JYJ is preparing to release the first edition of its magazine, The JYJ.
Created to commemorate JYJ’s 1000 days since the group’s formation, the magazine will feature new images, interviews and other goods from their world tour to their solo activities in musicals and dramas.
The magazine’s release also comes as the group and its agency recently reached an agreement with JYJ’s former agency, SM Entertainment, and also won its lawsuit against its Japanese agency, Avex.
C-Jes Entertainment shared the upcoming release of the magazine is all the more meaningful after the many setbacks and difficulties the group faced during the past few years. The agency also felt the magazine would hold special meaning for the many fans who have still supported and loved the JYJ members all the years.
The JYJ members spent over 25 hours being interviewed for the 139-page magazine and special DVD.
The members candidly shared on their difficult periods, the special people who provided the strength and courage for them during that time and other personal topics.
The JYJ members said about the magazine, “Looking back on our 1000 days, there were a lot of hard times but we can also say we were truly happy. Though there were things that we didn’t foresee, it allowed us to work harder and improve. We want to share that happiness we felt each morning and when we went to sleep every night during these 1000 days with our fans.”
The magazine will be released simultaneously in Korea and Japan in early February and can be purchased online through the C-Jes store homepage and the JYJ Japanese homepage.

[NEWS] JYJ Will Release a 1000th Day Magazine!
JYJ will release a magazine to commemorate their 1000th day in South Korea and Japan. C-JeS Entertainment stated, “We are going to release a magazine titled ‘The JYJ’ which is a celebratory interview magazine commemorating JYJ’s 1000thday. The magazine contains the records of everything that JYJ has done after their debut. This includes their worldwide English album, world tour, solo acts, musical appearances, and drama appearances.
C-JeS Entertainment even spoke about the recent settlement with SM Entertainment regarding JYJ’s contract status. They stated, “JYJ had a long legal fight that lasted 3 years because of an unfair contract. JYJ has gained more freedom. On top of that, it is even more meaningful because JYJ has helped other upcoming idols have better contractual conditions than before. Through the interview in the magazine, JYJ has talked about the hard times they went through because of the ‘restrictions’ they received.”
C-JeS Entertainment’s CEO stated that he and JYJ wanted to use this chance to give a magazine that could be memorable to fans who have stuck with JYJ till the end.
JYJ said of the magazine, “Looking back at the 1,000 days there were a lot of difficult times but we can honestly say that we were happy. We tried very hard and there were hard times we did not anticipate. But, through these hardships we learned a lot and grew. We want to tell fans the happy days we felt throughout these 1,000 days.”
The “The JYJ” magazine contains nearly 25 hours of interview content and is consisted of 139 pages. There is also a special DVD that comes with the magazine. “The JYJ” magazine will begin selling throughout South Korea and Japan in early February.

139 pages?! And here I hoped somebody would translate the articles in English…
But it’s like translating a freaking book! 
I wonder if we’ll ever know what really happened behind the scenes during their work as DBSK and these last three years. If they lived in the US they would be writing their memoirs already and it would be bestseller for sure. 
But I think except little hints here and there, we’ll never know.

OK, well, I anticipated that many I-fans were not going to be thrilled with the ‘Korea and Japan only” thing so I wrote a comment on the JYJ Official FB page just now asking for ALL fans to be included in these promotions. If you’re unhappy, you might want to just go, find the announcement post and also write a comment about wanting a version of the magazine in English. I didn’t think of that.
