It is the best actor award for mini series, mini series category is any drama that consists of 16 – 20 episodes on average, so that’s pretty much every drama that international fans watch. Awards for daily dramas are in separate categories. Sorry to correct you but the implication of your post made it sound like he didn’t win Best Actor, which he did, our of all the crazy popular mini series dramas like TMETS and Arang, Yoochun won for best actor in mini series and JJ wond for best newcomer in mini series. I’m a happy little JYJ fan today!

This award can only be received once in a lifetime, so therefore I am very happy. I believe in the future, I will bring forth greater acting to the audiences. In the beginning, I was only considering that I should take up acting. But because of this project Dr Jin, it led me into thinking that I actually do want to act.
There are lots of people that I want to thank today, but I can’t name each and everyone of you. Sitting below the stage, my member Yoochun, thank you for always staying by my side giving me encouragement. Also, thank you Junsu, though you are not with us today.

I was channel surfing and they were showing this on TV in L.A. last night–I saw the last part of it but I must have missed Jaejoong. Wow! I’m so proud! He looked so surprised when he received the award! By the way, is Chunnie sitting with his co-star from “Missing You”? That looks like her! Do I smell a little romance?

Hey I was a bit confused too but then I got an explanation. There are 3 levels for the awards. The Daesang, Top Male Excellence Award and Male Excellence Award. Then within those there are different categories (Mini Series-Male/Female, Special Production-Male/Female, Soap Opera-Male/Female)
The one Yoochun won is the Male Excellence Award for a Mini Series. Although he didn’t get the Top Male Excellence he still got a very high honor, especially considering that I Miss You has not even finished airing yet and there was a lot of stiff competition.

Ahh…i got headache from netizenbuzz…what do they mean not satisfied with rookie award given?
I felt so happy while watching this awards show. Jaejoong got best Newcomer and Yoochun not only got the award for Male Excellence but it was presented to him by Jaejoong, what a beautiful moment.
There were many other special moments but one thing that made me quite happy is that MC who went to interview the actors and when talking to JJ and YC he mentioned JYJ twice. I felt so happy when he asked Yoochun to sing saying that although he is an actor he is also JYJ’s Park Yoochun.
