The advertising photo shoot of male group JYJ (Kim Jaejoong, Park Yoochun, Kim Junsu) was unveiled.
JYJ, who recently became exclusive models of global brand Tony Moly, had their first ad filmed in a studio located in Nonhyeon-dong, Seoul.
On the morning of the 21st, advertising photos of JYJ members are stylish and has a charismatic appearance. In addition to this, JYJ have a distinctive look, soft feeling and warm sensibility that exudes charm and variety.
Tony Moly marketing headquarters managing director Kim SeungChul said, “JYJ’s professional and active cooperation led to an amicable ad shoot”, and “the new ads with our gorgeous models who are trendy and has cosmopolitan flair, I am expecting, will appeal to the global image of Tony Moly”, he revealed
JYJ will begin shooting this ad as a model for the entire Asia region (excluding Japan) and a variety of activities is expected to continue.

I know that there is deep-seated conflict between many of the countries in Asia so then why should an idol group have to suffer or “exclude” a certain country as if that is going to fix the behemoth of problems occuring at the moment?
Recently a famous Mexican singer, (well respected in Latin America) Vicente Fernandez, visited Venezuelan president (or dictator, take your pick) before staging a concert in the city of Caracas. Chavez honored him with the Order of the Liberator, the highest honor that can be given to a non-citizen. Fernandez graciously accepted and his Venezuelan fans got to enjoy him for a while. I would say that this “soft power” is far more helpful to the people than the dumb and racist games politicians play. Many of the countries that condemn Japan also have done their fair share of abuse of human rights. The cultural sharing that goes on between people of different countries does more to build tolerance and understanding than this “exclude Japan” crap. That is not going to solve anything.
Now I’m sure “Tony Moly” have their Japanese models and hence why JYJ were not signed on for Japan but it saddens me that human hatred and ignorance could have played a part as well. It really is a conflicting feeling because I know this isn’t right and yet JYJ have so much crap to deal with that I wouldn’t want this added to the plate as well.

Unfortunately the issues of geo-politics goes around the whole world. I’m sure part of the situation with Vicente Fernandez, is that most Spanish speaking countries are not as anal about things like this. At least to my observation. The language and culture is much more shared. The possible exception are the Cubans in Miami vs. Castro.
