It appears to be an amazing start for JYJ Kim Jae Joong’s solo career.
It was revealed that Kim Jae Joong’s first solo album, I has taken over the Hanteo charts, confidently standing at the number one spots for the real time chart, the daily chart, and the weekly chart, beating off fierce competitors like SNSD, CN Blue, and Infinite H.
The feat was achieved within days of the album’s release on January 17.
A C-Jes Entertainment affiliate stated, “He took the weekly, daily, and real time charts just five four* days after the album’s release. These are very astonishing results. We believe that it’s because Kim Jae Joong’s unique music colors fit to what the public were searching for.”
Meanwhile, Kim Jae Joong’s One Kiss also topped the charts in nine countries, further adding success to his first album. Kim Jae Joong will be holding a mini concert and fanmeeting on January 26 and 27.

Wow!!!, Daebak!!!. We knew JJ will break all the chart records in no time! JYJ boys always make a grand entrance and history!
Fighting ! JJ, so proud of you! 😘😘
I like this sentence “JYJ boys always make a grand entrance..” XD
we need a gif for that !
my jae really deserved all this chart sweeping and praises …..his voice the one i fell in love with is just so powerful…i dont think anyone of their generation in south korea can beat Jae ad Junsu in terms of vocals…love their voices much.
I have such a huge smug on my face right now …good thing I’m alone otherwise I would Freak someone out.
Yeah, congrats JJ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I want to quote Camiele ( http://www.yam-mag.com/reviews/music-reviews/jaejoong-kim-i/ )
Kim Jaejoong’s voice is a masterpiece, a complex portrayal of raw emotion that twists and turns, navigating listeners through something completely unlike the whimpering mewls of teen heartthrobs. What most remember of his idol days seems to melt into a hazy oblivion once he takes his first steps into decidedly more adult fare. Those new to Kim Jaejoong will at first be a bit skeptical given his appearance, more flower boy than soul rocker. However, once he opens his voice, there’s a moment of tentative recognition, then shock as they come to the realization that, yes, the man’s voice is powerful.
Oh yes congrats KJJ
@kris
this review is totally true. but also things said is long overdue to be realized only now by many, and Jae antis are bunch of hypocrite prides and denials, continue saying otherwise just to raise skepticism or just playing dumb, afraid facing truth mirror showing images of their foolish self. and yes, the great fan in me has to say he is uncontrollably good,i’m standing firm on this for i also want to justify my own choice since the time i knew him. his success this early on his solo album is an affirmation of my rightful choice and so proud despite things about him being unconditional to me,he has proven again that he is worthy yet humbled and sincere.
relating on the review again, i experienced reverse timing on Jae, i was first skeptical to see him, being drawn and convinced to the power of his vocals but there’s a moment of tentative disbelief, then shock, as i came to realize that such distinctive soothing voice belongs to a man that looks too good to be true.
sis,i feel like hitting the lottery jackpot lately and will keep on winning

.
@maejae
“bunch of hypocrite prides and denials”
I feel sorry for them, they fail to enjoy the glorious fruits of God’s given gift. Listening to every song makes me so thankful that I randomly browse about his ex-group way back early 2010 and when I watched that Begin Secret Code in Tokyo Dome perf, I was dumbfounded. Listening to One Kiss for the first time, I keep on thinking “Why only now Jae?”.This album may be unwelcome for others who just want him to work for JYJ when it comes to music, but thank goodness he finally did it.
Yes, lottery jackpot for REAL!!!
@kris
In Lylisia’s excellent analysis of the song and MV “Mine” she noted how the dark themes, expressions of emerging personal power and the sense of destiny revealed in “Tarantallagra” and “Mine” seemed similar to her. Junsu also felt compelled, in his break-out first solo album to make the listener aware that this wasn’t going to be cute little Angel Xia anymore. He had come into his own, felt his own ability to finally be in control of his artistic voice and the feeling was POWERFUL.
The MV that popped into my head after digesting this interesting premise was the one for “Hug.” Clean, safe, childlike images – the whole MV was like one extended Tony Moley ad. What a stark contrast it was to the darkly dangerous and powerful images we saw in “Mine”! Then I thought of all those photos floating around on the internet of a platinum headed Jaejoong in the teddy bear hat. What teenaged girl alive at the time wouldn’t have wanted one of HIM for Christmas? Cut to the image of the vicious black dog baring it’s fangs menacingly. These are the images that occur to me, Then and Now. Quite a different reality.
Jaejoong, I will gladly accompany you down into the “Mine” of your true, your authentic self. There are precious jewels to be found there.
@lili
What a contrast, Hug and Mine !
Given Tarantallegra and Mine, can you imagine how hard is it for the concept designer/producer of their JYJ’s comeback to maintain or outdo the standard set by Junsu and Jaejoong on their solo works?
@kris

Yikes!! Yes! lol That would make anyone slightly weak in the knees just thinking about it!
so true! omg i just had a funny thought. i wonder what the mc’s of you’ve got talent or those shows would say if he appeared as someone they did not know. like the guy who stuttered very badly but sang very well. this flower boy with the shy appearance belts out one of his new songs and wows them all! hahahahhaha! cause he would!
@koreamon
Imagine him singing One Kiss, Mine and Healing for Myself in a Talent Search Show final round (like American Idol) with all those high notes and excellent internalization of emotions, he’s definitely a champion
Wohoo…..!! Daebak!! Congrats JJ…!!^^
Congratulation Jae Joong!
Congratulation Jaejoong!
This glorious record is really motivating.
Wish this coming weekend & sunday concert a big success as well !
Wohoo..go jj fighting
wohoooo!! daebaaakkkkkkkkk!!!!!!! GO KIM JAEJOONG!!!!!!!! hwaiting!!!!
He deserves this. I know every singers or artists work so hard for their album but if you consider the current mainstream of all K-POP music- Jaejoong’s mini album is worth buying for. I know this album is more in rock genre but we know him as a pops singer and this album also has a ballad song, so I would say this is more pop rock music. I agree with C-Jes’s statement that this album is unique and it is what listeners are seeking for out of those K-POP candy song with the same dance move, No offense though, I like some of them but I really can’t listening to all those songs all the time but I can listening to ‘MINE’ like a hundred time per day, which I really did that till my sister came and told me that you really like this song huh? ha ha ha
I think it’s because Jaejoong’s unique colors look good on everybody.
So true ^^

For me to listen to music over and over. It takes a unique voice and music. picky me hahaha….
Jae Joong did it ^__^
Well deserved,Jaejoong is on top of the mountains.He conqures,he delivers,he wins all of our hearts with his heart.
Jaejoong voice is the core of every great song he’s sang. always hope the best for you Jaejoong!
Daebak!! some fans are worrying about JJ’s sales and cjes did not report the pre-orders. Hope they will gain confidence towards JJ after reading this.
I think the lack of confidence is partly due to the rooted misunderstanding that JJ has less Korean fans than other members(in DBSK and in JYJ). However the fact is that JJ has been popular once he debuted.
JJ has been through a lot. Some things happened on him don’t regularly happen on other people. Some anti fans or fans from other fandoms take the advantage and made rumors trying to destory JJ.
For example,one of the rumors said SM once wanted to eliminate JJ from DBSK because his lack of popularity. Some YJshippers even made a story that Jung Yun Ho begged on his knees asking SM to keep JJ. I mean seriously? What the hell is in these girls’ heads? They created a good image for Jung Yun Ho while ruined JJ’s image. But during the lawsuit, the testimony from SM staff revealed that SM never thought about changing members and even more sarcastically,SM thought three times whether Jung Yun Ho should be debuted as DBSK and it was JJ and JS who begged SM to let him in.
sigh…
@mememe
” But during the lawsuit, the testimony from SM staff revealed that SM never thought about changing members and even more sarcastically,SM thought three times whether Jung Yun Ho should be debuted as DBSK and it was JJ and JS who begged SM to let him in.”
That’s what I believe is the truth. But that’s the K-Pop fandom in a nutshell. Rocked and ready to lead a full-scale panic by every unfounded rumor and bit of disinformation that the Flying Monkeys (or should I now be calling them The Crows) are more than ready to dish out.
Jaejoongie yah, Congratulations! Lets celebrate everyone
