Yes, really when you think about it it is stunningly amazing that Junsu won the award. Well, Junsu is a class act, someone SK can be justly proud of. PSY…. I don’t know…. not so much…
PSY….the explosion he created, imho I think it’s just a trend. Something temporary that will be replaced by next explosion. Shuffle dance was a trend that horce dance replaced.
Junsu is all about talent, and that is a whole different level.

Not a better representative in the category. Kind of makes you wonder. How could someone who is rewarded in this fashion, be denied invitation on music programs for what he does best, sing? No one else seems to have a problem but ‘certain’ people. You would think at sometime they would not like to be on the outside looking in.
If any of you music PDs are out there, can you answer this for me, please? I promise, this is not a trick question. You know the kind, the one your teacher threw in the test to keep you from getting 100.

this is really a worthy honor coz only the best were chosen.
JYJ are ambassadors of KBEE for Japan, and now Junsu was awarded 2012 SFCC Award for Raising Awareness of Korea Overseas. They are people that were considered harmful to hallyu as those KFC+Capcai stated (I don’t remember the exact name of fake organisiation).
For Junsu personally, 2012 has been his good year:
- Elisabeth Musical that was very successful in terms of sold out tickets of all 30 shows in minutes, and giving him being nominated as Best Musical Actor at both musical award events this year
- Winning 2 Popular Musical and 1 Best Musical Actor Awards
- Successfully releasing a full solo album that made it to 10th Billboard and 25th World chart. And #1 also at Korean+Japan sales
- Strikingly beautiful but also out of mainstream Tarantallegra MV that reaches 5mil hits now,and being #1 in many countries (3 months in a row at German chart)
- Successfully holding a sold out 2-day concerts in Seoul
- Successfully holding a world tour in 6 countries in Asia, 5 countries in North and South America. One country in Europe.
- Releasing an English single Uncommitted that reached 10+mil hits at YYT China
- Collaborating with famous people in US music industry
- Another sold out Ballad Concert with Orchestra will be held at the end of the year
with a record of 200K people logged in and crashed Interpark site
- Having thousands of international fans flying over to Korea for his musical, concerts, fanmeeting in Jeju.
- Charity acts by doing something he loves, Soccer.
FC Man Japan Fight Tokyo in April brought about 41k Japanese fans to watch the game and cheered for Korean team, and Junsu didn’t even sing a line of a song. Junsu donated mils of yen to the same affected area by earthquake that JYJ donated radiation detectors. Junsu was also given a sort of appreciation plaque by Japan Prime Minister. Strangely all that never been reported on TV news in Kor and Jap. The Jap news only showed Juno, not a single frame of Junsu.
The 2nd FC Men Japan Fight in Yokohama was also full house on 1st floor (I don’t know how many). Nissan Stadium looked a lot bigger than the one in Tokyo. Junsu also donated something (a box with heart logo), and received a recognition too. Something about 100 unfortunate children. I wish someone could clarify this.
- Performing on a Japan stage after 2 years. Although it was only 2 songs. I think one of the songs was No Gain because Jae composed and sang part of it. It would sound like 2/3 JYJ was on stage.
I think I’ve summed up all Junsu’s solo activities this year. Maybe those achievements made him got the award.
2nd FC Men Japan Fight in Yokohama was also full house???

At 1st Japan Fight, the number of people was on the screen. Junsu twitted the number and thanked them for coming.
At the 2nd Japan Fight, nobody mentioned the number, but if you checked fancams, the whole 1st floor was full, and few people were on 2nd floor. It was almost like a real professional soccer game. The chant they shouted were mostly ‘FC Men’ and ‘Kim Junsu’.
Fangirls scream every time Junsu got the ball, or even every little thing like smiling, fixing his socks (camera was focused on his duckbutt ofc). It was awesome.
Eventhough FC Men already won by 3-1, Junsu closed the game with an awesome goal at last seconds that awarded him MVP trophy. As soon as he scored, instead of high5-ing with fellow FC Men, he ran to the fans and cheered with them.
In the interview, he answered why he cheered with fans instead of members, he said that he saw fans from morning in awful weather patiently supported FC Men. He felt touched. Such a thoughtful man.
Come to think of it, choosing a faceless singer rather than those who can appear on TV everyday and claim as hallyu reps, must be another hard slap on the face, huh ?

I saw Junsu sing “I Hate Love.” I attended the CJeS talent competition in Los Angeles, CA in September. At the end of the competition, they said a special guest would appear–Junsu! I was shocked! He came on stage in a puff of smoke and sat on a chair and then he sang “I Hate Love.” Junsu sang that song with his whole heart and soul–he was amazing. I may never see Junsu or Xia in person again, but I will never forget that night. His talent was undeniable. I ran downstairs so that I could get a closer look at Junsu, but he disappeared! I am not at all surprised that he received this award.
