Dear JYJ3 Readers,
We are pleased to update you on the results of JYJ’s Donation Project for Save the Children’s China Earthquake 2013 Children in Emergency Fund.
Thanks to your collective interest in helping Sichuan Earthquake victims as JYJ’s fans, we are happy to report that fans from 19 countries around the world participated in the project. On May 11th, our Project Admin made the donation electronically via Paypal with a final donation amount totaling $1,553.02 USD.
JYJ3 opened this donation project for fans that expressed their wish to prepare a donation together as fans of JYJ. We are continually inspired by JYJ’s words and actions towards those in need and this time JYJ’s message to fans all over the world through LINE led us to action. The success of this project is due to fans’ generosity towards the children in Sichuan, China that are facing difficult situations in the aftermath of the earthquake.
We anticipate that the children affected by the Sichuan Earthquake will be able benefit from the donation through relief supplies, the creation of more “child friendly spaces” – safe areas for children to play, learn and socialize, and the improvement of the quality of education in the area.
The full updated document list of names and countries can be accessed via the link below.
We are also providing a copy of our Paypal receipt as proof of our donation to Save the Children.

Donation Project: Save the Children – China Earthquake 2013 Children in Emergency Fund
Donation Deadline: May 5th at 11:59 p.m. EST
On April 20th, an earthquake of 7.0 magnitude, according to China’s earthquake administration, struck Sichuan, China, killing at least 186 people and injuring more than 11,000. According to Save the Children’s press release on the Sichuan earthquake, “We are especially concerned about young children as they are always vulnerable in emergency situations with the possibility of being separated from their parents as they may not know where to go or what to do. Many aftershocks have been recorded and we are expecting more to come.”
JYJ sent their prayers and condolences to the Sichuan earthquake victims through LINE, bringing attention to the situation while speaking out of their concern for those affected. JYJ has consistently shown their dedication in giving to and supporting charitable causes over the years and through this message they have once again inspired their fans to action.
Several fansites based in China have already started donation projects to help the victims of the Sichuan earthquake. To show solidarity with their efforts and to offer our help in aiding those affected, JYJ3 is opening a donation project for International Fans. The project will run from today until May 5th at 11:59 EST and all funds collected will be donated to Save the Children’s China Earthquake 2013 Children in Emergency Fund in the name of JYJ’s International Fans.
Through this project we hope to answer JYJ’s encouragement of “JYJ fans all over the world” to support Sichuan earthquake victims with “our warm heart.” We will do this by directing our donation efforts towards those that are especially vulnerable, the children affected by this disaster.
