It’s been 3 days since XIA concert in Bangkok and my memory is starting to get vague but the emotions still linger. If you have a chance to watch Junsu live, don’t hesitate at all because he is too awesome for words. After going back to my country, I have watched some fancams from the Bangkok concert, hoping they could revive the awesome moments for me but they are not helping at all. Fancams really don’t give Junsu’s voice any justice whatsoever, they now all sound so flat to my ears. I wish I were rich enough to tour all over Asia with him T___T
My flight landed at 11.45am Sunday 27/05, in Bangkok and after going around the airport hopelessly to look for one of my friends, I took a metered taxi heading straight away to Siam Paragon where the concert is going to be held. By the time I got there, there were already hundreds of fans crowded in front of the entrance waiting to exchange the tickets and buy official goods. At the information desk in front of the entrance, JYJBox staffs were selling their fangoods and they were showing the video of Junsu greeting Thai fans there as well. While wandering around, I met Lyn from Indonesia, May from Malaysia and Goy from Thailand. (Really nice to meet you girls ~ You guys are all so nice to me!!!) Lyn told me that we could get the tickets at 3pm and the goods would start being sold at 3.30pm so I’d better go to my hostel, check-in then come back but I was so excited that I didn’t want to leave at all so after picking up my picnicxiah goods, a friend and I looked around the lobby then suddenly at 2.20pm, everyone started rushing and Lyn texted me that we could already exchange the tickets. Kim Jun-su, known best as a member of the boy band JYJ, kicked off his Asia solo tour on Sunday in Bangkok. More than 1,000 fans gathered to greet him at the airport.
Ahead of his show, which took place at the Royal Paragon Hall, the Hallyu singer met with more than 100 journalists to talk about his show and tour.
“I’m thrilled to kick off my tour of Asia in Thailand. I want tonight’s show to set a precedent for other great shows to come,” the entertainer said.
He also said that as a solo artist he will try new things and break away from the cookie-cutter mold of K-pop to find his own identity.
“It’s a bit progressive and shocking,” Kim said of his title track “Tarantallegra.”
With his new direction, Kim said he hoped to become a trend setter rather than a mere follower in the K-pop industry.
When journalists asked which song he most looked forward to singing at his 4,000-seat sell-out show, he replied, “Lullaby.”

For his solo activities, JYJ’s Kim Junsu kicked off the first leg of his Asia tour in Thailand successfully.
Last week on the 27th, Kim Junsu performed in Bangkok, Thailand’s Royal Paragon venue under the title “Xia’s first Asia Tour in Bangkok”. He wowed over 4,000 fans who were in attendance. Especially after Junsu’s title track ‘Tarantallegra’ mv was released on Youtube, there was extreme interest and warm response from fans.
For the sake of his fans, on the day of the concert in Bangkok, Junsu prepared a “talk show session” where he showcased his cute “aegyo” to his fans (Boo-ing Boo-ing, “I love you, kiss kiss”) as well as saying “It is really nice to meet everyone once again.”
Through songs such as “Breathe” and “Fever,” Kim Junsu was able to showcase his perfect choreography and dynamic moves– while in songs such as “You’re so Beautiful” and “I hate love,” he was able to demonstrate his impressive (emotional) vocal ability. Read More →
