[NEWS] 121015 JYJ becomes an honorary ambassador for 2012 KBEE

        @micky07

        I really speechless.
During most acute political tension, everyday protest on street in 3 countries, now push J.Y.J to the front line??!!!!
Goosh , if Jae , Yoochun, Junsu being labeled as pro-japan, THEY will be based by China market.
Real cases are all Taiwan , Malaysia TOP singers, their recent stages being crashed down by angry China fans.
** actually all Asian stars in Great China Region retreated from linking with JP already. Eg. Tony Leung….

And Japan already cut the special econ mechanism with Korea, can attacking Samsung in logistic / micro parts,
why sacrifice J.Y.J in this damn shit ?(pls pardon for my rude language) . Korea on dispute island will final this year end,
and name as their National island Park. What do you want J.Y.J do for their country facing all right wing of JP?

Jae is going to Nanjing on 22nd Oct for FM, the history of Nanjing vs Japan easily stir up by anti ><
and jae's Dr. Jin banned in Japan NOT purely for the copyright matter, this is widely understood.

South Korea , you are that evil functional, while retreating all other idols you push J.Y.J again as shield ???
J.Y.J also good relationship to USA & Europe, why don't you nominate them ?

***guess many other idols trying to wash away JP tide now very happy and relieved. No need to be bashed like
KARA in front of national ppl.

( ***just an opinion, this very ironic nomination at WRONG time)

          @JYJ global listener

So if ever they’ll be ambassadors… JYJ would look like “sacrificial lambs” and would be in the middle of all these disputes between korea, japan and china? and aside from being banned in korea amd japan… There’s also a possibility of JYJ being banned in China if ever they’ll be ambassadors for KBEE?
*sorry, too many questions… i’m not really knowledgable about these countries politics and disputes* :-(

I’d rather look at this in a positive light than put a negative spin on it. yes, political tensions do exist and I understand the concern. but for JYJ and their fans, let’s look at this as something to celebrate. JYJ has a very limited exposure as a MUSICAL group, both in Japan and Korea. but, with this appointment, they’re being acknowledged as influential despite of it.

You got the full picture 100% correct.
All aspects, all scenarios , the result is just “all dead” – ” Saving private Ryran ” – by J.Y.J ><

hello, i like your positive thinking . Yet fans biz is not show biz.
If such offer that easy & not conflict with China market , suju , would have already got the offer.
Every Korean artists try to shrug off this meaningless Vanity.

Too bad, even lack of exposure doesn’t mean it is worth making a wrong move.

I completely agree with u! cjes and jyj needa to stop promoting themselves as commercial commodities, but as exclusive goods. Limited broadcast & good money offer shldnt be a reason to anyhow accept events. At this point of time they shldn’t be so innocent and not act prudently.

It’s unwise now for JYJ to accept the appointment as Goodwill Ambassador for the 2012 KBEE.

We Chinese fans are worried for Cjes’s decision now. SK and China are both victims of

Japanese invasions and fascism in the Second World War. And the Japanese government has

never apologized to the two countries from heart like the Germany government did to European

countries. Jgovernment often denied the true history of Japanese crime on

asian countries and has taught Japanese young people false and twisted history. It’s a

public humiliation to Korean and Chinese people. So that’s why we two countries are against

Japanese government. If JYJ and Cjes unwisely accept the mission, I think many Korean and

Chinese patriotic fans will say no to JYJ. It’s a truly dangerous thing for JYJ’s career. We

chinese fans can understand the hardship and blockade that JYJ faces now in SK and JP

market, can comprehend JYJ‘ love for Japanese people and always support these three young

guys against unfair treatment they received from SK and Japanese music industry. We Chinese

don’t hate ordinary Japanese people but hate what the Japanese government did now. The act

of SM’s giving up Japanese market temporarily has gained some hearts of Chinese people and

it’ll be harder for JYJ to market themselves in China if the evil SM gains more influence in

China.SM can easily gain its power in Japanese market if one day the dispute between SK and

Japan faded away. After all SK and Japan are both alliances of USA. But After JYJ does the

mission, JJ, JS and YT will still be boycotted in SK and Japan as long as SM and Avex exist,

will be suspected by its motherland people and will make themselves harder to gain potential

fans in big China area in the future. So, JYJ must consider one thing prudently:they’re

Koreans first, then they are artists.

yes, wary and weary, make fans difficult. If mature fans got this feeling, then it is very difficult to maintain younger fandom. I saw younger fandom being very annoyed and upset, if for entertainment, why involved to repeated silly & argument / disappointment.

Many times JYJ fans are positive about these things , the result is the same. I call it an confidence overdraft. It is dangerous.

Call me sarcastic…appointing them ambassador in 2 countries that deny their existence? Explain Junsu’s incident, Jeju island to me…

Give a guarantee that KBEE won’t do the same to them. Guarantee them won’t get trouble from evil couple SMAvex, and can perform. Otherwise there is no meaning in the title ‘ambassador’.

Don’t use them, don’t use their popularity and their fans. Don’t play with their hearts, their nationalism spirit as Korean and their love for Japanese fans.

@JYJ global listener, some of our JYJ3 family are not picking up on the message you are trying to convey; like there is more at stake here for JYJ than just the ongoing blocking. If they become scapegoats with this ambassadorship; their careers and reputations could be damaged. East Asia is becoming a tender box, ready to ignite over island territories. I hope the JYJ fandom in S. Korea, Japan and China is strong enough to separate themselves from ‘politics’ and allow JYJ to precede as ambassadors.

No its not. You are not getting what @ “JYJ global listener” is trying to say. She’s implying that only an artist who has nothing to loose or only a fool will acept this offer. Because this is like career suicide mission. Mission Impossible IV. All other artists/idols are being well guarded by their management campanies away from this offer because it’s like a pit whole. Apparantly there’s some sort of conflict (economic?) goining on and its not looking good from @ JYJ global listener’s info., It will be better if JYJ decline the offer like the other artists did. Because if it doesn’t go well, they(JYJ) will lose the little market they’ve got in China and what little they’ve got going on in Japan. They’re being served over like sacrifial lambs by Korea. JYJ, at this point in their career, can’t afford to take this risk. But I guess C-Jess think otherwise.

your points are very legit. still for me, like i’ve said above, I really wanna look at this as something positive. it’s not that I’m trying to turn a blind eye on the disrespect JYJ has been getting. (I felt like crying out of anger seeing those pics of Junsu in the dark!)

Still, i see this as my dear boys are being acknowledged here and there — that they’re popularity, influence, charms, talents, etc. can be used to benefit both countries. It’s very saddening and disappointing when things like the Jeju incident happened. but from how I’ve come to know the boys, they’re just happy to represent their country and their 2nd home.

      • loveunchanged
        October 15, 2012 Reply

This is bigger than that. This is about JYJ being placed in a middle of a war zone, whereby no matter the outcome, JYJ will still be at the losing end(economic market wise). It’s not like they’ll be introduced and broadcasted on tv as doing something good for their country. The only people who’ll get to know about this ambassadorship is us (JYJ fans) and we already know Korea don’t give a da_n about them (pardon the language). It’s a meaningless appointment since their country don’t care cr_p about them. Why kill yourself for your country when your country doesn’t give a fig if you lived or died?

YES! I truly hope that the Ministry of… is far more powerful than SM or Avex! Show them that their evil powers cannot stop JYJ from being honorary ambassadors! I dare the evils powers to block JYJ’s activities as ambassadors! Fighting!

so it’s true that JYJ will be the ambassadors for 2012 KBEE after all. Although I’m bitter at the way Korea and Japan have treated our boys, they deserve that title. JYJ is a popular brand in both countries, and they do bring much benefits to their homeland. Their worldwide concert in Busan boosted local businesses, and their Membership Week set record in bringing in a big number of tourists, among other things. CJES has updated the appointment ceremony on Oct 17 on their calendar, but I’d like to see JYJ perform in Osaka in Nov. That’s the real deal, and only when it actually happens will I appreciate this event. For now, I’m still skeptical.

I am so proud and happy for the boys. This is wonderful news! CJeS, how is your marketing department? Why don’t you manufacture JYJ coffee cups, T-shirts, and JYJ calendars featuring all three of the boys as well as having each member pose with their own separate calendar? This would be a fantastic way to promote JYJ in all countries and I’m pretty sure all items would sell out. If you established an online web presence, fans from all over the world would most definitely be eager to order these items.

I think they have stuff like that out there already. Through Lote, NII and for their past concerts. The NII stuffs are awesome.

SALT RUBBED DEEP INTO THEIR WOUNDS!

JYJ is selected honorary Ambassadors to promote HARMONY between two countries that DENY them the right to make a living in the industry that this event is supposed to be promoting. HARMONY! When the court in their own country will not bring an EQUITABLE resolution to DISHARMONY that has plagued JYJs life for 3 years.

Now they must smile show their faces and PRETEND that all this is OKAY because if they say NO they will be accused of being disloyal to their country for rejecting this oh so “great honour” bestowed upon them? Will they perform in OSAKA, Japan or just be used and appointed at a “pseudo” ceremony in Korea????

They have JYJ as we say “over a barrell.” If they’ve agreed to be ambassadors without being allowed to attend or participate in the actual event in Japan in November then they’ve been used again, if they say NO, then they get accused of being disloyal to their motherland.

The question that needs to be asked is….. How were the 2011 KBEE Ambassadors handled?
ANSWER>>>> The girl group SECRET was selected as the KBEE Honorary Ambassadors for 2011. The event was held in France, the appointment was done at the event, and the girls were ALLOWED TO PERFORM and give autographs to fans at the event as the ambassadors for the 2011 KBEE.

If JYJ is not invited to perform in Oska at the 2012 KBEE then they are simply being used and abused by their own country… Yes abused…. South Korea has taken to using, abusing and mocking JYJ…..the FACTS speak to this harsh reality. There is nothing more to say.

Well, truthfully, why is there an assumption that it’s Cjes that accepted the offer without consulting JYJ. I truly believe that the decision to attend or not is taken by JYJ themselves, not their agency. So then, this is what JYJ wants to do. @A Friend of JYJ What you said is all very true and that’s definitely what I’m feeling right now. @JYJ global listener All this political tension is scary and there’s the definite possibility that this’ll effect JYJ’s careers. But it makes me so sad and angry that politics sgould have anything to do with music or vice versa. I really hope that the JYJ fandom in SK, JP, and CN will be wise and tolerant and understand to separate JYJ and their music from all this nonsense….

To be honest i am not surprise if JYJ get appointed as ambassador for such a things and this is could be a double edge sword for our boys. With the hard situation between korea-Japan-China, our boys really a perfect candidate for being this kind sacrifice…..

God…..please make everything became a good one for JYJ in the end.
please give the blessing for the boys and if later there are something bad happen, please…..please give them and us a strength to face it….
and I am so thankful to God if everything became a good one (amen)

Hello, i understand your thoughts. And very agree with @na ( above),
she said “Oxymoronic to the fullest of its meaning”

Consider in Japan & Korea , J.Y.J have not been treated as visible something to the entertainment society, and throw as the “lowest class, despised being” in the past year.
Unresolved legal disputes plenty on tables…no tv record at para game opening.

Now suddenly give them such honor, only i can imagine is the movie :The Flowers of War
( 13 most despised whores , rescue student virgin girls with their body during JP invasion in Nanking. These long no dignity whores become war heroines. And they feel proud , sacrificed themselves to feed the JP army as comfort women.

And Jaejoong, is going to have FM on this coming Saturday 20/10 at Nanking too.

( nothing offensive, this is the only vivid example best describe the entire interactive relationship now)

This is not the right time for JYJ to promote in Japan. It is suicide mission for JYJ. They will be SACRIFICED if there is any flare up. Political tension is very high now between Japan/Korea and Japan/China. All it needs is for SoMeone to create a little noise to the press and JYJ will be shot down by both Korean patriots and Chinese patriots (we r not talking about JYJ fans here but the general population) They are already banned in Japan, do you want them to lose their Korean and Chinese market too.
If it is really good for the artist, why do you think SM and other artists reject this offer. (SM can makes tons of money from any Japanese goodwill generated). Siwon already got the flakes from the Japanese when he spoke up about the island conflict. Some Korean acts like Kara are questioned about their loyalty. ‘Dr Jin’ and some other shows are being cancelled, victims of this fallout. It will be worse if the Chinese attacked them for promoting in Japan now. Many China, HongKong, Taiwan artistes try to distance themselves from Japan now to avoid Chinese anger.
This is the current political tension between Japan/Korea -conflicts over Dokdo Islands http://edition.cnn.com/2012/08/14/world/asia/south-korea-dokdo-takeshima-islands/index.html
The Japan/China conflicts over Senkaku (Japanese name) and Diaoyu Islands (Chinese name) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Senkaku_Islands_dispute
When Xia was having his fan meet with Japanese fans in Jeju last month, I was quite worried for him. Of course it is not his fault as the fan meet was arranged before the tension started. But I noticed that although the fan meet is for Japanese fans, the room banner is in English. Someone commented that its weird that they have banner in English for Japanese fans. I think the hotel was just playing safe.

I really hope it will not be this horrible worse case scenario, because our boys deserve a way to break out of their current predicament. I wish the media will just shut up about the Dokko islands and stop asking celebrities what their views are, they are ENTERTAINERS not POLITICIANS…. and I pray that all JYJ fans will separate things too…

ok now I am reading the other thread and got more worried.. X.X I failed to account that for most Koreans, it should be the identity as a Korean comes first, then celebrity… there will always be reporter who will ask that question…. *sad-face*

No matter what, we as their fans should support them. Don’t think all are completely black. Some JP fans still come to Korea to see those boys without thinking about their own safety from angry Koreans. I believe JYJ fans in JP will protect the boys like other international fans do right now (the ban issue).
For JYJ to accept this job, maybe they believe they can do something to both countries in the non political area. I have faith in them. How about you guys, fans of JYJ? It’s a risky move but those boys have faced worst before & still standing because they have us the fans!

It’s a good news with an edgy feelin’. The posibilities as I see it is either: C-jes will cancel everything
in the last minute or #2 The boys think they can bring something good and release these tensions.Aldow why artist should be used for this I got no clue! #3 They were chosen maybe, because what other artist is being loved and has great fanbases in these 3 countries? I think that is the main point in the end, to lose the tensions between the 3 countries since they all love them.Sort of like, convey the message of “we have different opinnions but look we all love these guys. This may mean something” Anyway, after reading all your oppinions I pray that everything will be alright, and if there’s anything going to turn bad…may God be with the boys and us all!

JYJ should reject the nomination, don’t they know now is the critical time among these three countries? I wonder our boys have been told the real situation? China fans sure offend to JYJ if they perform in Japan. Cjes as their agency we expect you to protect their right yet what are trying to do now is to jeopardise them…….really speechless.

Somehow, I think all parties concerned weighed the pros and cons and made a decision. For the life of me, I don’t see JJ, YC, and JS being totally ignorant of what is going on. Perhaps I give them more credit for being able to think for themselves. This is their choice to make, not the fans. Nor do I think C-Jes accepts these appts. without discussing them with the guys.

In any event, good luck guys. Looking forward to having everything turn out well for you.
