Congrats Junsu! Does anyone know how is this musical awards different from the one he attended earlier in June? And I’m curious how is it he is not nominated for Most Popular award, when his ticket sales have been record-breaking?
From what i know, these two awards held by two different constitutions, the one in June was the 6th year while this one already the 18th, so this one has ran longer. About the prestige though, i am not quite sure, at first i presumed this one is more prestigious since it has lasted longer and while the one in June was aired in cabel TV, this one usually aired in KBS, but i am not sure.
Thanks for the reply! I guess both awards have their own significance in the history of korean musicals. I read that the 6th musical awards in June is like Korea’s Tony Awards, so that says something.

Now, when i look at the nomination this time compare to the award last June, it is quite different. It is because Story of Two City, La Cage, and Man la Mancha was performed after the last award. For best actor’s nomination, the only actor who still going strong and managed to be nominated again is Junsu and Cho Seung Wo, even Park Gun Hyung is “eliminated”… perhaps, i am just too easily satisfied when it cames to Junsu, haha… but that fact alone makes me happy
Is my deduction right though? CCMIW i dont know much about Korean musical.
He’s fabulous. I know he’s killing it in musicals, but I hope he will consider making a few movies to expand his recognition, like JJ and Chunnie.
eeps. before moving to movies, he need to sharpen his acting skills. i hope he stays in music and musical industries only, but junsu himself said he wishes to challenge acting too someday.. so i hope he choose well.
Congrats dear Junsu!! I really admire our JYJ boys, as they have shown to the world again they can be good actors besides being professional singers/composers/artist. This year they are taking a lot of awards for acting. So proud and happy for JaeChunSu. Never before you see all members in a group nominated for best actor or popular actors or artist EXCEPT for JYJ. All their hardwork paid off. Keep up the good work guys? Love you all. Fighting!

Good luck, Junsu! We’ll cheer you on! It’ll be awesome if he wins Best actor award, but he must also keep in mind not to be discouraged even if he doesn’t get the trophy. Being nominated is already an honor, a recognition. JYJ are just so talented and full of capabilities. When they put their minds and hearts into doing something, they’ll most certainly gain success and acknowledgement.
