People now recognize JYJ’s Kim Jun Su for his capability in selling out all the tickets of his musicals and concerts.
Recently, the popular booking website for concerts and musicals, Interpark, held the 8th Golden Ticket Awards, and Kim received two awards, Musical Actor Award and Domestic Concert Musician Award.
Previously, the star has risen with his excellent skills as he received the Best Rookie Award and Best Actor Award since his musical debut in 2009. The tickets for all seats at Sejong Culture Hall were sold out when his debut musical Mozart was held. Along with it, his second playTears of Heaven showed similar “ticket power.” Out of 20 plays, 17 plays were full of audience.
In his third work Elizabeth in 2012, Kim appealed with stable acting and singing ability as he plays his transcendent character, Death. The tickets for all 32 plays were sold out in just ten minutes after the sales began.
Moreover, the tickets for 2012 Xia Ballad & Musical Concert with Orchestra held at the end of the year 2012 were all sold out immediately after the ticket sales opened and the seats added up to 21,000.
As he received the award, he said, “I’ve received tremendous love last year. I want to show my gratitude for all the fans who have encouraged me generously every time I appear on stage. I believe the best way to pay back your love for my performances and songs is to come up with the best performance.”

JYJ’s Junsu ranked #1 in ‘Ticket Power’ in 2012
JYJ‘s Junsu was chosen as the #1 celebrity with the most drawing power for 2012.
Ticket site Interpark held the ‘Golden Ticket Awards‘ from December 24th to January 6th. For the best musicals, the rankings were determined from 40% online voting, 30% ticket sales, and 30% from Interpark’s own internal ranking system. In terms of the best actors, they were chosen through 60% ticket sales and 40% from online voting.
Junsu’s musical ‘Elizabeth‘ was chosen as the #1 musical and received 46.9% of the online vote. Additionally, Junsu himself was chosen as the #1 male musical actor with 45.1% of the online vote.Kim Sun Young and Ok Joo Hyun from the same musical took first and second place for the female musical actress with 35.7% and 21.7% respectively.

Junsu needs more excellent marketing activities for bigger success.
( concert ticket is not expensive at all in Korea. China , Taiwan , HK all 2.5 times more expensive.
And in China counted RMB, which is 22% plus of US$, that is why sm , seemingly know its restriction
and focus their groups in China finally.

8 fair members with fair performance can create greatest effect. I don’t think they can as competitive as
Junsu IF broke down into individual performance. That is why they stick together, but TRYING to promote
each members as individual performer bit by bit. Commonly believe this group can be 2nd largest cash
cow for sm. ( 1st may be exo, their pay may be much lower)
Junsu alone can hold the stage, perform different genre , yet he lack bigger popularity.
Hopefully effective promotion & distribution take place soon for Junsu, let him show
the world his talent.
To me, it is ironic suju M Henry Lau more known to mass public as very talented singer.
I just hope Junsu will play the role of Jekyll & Hyde when the time is right. I bet he will sing this song with just as much, if not more passion, when he does. I feel audiences will always be eager to purchase tickets to a Kim Junsu/Xia performance!!!
