When it was announced that JYJ’s Kim Jaejoong would have a November 3 fan meeting, I took it as a sign that I should finally attend and support him. It’s a long weekend for us Filipinos so the timing was perfect.
There were three of us who took the PAL flight to Jakarta on All Saints’ Day. We were very excited, even prepared fan gifts representing our country, the Philippines.
We safely arrived in Jakarta around midnight. Took airport shuttle to Aston Marina that became our temporary crib.
On the day of the fan meet, we took a cab going to MEIS (the venue). At the lobby, there were booths for fan gifts, tickets and another for official merchandise. RockJJ and Maze (dedicated fan groups) provided fans with banners, glow sticks and wristbands for free. There were also vendors outside selling unofficial JYJ items.
We forgot to eat lunch due to excitement. So while we had time to hang out, I had a burger and soda. But I can’t even taste anything anymore due to overwhelming emotion that I’ll finally see Jaejoong in person. I took a dose of Biogesic just in case. Hehe.

VIVAlife- A long wait from a loyal fans of Kim Jaejoong in Indonesia, paid of. On 3 November, the singer and actor is fulfilling his promise to meet directly with the fans on the series of fan meeting Tour in Asia.
Indonesia became the third stop after China and Thailand. Unlike his previous fan meeting, this time Kim jaejoong just doing a group photo session and shook hand with all the fans who attendance.
Due to a less healthy condition, Jaejoong by Monica Ohm of SH Entertainment revealed an apology, because he can not sing and perform also to meet the media.
“Prior to Indonesia, Kim Jaejoong was not feeling well, so it must be examined hospital in Korea. Doctors advised him to rest. However, Jaejoong himself want to met the fans who stay in Indonesia, “said Monica through messages sent via email.
Although Jaejoong could not make a sound at all, he still wanted to meet directly with fans who look forward to it. Group photo session and even shake a request from Jaejoong himself, who wants to make wonderful memories with fans.
Before the Fan meeting event, (it) starts by reading a letter of apology from Jaejoong by the host. Jaejoong wrote this letter to express (his) remorse, because he can not talk, laugh, and sing for the fans.
He was grateful for all the support from fans Indonesia, although it is quite far away from Korea. Jaejoong was hoping to experience a fun time with the fans. Via email that he sent to VIVAlife, Jaejoong also sent a message of his love and express his gratitude to all his fans in Indonesia.
“I am always grateful to you. Fans is the source of my happiness. This was my first visit to Indonesia. Thank you for having welcomed me warmly,” Jaejoong said.

Despite his doctor’s advice not to travel, JYJ Jaejoong showed his persistency to continue his journey to Jakarta, Indonesia, for his first ever fanmeet in the country on 3 November 2012. However, due to his well-being getting worse, press conference was held without his appearance and the fanmeet where interactions and songs should be sung, was also not done.
Monica Ohm from SH Entertainment explained his situation that “his health condition was not good. The doctor in the hospital had adviced him to rest. But he persisted to come to Indonesia to continue with his fanmeet because he wanted to meet all his fans who had waited for him for a long time.”

Q : How do you feel when you came to Indonesia for the first time ?
Kim Jaejoong : A member of JYJ some time ago had a concert and meeting, I heard that Indonesia was very good so i also wanted to came here. Jakarta is a great city. The atmosphere really similar with Seoul so i felt familiar.
This is my first time for visit Indonesia, but thank you for accepting me very well. Although yesterday many of fans who came to greet me in Airport but because of a security reason, i can’t greet them (the fans). I want to gift a happy time at a fanmeeting !.
Q : What exactly are you doing in Hongkong last week ? we heard about the making of the MV, is that true ?
Kim Jaejoong : Yes, it became my junior first debut who really talented, Baek Seung Hun. In the title song “Until the Sun Rises” i wrote the lyrics and starred the music video in Hongkong. In order to Seung hun to achieve his dream, i wanted to help him as much as i can.

It wasn’t a beautiful woman nor the most cheerful and supportive fans of JYJ Jaejoong that took his heart away during his first fanmeeting last weekend (3/11) in Jakarta, Indonesia. So who really stole his heart away?
With the rare close encounter opportunity as a surprise, thousands of fans were even more excited and overwhelmed, racking their brains on what to say or do in front of the ‘Ice Prince’. In their attempt to attract attention, fans were whispering in his ears and sneaky hands were sighted during the photo-taking session though instructions were clearly; no touching. Sadly none of it worked as the ‘Ice Prince’ gave equal attention to every fan in the very brief moment they each had.
However, one fan succeeded not only in attracting his attention, but making him cross the boundaries of no physical contact by just simply being herself. Living like a Dream.. yup perfectly sums up that 3hours of Jaejoong moment I just had..
I can’t believe that a time will come that i’ll be doing my own fan account and not be reading someone else’s experience.. I am probably writing a long one here so congratulations to those who’ll manage to finish reading this piece till the end LOLL! Fighting!! (and mianhe)
