I was disappointed when I saw the overwhelming request for Hug…He cannot sing that song (I guess he gets permission from SM which is unlikely)…people should have thought of that and thought of his feelings…he is not with DBSK anymore, he is proudly JJ of JYJ…and this is his first solo endeavor….
I was expecting people to ask for old TVXQ songs ( a lot actually) but hopefully thought more people would ask for other songs .

@yuu_xia29, I believe all the old songs sung when they were in DBSK are copyright with SM, and knowing SM, JJ is unlikely to get permission to sing it, not to mention who knows what kind of royalty fee he has to pay SM for the song.

@yuu_xia29, its sad that even their self composed songs belong to their company, but that was what is stated in their contract … which is why the Korea Fair Trade Commission recently came out with a ruling to protect all budding artistes, they must have their own lawyer with them when they sign a contract, because legal terms are not easily understood by most people.

@yuu_xia29, I am not sure about their contract with Avex, though I think it might be similar to what was between them and SM. I love their Japanese songs too. The case with Avex is coming up soon in mid Jan (can’t remember the date), pray for the best for JYJ Japanese law also differs from Korean law, pray that JYJ will have everything in their favour, including ownership of their self-composed songs ..

1st). this is about Kim Jae Joong SOLO concert.. his long awaited Solo, it would be nice if people understand that.. he LEFT SM thus he cant be part of TVXQ again. he spent 3 hurtful n long years to be finally put his past behind him and be free. he want to show people the NEW him, the grown and more experienced of him as musician, and those people, not only understand that, they have to asked him to do smthg that EVERY TVXQ5 fans know it would be impossible. not because they think of him, but because of their selfish want. because IF you really care for him, you wont asked him that. SM could sue him, or the fans of current TVXQ would bashed him. JJ have composed lot of songs during TVXQ5 days. Dont you think he would want to sing those if he could? and i believe, by reading their interviews, you could see that they KNOW that many fans still hoping for the old TVXQ5. he KNOW. but the people who asked him to sang those old TVXQ5 songs didnt do it out of respect of his past. they just want to fulfilled their selfish self.

For those who requested TVXQ songs (HUG?), there are going to be some very unhappy souls. TVXQ is past, JYJ is present. No amount of wishing and hoping is going to change this. It’s hard to let go sometimes, but do it we must when necessary. This is one of those times. This is one of the side effects of Kpop fandom. In some cases, a loss of a certain amount of reality. Fans are not encouraged to grow.
I’ve missed the request deadline, but my personal fave is “I’ll Protect You”. I love this song. But which ever one he chooses, I like the concept of giving fans a chance to participate.

As much as I personally enjoy those old TVXQ songs, fans really should have taken JJ’s situation and feelings into account by not requesting Hug no matter how much JJ seemed to enjoy singing it in the past.
Honestly, even if Hug won in votes, it doesn’t necessarily mean that’s what he’ll sing.

There will be no singing of any TVXQ songs no matter if Hug does receive the most votes. SME owns the copyrights to all those songs and it’s a good guess they will never allow the guys to sing any of them. So, for those fans who entered any of those songs, wasted exercise in futility. They will just have to live with their disappointment. We don’t always get what we want in life.
Who knows, maybe JYJ fans can develop a campaign whereby we ask the guys to do an album covering the songs of others. Nothing like showing some respect for the works of others. It’s done all the time, why not JYJ? It would clearly be another notch in their belt. That song can go on the suggestion list. Keep in it in mind.

when c-jes and JJ decided on this concept, I assume they are ready for whatever the turn out will be. This is one way of surveying their market. Everyone is entitled to request for any song they like to be sung by JJ.
I seriously doubt they are surveying the market through this method but in the mere supposition that they are….just what kind of message do you think these fans are giving them in requesting that particular song? You act like this is so simple but it is not if there is a significant portion of the fandom that ignore facts and tries to pressure JYJ (in this case, Jaejoong) into doing some nostalgia cutesy wootsy act for their own selfish reasons. If this were a survey then the message is, “OMG! Please do DBSK songs cause that is all we care about!”
TVXQ does not have this problem because SME took care of it for them. They can sing whatever song they want and there are no repercussions because those songs are legally SME’s but JYJ is not in the same boat. Morally it is also in grey territory because many people will accuse them of using DBSK nostalgia to ensnare the fans even if the fans themselves are requesting this song. The criticisms will fall on JYJ.
Yes, everyone is entitled to a request but that is the keyword, request. At the end of the day this is Jaejoong’s own choice. If he chooses to sing “Hug” or not is up to him but that doesn’t mean that the reasons for why these fans are behaving this way is free from speculation.

For those who requested TVXQ songs (HUG?), there are going to be some very unhappy souls. TVXQ is past, JYJ is present. No amount of wishing and hoping is going to change this. It’s hard to let go sometimes, but do it we must when necessary. This is one of those times. This is one of the side effects of Kpop fandom. In some cases, a loss of a certain amount of reality. Fans are not encouraged to grow.
I’ve missed the request deadline, but my personal fave is “I’ll Protect You”. I love this song. But which ever one he chooses, I like the concept of giving fans a chance to participate.

As much as I personally enjoy those old TVXQ songs, fans really should have taken JJ’s situation and feelings into account by not requesting Hug no matter how much JJ seemed to enjoy singing it in the past.
Honestly, even if Hug won in votes, it doesn’t necessarily mean that’s what he’ll sing.
Cross my fingers & hope they say, “sorry, not allowed.”

On a side note, I wish there was a Korean version of U2′s “With or Without You.” For some reason, ever since I heard One Kiss, I keep picturing JJ singing that U2 song in a back tank and black jeans … drool.

There will be no singing of any TVXQ songs no matter if Hug does receive the most votes. SME owns the copyrights to all those songs and it’s a good guess they will never allow the guys to sing any of them. So, for those fans who entered any of those songs, wasted exercise in futility. They will just have to live with their disappointment. We don’t always get what we want in life.
Who knows, maybe JYJ fans can develop a campaign whereby we ask the guys to do an album covering the songs of others. Nothing like showing some respect for the works of others. It’s done all the time, why not JYJ? It would clearly be another notch in their belt.
That song can go on the suggestion list. Keep in it in mind. 
well i requested the song that made me(and so many others) love jaejoong’s voice from protect the boss ost ; i like to listen to a 100% jaejoong’s material,besides i like when jyj sing osts the most they rule that domain for sure,don’t you think???

when c-jes and JJ decided on this concept, I assume they are ready for whatever the turn out will be. This is one way of surveying their market. Everyone is entitled to request for any song they like to be sung by JJ.
I seriously doubt they are surveying the market through this method but in the mere supposition that they are….just what kind of message do you think these fans are giving them in requesting that particular song? You act like this is so simple but it is not if there is a significant portion of the fandom that ignore facts and tries to pressure JYJ (in this case, Jaejoong) into doing some nostalgia cutesy wootsy act for their own selfish reasons. If this were a survey then the message is, “OMG! Please do DBSK songs cause that is all we care about!”
TVXQ does not have this problem because SME took care of it for them. They can sing whatever song they want and there are no repercussions because those songs are legally SME’s but JYJ is not in the same boat. Morally it is also in grey territory because many people will accuse them of using DBSK nostalgia to ensnare the fans even if the fans themselves are requesting this song. The criticisms will fall on JYJ.
Yes, everyone is entitled to a request but that is the keyword, request. At the end of the day this is Jaejoong’s own choice. If he chooses to sing “Hug” or not is up to him but that doesn’t mean that the reasons for why these fans are behaving this way is free from speculation.
I’m sorry I think you got me wrong, I’ve never mentioned any particular song or group, my point is anyone can request whatever they like, that’s the purpose of this fan event. And it’s up to them to decide which song or songs he wanted to sing, About the survey thing, it is my own opinion only, but the main purpose of this event is JJ wants to give back to his fans by allowing them to request the song they wanted him to sing.

Singing songs of other artists in a getting-profit-event (concert, fm…) must to have their permission. JJ can’t sing songs of sm and avex. But he can ask to use songs of artists-not-from-sm-and-avex. I like JJ cover songs of sunbae,such as ‘For you’.
Can he sing Insa? Or awwww one of my favorites Living like a Dream.
