The below account by a Korean fan who has been involved in the fan efforts for JYJ shows two things. (A) SM has filed another lawsuit against JYJ for 2.2 billion KRW (approximately 2.2 million USD) by claiming that JYJ is responsible for the cancellation of the Concert in Shimchun. (B) The question of whether an exclusive contract exists between SM and JYJ has been settled conclusively (that there is none) but SM is causing delay in their discussion with JYJ on the amount of damages it needs to pay JYJ on the main suit (by JYJ against SM), and so the outcome of the main suit is being delayed.
The lawsuit over the Concert in Shimchun was filed by SM on April 14, 2010. (See here for article)
What about the Concert in Shimchun?
Currently, SM has filed a lawsuit against JYJ with the following claim: “Because JYJ disaffirmed the schedules unilaterally after the verdict for the Injunction was given, JYJ caused tremendous damage to the remaining 2 members. (1) We seek the court’s confirmation of the existence of the exclusive contract between SM and JYJ. (2) We also seek 2.2 billion KRW (approximately 2.2 million USD) as a portion of our damages incurred due to the cancellation of the Concert in Shimchun and also for the fee received for modeling for a cosmetics company.”
As for (1) the exclusive contract, it is a moot issue. Under both the legal precedent and the measures by the Fair Trade Commission, SM has reduced the contract duration for its entertainers to 7 years. There is no need for further discussion. Read More →
Now this. This is a good music video.
Beautifully shot, beautifully choreographed, and more than anything, beautifully styled boys. In suits. Say all you want about suits being overdone and generic, but they’re overdone and generic for a reason.
Honestly, the formula to a successful music video isn’t that hard. You don’t need an elaborate story line, or a mini KDrama angst fest. You also don’t need to have flashy lighting, slow-motion camera effects, dilapidated ancient Greek foregrounds, questionable CGI effects, or have your subjects painted as surreal demi-gods of some sort. Okay, we all know what I’m getting at. But after this good job of an MV, I can assure you all the “Ayy Girl” music video cracks will decrease significantly.
As previously mentioned, this music video is impeccably shot. The camera work here is stellar- zooming, tilting, and shaking, all in time with the music itself. Seriously, in the scenes with Jaejoong clutching the fencing, he looks absolutely feral, in the best way possible.
For the first time ever, the number of idol groups promoting in the market will hit 100 by the end of the year. Their popularity is often determined by their fans, but what do the professionals in the industry think of them?
Out of the 30 vocal trainers, 8 of them chose 2AM. Cho Hong Kyung, the director of a vocal academy, explained, “As a ballad group that needs to have their vocal talent stand out, they have a strong foundation. SHINee tries to sing on par with the actual CD recording as they can, which makes them just as impressive, but 2AM is just a bit above them.”
SHINee followed closely behind, earning a total of five votes. Vocal trainer Cho Hye Young praised, “SHINee has the ability to express their songs in a unique color. Their musicality is also excellent.”
Big Bang and JYJ tied at third with four votes each. Commenting on Big Bang, trainers stated, “They’re a very unique team that can take any song and express it in their own style.“ As for JYJ, ”The members each have exceptional talent.”

This is what the scent of a man is!
Group JYJ has recently stepped out as the models for a pharmaceutics. After bringing us to tears with their sad MV for “In Heaven“, JYJ is back to bring us the sexy in their new MV for “Get Out“!
The music video. The video begins with the JYJ members sitting in their sexy cars (Yes, those are their real cars!) staring at the girl getting all cozy with another guy. They then call the girl up to see what she’s doing and she lies to them in front of their face…except she doesn’t know they’re right in front of her. (Which is ridiculous because how do you not notice a BRIGHT red car with a sexy man in the driver’s seat right in front of you?) I don’t know about anyone else, but a good looking guy driving a dream-like car will definitely catch my eyes within seconds but anyways, they continue to glare at her with an angry/hurt look. -Cue sexy dancing time- Later, we see the girl trying to get away from the guy, possibly because she’s feeling guilty about cheating on JYJ or yet an even better reason, she finally realizes she hasn’t been in her right mind to cheat on the the sexy beings known as JYJ. What she doesn’t know, however, is that JYJ has already caught onto her scandalous ways. She then realizes that it’s too late when JYJ walks up to her looking mighty fine in their black suits and gives her this look as if saying, “You just lost the sexiest thing in your life.” The video then parts with JYJ walking away towards the light while leaving the girl in the darkness.
