[NEWS] 130510 ′Rooftop Prince′ Makes It Into Mainstream Japanese Television
Rooftop Prince, starring Park Yoo Chun and Han Ji Min, will be airing in a mainstream channel in Japan.
According to the webpage of channel TBS, Rooftop Prince will air every weekday from June 3 through itsHallyu Select program.
It added, “Rooftop Prince is a drama that garnered support from fans from as much as 36 countries around the world, as they tuned in live to the drama when it aired in Korea. Park Yoo Chun even came to decorate the covers of magazines before Rooftop Prince was to air in Japan. He will come to steal viewers′ hearts with his witty acting and his perfect role.”
Rooftop Prince already aired through KNTV in July 2012, and also went on to air on WOWOW channel after it enjoyed immense popularity. Its DVD has been popular in sales.
A local official said, “After JYJ′s legal issues came to a conclusion and it successfully performed at the Tokyo Dome, the group has become even more popular.”
Rooftop Prince is about how Joseon′s Crown Prince Lee Gak (Park Yoo Chun) goes 300 years into the future to fall in love with Park Ha (Han Ji Min).

[NEWS] 130402 DVD of ′Rooftop Prince′ to be Released in Japan
Rooftop Prince will be going to Japan on DVD.
A Japanese media outlet reported on April 1 that “Rooftop Prince, starring JYJ′s Park Yoo Chun, will be released on blu-ray and DVD on April 5. The DVD will contain the drama′s 20 episodes as well as behind-the-scenes videos and interviews with the actors.”
Rooftop Prince is about how the Crown Prince Lee Gak (Park Yoo Chun) of Joseon jumps 300 years into the future after losing his Crown Princess.
The drama′s last episode concluded with the highest ratings for its time slot, and Park Yoo Chun and Han Ji Min went on to win many awards at the SBS Drama Awards.
Japanese fans also voted the drama the most anticipated drama of 2012 in a poll taken before the drama was to air in Korea.
In the meantime, JYJ is currently in Japan for its Tokyo Dome concert to take place from April 2-4.

1) You don’t get the feeling that Yuchun is young and that this is only his third drama. I thought that, together with him, we will be the driving power on-site, but in actual fact, I was the most dependent one. When the weather is cold, I will keep yelling that it’s cold, but I have never seen Yuchun do that.
2) Yuchun does not sleep much. Although I think it is probably because he grew up as an idol singer and is used to working through the night, but once his shoot is over, he lies down and immediately falls asleep, snoring away. (laughs)

Park Yoo-Cheon confessed that Han Ji-Min shivered more when they had a kiss scene. Kim Min-Jong and Yoon Jin-Yi of ‘Gentle Man’s Dignity’ and Park Yoo-Cheon and Han Ji-Min of ‘Rooftop Prince’ received best couple award at ‘2012 SBS Acting Awards’.
Park Yoo-Cheon said, “I thought our couple fits well, and I am very thankful toward the award” and Han Ji-Min said, “I want to thank the fans, viewers and Park Yoo-Cheon.” To the question ‘Who shivered more while the kiss scene?’, Park Yoo-Cheon answered, “I shivered, but I tried to make Ji-Min shiver more than I did.” About this, Jeong Ryeo-Won showed jealousy.

[NEWS] 130101 JYJ’s Park Yoo Chun wins Best Couple with Han Ji Min and serenades for her
Singer and actor Park Yoo Chun has serenaded a song for actress Han Ji Min.
On the 2012 SBS Drama Awards that was held in the SBS Prism Tower in Sangdam-dong, Seoul, on December 31, Rooftop Prince stars Park Yoo Chun and Han Ji Min won Best Couple along with Gentleman’s Dignity stars Kim Min Jong and Yoon Jin Yi.
When emcee Jung Ryeo Won asked “Who was more nervous when doing a kiss scene?” the JYJ member replied, “I was really nervous, so I tried to come up with how to make Ji Min feel more nervous.”
Emcee Lee Dong Wook quipped, “I envy you. I won Best Couple with Shin Dong Yeop. Will you serenade for your parter?”
On Lee’s request on the spot, Park covered Yoo Jae Ha’s “Keeping You In My Arm,” which elicited hot responses and applaud from the audience.
