Recently, JYJ’s Junsu enchanted fans in Germany with his excellent singing and dance performances.
Junsu had recently held 13 world-tour concerts,“XIA First World Tour in Overhausen, Germany,” in 12 different cities in Germany. His final concert was on November 30 at Turbinenhalle. After wrapping up his performances, Junsu held a press conference.
At the conference, a reporter asked Junsu to comment on actor Kim Jae Joong and Park Yoo Chun’s acting skills. Junsu answered, “Some people think acting idols are not passionate or good enough. The perception got me very worried before the members started acting. However, I think JYJ is doing great! Park Yoo Chun is currently playing for drama, “I Miss You,” and Kim Jae Joong is busy with movie ‘Jackal Is Coming.’ I am very proud of them.”
The singer also talked about JYJ’s upcoming album which will be released in 2013 and concluded the conference with the statement, “I am lucky to be in JYJ.”

And about idol’s acting, the reason why I think most of them don’t do very well in acting is because as idols they are taught to hold things in (be prim and proper) where as in acting you have to express all your emotions to the viewers. They are like opposites. So I think if the idol is able to throw away most of his “idol image” he can successfully act. Then again there are those who just sucks and it has nothing to do with how they are trained as idols. Acting is just not part of their DNA.

It never ceases to amaze me the extent of Junsu’s maturity and deepness whenever he’s interviewed. Maybe because he’s always been the mood-maker with the baby face and the silly personality… Every so often whenever I read something he tweets or something he responds to in an interview, I keep wondering if there is anything that Junsu ISN’T (even his silly, simple tweets seem to hold some sort of deeper meaning in his words, in my opinion). He’s hot and sexy, cute and silly, wonderful voice, excellent musician, great dancer, passionate about his performances… I haven’t seen his musicals, so I can’t comment about HIS acting and don’t want to do so without seeing it first hand. (And no, the Banjun Dramas from back in the day don’t count because all the boys acted kind of tacky and strange then as really amateur actors/idols.)
But he’s so wise sometimes.
I agree that there is a lot of negativity out there whenever an idol crosses over into acting. People are quick to write them off as “getting the role because he/she is popular” and when the idol is successful in being a decent actor, even more people will continue to write that off as “it’s because he/she is so popular that fangirls/fanboys are blinded by their obsessed biases”. I’m not going to be THAT PERSON and deny that there aren’t a lot of cases in drama-land where this happens since we’ve established that the entertainment industry isn’t without it’s questionable dealings. I’ve seen my fair share of idols turned actors who don’t really manage very well (and some of them are idols I adore for one reason or another, but they just aren’t cut out for acting, really…)
But we so often forget that all actors start off as rookies too, and there are certain well-loved and accepted actors who started off as idols. When a new actor gets recognized it means that that actor is truly talented; on the other hand, whenever an idol gets recognized, they are immediately written off as riding on their idol popularity. Actors have to start somewhere, and just because one started as an idol before going into acting doesn’t mean that he/she cannot act or is just being cast because he/she “is extremely popular”.
And it’s always dug at me that there are some people out there who are strict drama/movie fans and seem to immediately cast off idol fans as being blinded by their biases, unable to appreciate what “true” acting is. Why can’t I be a fan of dramas and movies as well as a fan of idol groups and singers and musicians and still have an unbiased taste? I recognize the good actors from the bad, and I have my obsessions within idol/musician/singer fandoms as well. In fact, I adored the actor Park Yoochun in Sungkyunkwan Scandal before I even knew he was part of idol boy group JYJ; I found his acting much improved in Rooftop Prince before I even became a diehard JYJ fan.
Anyway, looks like I got a little carried away again. I tend to do that a lot.
Anyway, point is, I’m a fan of JYJ now and will support them no matter what they plan on doing, be it music or acting or other. If they are successful, then that’s all that matters to me. After all, I’m simply a fan from overseas who is enjoying whatever work of theirs I can have access to.
I couldnt watch any of his musical, but thank God, someone record this decent fancam, this even better than the one emk released, it’s only a song, but Junsu, OMG! Just watch it

JYJ boys – JaeChunSu are talented, gifted boys. As CJES’s boss see through what they were capable of. Thank God, they came out from Evil SME… where their hidden talents as actors surely will not be discovered and remain as singing slaves…like we know who. They will soar to greater heights and getting more awards as actors, already started with this year…where we all saw what happened. JYJ name is getting more popular and attention now. They are always complimenting each and humble. Love JYJ!
