Maybe Director Lee is showing off Jaejoong to others! Something is cooking between those two since BIFF. Lee is an excellent director too! But I can totally picture JJ in a Tim Burton film. JJ is a little weird and unique and Burton is a lot weird and unique. Hope something is up!!!

One of my fav directors with Jaejoong. I am going to need a film with Johnny Depp and Jaejoong now. Mr. Tim Burton, make it come true. Jaejoong has the right style for Tim’s films.
But we need to be really realistic here, I mean can Jae speak even more decent English. Decent enough to be in some sort of film with this man’s involvement? We are not too sure about that, nor has he tried to show that. It’s not a big deal if he hasn’t, it’s not like he hasn’t nothing to offer to us, he has A LOT to offer.
I would dream after seeing Jaejoong speak great English in some conversation. Then it looks more realistic to say that it’s possible
How about him in a movie where he doesn’t need to speak a word? Just need his expression to deliver the feeling? Or just few words only just like what Johnny Depp did in Edward Scissorhands?
Knowing the films of Tim Burton, the “unusual” or “unique” themes he had, maybe Jaejoong can fit in one. Don’t have to be the one with fluent English. Who knows?
Old actors like Sylvester Stallone (became one of Hollywood’s highest paid actors,usually playing monosyllabic) and Arnold Schwarzenegger (an Austrian, barely spoke in his first movies), you can count the phrases they spoke for most of their blockbuster movies.
Haven’t you seen an English movie with an Asian or Russian or any non-English character in it? They don’t have to speak great English, but anyway it’s just a tweet picture and Shi Burrows is just expressing her wish which is great. And it’s not only the great English speakers who have a place under the sun, or to be involved with Tim Burton.
I have seen yes, but I can’t help but to think that, he deserves much more than to give just an expression or a one liner. Anyone that’s seen him act before can see what he has to offer. Also the point of doing project is that, other directors, producers etc see some potential, or an opportunity for them to try and get that particular actor in their film/drama. By showing him just making an expression or giving a one liner, what does that show for other producers? Sure I’d love to see him in western movies, but I’d rather see him do a ‘Rain’ where he actually had his own movie and really showed westerners that we have great actors like ‘Rain’.
Im really not trying to discourage anyone but I’m just telling you from a realistic point of view. Sure it’s great to dream, but it’s another to see what’s actually good for him.

It doesn’t matter what project he does tbh. What matters is that a person gets their foot in the door and makes contacts in the industry. Similarly, even though his movie Jackal did not do well……..he has something to put on his resume and people can watch him act.
Rain also won the Biggest Badass Award at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards. I think he was the first Korean to win it..I think

Jay Chou acted in The Green Hornet without knowing a word of English. Well, it was pretty difficult to understand him. Nevertheless, I wouldn’t want to see JJ in a schematic Asian character in an American movie (martial artist, sidekick, laughable creature, bad guy, computer guy and so on). I was feeling so sorry to Jay as well. The movie didn’t kick off his career in the US and he got laughed at for his English… It was painful to read the critics…

Wow..maybe an “Edward Scissorhands” sequel?That movie was the bomb. More importanty, maybe this is a chance to introduce Jae to an international movie audience. But maybe Jae is working on a soundtrack for a future Tim Burton fim? I guess we’ll just have to wait and see..Tim Burton is a genius.
