We’ve been reporting that JYJ would be heading to Los Angeles this week to begin prepartions for the North American leg of their ‘2011 World Tour‘. On May 16, JYJ’s Jaejoong and Junsu held a press conference to answer questions regarding their upcoming tour. Unfortunately, Yoochun was not able to attend due to his prior engagements in Korea.
The press conference was held at the Clive Davis Theater at the GRAMMY Museum in Los Angeles. Initially, there was an awkward tension in the air because of how there were only two chairs on stage. It was immediately broken by Jaejoong’s entrance as he greeted the press with a casual “Hi” before stepping onto the stage with Junsu. Hilariously, Jaejoong noted that the chair was a bit too high for him, and caused a chuckle to reverberate through the room.
The press conference took on a more official air when C.S. Hah, the founder of Powerhouse Entertainment, brought about the first question of the day.
EXCLUSIVE: JYJ launches North American tour with press conference in LA
The conference was held at the Grammy Museum portion of Los Angeles’ LA LIVE! Entertainment Complex. The 200-seat Clive Davis theater played host to the media and JYJ, and offered an intimate setting for JYJ’s first official press conference on US soil. Read More →

JYJ was so hot that they literally set off the fire alarm prior the start of the JYJ World Tour (North America) Press Conference at the Grammy Museum. With high hopes and expectations JYJ descends on America and Canada with the North American leg of their World Tour. Conducted in both Korean and English, JYJ is ready to show why they are one of the greatest Korean idol groups.
Without Yoochun (prior commitments), Jaejoong and Junsu spoke with ease and excitement as they addressed the press about the tour and what fans can expect (hint: sexy and sensual). They are happy to be able to meet their international fans in the States and Canada and are looking forward to making memories and seeing everyone at the concert. Jaejoong personally talked about his experience in directing the show. He stated that he loves the challenge and is looking forward to putting on a good show with the joint effort of all those involved with the tour. Jaejoong and Junsu both explained that even though they may not be able to speak English like Yoochun they enjoy the challenge and will do their best to put on a good show and hope everyone will have fun and have an unforgettable experience with them. With a heartfelt and simple “Thank You,” JYJ exited the same way the entered, HOT and READY for their upcoming tour. For the many older lady fans (me included), JYJ is ready to show their NOONAS (Korean for older sister) a concert experience only JYJ can produce and have. For those who haven’t gotten their tickets, get them now before they are sold out.
