Yes, that’s really all they ask – it’s all they’ve ever wanted. Just to be allowed to compete fairly – their talent against any others, as simple as that.
And here’s why they can’t do that: just my opinion of course but if JYJ were allowed to compete fairly, they would sweep EVERYTHING, every time out. They would quickly establish themselves as THE premier pop group in S Korea. Their talent in combination with their charisma and their indelible personalities – well, I don’t think it’s too far a stretch to say that they are potentially S Korea’s Beatles. Anybody who is of an age to know what kind of impact The Beatles had on pop music in the west will know this is no mean achievement.

What others don’t take into consideration is how young the members of JYJ are. Their BEST years are ahead of them! That is why they can be compared. The innate talents they possess are not ordinary, they are sustanable. My personal favorite comparison — U2.

Well, to paraphrase Ronald Reagan, “There – I’ve gone and done it again.” You said it two years ago, I said it again today. I think it’s true. You probably haven’t changed your opinion much either.
Just because a few people disagree with you doesn’t mean the thing you expressed is wrong. That’s what I’ve learned. I believe that you and I and possibly a whole lot of others will see that our opinions are born out, over the long run. There is something very very special about JYJ. As they do more and more wildly successful solo projects, when they come back together again this fact will be more and more evident. This is my feeling. As always, we’ll see.
@lilibaiyu I agree with every word you said. They would definitely be the best, in a totally different league from the other singers.
And as far as the Beatles go, I have always thought they were the next cycle of the Beatles, almost exactly 40 years later, with unbeatable talent, singers, song writers…. But what reminds me the most of the Beatles is their charm and humor. Very similar. If someone objects to that, they haven’t realized who JYJ really are.
I’m loving every bit of this for Junsu! It is so, so deserved. Congratulations Junsu!

I spent a good time crying with Junsu when he was overwelmed on stage.I’m still weepy today . Like like his mum,I too am overhwelmed.
JYJ is all I think about daily. No exaggeration when I listen to their music daily in the car and in bed when I sleep ever since I discovered Chunnie in SKKS 2 years ago. These 3 are such talented guys who are so humble over their success and so resilient in their adversity. Hard to find these days.
I have never been so proud to be a fan of any entertainer till I am a JYJ fan. Am I smart for my age or what ??

Junsu is the first of the 3 to win Best Actor, not Best Newcomer or Most Popular. It is a really big break through into a very difficult field with people who have studied for this type of singing and acting for many years.
When I saw Junsu’s performance at the last Musical Awards show, I thought they were mistaken to not give him the award. His performance was electric. So glad they realized it this time.
when i read on twitter that Junsu won the Best Actor, i was just finished my therapy session and must have held myself from jumping with joy, or else i would have had strange gaze from others in the room :p. i thought: this is it, this is the moment long overdue for the talented singer – turn to musical actor – our lovely Junsu! he definitely deserves the award given his talent and hardworks he put in Elisabeth production. With this award, Korean musical industry is now acknowledging both his selling value and ability to deliver good, no, great performance.
Let’s cheer on this joy, fellow JYJ fans, and keep our positive point of view. eventhough we don’t know when they’ll have the opportunity to perform on TV again, the Universe will always has its way to reward our boys with achievement and spotlight they deserve.
