JYJ‘s agency has sent warning messages toward netizens who posted and spread false rumors about JYJ on the Internet.
On December 3, C-JeS Entertainment made a post on their official website with the title, “A Warning Regarding False Information Circulation and Defamation And Its Legal Consequences.”
The post read, “We strictly warn all netizens who have been posting false information and malicious posts about JYJ (Jaejoong, Yoochun, Junsu),” and “If any of our C-JeS artists find damage in those malicious and defaming posts that contain false information, we will report them to the cyber police and take legal action.”
It continued, “We have already filed successful lawsuits against over 20 netizens this year alone, which caused them to meet legal consequences. For minors, parents were notified and they were required to sign memorandums.”
Finally, the post read, “We have recently sued many netizens once again for making slanderous posts on DC Inside, which hurt JYJ and the fans who love JYJ. If those kinds of posts continue to be made, we will report them to the cyber police and take legal action.”
Meanwhile, the long legal battle between JYJ and SM has recently been settled.

What goes around comes around and when it backfires if it hurts double the impact from what the haters threw at their opponent well don’t look for mercy or pity because they knew the consequences were at a very high risk for a fowl play or a home run. Defamation of character is such a low way of letting others know of their jealousy and psycho minded frustration, I hope those idiots get it by now not to toy with others emotions, dignity and respect from which I see those haters didn’t have an inch of it.

Maybe you’ll accuse me of picking bones here but that “family” comment is really bothersome. We might be so accustomed to the SME way of doing things that we project the same terminology onto CJeS, maybe JYJ do this too, who knows?
CJeS is protecting clients (whom they are close to by all means but are not “family”) from libel and slander by malicious netizens through legal action. Let us not start romanticizing everything CJeS does. This defamation harms both CJeS and JYJ in different ways. JYJ have to deal with both the emotional toll and a negative and false perception from the public that could seriously affect their activities and ability to sell while frankly, CJeS only has potential monetary loss. You might claim that CJeS could also suffer from public scrutiny but from what I have noticed, management companies weather scandals far easier than the artists. Even when things are proven to be false and the storm calms down the damage is already done.
Tablo is an excellent example. It took much time for him to recover emotionally and reconnect with his fans. That is the power of malicious netizens. Companies scrape by BECAUSE they are companies, we picture a phantasmagoria of faces and so it easy to just zero in on the face we DO know AKA the artist(s). Another example: SME is the biggest piece of shit but somehow the harshest insults and threats are saved for the idols under that company and not for Lee Soo Man or Kim Young Min.
Sorry I went on a tangent but I really dislike this terminology when we all know that 99.8% of S. Korean (heck! the world!)companies are nothing like families and it is naive to think CJeS is one as well.

Notice the operative word here is ALREADY and THIS YEAR ALONE. Contrary to what so many believe…CJES has been acting to protect JYJs interests with the weapons the can use legally. Just because they don’t announce their plans to the fandom, (and why should they) it does not mean they are not acting diligently behind the scenes. Yes, It’s been harsh for JYJ but just as harsh for CJES to do what they were hired to do. Yet for every 10 good outcomes CJES creates for JYJ the fandom finds and focuses on the one that came out wrong..

Because of JYJ, not only have contractual terms improved for future kpop idols, now netizens and “fans” will be wary before they decide to launch any hate campaign against other artists in future. Why is that considered a stupid move? I’m glad that CJeS is taking action against those people who think they can defame and bash anybody by hiding behind what they think is ‘anonymity’ on social media. These people may not be aware that they need to be responsible and accountable for their actions online, and yes, what they post can be easily tracked.
I am a regular Twitter user and I get pretty irked by morons who spread malicious lies, call our JYJ guys by all sorts of unkind names and retweet nude photoshopped pictures of them. I have considered screen-capping some of these tweets and sending them over to CJeS.
Since this announcement was made, the antis have disappeared or became more civil. OUr JYJ guys are also humans – they deserved to be treated with dignity just like you and me. Why should they tolerate nonsense just because they are celebrities?
I completely, 101% agree with you. i read an article before about how artists were treated from another asian country where they considered them as ‘public properties.’ the article discussed about the extent of defamation or insult an artist must take or must they actually react to such. also, how much meddling or prying must they be able take from fans who wanted to know everything there is about their idols; every little detail, all that’s private. i made a reaction to that article and wrote the same thing i am now to this…our precious JYJ, though we met and get to know them because they chose to become performers are just like us…human beings. we pay for their every performances, appearances, and patronize every products that bear their names but doesn’t mean that they’re included in the package; that we make them do what we want, and make them listen to whatever we want to say and expect them to just sit, listen, watch, smile, and waive their hands. aaah seriously. what CJES did was commendable, though others don’t feel the same way. every action has its consequence and little does these people know that striking at JYJ and its gazillion fans could prove that their own idols are not positive influence for them…with this they better think of just joining the JYJ fandom to really experience what a love, respect, and frienship for an idol can actually mean and do to a humble fan like you and me.
