[Fanaccount] 111029 JYJ’s Concert in Barcelona, Spain: “It was an experience that I can’t wait to repeat!”
I’m ready to share my feelings about JYJ concert in Barcelona.
First thing I want to say: I saw once again how our love for JYJ can overcome any border and any cultural barrier and assemble people from around the world.
Through the variety of people lined up hours before the concert, I could hear dozens of different languages at once: Arabic, Chinese, English, French, German, Korean, Japanese, Dutch, English, Spanish, Portuguese… This was the living representation of affection for these resolute guys, a colorful and heartwarming microcosm: the United Nations under the aegis of JYJ.
While queueing, I had the pleasure to get acquainted with a group of a dozen of Japanese obasan, that were impressed by the fact that a middle-aged Italian couple was present there to see the concert and above all that my bias was Jaejoong.
It was really funny that they were amazed that we had made a flight of an hour and a half when they flew half of the world for only 3 days in Barcelona and exclusively to attend JYJ concert.
They told me that they were present at last week concert in Japan and at the one in June. They even participate in almost all events in Korea. This is what I call dedication.
They weren’t obsessed 15 year old fans but a diverse and passionate group of 40-70 years women . The best among them was a funny lady in her late 60, in love with Jaejoong, wearing a Hello Kitty mask!
We exchanged our point of views on our secured between exclamations of wonder ‘Sugoi’, ‘Kakkoi’, looking at Jae’s pictures on our respective phones. The ladies were amazed by me flaunting few words of my “flawless” Japanese and my “erudite” knowledge of kanji. Actually, I was helped by a wonderful Japanese girl living in Rome that acted as interpreter for us (Mami-san thank you for everything!). She wasn’t a JYJer before attending the showcase at Salon del Manga in the morning, she was only accompanying her aunt that came from Japan. Then, after the event, she converted herself to JYJ religion. JaeChunSu power!
We took some photos and we exchanged email addresses.
It was a pity that I lost sight of them entering the venue and I couldn’t find them throughout the place.

Since we were in Barcelona since days before the concert, we wanted to visit the city (I was with two friends) and he kinda hoped to see the boys in turistic place, like Sagrada Familia, but in the end, it was a fail, they were always reahearsing.
The biggest adrenalin shot we got was on thursday, while we were wondering where we should dinner and suddenly, Junsu tweeted a pic of the restraurant he was in. The name of the restaurant was visible on the pic, so we checked it up on internet and saw that it was only two subway stations from our youth hostel. And the price were totally affordable (almost cheap), we had found our restaurant for the evening ! When we went there, we thought we were gonna see a crowd of fans, but saw only a few asian girls, probably here for the same reasons as us. We half expected that he was not here anymore when we arrived, and sadly we were right : he had already left *fail*.
We ate there nevertheless. I sent a text to my friend Sara, syaing that we missed Junsu, and she told me she just met Jaejoong and Yoochun at another restaurant. I was mfpovjugedpjuherûffuuuuuuuuhhémaekrnhjpyu *double fail.*
Well, at least thanks to Junsu, we had a nice meal, because the restaurant was really good, even if I realized at the moment of paying that I had lost my credit card while taking the tickets for Salon del manga *triple fail* (last year, when I saw JYJ in bangkok, I had already lost my credit card… that must be a JYJ/me curse u_u)

Boy band JYJ opened a new chapter in K-pop history on Saturday by staging a solo concert in Europe for a first time among Korean performers. They staged a successful concert in Poble Espanyol, an open-air architectural museum in Barcelona, Spain.
Since the venue was located in a heritage site, they were not allowed to use special effects such as fireworks, and the size of the concert was by necessity restricted.

At 6:50 am I get up, eat breakfast, dress myself and leave home
At 8:45 am I climb into the bus, I can’t believe I’m going to Barcelona. I’m going alone but soon I meet all of my traveling companions: Sara, Andrea, Mark, Indira, Stefany, Rachel and Dolo.
At 1:30 pm We arrive at the Poble Espanyol! My nerves increased and concert posters are appearing as we get closer
At 4:00 pm Trouble in line, people get nervous. Have to wait, I meet Yiyi’s mother, she comes later and almost at 1 hour of the concert appeared her cousin(a guy) and her aunt. Also Vanessa, Mary, Martha and Sarah. We all are tired but looking forward! We help each other, it’s great. There are many Koreans and people asked to take some pictures with them and also Korean press photographers as well, (they are quite handsome) all of them are very nice and they are also surprised by the commotion they’re causing.
Suddenly, small groups of people crowd around some Koreans, they are handing out desserts, stickers and palm of JYJ. How cool!
At 4:30 pm appears the Korean press, we number us to to keep our sites, I was called to sign the banner and then the press takes me photos (How embarrassing!)
I climb back to my site in the line (the Poble Espanyol is in the mountains of Montyui) and was approached by a Korean journalist who asked me if I speak English and if I can be interviewed.
I say yes and he asked my name, my age and begins with the questions:
Why I like JYJ?, Who is my favorite member? What do I think of Kpop? And if know other groups.

[NEWS] JYJ Holds First Concert in Barcelona
On the night of October 29, the sky was filled with JYJ’s beautiful harmony in Barcelona. In response, the roar of 3,000 wide-eyed fans was heard as well. This was the day JYJ kicked off their tour in Europe.
Group JYJ debuted in Europe as the first South Korean artists to hold a solo concert in Barcelona, Spain.
At Poble Espanyol, JYJ held their concert outdoors for two hours and met not only their Spanish fans, but also fans from Italy, France, Netherlands, Switzerland, and other European countries.
In order to see their beloved group and get good seats for the concert, many of the 3,000 fans arrived early to stand in line outside the venue, while some even pitched tents outside the night before and proceeded to sleep there.
After observing the dedicated European fans, JYJ gave the fans passionate performances that rivaled most of their previous ones. All the guests finished entering the venue thirty minutes before the concert started and began chanting the names of JYJ members. As the chanting began, JYJ appeared on stage with matching white suits and opened the concert with “Empty,” the title song in their worldwide album, “The Beginning.”
