The music video of the title song “MINE’ from Kim Jaejoong’s solo mini-album was finally unveiled.
The MV was released on the 17th on JYJ’s official Youtube account and has attracted explosive attention from fans both domestic and abroad with hundreds of comments within hours.
At the beginning of the music video, Kim Jaejoong appeared mysteriously innocent then panned to being chained painfully then turns into a surreal character in the second half with every scene showing grisly-perfected visuals.
Official said, “Kim Jaejoong’s visual was enough to complete the dramatic story. The MV is grand and it is appropriate for a title track and the crystal sound of guitars really stood out. Kim Jaejoong gave unprecedented visual from being transformed into a vampire to boast of a surreal beauty and the power of the dark angel through the video.”
The MV started with Kim Jaejoong showing confusion then suffering from oppression and defilement then breaking away from the mold to protect something important then eventually gaining redemption. The artwork for the seven sets was shot precisely to express all the emotions of this story. The nation’s leading art director Dae Suyeon took part in making this music video.
In addition, the official in charge of styling and art, “The overall look and feeling is dark and grotesque. For intense visuals, special outfits and hats were made with the help of famous designer Song Hyemyung.”
The music video has an explosive reaction. The video immediately ranked high in domestic search portal sites and fans from around world commented, “I’m so excited I can’t even sit properly.”, “ He looked so perfect in the teaser video. Am I going to be alive after the video? Lol.”
On the other hand, Kim Jaejoong’s solo mini-album will be released offline on Jan 17. In addition, he will have a concert ‘Your, My, and Mine’ on Jan 26-27 to be held in Kintex Ilsan. All 16,000 seats are sold out.

Well… I commented on Soompi because I think that as fans we need to spread the word beyond (FAR beyond) JYJ3. So I make it a point to go out there and say what I think. Sometimes (I’m not gonna lie) it gets ugly. There are mean little kids out there with a chip on their shoulders, time on their hands and an internet connection. Need I say more.
Still I think that in light of what the guys themselves have just been through over the last 3 years, the very least we can do is channel them a bit insofar as being able to post bravely on boards traditionally held to being “Hostile.”
JYJ Fighting! Kim Jaejoong Fighting!
Thank you for the work! When you became fan long enough and got used to the ugliness of Kpop, those annoying netizens will just be the air because most of jyj’s fans don’t even care about them
))). What we need to do is just spread this video, let more people know about it. Everyone is entitle to their opinions so if they like it or love it we have new fans :p if they don’t, leave them, if they’re being rude, don’t even give a f****
)))))))). At least that what I do now
))
@Anhtran
Agree, agree, agree!
@lilibaiyu
because we are mature enough to do just that.
We can’t control what other people think. So like what @anhtran said, ignore them
And Yes, I did spread this vid around and also One Kiss. Hopefully my circle of critical friends in fb like them. Now I’m nervous like it’s my song… Kekeke…
JYJ and Kim Jaejoong fan hwaiting!!
@Michelle
JYJ have such wonderful fans. They are the strongest, the most resilient, the bravest people I have ever met. And I love them all. xxoo
Gotta spread the good word out there!!! I didn’t mind getting down and dirty as long as the message gets out there (allkpop world)…I have to say “Success!” -kinda proud of myself holding firm ground out there. If JJ can breaks the chains, we (JYJ fans) can to
Oops…difficult typing on phone. I meant “if JJ can break the chains, we (JYJ fans) can too…”
This MV is the result of an incredibly talented artist with very high expectations, working with the nations talented composer, best designers and art director. And the final product is beyond words for me. Awesome is just an understatement.
Wanna bet someone would copy this??
Muahahaaaa…..
i quote…”Wanna bet someone would copy this?? Muahahaaaa…..”

im fans of TVXQ but JYJ always my bias since they in TVXQ and when they separated of course i will support my JYJ.
Just want to share one think u guys know the meaning name of TVXQ right ? if im not wrong it mean The Rising Gods of the East but after JYJ formed i always felt that they are the true The Rising Gods of The East , they started everything from zero from nothing and i SK they like outsider no place for them in their own homeland but here are they stand in their own feet by their own strenght and look all people who outcast them with dignity pride so indeed for me they are truely The Rising Gods of The East , and i want them to shines and fly high upon the sky
and hello for all JYJ fans . . .
Mine music and MV is the best, most overwhelming work of Jaejoong I’ve seen in my entire JaeFan_life.
The music may not appeal to some in the fandom who are used to ballad/dance/R&B/pop but when I listen to audio version only, I realized how fabulous Mine is, when I thought I like OneKiss more at first. KimBada is a great composer and I’m crying for more Jae/kimBada songs and I think I’m not alone since all I can read in my TL are thinking the same, One Kiss and Mine are two Jaejoong’s masterpieces. and of course the other three songs too.
@kris
You know what I like best? There is something for just about everyone. I said before, stretching oneself is the only way to grow. There is more music out there for all the guys to work with. The beauty is that they can do it on their own. This is more precious to me than anything else. I don’t care what it is, as long as it’s something they feel comfortable doing. This is about their lives/careers, not mine.
@BAF
When I first saw the Mine MV, I felt worried, apprehensive … will Jae get the same Ayyy Girl reaction from the fandom itself?, since Mine is apparently a shift of course from what we used to hear from TVXQ5/JYJ music and the dark concept MV which some identify it to be satanic or illuminati on the first glance (some people don’t just care about meaning, they just judge it superficially). I was roaming around the internet yesterday (outside from JYJ3) to read reactions/comments and I’m happy that generally the reaction was positive. There were even great interpretations about the symbolism used in the MV.
Being the first ever Jaejoong’s solo MV (9 years in business and it’s the first seems unbelievable) it’s great it gains appreciation and acceptance even from non-fans who don’t understand the lyrics of the song and have no idea about Jae’s history (which is the guide to interpret the symbolism used.)
@kris
Never, never worry about our fabulous, supremely gifted Jaejoong. He is, as the kids say, WORKIN’ IT, 24-7. He is tireless in his quest to be the best that there ever was. The amazing thing is – he can do it. It’s all logistics and SONGS at this point: he gets that one song that everybody goes gaga over and the rest is history. This is a very very young man. He is driven to be successful. He doesn’t take vacations because he’d rather work. No, never worry about Jaejoong. He’s a survivor, he’s a Winner, big-time.
