JYJ’s Park Yoo Chun is receiving a lot of attention in China as a next Hallyu star.
According to the agency, C-JeS Entertainment, on December 13, big Chinese portal site Baidu has a fan community for Park with over 130,000 people. The members of the community are keep increasing rapidly and in October over 5,000 members conducted a campaign for a week to collect signatures to ask Park hold a fan meeting in China.
The agency says, “Park is very popular in Chinese-speaking countries. Chinese portal sites and TV channels airing Korean TV series are all about Park.”
Park started gaining popularity in China with his TV series Sungkyunkwan Scandal and Rooftop Prince, which have received over 100 million hits on a Chinese video site.
His current airing TV series Missing You is also receiving a lot of attention in China. It ranked first on the daily, weekly, and monthly charts among Korean TV series and it ranked fourth among all TV series including Chinese TV series.
A local official says, “Park is unbelievably popular. He is so charming in every TV series and he visits China to hold fan meetings. I think that impressed many Chinese fans and his will constantly receive an explosive response.”

I think Missing You fanmeet is a possibility but the JYJ concerts are confirmed though for 4 places in CHINA next year. The chinese chunsas are growing daily and i think by the time Missing You done airing in Jan 2013 – a lot of chinese ahjummas will be his fans too!!! oh yes, we are totally contaminated with HUV and can’t be cure…..

Yoochun has convinced me with his role in “I Miss You” . This is a well written script with great actors / actresses.
China is another battlefield, i see so many CHALLENGES right there.
