JYJ member Kim Jun-su’s rare appearance on nationwide television on April 30 has sparked new interest in the opposition New Politics Alliance for Democracy lawmaker Choi Min-hee and her “JYJ law.”
Choi tabled a revised law on April 14 that aims to prevent broadcasters from banning or blacklisting artists without a justifiable reason and the main beneficiaries of this revised law, if passed, will undoubtedly be JYJ.
Kim’s performance on EBS’s “Space Sympathy” marked his first appearance on a televised music production in six years.
Choi seems to think an understanding between SM and the broadcasters is behind JYJ’s prolonged absence from such programs, and industry insiders agree, saying broadcasters do not find it necessary to cross swords with entertainment cartels such as SM.
“Despite the Fair Trade Commission’s (FTC) request in July 2013 for JYJ’s previous agency to refrain from interfering with the group’s business activities, JYJ is still unable to perform on televised music shows because of unfair corporate practices on the parts of major broadcasters,” Choi said in a statement.
The revision included sanctions against such broadcasters.
Acoustic duo Acourve will participate in SBS drama ‘The Girl Who Can See Smells’ OST.
‘The Girl Who Can See Smells OST Part.7 ‘Honey’’ has guitar sound and percussion rhythm with Acourve’s sweet voice.
The group debuted last year with ‘What I Want To Say’ and it is called as Indie blue chip since it becomes a hot issue every time it releases single albums. Recently, its first solo concert was all sold-out and Apink’s Jung Eun Ji pointed the group as the best indie song during an interview.
‘Honey’ is produced by Windmill who made group Acoustic Collabo and its interesting lyrics and unique vocal color are highlighting the song. It will be released on April 30 at noon.
Meanwhile, ‘The Girl Who Can See Smells’ airs on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

M.C THE MAX participated for the soundtrack of SBS drama ‘The Girl Who Sees Smells.’
The song, ‘Because of you,’ showcases M.C. THE MAX’s dynamic charms and shows the great sense of drummer Jeon Min Hyuk and bassist Jae Yi Yoon. The vocalist of the band, Lee Soo, is part of the ‘South Korea Top 4 Vocals’ along with Park Hyo Shin, Kim Bum Soo, and Naul. ‘Because of you’ is a track that can fit right into M.C THE MAX’s album, creating a great song for a drama OST.
The song starts with a simple keyboard instrumental, creating the gentle base for the introduction where the drum, bass, and addition of string instruments come in for a grand orchestra sound that reminds of a waltz. Lee Soo perfectly depicts the emotions of a man who misses his lover after breaking up. Listening to his voice, it deafens the heart. With the combination of everything, another one of M.C. THE MAX’s hit OSTs has been made.
Along with the track, the music video containing clips from the drama will also be released. The music video will highlight the love line between Park Yoo Chun and Shin Se Kyung. From sweet affectionate scenes to missing each other’s path and worrying, the video raises anticipation for the progress of the drama.
Meanwhile, ‘Because of you’ will be released on April 23 at noon through online music sites.

Jemini has released a MV for the OST Part.4 of the drama, The Girl Who Sees Smell” titled, “I’ll Pray Everyday.”
The drama features popular artist and actor, JYJ’s Yoochun, and Shin Sekyung, who is popular for many roles including High Kick and Tazza: the Hidden Card.
The Girl Who Sees Smells (냄새를 보는 소녀) Two people are brought together by their connection to a horrible event and work together to solve the case. Choi Moo Gak (Park Yoochun) lost his younger sister, Eun Seol (Kim So Hyun), in a senseless killing known as the “Bar Code Murders” three years ago.
“‘I’ll pray everyday’ is another fine ballad made by the composer-team Red Socks, who is very active in the field as composing ‘I miss you so much by Acoustic Collabo’ in Discovery of Love OST and ‘In the time that I loved you by Xia Junsu’ in Mr.Baek OST, and Jemini who has already proven her talent in the Birth of a beauty OST. Jemini is a new singer who drew a lot of attention by singing the main theme of Han Ye Seul in the ‘Birth of a beauty’, the weekend soap opera of SBS.
Although it is a major ballad song, it pathetically expresses the heart of Oh Cho Rim by applying the minor scale at the introduction. As the song flows to the latter part, you can feel why Jemini should sing this song with her voice.”
