteed in life, there is no indication the guys will lose. That’s why SM is fighting tooth and nail to drag this out. They know the truth is on JYJ’s side, winners win, and losers lose.
Jay Park’s case is so different from JYJ’s. His fight with JYP was personal. The guys are seeking a legal remedy for an injustice. This they have a constitutional right to do. No apologies are necessary when one exercises those rights. If these so called federations feel the need to embarrass themselves like that, so be it.
But JJ, YC, and JS have nothing, absolutely nothing to apologize for.
Lets stop expressing anger and dissapointment.
Here this is a site where you can contact supporters of SME JYP and others they invested around 3 to 4 million if not billion last year to boost hallyu wave it resulted in SNSD PSY appear on US media maybe you can convince them to support C-jes JYJ XIA. Write deplomatically but effective dont bring the drama issue or JYJ will remain having drama brodcast only. Concentrate on Music achievements of XIA and JYJ and how they promoted hallyu internationally through their music express what you want that could effect them to head towards caring towards the boys rights for local promotion. If you want to wait till the verdicate is up to you but i am going to post more. I dont care if its the federation or Ministry as long as you speak up is better than say nothing to them. I’ll provide you with more contacts you can neglect my post if it is not useful but dont talk to me like someone telling me something is wrong with my head cause i saw signs the federation can be won over. Serously what is wrong with the fandom no tact?
Anyway the ministry could be better to contact than the federation so here you go.
http://www.mcst.go.kr/english/contactus/contactus.jsp
if you wonder where the federation disappeared to, South korea is known to change the name of organizations and sometimes abolish them as they disperss its employees to join ministries and other organizations. Hav to go will be back with more contacts what is there to lose.
Thank you. But it does not seem to work when I press the “Write” button and it kept prompting me a pop-up msg, “Please Check E-mail”…….
Try it again.
and yw.
Make sure you e-mail is written correctly.
Ok trying…
Hi, the e-mail I typed in only accept my hanmail instead of my yahoo mail, thus I successfully sent ^^
@X
Thank you very much for providing that webpage to leave comments to the Ministry of Culture, Sports, Tourism. I will certainly send them a tactfully worded request to help in allowing JYJ’s ban to be lifted. ANY further addresses you can find and share with us, please post them here. There are quite a few posters on JYJ3 who write well and who would do anything they could to help JYJ.
@X
Thank you for providing the links & contacts.
Here are phones and fax and sites of South Korean organizations.
http://www.ifacca.org/directory/country/south-korea/
you can also contact the site that provided these links.
I heared C-jes got petitioned. If the fans managed that i am thinking i-fans could petition the ministry of culture. Why not think things carefully among yourselves come together and create an offecial international petition requesting to see JYJ and XIA on Mnet, music shows etc. Concentrate on music. Thanks and sorry if i get on someones nerves i’m gone and not coming back unless i have links i think could help. Byebye.
Thank you.
I just read a very eye opening article about JYJ members having to deal with female stalkers in the past. The article said that one stalker broke into Micky Yoochun’s house and tried to kiss him while he was asleep. Another girl got his private number and called him on the phone, which caused him to be verbally upset. The article said that another girl slapped him so that he would remember her. There was also something about an altercation between Jaejoong and a fan as well. The article said that being a celebrity is like being in a prison without bars. Wow, it really made me stop and think. I remember that Junsu said in an article once that if he could choose to go back in the past, he would not be an idol. I feel very sorry for the boys. Yes, they have money and fame, but they are constantly watched. It must be hard to have privacy. I hope they can fly to other countries once in a while where they are not as well known so that they can escape the public eye and just relax and be left alone.
My experiences and musings on Junsu’s L.A. concert and my particularly wonderful day.
I woke up this past Sunday excitedly looking forward to my evening in L.A. However, I dreaded the 2 hour and 15 minute (on a good day) drive north from my home because I never know what traffic I will encounter and usually the traffic heading north back into L.A. backs up long before I reach my destination. I was at least thankful that I got to drive the I-5 and NOT the 405 to the Hollywood Palladium. I took it as a good omen that traffic flowed smoothly until about a mile onto highway 101, I’m sure it was because it was a holiday weekend and so people stayed away that extra day!
I’d never been to that part of L.A., to Westwood many times, but not Hollywood. I arrived at about 5 pm and was not surprised at all to see the line start at the parking lot entrance and wrap around onto Sunset Blvd. I decided to park inside the Palladium lot since I’d had my new car only 2 or so weeks. Walking out the gate to the line, I stopped to talk to several young women in the front. Whilst chatting they told me they’d been there since 5:30 and that’s when I realized they meant A.M.! Oh My!
Following the line I noticed so many fans of varying ethnicities, ages, and those of both the female and male persuasions. I ended up standing at the back (or side?) doors of the venue in the little bit of shade that was available and trying to escape some of the heat of the day. I soon noticed several people associated with the concert. One in particular stood out. He was on the phone and it seemed he was waiting for someone or something, he turned around and there he was, Mr. Egg! I thought about saying hello but he ended up walking away quickly after his call.
I had the pleasure of meeting some of the fans around me. In front was a young woman who’d just turned 20 and was treating herself to the concert. She’s the same age as my youngest and she’d flown into LAX from her college, Sacramento State. I asked about her getting there and she told me because of delays she ended up paying for a taxi to bring her from the airport. Omo, the cost! Next to her, another young woman became interested in JYJ3 after I brought it up on my phone and she saw the translated article on Jaejoong and his new movie. Jaejoong was a big distraction for her. The power of the boys! On my other side were two young women from China who were here studying. One of the girls asked me if I liked him and JYJ because of their looks! Laughingly, I said it didn’t hurt and that the three were very good looking young men. She laughed to hear me say it. I may be older but I’m not blind!
It was their voices, personalities, and talent that drew me in a long time ago. All the girls were charming and so excited to be there. I found it funny that they all asked me how I knew Junsu…”Was it Youtube?”!!
Behind them was Hana from Seattle and her non-Korean husband who came to L.A. for just one day to attend the concert. They were in my age range! Anyway, after more questions of how I knew of Junsu, the concert, and JYJ, we settled into other topics. The foremost being we decided that Jaejoong needed (our wishing!) to release his own solo album, a rock one, and then go on tour just like Junsu. I, personally would also like to see a solo album, entitled, “The Song Stylings of Park Yoochun”.
During this time two young women appeared passing out bookmarks, red finger lights, stickers for XIA and JYJ and a pink plastic heart with XIA on it. Also, passed out by others, were white glow sticks to use for “Tree Covered with Dew,” a special project and another cool bookmark. I came away with some nice little mementos. Their dedication was touching.
Another great thing occurred during my time standing outside the rear doors, staff people started coming in and out. Next thing I heard was Junsu rehearsing. Wow, he sounded amazing even through the doors! It sounded even better when the doors would open. One of the younger women was so excited she was squealing and trying to peek in every time. It was like having a mini-concert before the real one!
At about 6:15 I decided to walk back up to the ticket window to see if a line formed for will call. I admit I was not happy about Powerhouse having a ticket glitch and not mailing my ticket to me as requested. They were very kind but still I worried that it would not be there waiting for me. However, waiting in that line turned out to be a blessing! There was young man behind me and 2 older (early 60’s?) ladies from Tokyo in front of me. We had such a lovely conversation. Junsu is their favorite and they’d first gone to NYC to his concert there and then followed him to L.A. I asked if they were then going on to Mexico, they laughed and said no they were going back home. We were very glad to see each other again after the show, but I was in my car, moving through the parking lot, and so I wished them a safe flight home. While still in the will call line, I watched Mr. Egg and the fans interact and then Bruce “Automatic” arrived with his group. He was very gracious and went over to the VIP line to greet the fans and take pictures.
I met another ‘noona’ fan (glossing right on over ‘ahjumma’!) and we stayed together for the entire concert, I with my bad back and she with a cast on her leg. I was a little bit envious when she told me she got to see JYJ perform at the sumo hall and also the massive charity concert at the national park in Japan. It was interesting to hear how difficult it is to get tickets for JYJ in Japan. The sumo hall concert was easier since it was an “open” concert. The park concert tickets are only available to fan club members and she pleaded to anyone with an extra ticket. She was far back but said it was still worth it. I wanted the shirt she wore that she bought from it! Come to find out she watches k-dramas like I do and did Japanese subbing for Viki. We hugged goodbye after the concert as we each headed for home and exchanged information to stay in touch. Lilibaiyu, she’s joining us for the next concert!
I’ve not forgotten Junsu’s actual performance. There are not enough superlatives to describe the performance he gives. PASSIONATE above all! His all-encompassing commitment, energy, amazing dance skill and fabulous voice…there is nothing like it live! He goes from sensual, sexy and charismatic to personable, shy, funny, and even bashful when talking directly to the fans. He commands the stage with all eyes focused on him, I could not look away afraid I’d miss something. Your heart and emotions get so involved with his songs, he makes you feel what he feels, at least it did for me. When he danced, I danced with him; when he sang from his heart, my heart ached with him; and when his tears appeared, mine did too.
I’m not going to give a rundown of the concert, song by song, as others may have done so. I enjoyed his smaller intimate moments with the audience. I loved it when he spoke English, his emphatic “Really!” when talking about his shyness and immediate skinship on his first day of filming his music video. My surprise when he said, “I love soccer” after receiving a gift of a jersey with XIA on the back and JYJ underneath it. I guess I expected him to say “football,” which actually might be confusing for the American fans. I laughed during the 3 wishes when he asked the men in the audience to close their eyes while he did the first request. I knew what was coming. He mentioned he did it when he was 20 and was still asked to do it at 27, cute and funny. Also, doing Psy’s “Gangnam Style” dance, saying he just learned it the other day…hmm, yeah, I think that was really hard for him to learn!
I’ll mention this once, since there seems to be some controversy for some fans. Yes, he had a “wardrobe malfunction” during “Uncommitted.” I noticed pretty directly probably because of where I was situated. Honestly, though, it was not a big deal and rarely did the rip show. He was professional and poised, finished the song, and then disappeared only to return a “changed” man.
He maintained his sense of humor and joked about it. I have to say the song was wonderful live and the accompanying dance upbeat and perfect for it, okay, he was perfect!
Random thoughts:
I thought it would feel strange to see Junsu perform without JYJ as a whole, and maybe that was just me since I’d seen him perform twice before with Jaejoong and Yoochun. I have to say that at least this once it was wonderful to focus all my attention on just one instead of trying to watch all three simultaneously! I could revel in the expressions and emotions that Junsu conveys in his music.
I really hesitated and felt uncomfortable about going by myself, not knowing anyone, and the drive up and the late drive home. But, I am so glad I got over that fear since I met such wonderful people and we shared in the phenomenal experience that is Junsu performing live.

@Eljay
YAAAY, Eljay! You’re my hero! GREAT fan account, focusing as it did on the FANS you met who went to see the amazing, the astounding, the incomparable Xia. Thanks for your impressions. You ROCK!
Thank you, Lilibaiyu!! Xia Junsu is ALL those things!
Lili,
Yes, there is not much money to be made in smaller venues. Conversely, there is not much money to be made in a 15K seat venue and you only bring in 5K. Same issue. The major point here, is needing sponsors to help offset the costs AND having a promoter that acts like it gives a S**T! Promotion is everything!
I understand people feel the awesomeness of past history status should be translating into bigger gains now. But the guys really are beginning a new chapter in their careers. So, they have to start over again. As long as the playing field is uneven, the gains are going to be smaller.
In a football game, when you start off on the 2 yard line, need to go 98 to score a touchdown, your offensive team is brand new, all of a sudden those 98 yards look mighty far away. All the time you need to be mindful of keeping the ball in your possession until you score. You need to make fewer mistakes, have no turnovers and keep the defense honest, hope there are no cheap shots because you can’t count on the refs to do the right thing.
This is how the game is played, with dogged determination, and in the end, the team with the most points at the end of 4 quarters wins! It is not impossible. It can be done. Those larger venues will be there in the end. Patience my sister, patience.
This should be waaaaaaaaaaaaaay down farther! Sorry.
@BAF

So very true. Our guys need it all, top of the line Everything as the mega-stars in SKorea that they truly are. I believe it will come, honestly I do. Koreans are a very pragmatic and competitive people. If businesses there see that real prestige is to be had and real money is to be made by associating themselves with the JYJ brand, I think they will come on board and sooner rather than later. Everything JYJ and the individual members have been doing in the last year has been brilliant, critically acclaimed, successful for their business partners and above all honorable. There WILL come a day when all of the sum total of who they are and what they have accomplished will boomerang back in THEIR favor.
@eljay
It is cool meeting people from all walks of life who come together and share the joy of seeing any of the guys. From your description, there wasn’t a jaded soul around. The excitement level never ceases to amaze me.
Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed it so much! Glad you got over the going by yourself thingy. I find, the older I’m getting, the less I mind it. Odd huh?
@butterflesarefree2
Thank you! Attending a JYJ or Junsu concert is an experience unto itself and I thoroughly enjoy meeting the diverse groups of people that make up their fans.
I find I do a lot more by myself than I ever did before now that I’m older. I find I mind less too, just maybe it’s the mentality that life is to short, so seek out what you want to do, what makes you happy, and enjoy the most of it even it sometimes means you have to do it alone.
@Eljay

eljay and butterfliesarefree — my Two Heroes! I really agree. I find myself pretty comfortable doing things solo now that I never in a million years would have done previously – like going to restaurants and movies solo, for starters. I can’t believe that I’m still a JYJ/Junsu Concert virgin, but circumstances thus far have conspired against me. But as we professional football fans know — there’s always next time! I hope that the moment will be right for me then, and I will be cheering, crying, singing along at the top of my lungs, hugging and dancing in the aisles with the two of you.
xxoo
@Lilibaiyu
” I find myself pretty comfortable doing things solo now that I never in a million years would have done previously ”
I can remember in my early 20′s when my mom started doing the same thing and I thought “how strange, I don’t think I could ever do that!” Now that I’m doing the same thing I totally understand why. There are things my hubby doesn’t want to do that I am interested in, so if I don’t want to miss out I need to step up and just do it…and sometimes it’s just “me” time, a break from my daily responsibilities of work and family.
Going to Junsu’s concert by myself was HUGE for me, not just the drive but feeling awkward in my age, and now I feel I can do anything by myself and be just fine. Once there it was “pfft” I am here to watch and listen to an amazing and vastly talented man, we all are, so let’s share in it together as nothing else matters in that moment.
Lilibaiyu, I’m holding you to this, “and I will be cheering, crying, singing along at the top of my lungs, hugging and dancing in the aisles with the two of you.” !!!!
Eljay
“I hope that the moment will be right for me then, and I will be cheering, crying, singing along at the top of my lungs, hugging and dancing in the aisles with the two of you.”
Please hold her to it. What I have discovered is that I make the decision, and then do it. Too much thought leads to cop outs. Life is too short, nothing is guaranteed. I no longer want to say, “What if”. Goodness knows I’ve been to enough concerts in my lifetime to appreciate the ‘art form’. So, from now on, health willing, and time available, the next JYJ concert that blows my way, I’m there again!
I literally was so pumped while ‘Tarantallegra’ was being performed. I meant it when I said it was better live. Both the regular and dance video were awesome but the live sound of that song was SO incredible. The sound system in the Hammerstein did not mess with any of tracks, we were fortunate. Even without all the visuals in the video, and of course that was played on the screen earlier, this live was just not to be believed. I wouldn’t trade having the chance to experience this for ANYTHING!
I’m lucky my hearing in my right ear is still intact. There was this VERY loud young lady behind me and I wasn’t sure if she was going to make it through the entire show without passing out from screaming so much. When it was finally over, I turned around and the dear thing was crying buckets and shaking. I asked her if she was going to be alright? Her mom looked at her and started smiling, obviously knowing how into Junsu her daughter was. I thought bless her heart. The impact was just stunning.
There was this older couple who sat down in the row blow me on the steps. The woman must be a huge fan. She came with some kind of medical condition because she was wearing a cloth mask. She also needed to keep a light-weight blanket over herself to ward off cold. Sometimes it was over her head and sometime around her neck. But she obviously had to be there.
What struck me the most was the emotional investment by people from all walks of life. Being drawn to any or all of the members of JYJ has created this amazing community. It truly is a sight to see, and be a part of. This my VE Sister is what I want you to experience first hand.
@BAF

OK, OK, OK. Now I’m going to come clean and say that because I spent so many years performing at concerts, I don’t actually have that much experience going to concerts. I always slipped in through the back door, did the performance and slipped back out again.
So going to a JYJ/Junsu concert presents many difficult elements for me. But still — I am determined to go and the next time they play I vow that I will. Why? Because this is how much I love and believe in the talents and abilities of these 3 young men. Let’s just hope that the gods and the venues they choose will conspire with me to make that happen.
So the whole “going to a concert as a regular person” thing is a whole new experience for me. A brief disclaimer: I hate being in the middle of crowds and I don’t care for inferior or overly LOUD sound (as you, BAF, know all too well.
@eljay
“Lilibaiyu, I’m holding you to this, “and I will be cheering, crying, singing along at the top of my lungs, hugging and dancing in the aisles with the two of you.” !!!!”
lolol And I MEAN it! If only there had been seating at the Palladium I would have been soooo there. I have been crying out for BIGGER VENUES, BIGGER VENUES all of this time! I’m channeling “Field Of Dreams” here, but I really believe that if you build it they will come. If you book larger venues, the fans will come. I understand C-jeS’ need to be conservative but I think that in time both JYJ and Junsu will be emboldened by their success and choose larger venues. This is my wish for them. Each time I have noticed that they have “gone conservative” and chosen smaller than needed places to play. I understand the thinking, but I look forward to the future. As I’ve always said about these 3 remarkable young men, the sky’s the limit.
My VE Sister
I understand your desire to see JYJ perform at ‘large’ scale venues. So do I. There really should not be another Prudential Center, not even half filled. But the reality right now is that in order for that to happen, they need a promoter that is going to take the JYJ brand and do something with it. Powehouse IS NOT it. I’m not sure of their status, if it is the largest promoter of Asian acts or what, but this company is sorely lacking IMHO. They do the bare minimum and that is it. I don’t know what their pay scale is, but whatever it is, they are overpaid. You have to tell people the act is coming. It is that simple. This is a discussion for another day.
Also, we need to understand and be patient. I know this is hard for some people. But the reality right now is, for the forseeable future, the guys have to make money. Until the playing field in SK is level, JYJ have to make money through the methods they are employing right now. The larger venues will come one day my sister.
@BAF
“But the reality right now is, for the forseeable future, the guys have to make money. Until the playing field in SK is level, JYJ have to make money through the methods they are employing right now.”
The problem is though that there is very little money to be made in the smaller venues, what with Junsu’s large travel expenses and all the various people that need to be paid and get their cut of the profits. The Hollywood Palladium for instance. I wouldn’t be surprised if he made NO money there after expenses. What with the costs of travel, hotels, salaries, the show production costs — you can very easily lose money touring these days unless you’re playing arenas as they used to as part of DBSK, and of course for which, since SM termed live performances “promotional activities” they got paid nothing.
I think this is why Junsu emphasized his gratitude to C-jeS in an interview recently for “their investment in him” for this album and tour. Because I think that’s what it’s been — an investment in the future career of Junsu. I just don’t think there’s ever going to be much money to be made touring with venues this size with a show as complicated as his.
Thank you for fanaccount…feeling like attending the concert again…can’t believe it’s been months since Xia concert in Jakarta. Missing Junsu so much…
It always feels like their concerts (Junsu & JYJ) go by in a blink of an eye and I know I’m not ready to give it up or give them up.
I already miss them as soon as the last note has faded away and I also know I have no idea when I’ll get the pleasure to see them perform live again.
It sounds like you had an amazing time! Thank you so much for sharing it with us!
I truly did and you’re welcome!
@eljay
thank you thank you thank you for your review. did i write 3 thank you’s? LOL….i got my eyes teary reading it, especially when it comes to the fans. it reminds me of the time i watched junsu’s concert in jakarta. before it, i had no jyj-fan friends to share stories or my love of them, but then i met some nice jyj (and cassie) fangirls. we still keep in touch and plan to see any jyj’s performance in the future.
@shimclover
You did and you’re welcome! I love reaching out and making new friends who share in the awesomeness that is JYJ.
If i’m not wrong today is the 10th already in Korea. I really hope that this time the court makes a decision about the main lawsuit and stop agreeing to SM’s lawyers about another delay. No matter what is the decision, this matter needs a closure. JYJ Fighting!!
I guess i was a little too impatient…. it’s not the 10 but the 13th OTL 3 more days
I’m posting my account here as well. I did submit a few days ago but I guess it was deemed too late, so anyway…here it is.
***************************
“You Are Under My Spell”
There’s an old Motown song by the Marvellettes, written by William Robinson Jr., a.k.a. Smokey Robinson, called “My Baby Must Be A Magician”.
“You are under my power, It is the power of love…My baby must be a magician, ‘Cause he’s sure got the magic touch”…
This is what it felt like on Thursday evening, August 30, 2012, at the Manhattan Center’s Hammerstein Ballroom theater, watching JYJ’s Junsu do his thing on his Xia 1st World Tour Tarantallegra in New York City. The magician put everyone under his spell and for the remainder of the night, the crowd experienced XIA MAGIC.
It truly is a wonderful thing to experience a concert or appearance of any kind, by a member of JYJ. So many people come from such diverse backgrounds and demographics. It already starts off with a feel good atmosphere. It only gets better the closer to the performance. The excitement, enthusiasm, and anticipation just kept growing and growing.
There was a long wait to get in for some unknown reason. But everyone made the best of the situation. Waiting gave us a chance to see the Empire State building light up at night. Friendly New Yorkers waved from their cars as the crowd grew.
The Hammerstein is quite intimate. Not a bad seat in the house. I was lucky enough to get a seat in the middle section of the first balcony. I could see the entire stage. For me, seeing everything is important, not just the star. Getting a feel for the entire production makes the whole experience come together.
From the opening with “Breath”, a high energy song to the encore with “Fallen Leaves”, there was not a bad selection. I felt like each one was chosen with care. “No Gain” written/composed by JYJ member Jaejoong, provided the kind of multilevel song that changed tempo throughout. “Lullaby” had a very sexy styling that would definitely put you in the mood. “Intoxication” can at this point, almost be a signature song for Junsu. The crowd went wild and sang the entire song with him. “Set Me Free”, made you want to be free to dance. “You Are So Beautiful”, what else can be said. Junsu will never be able to do a bad rendition of this song. The other two songs in this set – “Though I Already Know” and “Around and Around” provide romance mood setting, through vocal power personified. You will never mistake the passion that is being invoked.
“Be My Girl” remix saw the Slaughterhouse dancers pump up the audience with the interactive song that will always be a crowd pleaser. A special note here about the Slaughterhouse crew. To me, it appears as if they have an affinity for working with the members of JYJ. From the backup support they provided Junsu, it was clear to me, they enjoyed what they were doing. Yes, they are professionals and they are supposed to do a good job. But I truly felt they LIKED working with this young man. The dance routines throughout the entire show were smooth and snazzy. Good job Jeri. Thanks.
Next up were numbers from Mozart and Elisabeth – “The Last Dance”, “I Am, I Am Music”, and “Why Don’t You Love Me”. This set showcases what few in the South Korean music industry can do, if any. How many artists can transition songs from musicals into a pop concert and make them sound as if they belong? Especially since they are songs the artist has done in the musical genre. Kim Junsu, you have a lot you can be proud of. You are sharing with your fans, your passion for the musical stage. We thank you. One member of our group was very happy!
Ok, this might sound a bit strange. Is it possible to be in love with a costume or an outfit? Odd as it may sound, I am. While I watched Junsu and company perform “Tarantallegra”, I kept thinking, damn he looks hot in that outfit! Who knew red and black could smoke that much? Yes, both videos (song and dance) are fabulous, but the live is amazing! You really do get the feeling of being under a spell, to dance and keep on dancing. When it was over, I kept yelling, “Repeat, repeat!” My heart was pounding so hard. The excitement level was off the chart! At the very end of the song, the sorcerer sat on his throne and looked over the crowd, daring anyone to move. Sweet.
There was a behind the scenes, making of video for Tarantallegra. For those of you who like your Junsu sweaty, and you know who you are; there was enough hard work and sweat to please you all. The hard work and dedication to perfection that was shown in this video, highlights the awesomeness of the actual music video.
“Fever” keeps the fast pace going. Then we come to “Uncommitted”. First there is the video of the song, in a much clearer version, that I preferred over the dreamy one. Sorry, but Junsu looks better in the clear color version. Then there is the live. I liked the live better than the video. The dance routine set the tone for the song, and Junsu showed why he is the consummate performer. It sounded better live. So did the audience as they sung along with him. Even dancing, his English pronunciation skills took no backseat. The dance routine was snappy and gave the song more energy than the video.
The last three, “I Don’t Like Love”, “Dew-Laden Tree”, and “Fallen Leaves” showcase Junsu’s ability to work his voice without any tricks, simply skills.
A few observations. Despite jet lag and tiredness, Junsu set a high standard for himself, coming off as a true professional. This is hard work, but he shows he’s up for the challenge. It’s not easy to be on a stage by yourself. This is the ultimate fan meet. Commanding a stage, knowing how to work it, this is no newbie trainee. This is someone who knows what a stage is for, and uses it to the max. Junsu made every fan in the Hammerstein feel as if he was singing to them.
This is a grownup Kim Junsu. He’s a man who has left the teen idol image where it should be, in the past. Deciding to do a solo album and tour, gives him the chance to grow his skills, to become an even stronger group member. What Junsu showed to the audience in attendance in NYC, is a man who has arrived. Thank you Kim Junsu. It was a joy and a pleasure to meet you.
A special shout out to my JYJ3 friends whom I shared the experience with…estelgrace, rosmery, jyj4everfan, ellyellephant (and mom). I had a world of fun, and sharing this with you made all the difference! It was a pleasure to meet all of you.
I don’t have a favorite JYJ member. To me, they are all special. Each one is unique in his own way, and brings something only that member can bring. But to all the Junsu fans, however you want to be known, this is dedicated to each and every one of you. There is a special Junsu fan who is a good friend of mine, she knows who she is…you have a right to be as proud of him as you are.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us! I love how beautifully it portrays the intimacy and power of Junsu’s performance!
@ Butterfliesarefree2
Love your account of the concert, your words describe it so well. It truly was a magical experience.
From one day to the next I can never decide which is my favorite outfit. It’s toss-up between the long white jacket with the leather pants or the red & black one from “Tarantallegra.”
I’ve always known that I would enjoy your fanaccount, I’m right. Although we’re trying to express how enchanted Xia night was, I think you came out better in explaining it.
Thank you for sharing…and thanks to @eljay too.
Hope Jaejoong Fanmeeting in Jakarta will also happen, and I can get a ticket, so I can write a fanaccount again.
@dolphinxiah
You’re welcome.
@butterfliesarefree2
I loved your fan account so much! It really brought it all back to me!! <3
I also want to say that it was great meeting all of you, and I hope to meet again in the future!!
Hello my friend. Please accept my apology for spelling your JYJ3 moniker incorrectly. I’ll remember from now on.
I so enjoyed meeting you, sharing your enthusiasm. Please extend to your mom my best wishes and also how much I enjoyed meeting her. Looking forward to a tour in 2013! Yeah baby!
@eljay and
@butterfliesarefree2 thank you for your amazing accounts. I am green w/ envy as I could not attend it this year. My tax return will all be spend on JYJ events next year, so JYJ please let us know when the 2013 World Tour starts. For all of JYJers who attend it, what lucky fellows you are!
It will happen my friend.
In the last three years JYJ men travelled to four continents, met and worked w/ people from around the world, composed, sang, danced, acted, did charity work, donated millions, represented numerous causes…lived thousands of experiences, gathered thousands upon thousands of stories to last a lifetime. How pitiful are all these coward broadcasting stations that don’t have the foresight of what a gold mine will be to invite the boys to their talk shows, variety shows, and so on and so forth. Our boys have so many stories that each show that the boys would be invited would be fresh, funny, and original. Pitiful, pitiful people.
Do you think they’re still afraid of ‘you-know-who’ influence? Such a pity indeed, i hope our boys keep the high spirit, remain solid and never give up (-_-)
Hello everyone! I was thinking, wouldn’t it be awesome if Junsu got to perform with Beyonce! They both dance awesome I can just imagine that performance.
What do you all think?
hehe me again, I love the dance steps Beyonce did in the music video for Run the World (Girls) and then I think of Xia’s amazing moves too.
Ruling date delayed. Again. *headdesk forever* I know that the decision is settled and in the boys favor, but goshdarnit, I want it official and in the books. Anyone up to going to Korea to shake some sense into their justice system?
I read this on my TL in Twitter! Damm frustrating!
On the court website they say ‘assumed reason: arbitration’. Documents were submitted on Sept. 11th, however, details have not yet been released and others say there may be another reason behind the postponement. Seems like SM want to play this game forever…waiting for the final verdict and 2 days before they call for arbitration. I can understand the court that they want to settle the case on this way so they accepted the arbitration once again. But they should know like we all do that the 2 parties will not reach an agreement through an arbitration. It’s only a way to keep this lawsuit going. And we can be sure SM will go through all court instances only to block JYJ for the next years. It’s really sad that there seems no real justice in the Korean law system…
Rough trans (credit rubypurple_fan):
JYJ-SM exclusive contract dispute, final sentence has been postponed again
The final sentencing between SM entertainment (hereinafter called SM) and JYJ’s exclusive contract dispute has been postponed again.
The final sentence for the case between SM and JYJ is scheduled to take place on Sep 13, 10 am at the Seoul Central District Court in Dongguan. But the judge had ordered that the position must be adjusted on both sides. Representatives of SM and JYJ has submitted a written note on the 11th. On the 12th, the date change was determined.
SM and JYJ’s dispute is originally scheduled last July 19. Then was changed to August 10 but SM side requested for arbitration, but eventually, the arbitration has not been successful.
There are a total of 6 arbitrations since May of last year, both sides’ position show no signs of agreement.
Last July 2009, JYJ members Kim Jaejoong, Park Yoochun, Kim Junsu who were members of TVXQ (a group under SM) has filed for injunction on the suspension of their exclusive contracts.

This is getting ridiculous. The courts and JYJ’s lawyers should already know the game SME is playing and yet they keep granting them arbitrations. So lets us wait the customary month to receive the “shocking” news that both sides did not agree so that the court can give a new “final verdict” date and then go, “Oh no. SME asked for a new arbitration so JK on the ruling date.” Will this ever end?
@retrokim
If the judge in the case has been compromised, it could go on indefinitely. Remember, this is a NEW judge, not the one that heard all of the original evidence. His rulings have all been to allow SM additional leeway. So this makes me wonder, really it does.
It’s about the money now. The judge doesn’t have a backbone to decide the amount and announce it. You cannot make people who don’t agree, agree. That is what ‘your’ job is all about your honor.
Having a new judge is not the issue. He cannot overturn the previous decisions about the contract legality. His job now is to decide the monetary issue. He just doesn’t have backbone.
@ butterfliesarefree2
i am not asking you to drop the public opinion issue. Can the fansom not take a chance to send CNN and NBC, BBC, The big time media a letter?
lets focus this week on sending CNN ” not the FP please drop the issue people i repent oh idealistic fandom lets not make an issue to cast away JYJ’s issue okay lets get back on track” in this fandom is lilibaiyou the only one trying to get CNN attention on JYJ’s and XIA’s blacklist case did only one letter reach CNN “i havent finished my letter” will this week CNN only recieved two letters? while PSY’s company is pushing PSY on CNN and NBC to promote their cause the idealistic fandom is doing what to COUNTER that move. All it freaking takes is a letter can we collect like 70 OR MORE letters to CNN and NBC you can copy and paste the same letter to send it to the big serious medias.
please you really want to effect South Korean public Opinion? LoL NBC IS EFFECTING SK PUBLIC OPENION RIGHT NOW GO ASK MR.EGG PSY IS TAKING OVER THE WORLD. HE JUST APEARED ON FUCKING NBC NOW ALL SOUTH KOREA LOVES PSY GUESS WHAT PSY COULD BE KICKING OFF XIA NOW WHO WOULD FEEL FOR XIA IF NBC PROMOTE PSY FOR SOUTH KOREA.
please understand. SK public openion is effected by AMERICAN MEDIA MOST. you letters would be best heared by CNN and NBC. TALK TO THEM ABOUT THE UNJEST TREATMENT the boys are suffering from since three years ago this block from TV promotion this opression is news for American media they always highlight about unjustice here and there well there in SK three singers are undergoing unjustice they left SME so SME used its influence in the music industry to blacklist them please CNN investigate ect the Boys need help. I told you the ministry of culture wont miss the CNN NBC news it could be embarrassed to act and lift this ban how ells are you going to move the powers.
Am not asking you to dismiss you methods but use the other method dont let SK see AMERICAN media happy with SME JYP ECT BECAUSE OF PSY SNSD WONDERGIRLS ECT. let SK know American media knows about the appauling injustice and i believe they will finally act to make things right so they dont get critizised by American media about JYJ’s issue cause the issue complained about is no longer there to complain about.
I am not perfect but no one is lets guide eachother lilibaiyou guided me on the choice where i should send out my letter is the fandom here really not going to give e-mailing CNN a shot? are JYJ and XIA fans not going to complain to CNN about Shedding light on JYJ’s and XIA’s case. Oh idealistic fandome what are you really doing the sites are there and you have e-mail and copy and paste option you dont need rewrite the same letter to other international media. Lets cast light on the boys case. While at the same time you can go about you other method anything that helps right. or is the idealistic fandom more into fans wrongs on their posts then click away solutions. sorry about my manner in speech but arent i making a serious point when i try ask the fandom to send CNN a letter to cast light on the boys case. Some countries changed their systems and attitudes because of CNN criticism or exposing them. THINK about that JYJ fans.
@ retrokim
the boys arent the onesin charge of giving in to this t court acceptence of SME request. JYJ lawyer already said many times to the court to hurry and make the verditct. The boys know SME is stalling on purpose. SME wants to contonue pushing its employee singers on TV for promotion so new generation come to know and love SME artists. TV promotion is important. C-jes cant promote the boys free of cost like SME does. There is a reason why Singers have to go on TV. This is why SME is stalling trying to get singers away from TV meand gradual view reduction meaning growing disappearance. SME is trying to get the boys forgotten from the music scene with time. Thats why they stall time. The boys only hurdle is TV PROMOTION through variety shows and live TV preformances. The boys go for Dramas because its the only open promotional method . People who love the actor on the Drama will try get information on him/her thats how some new JYJ fans came to know of JYJ Music. JYJ try promote their music through Drama they NEED the promotion. WHILE the boys are blocked SME singers are getting more popular each year gaining more fans even abroad simply because they have brodcast. PSY was interviwed on CNN. Media talks to Media. JYJ dont have the fair offecial Media appearance.
i wonder if CNN can do report on the bullying JYJ are recieving.
Does anyone think about sending CNN about the unjest system and brodcast bullying unity against XIA and JYJ? That documentary program about fightong slavery maybe scandalizing SME bullying works too.
Maybe that would get the court a backbone to hurry up. This issue is shameful and embarrasing.
What does the fandom think to do? can we get our voice to CNN?
all it takes is a letter right. And this is a news scoop anyway, CNN would be delighted.
I think the fans here tried to do something like that a long time ago with The New York Times and it didn’t work. I don’t know about CNN or BCC. It is worth a try I suppose.
I am not sure if this is the right link for contact its the CNN Freedom Project
i think this is for comments section did not know how to get to contact them but lets look this up sorrythey dont say how to contact the FREEDOM PROJECT people. Will try again but lets look this up maybe its a way to voice not sure through.
http://thecnnfreedomproject.blogs.cnn.com/2011/02/17/more-about-the-cnn-freedom-project/#com-head
This is how to contact CNN
put in mind the CNN Freedom Project it should be jock pot since its documentary and suitable for the case
http://edition.cnn.com/feedback/
i dont know how to contact the CNN Freedom Project not sure about the link in the first reply.
@X
To be honest, I don’t think the CNN Freedom Project is the correct vehicle for JYJ’s story. While we do earnest cast the situation in terms of ‘slavery’, the issues addressed in the Freedom Project are related to ‘real time’ stories on modern slavery.
I think gaining attention in the realm of public opinion will work better in SK. I know, yes the same society and culture where all this nonsense is taking place. But the outcome in my estimation should be, attention focused on what is or is not happening in the legal circles in SK. Only public opinion in SK will be able to address this.
If the fandom wishes to spend money for worthy causes, what better way than to spend it on media buys – newpaper/magazine ads, radio spots, buses, etc. Letting the populace know the international fans of JYJ are paying attention to how the legal system is being played by SM. How this situation looks to those who are being asked to view the Hallyu Wave favorably.
As long as SM thinks it is operating in a vacuum, they feel they can get away with this nonsense. But for ANY effort to be successful, it needs to well thoughtout and organized. Just my humble opinion.
@butterfliesarefree2
i am wondering if the SK public opinion is power. Foreign news like CNN can ebarrass the minstry of culture and to save face it could do something about this ban.
I am not sure myself if the CNN FP is the right chice but i want a deep impact a news that cancast light on SME bullying howJYJ suffered from 13 year contract inculding underpayments and unhealthy work conditions and how JYJ and XIA filed a lawsuite and how they are constantly blocked from the music scene because they left their former agency etc. and SME establisher a former interpol wanted man formed the SME company what was the dirt the interpol had on him yet he got away with it forming a company that issues slave contracts and how it uses its influence on the media to block any singer who left the agency. How JYJ and XIA are not brodcast like other singers are allowed. I am not sure about the choice i just figured the CNN FP is about injustice in system and JYJ and XIA are suffering from an unjust system blocking their freedom. And i figured the CNN FP could make a big nois since its a documentary it could slap the SK powers like the Minictry of Culture slap sense into them to diss bad reputaioned SME and support the victims of bullying namely JYJ and XIA. REMEMBER the ministry has controll over SK media more than SME if SME was ultimate power JYJ would show in Drama Brodcast and attend Drama ceremony awards events. The Ministry needs to be directed to support the boys brodcast appearance that much i do know but how i am trying to figure out maybe having foreign media slap some sense into them abouth the shameful way singers JYJ and XIA are being treated in the music industry. The infair block mainly.
@X
I decided to go with the CNN link “suggest a story.” So here is what I just sent off to them:
Hello Tireless Workers At CNN,
I have never been moved to write to CNN before but a situation currently happening in S. Korea has me so angry and appalled that they have the NERVE to call themselves a democracy who values the rule of law that I just had to write. It involves a very talented and impressive group of three singer/songwriters called JYJ. They had been signed by SM Entertainment, a SKorean recording and management company to an unfair and one-sided 13 year “slave contract” as teenagers and finally almost 3 years ago, they walked out and sued the company to be freed from this contract. They had been fantastically successful up until then as part of the SK group DBSK, but walked out with basically the clothes on their backs – the company actually owned everything they had. Since the lawsuit was initiated, SM has had them blacklisted and barred from appearing on TV, radio and has warned all people associated with the SK music business, via backdoor, clandestine threats, not to work with JYJ or to allow them to appear on TV music programs, etc. The group proceeded with the lawsuit and won the initial ruling invalidating their contract, but nothing changed. The second part of the lawsuit involves how much money SM will have to pay now in back royalties and penalties. Suddenly the initial judge who had heard the case was changed to a new judge. This judge insists that the two sides must agree on a settlement via arbitration. But as long as SM does not agree, the members of JYJ are barred from doing almost all promotions inside SK. The problem is that SM does not want an even playing field for the rest of its acts to have to compete with JYJ — that’s how good they are. Also, SM doesn’t want any of their other acts getting any ideas about wanting out of their unfair contracts and finally SM obviously doesn’t want to have to pay up. So now, in addition to colluding with various media outlets, concert venues, etc. barring JYJ, they now seemingly have gotten to the judge in this case! Is there any possibility that you can look into this situation? JYJ has a huge fanbase, not only in SK but all over the world. As today’s latest in a series of “final verdict” dates came and went without a ruling, the international fans of JYJ are devastated and angry. JYJ can not get simple justice in their own country. They have been used by that country again and again to promote the interests of SK and yet they can get no help from anyone there when THEY need simple justice from the courts there.
Thanks for reading this and please look into it. It is as lurid and shocking a story of pervasive corruption in the music business as I have ever seen, and I’ve been associated with the music business in the USA all of my life.
Thanks,
@lilibaiyu
your letter is excellent and a good choice too.
if CNN recieves more letters from the fans it might quickly look into JYJ’s case.
Well i have to go i have faith in fans choices make your voices heared. Thank you and good bye.
I agree with Butterflies..CNN Freedom Project deals with ending sex trafficking and modern day slavery of children, women, and men..In my honest opinion..I do not see CNN finding three millionaires, with all the advantages of modern life, who can afford lawyers, have bodyguards, have access to medical care, travel the world, own homes,expensive cars and boats, aren’t being beaten, or forced into prostitution, and aren’t going hungry, as a cause to do a piece.
The people that are shown on this program would probably wish to take JYJ places in a heartbeat…even with SM looming over their heads.Most of these people live in inhumane conditions, have dirt floors, and most likely no running or clean water…. are forced into prostitution, and are beaten on a regular basis, malnourished, or dying…
I think JYJ only fans and Cassies who support all five.. should collaborate and find a different avenue..to help JYJ cause. In my honest opinion, I do not think Jaejoong, Junsu, or Yoochun would ever want us to take help or attention away from children, women, and men who bady need it and focus on them.
@X
I certainly cannot tell you when and where to post your thoughts on the CNN FP idea. Here is something I ask you to keep in mind.
Even if, and I say if, CNN FP were to consider using this story. Do you have any idea how long it would probably take for them to investigate, produce, then post the story? It could be MONTHS before any action is taken. The stories even on regular CNN progamming take several months to produce. Magazines themselves work on a story for months before you see the issue come out. Stories don’t come out after a couple of weeks of being worked on before you actually see them.
IMHO what the fandom needs to consider is an orchestrated effort to produce letter writing, print media, advertising campaigns that reach out to the public. Let the public know the Korean and International fanbase of JYJ want a fair and just end to this case. Not to allow one company to continue to manipulate the judicial system that is causing the country’s image to be tarnished abroad.
Challenge those who do have a voice inside the country to speak out and let the courts know that denying JYJ justice is not how a civilized society engages. Public opinion can be a very strong force if used correctly. Putting the powers that be on notice that the world is watching. South Korea is anxious to spread their culture. But if the image is tarnished, then spreading that culture becomes that much harder. Reaching out to the larger society to me makes a better impact.
But for it to have any force, it should be composed of as many fan groups as possible in a cohesive, collective manner. This makes the voice stronger…strength in numbers. So, I’m ready to work with whoever is interested to get this off the ground.
Since we have no idea when the next ‘supposed final decision’ is to come down, the sooner we get started the better. I’ll be posting some draft ideas on the subject matter. Hopefully, there will be enough support we can get this off the ground.
@daizy and @butterfliesarefree2
look at lilibaiyou she just went with what she saw fit i dont need lectures about CNNFP i’m flexable. Now i dropped FP SO STOP LECTURING ME. how many fans are going to talk about CNN FP now? The point is JYJ and XIA.
i liked lilibaiyous choice mine was wrong. I was rash about the first choice lets end it. Lets talk about the boys. I cant belive American media did not shed light on the scandalous unjust treatment JYJ And XIA are suffering from while i HEARD SNSD got on letterman. France talked about the blacklist or the ugly side of K-POP taking JYJ’s case as an example how they are banned because and because. I am surprised America is slow to catch up. where is CNN NBC ect. Maybe THEY ARE busy promoting PSY.
really i-fans really JYJ fans, really how can we let CNN NOTICE JYJ and XIA’s blacklist case.How many letters would CNN recieve from JYJ fans?
@BAF
I’d like to start a petition that we could all promote as many places as we know. I’d like to suggest a boycott of SM, their acts and their products until they settle with JYJ, end the lawsuit and end the blacklisting inside SK.
I spent all day yesterday composing and sending off emails to as many places and people as I could think of. I very much admire the American investigative journalist Matt Taibbi’s work and sent him a longish tweet yesterday asking him to look into the state if the music business in SK as it impacts JYJ.
Yes, I agree with Daisy’s remark, paraphrasing her that ‘these 3 spoiled rich pop stars JYJ’ would probably not gain much traction as far as being the subjects for a story on CNN’s Freedom Project but I would suggest to you all that this is the very attitude that we are up against and fighting tooth and nail in getting anyone’s attention and action in terms of helping promote JYJ’s plight and in getting help and someone in authority to intervene on their behalf. JYJ are perceived as luckier and more fortunate than almost anyone in SK — why should anyone care if they have it tough; why should anyone get involved in trying to help them? THIS is our essential problem. So we need to frame our petition/letters/statements in such a way as to refute this underlying prejudice against the handsome, wealthy celebrities JYJ. Because I think what’s wrong in SK is its music business, which has inherently unfair entertainment companies forming cartels, colluding to control their artists and acting utterly lawlessly, like the mafia. JYJ, as talented as they are, have found themselves in a fight for any hope of future careers with perhaps the worst one of these entertainment companies, SM. What routinely goes on within these companies, how they treat their young artists and how they are currently making an example of JYJ — that’s the story we need to put forward. And then we must ask right-thinking, fair-minded people to join with us to end this lawsuit.
Does the fandom have a leader? I kind of feel the i-fans are not organized nor lead. If the fandom plans to contact CNN please think to group and participate in editing a united letter. point out points to include and when you agree on the letter send it out. Its just my opinion but i do not think its wise to send CNN Asian report nor CNN Entertainment. I want it international and long as possible news repor. To me i prefer fans send the CNN Freedom Project. Its just an opinion. I’m not part of the fandom. So its really not up to me what the fandom does. But an advice wouldnt hurt would it. Well bye bye. Please dont reply to me just use the link and advice if you find any use for them for the boys sake.
I came to Xia Concert in Jakarta. I also saw all fancams I could find on YT for every stops in Xia’s tour. I’m enjoying Junsu’s performance. He’s charismatic, energetic, happy and enjoying every stop in his tour.
I didn’t see him being worried or nervous. So confident on stage. Knowing that Mexican staff reported that actually Junsu was so worried and nervous and concerned for his fans, I felt I want to hug him. That he didn’t want to start the concert after make sure every fan has entered.
I’m glad the staff catered his every worry and assured him that the fans loved him so much. He missed his hyungs very much too.
This is the staff account:

@dolphinxiah
Thanks for posting the info from the Mexico performance. It’s good to see how Junsu was able to absorb the atmosphere and culture of a place where he has never been before. So glad the fans in Mexico persevered and worked hard to get him there. Next up…JYJ group appearance!
