[TRANS/NEWS] 121010 Apology from Kyeongki-do National Para Games to JYJ’s Junsu and his fans (Updated!)

October 9, 2012 · rilanna

We deeply apologize.

As the party in charge of the 32nd National Para Games opening ceremony on Oct 8, we sincerely apologize to everyone for not running the event smoothly, for the inconveniences caused by time delay, order maintenance and many other concerns.

In addition, we apologize once again to many people from all over the country who came here since early in the morning including Kim Junsu(XIA).

We will thoughtfully reflect so that such incident will never occur again in the future.

Next, we are going to explain the matter related to JYJ Kim Junsu(XIA).

Since the beginning, while putting our heart and soul in reviewing which singer would perform the last stage (finale) through live radio broadcast and other medias, we took into account many aspects such as popularity and reputation and decided to choose Kim Junsu (XIA) so we directly negotiated with his agency CJES and not long before the event, CJES agency difficultly decided on the final performance for this meaningful event of Para Games.

During the negotiating process, we looked through many different plans which could brighten the meaning of this festival with JYJ Kim Junsu(XIA)’s agency. While deliberating, we discussed about the meaning and purpose of this opening ceremony and also sent them the agenda of the event and settled on the performance through mutual deliberation.

Furthermore, after finishing enough consultations about the ceremony program during the deliberating process, we received the music for his performance 2 days before the event and we worked on the lighting memory settings, VJ video through many aspects in order to enhance the quality of performance. The whole system for lighting, sound effects, camera etc was run until the finale stage.

About the method of introducing Kim Junsu(XIA) on stage after concluding the live broadcast, we have mutually deliberated on the method and words in the introduction with his agency 2 days before the event. We have deliberated with them that after the closing ment for live radio broadcast, MC for the live broadcast Kim Changryul would stay on stage and introduce, even the timing to appear on stage were discussed before Kim Junsu(XIA) performed the finale stage.

In addition, since there was not much time left before the event, the promotional materials were made accordingly to the performances what were confirmed at that point so we initially excluded his name on the promotional materials but later we quickly produced the promotional materials as well as banners etc.

Also, after concluding the post-ceremony event, due to the departure of important guests, there were many empty seats left and we couldn’t foresee that it would cause such chaotic situation so we apologize for causing inconveniences to people who came early.

About the security company, we have warned and asked the security company for the event to politely apologize to the representatives.
Also, the scene where cameras were packed away that many spectators have seen was because the broadcast station in charge KBS decided to move their cameras after the official ceremony has ended (KBS only filmed the official ceremony).

We have filmed the entire celebration event and didn’t leave out any single scene including Kim Junsu(XIA)’s performance.

However, we apologize once again for not informing the entire situation in detail, and these matters can also be confirmed by CJES agency.
We would like to thank CJES agency and Kim Junsu(XIA) who took interest and participated in Para Games despite of busy schedules.

Anyway, as the main party in charge, we sincerely apologize to everyone participated in the event for the inconveniences we caused.

Note: maybe readers will get a somewhat clearer understanding from this article instead (if the above one is still confusing people)

The National Para Games apologizes to JYJ’s Junsu and his fans

The National Para Games Group has posted an apology on their website to apologize to JYJ’s Junsu and his fans.

On October 8th, Junsu was set to perform as the finale stage at the opening of the 32nd National Para Games – Gyeonggi Province. However, many fans had problems with Junsu’s final stage, starting from the lighting of the stage up to the way his stage was filmed. To answer the fans rising anger, presumably, the chief officer of the National Para Games uploaded the following apology.

I’m very sorry.

As the chief officer, I apologize to everyone for not handling the 32nd National Para Games’ opening ceremony on October 8th with ease, causing concerns in delay and order maintenance.

Also, I apologize to Kim Junsu (XIA) and all the fans that came from all over the world early in the morning.

I will reflect on this and make sure nothing like this ever happens again.

I will give you an explanation pertaining to JYJ’s Kim Junsu (XIA).
Unaffiliated with the radio broadcasting, from the beginning we chose Kim Junsu (XIA) as the artist that would decorate the ending (finale) stage because he is popular and famous, we directly recruited him from his label C-JES. His label C-JES made a difficult decision in letting him appear even though there was short notice before the event because the Para Games was a meaningful event.

During the recruitment process, we recruited JYJ’s Kim Junsu (XIA) from his label CJES through various steps in event planning. During the recruitment process, we confirmed his attendance by sending him information on the meaning and purpose of the Games, as well as the event schedule, and came to a mutual agreement. Also, we reached an adequate agreement about the opening program while we were discussing his recruitment. Two days before the concert, we received his performance music to heighten the quality of the performance. We set up the spotlight memory settings and VJ video separately, and took the lighting, sound, camera, and all other systems to the finale stage.

On introducing Kim Junsu (XIA), the label agreed two days prior to the event that following the live broadcast, Kim Junsu (XIA) would be introduced after the closing ment live radio broadcast, and Kim Chang Ryul would introduce him as the broadcast MC. Before Kim Junsu’s final stage, the contents were agreed with the label on the point of when he would appear on the stage.

On the promotional items, his recruitment was not confirmed until there was only a short period of time left before the event, so his name was not included in the original promotional material. However, later promotional material and cards were created with his inclusion. After the conclusion of the after-meal event, after the departure of the main guests, there were many empty seats remaining, causing a bit of chaos. I apologize for not thinking that such a situation could occur, and apologize for causing discomfort to the guests. I have warned the security team to sincerely apologize to the CEO. I believe that the camera cleaning scenes that some guests saw was because the KBS team moved their cameras after the main event (KBS only filmed the main event). The celebratory event was filmed by us, and I will tell you that we did not miss any footage up to the very end, including Kim Junsu (XIA).

However, I apologize again for not giving detailed information on the entire situation. You may corroborate this information with the C-JES label. I thank C-JES and Kim Junsu (XIA) for attending the Para Games with meaning and interest even with their busy schedules, and I am very sorry to have caused a disturbance to everyone who participated in the event.

However, the apology seemed to anger fans even more. Many fans wondered if the apology was really from the head officer, as it was uploaded onto a free board where anyone could write, and also could easily get lost. Some fans even pointed out that C-JES was not a label, but an agency, and demanded a more proper apology. Many international fans flocked to the website in support of Junsu as well.

Me neither. I can’t make sense of this apology. Bottom line is Junsu’s performance was not broadcasted. Fans can’t just let this pass, especially those who attended the performance. Censoring, is censoring how can you explain that away?

Station was KBullShit? Even the apology is so going multiple meaning, does it mean they plan to treat him this way? Another apology without sincerity. What they did to Js is pure disrespect. para games aid has dark heart like that I feel sorry for Paralympic athletes.

Agree totally. They need to apologize for disrespecting such a great artist..
How about apologizing for turning down the lights just as Junsu goes on stage?
I can understand that KBS’s decision to pull cameras was out of their control, but the staging was under their control, so the fault lies with them and no one else.

Ah so its the KingofBullShit again? Seriously they never fail to disappoint me. I wouldn’t be surprise anymore if the SuckMoronEntity is again behind all this! Apologize? Com’on, its like slapping people in the face is okay if you will just say sorry afterwards.

Im also seeing the words ‘MUTUALLY DELIBERATED’ being highlighted in this apology.
It makes it feel like they don’t want to fully own up to what happened at the event & using words to jumble up other people into it!

if it was indeed “MUTUALLY DELIBERATED” – then our Junsu would’ve known about it & have been ok.
But clearly he didnt so…. idk what this “MUTUALLY DELIBERATED” stuff is that they’re talking about….

The only recourse for redress forthe para committee is to broadcast the film that include junsu performance. Will they do it?The world is watching earnestly. Make the film public then as evidence.

So right! Then turn down the lights and left him to perform in near darkness!!! No! This so-called apology is nothing more than a half-a@@ed sloppy mop up job to cover their @$$e$, before an international audience! Now they want to cast some of the blame back onto Cjes…THIS IS DESPICABLE!!!

    October 9, 2012 Reply

tch, it may be an apology but it’s not sufficient enough for KBS to have left Junsu out!! KBS needs to give a good reason for not filming Junsu! All performers should be recorded, whether the ending statement was said or not. Hey, sometimes artists perform after the closing statement, it’s happened before!

  11. Amalia

heck, this doesn’t even sound like a truly apologetic statement. They’re just going like, “this happened because of this, so don’t be mad guys!”

This apology is no apology at all. It’s just lip service because they probably received thousands of complaints and felt it necessary to say something in order to save face.
But look at how their “apology” is worded. They make it seem like CJes is at fault.

Obviously they have to negotiate with all agencies for the various artists they had booked.
If Junsu was not confirmed till 2 days before the event, why put him on the posters in the first place only to take him out, then put him back in again? Even with 2 days notice, his fans would have moved through heaven and earth to see him perform.
Plus, 2 days is plenty of time to work out with their “professional” MCs, lighting, sound, etc in order to give Junsu the best stage possible as their closing and most established act. Let’s face it, nothing against the other acts, but it was Junsu’s appearance that drew a majority of the fans in the first place.

This is a *uking joke. :’( This isn’t an apology, it’s a list of excuses, including hinting that C-Jes is at fault. They should’ve just stayed silent rather than release this message where they do not properly take responsibility for this mess up!! :( Imagine if someone did this to Homin or ANY of SM’s current groups? What do you think they would do? Boycott the company and sue them for everything. They wouldn’t dare do this to SM because of corrption and fear of boycotts from SM’s popular kpop groups. Unfair doesn’t even begin to cover this. It’s just disgusting treatment of a group of hard-working individuals, both Junsu and his back up dancers and team, who are trying their best to perform for their fans.

      @charlieparrot9
Yes. This Kyeongki-do National Para Games aid group, instead sticking on being neutral, keep pressing Junsu to COMPROMISE with more harsh terms & conditions. This is what i have read from the so called apology.

  17. Bonnie Lou (@BonnieLou8)
    October 9, 2012 Reply

First of all, we don’t have to vote up for this article, people!

Secondly, if all is, as they say, pre-arranged with Cjes and Xiah, relative to Xiah knowing the broadcast would end, then he would be announced afterwards, separately…….then why did Xiah not make this clear yesterday. There is something missing. And Xiah’s Mom tweeting the family’s heartfelt thanks to fans today, for supporting Xiah in a hard situation…..I would love to have a reliabe translation of her tweets from earlier today…..they certainly portrayed some distress…..

I think we have to wait for a response from an official response from Cjes and Xiah, to know more.

The poster drastic change left us big joke.
And yes, after balancing all testimonies, can have fair picture.
However, the very beginning this AID GROUP make use of Junsu to attract more audience, is a misleading behavior.

Don’t forget fans waiting all night besides TV, and waiting at twitter, weibo, facebook for whole night. I can’t imagine how many TV commercials are there too. This is complicated.

What kind of apology is this? I don’t understand their words at all!!!

you said you prepare everything properly for him until the end? so can you explain the difference between ZE:A’s stage lighting and Junsu’s? why Junsu’s was so dark like that!!

you think fangirls are stupid? WTF!!!!

  19. *Angel*
    October 9, 2012 Reply

Definition of “apology”: a regretful acknowledgment of an offense or failure.

I barely saw any ACKNOWLEDGMENTS of offenses or failures in this letter.
And if they did, they were quick to point out other factors such as time delays, order maintenance…etc.

I felt as if the company sent this out to “attempt to calm the fans” & to “save their face”.

    Well, I think that backfired…..
    Karma’s a b * t * h… (if you get what im saying).

“the scene where cameras were packed away that many spectators have seen was because the broadcast station in charge KBS decided to move their cameras after the official ceremony has ended (KBS only filmed the official ceremony).” So ZE:A’s and other groups performances were part of the official ceremony but not Xia’s? That’s what they are saying!

I agree with you on this matter. Why the rest of the performance can be recorded and not Xia. For me, I am not interested in the explanation on how the negotiation and the preparation is done between the organiser and CJes because this is their internal problems which they will have to buck up .It is the part of the KBS camera crew not recording till the end that angers me. It is so obvious. They could have just recorded it and edit it out later instead of playing double standard . Can you image, even Xia’s US friends can see how bad JYJ or Xia is being treated in Korea…

I am confused about a couple of things,
“we worked on the lighting memory settings, VJ video through many aspects in order to enhance the quality of performance. The whole system for lighting, sound effects, camera etc was run until the finale stage.” BUT IT WAS DARK.

“About the method of introducing Kim Junsu(XIA) on stage after concluding the live broadcast, MC for the live broadcast Kim Changryul would stay on stage and introduce, even the timing to appear on stage were discussed before Kim Junsu(XIA) performed the finale stage.” NO ONE INTRODUCED JUNSU AND I DOUBT HIM KNOWING ABOUT THE “CONCLUDING THE LIVE BROADCAST”

“Also, after concluding the post-ceremony event, due to the departure of important guests, there were many empty seats left and we couldn’t foresee that it would cause such chaotic situation so we apologize for causing inconveniences to people who came early.” WHAT WAS THIS ABOUT??????????????????

“Also, the scene where cameras were packed away that many spectators have seen was because the broadcast station in charge KBS decided to move their cameras after the official ceremony has ended (KBS only filmed the official ceremony).” WAS IT KBS OR SBS?????????????????????? BZ I AM REPORTING SBS FACEBOOK PAGE AND I AM COLLECTING SUPPORTERS FOR THAT…WE WOULD LOOK DUMB IF IT WASN’t SBS

This is not an apology… they are trying to save face… well I think the complaints should keep coming to their website, this is unforgiveable… it must stop and we cannot accept their lies anymore!!!

They wil never show the supposedly taped Junsu parts… they probably mean a piece of the film where they show Junsu in the background or arriving to the venue.

I am totally boycotting any shows that have SM entertainers in them I mean dramas especially! I will never purchase any more dramas with either of SBS or KBS (only JYJ drama) They need a taste of their own medicine… hit them where it hurts.. their wallets.

So how can you put the name & pic of a singer you didn’t get confirmation from his agency on your official tickets on 2 Oct If you said you got confirmation just 2 days before the show???

How about getting the video you claim to have of Junsu performing broadcast on a major network? How about letting actions speak of your sincerity, cause your words are beyond lacking.

SO by this line “We have filmed the entire celebration event and didn’t leave out any single scene including Kim Junsu(XIA)’s performance.” Do they plan on selling a DVD with Junsu’s performance? Did they leave out his talk to the audience when Junsu was in the dark talking. Maybe this is why they are doing the apology. Well sorry but I would not give them my money.

No shit, an apology! Do they think that we’re stupid and will just swallow up their lame excuses? They go a big round, but what I deduce from this is that they don’t want to take responsibility and basically deny that they have wronged Junsu. They even hint that it was CJES’ fault for being “difficult.” What was actually happening is very different from what they conjured up in this so-called apology. “Also, the scene where cameras were packed away that many spectators have seen was because the broadcast station in charge KBS decided to move their cameras after the official ceremony has ended” – what was the time frame for the official ceremony? What was included in it? As far as we know, they cut off broadcast right after ZE:A’s performance, are they saying that only Junsu wasn’t included in the official ceremony? Try as they may, but we will never forget nor forgive how they treated Junsu this time.

@CassXiaAn Thanks for the link. I wrote in my protest and did not mince words. It was heartening to notice that many supporters of Junsu have already written in to express their outrage. No wonder they issued a statement ( I wouldn’t call it an apology) to try an cover their asses. It is really shocking that a national organization like that will try to deceive the public in such a manner. It is really sad too because those who are handicapped already face so many obstacles in life. And here an organization that is supposed to represent them acts in such a shameful, underhanded manner, and then tries to excuse themselves … Fans of Junsu must take this opportunity to protest on his behalf. These folks must realize that South Korea’s image gets tarnished each time they pull such dirty tactics.

Can someone please, please explain some things to me because I am confused now?:

“Also, after concluding the post-ceremony event, due to the departure of important guests, there were many empty seats left and we couldn’t foresee that it would cause such chaotic situation so we apologize for causing inconveniences to people who came early.”

*******What are they talking about in the above statement?

About the security company, we have warned and asked the security company for the event to politely apologize to the representatives. Also, the scene where cameras were packed away that many spectators have seen was because the broadcast station in charge KBS decided to move their cameras after the official ceremony has ended (KBS only filmed the official ceremony).

*********Did Junsu and the other artists perform before the games or after the games?
*********So did KBS or SBS whoever only film the games and not the performances by the other artists including Junsu? I do not understand what they mean that KBS only filmed the official ceremony! I understood that they was to film and broadcast the entire event the games and performances!

We have filmed the entire celebration event and didn’t leave out any single scene including Kim Junsu(XIA)’s performance.

**********So does this mean KBS or SBS only filmed the games and they filmed the performances including Junsu? If this is true then what are they going to do with the film?

This is definitely a BS excuse that want fly with anyone!!! They make it sound like they had come to an agreement with Junsu and CJes that Junsu was not going to appear on tv. That Junsu knew he was not going to appear on tv! This makes know sense to me. Why would he react the way he did if he knew he was not going to appear on tv. They are liars!!!!

      @ flower
I’ll try and clarify some of your questions, as per my understanding based on the so called ” letter of apology (LOA)”,
Junsu’s, his brother’s and mum’s tweets as translated (I don’t read Korean)…and my understanding of
sports events like the Olympics. The opening ceremony consists of performances and speeches ..
1.In this case after the ceremony was declared officially opened, I got the impression that the guests of honor went for refreshments but did not returned to their seats and watched the rest of the performance (perhaps went home). Hence the empty seats , which must have caused lots of unhappiness to people who are not allowed by the security to occupy these seats despite being early for the event (hence the security co.issue) This is what I deduced from this statement
” After the conclusion of the after-meal event, after the departure of the main guests, there were many empty seats remaining, causing a bit of chaos. I apologize for not thinking that such a situation could occur, and apologize for causing discomfort to the guests. I have warned the security team to sincerely apologize to the CEO”

2.KBS did the live broadcast for the official opening ceremony and according to the so called “LOA”
Junsu’s performance as claimed, was not part of the live broadcast by KBS as mentioned here “in introducing Kim Junsu (XIA), the label (Cjes) agreed two days prior to the event that following the live broadcast, Kim Junsu (XIA) would be introduced after the closing ment live radio broadcast” This implies that it is in agreement with Cjes, but bewildered us coz of the tweets….
Accordingly, the whole ceremony and performances were recorded by the Para Games Committee.

3.Based on this so called LOA :
They still did not explain why did the MC introduced ZE:A as the last performance when they clearly know that Junsu is the last as “from the beginning we chose Kim Junsu (XIA) as the artist that would decorate the ending (finale) stage because he is popular and famous, we directly recruited him from his label C-JES.
and they already had the confirmation 2 days prior, about Junsu’s attendance..
Is the MC blind and deaf that he didn’t see Junsu & team waiting to perform that he introduced ZE;A as the last act??
      Ofc they did it intentionally!!!

Even if Junsu’s performance was not part of the live broadcast, couldn’t they take off the cameras etc,,after his performance,.. which was just after ZE:A….Ofc we know that they intend to humiliate him!!!

The tweets and reaction from Junsu, mum & fans seemed bewildering….

I am very interested to hear a statement/anything about this from Cjes
I really want to watch the video of the whole ceremony from A to Z.. in entirety.
I don’t buy this excuse of an apology!!!

This is the most long-winded utterly nonsensical “apology” I’ve ever seen. Half of these statements are outright lies. They just proved what kind of people they are. If they wanted to attract an audience so badly then they could have picked an SME artist to fill out the seats instead of Junsu only to disrespect him and the fans once they served their “purpose”. Bet you KBS would have stayed to the end for one of them. Tools. Blame whoever you like and shove that “apology” where the sun don’t shine!

In America, this would have been in the courts. The damage has been done, a simple apology in words that makes no sense is unacceptable.
Pardon my words but incompetent people should not be working on big events like the Para Games. Such events are planned and executed several months to a year ahead. Finalization of program and communication with said participants only weeks prior to show date is no excuse.
If you really mean to apologize, don’t blame others for your shortcomings. Apologize through broadcast.

    CJes, is this true ?

    • retrokim
      October 9, 2012 Reply

That is clearly a lie. Junsu would have been informed beforehand if his performance was not going to be broadcast. They also lied about the time frame. First he said that they approached CJeS and made an agreement about Junsu’s part in the event as well as having all the lights and equipment ready but then he turns around and says they had very short time and couldn’t get everything done. Which is it then? Did they have everything planned or did they add Junsu at the last minute? Also if they had indeed had all the equipment ready then Junsu and his dancers would not have had to perform in the dark. He is so full of shit.

Then he adds that MC “Kim Chang Ryul” (way to throw him under the bus but not your precious CEO right?) knew he had to announce Junsu but clearly he only announced ZEA and then left the stage. So someone here is clearly lying. My “educated” guess? Chief officer jackass who happily gave the MC’s name but not his.

hi, this is a trap for young artists like JYJ & smaller agency companies like Cjes.

Yes, we knew Cjes is a bit slower , HOWEVER, this “apology” , highlight that 2 days before Junsu & agency knew the arrangement.

Result :Junsu will be scapegoat anyway.

      1. Tickets were sold OUT NOT 2 days before, IF Junsu not satisfied with the discrimination, and refuse to perform—-death sentence by Korea mass media.

      2. If Junsu pity the fans , and ask them NOT to go
to Para game, such a “selfish” behaviour —-death sentence by Korea mass media.

      3. Junsu want to fulfill his national duty ( he got some many public duties on him), ok swallow and compromise to ALL new harsh term, but to his surprise, a Para Game is two hours more overrun at nigh, at a remote city north part Seoul. He began singing after 23:40 , how many young fans arrived home late in 03:00 ?

      4. Junsu’s part should be the peak time performance, due to extreme overrun , he started around 23:30, after attendee naturally need to go home , holy sake it takes 3 hours to back to Seoul, and many fans live more remote. ( this was same for SM in Taiwan tour, a very remote open stadium performance , left all fans strolling on street at night due to no
      transportation during night time) .

**This is a sports day, for the disability sportsman, helpers, audience, it was not a night clubbing event.

If Junsu grumbled —–death sentence by Korea mass media.

Korea is full of ” I tell you this , you have to accept by all means ” culture.

Junsu just returned from worldwide concert, busy for Jeju island fan meeting, and Korea 3 days public holiday. Don’t persuade me all parties doing their job securely.

Dont try to persuade me sending out an email, text a message = get the receiver approval or agreement.

Para Game takes years to prepare, you just gave 2 days, ( exclude non-office hour ) , which were only less than 16 hours for Cjes to access the situation and accept ever changing terms & conditions ?

** Normal company in-coming files will take at least 5 days as turn-around-clock service pledge. These kind of event involve lots of hard copies of document, material, co-ordination, and cannot communicate merely by email.

Fans in logistics supply, fashion , medical all understand, we need actual samples to access.

Thus, let not push Junsu and Cjes into this trap. Whatever they do in advance, are the scapegoat.

          @Jolo
hi, knowing your concern. However, at this moment is not suitable to ask Cjes to voice up.
During a silent negotiation , ( as public opinion snowballing for JYJ), it is dangerous to have Cjes speak up anything.

****Battle of Public Relation is going on.*** And Cjes as a behind agency, has little to ” express “.
Need to have all parties / organizer rrunning this event to speak up . Instead of Cjes this time.

This time, not a concert run by Cjes, it has the least to say.
          ( just my opinion)

You know I’m not trying to put CJes at fault here, I just want it to fight back for Junsu. If CJes and Junsu didn’t know beforehand that his performance was to be excluded from the live broadcast, can’t they sue the organizer? that was gross humiliation, packing up the cameras when he was about to perform. But if they already knew that exclusion but was just trapped by the conditions you mentioned above, they that’s another story…

        • jaechun
          October 10, 2012

I agree with you , but thinking about it why would you want to sue when your main lawsuit is being taken as a joke by the courts. Even so if c-jes/junsu knew that there was a possibly he would not be broadcasted it is still not right how they did everything.

          @kris,
I understand your sincerity, really no problem.
And about even the ” box was opened” before hand, It is a big dilemma for Cjes.

a)SBS got too many major programs on hands, including Jae’s noona JH ‘ “Running Man.”
After a days analysis on ” overall l benefit ” , kris , you know, Junsu HAS to be” patient “one more time.
It is a disaster if hyung’s & nuna’s new release being boycott. ( hope you understand, i can illustrate further, it is not suitable time)

b)And after Chuseok 3 days holidays, things-to-be-done surely turn very messy, ( my friends had been on projects like this kind before)

c)And today, another updated ” apology ” appeared in Allkpop, (damx it ), everybody knows it is working engines for SM ,YG , JYP a few popular artists , major tv station ONLY.

d)The most ironic trump card allkop throw out today, is the Rank #1 news is ” SBS – Running Man rescue wonder girls from hurting”.
Total images rescue & strong signal. A national wide interested MATTER.

Even Moon Geun Young’s come back, she SURPRISED the mass media by pinning the SBS running man cloth with her name to her cocktail dress at 17th BIFF . This is, the reason why….

    1. When they say KBS only filmed the main event was that the para games only? So therefore KBS did not film any aritst performance and they did nothing wrong in not filming Junsu’s performance. BS all lies!!!!!!!!!!!!

    2. So did all the artists perform after the para games were over or before?

    3. What do they mean by the statement below? What is the point of saying there were many empty seats remaining. What type of chaos could this have caused?

“.After the conclusion of the after-meal event, after the departure of the main guests, there were many empty seats remaining, causing a bit of chaos. I apologize for not thinking that such a situation could occur, and apologize for causing discomfort to the guests. ”

But, no, wait, I seem to register the impression that you are shifting the responsibility to Junsu’s agency for last minute negotiations and approval. Not likely. I don’t know about you but I hardly believe that this kind of careless conduct should be carried out in the treatment of a world-class star from where I live. Oh, they apologized. They are such caring, good people. All I need to do now is to accept the apology and move on. After, they took the time to give me a very detailed description of “what really happened.” Are they out of their fucking minds? Do they think that just because a chief officer came out and apologized than I can take their word for? As far as I know everything that they did to JunSu was planned out in the smallest detail: how they are going to use his fame to attract audience, how are they going to play by the rules of SM snakes, how are they going to not broadcast JunSu, who, what, when, and how they are going to apologize. As far as I know, the apology letter was already written at the time of the event. I am done accepting apologies and excuses. The only apology that will satisfy me is to see the chief officer resign, have the tape of JunSu’s recording broadcasted, and have the abuse against JYJ stop. What kind of country is this? What part of these boys didn’t do anything wrong to anyone, don’t these idiots understand? How the fuck do they rationalize what they are doing to these young men? The only conclusion in my small mind is that the entire fabric of the society is corrupted and everyone is blackmailed into doing such henuous acts. Arghhhhhhhhh!

I actually hate South Korea, but why do I so love JYJ???, countries that are too rigid and young people should always be subject to the older generation, corruption, nepotism, collusion, assuming they have already conquered the world with their superior products such as electronic equipment, KPOP, Korean dramas, and so on.

I know personally that there are many good Korean in that country. But as a whole nation, their mentality is disgusting. They have strong tendency to cook up their fake beauty points and to diminish others but I have to point it out that their nation must have underlying problems in education, mass communication media or maybe politics. Some one or nation must teach them once for their own future.

why fellow Korean artists never made a movement to defend JYJ, blatant they are victims of injustice? where their sense of caring? Do celebrities are just people who are selfish, do not care about the social issues around it? also why JYJ fans in South Korea did not hire an investigator to investigate the bad side of the SME, then mobilize mass demonstrations to stop this injustice?

Please bear with me while I vent: Whoever wrote this “apology” apparently took a page out of the broadcasting stations’ book on “How to write a murky, nonsensical statement”. You (Kyeongki-do National Para Games) state that you specifically selected Junsu to be the closing act to your ceremony, which makes it seem like his performance is going to be an event highlight; a performance that you would want to ensure went well. You say that you worked out the technicalities of the performance (music, lights, camera, etc…) and you “deliberated” with CJeS and Junsu regarding the schedule/performance taking place after the live broadcast. For the all the preparation and “deliberations” you had, why in the world was Junsu performance handled so poorly, it’s almost as if you forgot he was there? And if Junsu knew about the non-broadcast, then why the tweets? (rhetorical questions of course)

This is no apology, it’s sorry, unintelligible excuses – Instead of an explanation, they threw the blame everywhere else. The level of disrespect shown is unbelievable – Junsu is a human being and as such deserves to be treated with dignity. You tarnished a well-meaning and inspiring event with your foolishness.

So many words but so empty of truth within.
An apology with no heart nor sincerity is completely meaningless and rings hollow. In fact, judging from all the accusatory finger-pointing going on in this letter, I’m appreciating it more as an blame-letter.

The word “deliberated” is repeated throughout this sad excuse of an official apology from a supposedly professional organization.
Such irony in choice of words—-if nothing else, this travesty IS deliberate and and for such an accident to manifest at this level involving so many parties, I do agree that it must have been much “deliberated” upon.

Some fans lamented that Junsu (and his dancers) were “humiliated”.
I humbly beg to differ—-Any shame reflected is ALL on the organizer and other guilty parties involved; Junsu (and his dancers”
    absolutely SHONE in my book.
Yes, I feel hurt on the latters’ behalf but instead of being depressed by this incident (which will serve little purpose anyway), I simply moved up my plan to purchase the Xia concert dvd instead (and also bought an extra copy to share with friends/family). SO THERE.

Even a child knows how to apologize. My three-year-old son will soon apologize sincerely after making a mistake and he’ll kiss and hug his ‘victim’. However, dealing with Para Games, at national level, such ‘apology’ is the biggest joke. That’s right. ONLY LIP SERVICE. To satisfy JYJ’s fans and also to keep the organizer’s image clean. After JYJ’s case has not been resolved yet, I start to think how clever and evil SoMeonE entertainment is. They make use of demand-supply theory. SoMeonE entertainment does really want to lengthen JYJ’s misery for unlimited time so that the fans of JYJ demand more. The fans will also drive crazy, thirsty, and hungry of seeing JYJ on TV stations and hearing JYJ in radio stations. Loyal fans (esp. in South Korea) will spend their money soon there is an announcement of JYJ’s participation in public’s or government’s ceremonies. Just as happened to Junsu, fans went to the venue of Para Games only to watch Junsu alive. The organizers get the cash from this fans. Look at what happened to Junsu and consider how the organizer threated Junsu and his dancers. Very ironic. Hence, I really think that SoMeonE entertainment enjoys such condition, for I believe that some amount of the money also flows to SoMeonE entertainment’s pocket because you know, SoMeonE entertainment is like a godfather/ mafia in South Korean’s entertainment industry.
Poor JYJ, in such condition. But their hearts seem like made of pure gold, clean and shiny. No matter people treat them, they try to smile, perform the best, and not to make fans disappointed. Be strong JYJ. Your fans are working hard to help you pass the difficult situation. May God’s miracle will help us. Amen. :)

This apology reminds me of Jeju Island’s apology – “we weren’t in charge of the broadcast, it was KBS” – not owning up to the fact that they were in charge of the program and failed to treat Junsu respectfully. And what kind of apology is this – we are sorry, but it wasn’t our fault- CJeS agreed to it, they knew in advance, the security co. should apologize, we recorded his performance ourselves. Where in there is the admission that they mistreated him and failed to stand up to the broadcast co. to protect him.

They could have kept that apology. No matter what they say about music or anything, they knew in advance he was coming. To not have the stage lit properly is inexcusable. To announce the last act and not have it be the last act is shady. Why didn’t they have him perform earlier and just edited that out for broadcast. There is no point to have him go last if he was not closing the show on tv. They were being really stupid to not foresee how this would look not only to the fans there but people watching on television who are tuning in for Junsu.

“.After the conclusion of the after-meal event, after the departure of the main guests, there were many empty seats remaining, causing a bit of chaos. I apologize for not thinking that such a situation could occur, and apologize for causing discomfort to the guests. ”

To me they are saying CJES and Junsu are at faught. They are liars!!!!

      @flower,
understand your feeling with this annoying apology through the lines . Suggest let’s it go a few day, following these paths is can be diverting to nowhere .

Probably there will be a dramatic good news for Junsu. This is my own speculation.

For your question about the empty seats… I am thinking (I may be wrong) that they are trying to say that since people noticed all the empty seats the people with cameras and MC and other staff and maybe attendees thought that the show was over. They are trying to place the blame on that as to why the stage was closing down when Junsu still needed to perform, I guess they want to blame the staff/employees.

    what i get…
    - cjes/junsu agreed to perform after live broadcast concluded — according to organizer. no word yet from cjes, hmmmmmm
    - cjes/junsu agreed to perform as LAST performer. they’ve discussed light stage and such too with the organizers.
    - cjes confirm junsu’s attendance in official website, and draw some fans to watch the broadcast, and the organizer later also included junsu in promotional materials. wasn’t that enough to draw fans to come or to stay tune on tv?

basically, even if this all is planned (the post broadcast thing), it’s still unfair to just share junsu’s attendance to public on the first hand without further detail. they should just write about junsu’s performance won’t be broadcasted in the poster, and let kbs/sbs received their flaks before the airing. it’s unethical of kbs/sbs and organizers for making advantage of his appearance in dragging viewers… for which this apology is made (see the couples last paragraph). and i still want an apologize for the mistreatment. packing cameras right in front of his nose with dim light is totally merciless. at least they can turn off the camera but not packed it before it finally finished. and they don’t have to say ZE:A as the last when tons of fans attending the event expecting junsu to be the last. so so stupid. they’re looking for the troubles themselves.

and btw, it’s still totally unfair for those broadcasting companies to ban junsu, even if what this organizer said is right (that it’s all planned beforehand).

Am I the only one who doesn’t get this so called apology. I mean I don’t think this can even count as an apology. All they did was write about how they planned on doing this and that but they never really said sorry for messing up at any point. All I know is that the MCs announced that ZEA had the last performance and they didn’t even announce Junsu. Then when Junsu performed the lighting was all dark. The part about the cameramen leaving doesn’t even bother me that much since I’m used to the broadcasting stations BS, however those other things are just plain rude.
At the end of the day I don’t care what you supposedly had planned, the point here is you not only didn’t deliver but you down right disrespected Junsu and put him in such a humiliating situation. So if you’re even going to try and get forgiveness you had better give us a far better apology.

We have the right to be angry but let’s not be misled by some false accounts, Junsu’s stage was great, the only problem was it was excluded from the live broadcast. It was not all dark!

ok fine! CJeS and Junsu knows about the set up, CJeS and Junsu side were not represented on the deliberations or planning they just get info on the organizer 2 days before the event…. but what can they do, it was said, reported and announced already that Junsu will be there to grace the event for disabled people sports opening. WHAT I CAN:T COMPREHEND is the fact that they invited him, choose him, requested for him to be their last performer, Junsu didn’t offer himself, CJeS didn’t contact them and tell them to guest Junsu, WHY THE ORGANIZER DID NOT FIGHT FOR A FAIR TREATMENT ON JUNSU’S BEHALF… and what happened on stage at least they should give him proper stage set up, let say they can’t give him the best just a good stage, good lighting, good sounds, whether Junsu like it or not he will perform because his fans are waiting for him broadcasted or not. THEY ARE SO CRUEL AND EVIL PERSONS! To HELL is their next destination!!!!!!!!! Cursing is bad but for this people it seems ok ‘coz they are so bad…

Okie so these are some comments i gathered from allkpop that may be able to clear some things up..Hope this helps!

    Comment 1:
AKP, it’s disappointing that you missed the big news of how Junsu was treated on 121008. ZE:A’s performance was before Junsu’s, and the MCs introduced ZE:A as the LAST performance. The MC also interviewed ZE:A. When ZE:A finished, the staff started to pack their recording equipments, cameras, etc like the whole event was over.

Before Junsu’s performance, the MC came out again and introduced him as the REAL last performance. After Junsu did Tarantallegra and he was delivering his short speech, the lights went dim/off. If you compare the photos of the other K-pop idols who appeared on stage to Junsu’s, you can see that there’s a clear difference in the lighting setup. This is unacceptable. Junsu did not receive an interview. He did his next song, Fever, and then wavd goodbye to fans.

Do you know that fans waited until around midnight for 6 hours before they got to meet him? And Junsu waited in an open tent in his chest-baring costume for 3 whole hours, so did his dancers, and some were girls. That’s bullshit.

AKP should have gone into more details of how Junsu, as an established artist who has been in the music industry for almost 10 years, has been treated. That would explain why people are making a big deal out of it. The apology is also just a long essay filled with BS.

    Comment 2:
Apparently what happened was the MC introduced ZE:A as the final act soof course after their performance, the media started packing (and someof the audience/main guests started to leave too). Of course the fansdid not leave because they believe that Junsu will still perform. After some minutes, the MC went back to stage and took back his words and introduced Junsu as the final act, but it was already too late… the media and some of the audience already left. Anyway, besides all these, Junsu still performed and thanked everyone who was left with a smile .

    (cr:misskahi -allkpop)

    Comment 3
agree with all of this. im so angry that this wasn’t given enough attention either, because its such a big deal! like allkpop not posting about the incident occuring in the first place…i saw a picture of that tent. it was like what TVXQ went through as rookies, when they had their debut stages. such a disgrace for whoever’s responsible, making Xiah Junsu of all artists, an experienced successful top idol/sunbae, to wait in a tent like that. and now in 2012, even rookies arent treated as badly as that. i doubt they are made to sit in a cold tent with white plastic chairs >.<

    1. Please excuse my ignorance I am not familar with the Para games. So these games are like the olympics for the disable correct? So there will be several days of compitiion correct? When will the games end?

Junsu was the finale performer for the opening ceremony correct? Once again please excuse me for asking these questions at this time this letter has me confused.

So they decided to get Junsu for the final act, because they knew he was popular, and yet he was NOT EVEN PART OF THE OFFICIAL CEREMONY and that’s why KBS (I thought it was SBS?) packed up and left before his performance even began? Does that even make sense? Why make such a big deal of inviting someone popular for your final act if you’re not even going to include him in the official ceremony? What was Junsu then, just some bonus guest of no great importance?

I don’t understand some parts of this apology, what is he talking about “after the after-meal there were many empty seats left causing chaos”? Was this a dinner event or something?
