What do JYJ’s members think of Kim Jaejoong’s 1st solo album?
JYJ Kim Jaejoong released his debut solo album ‘I’ on the 17th. In an interview conducted recently at a cafe located in Apgujeong-dong, Seoul, Kim Jaejoong talked about the reactions of JYJ’s members Park Yoochun and Kim Junsu toward his album.
“It’s a little bit awkward to say it with my mouth…” Kim Jaejoong began to talk, “After listening to One Kiss, Yoochun said ‘Jaejoong-ie hyung is really good at singing. This song is so great’.”
Kim Jaejoong said, “Yoochun likes emotional music more than dance music. So, he listened to One Kiss then said ‘I must have a drink now’.”
Kim Junsu’s most favorite song is ‘Mine’. Kim Jaejoong explained, “I released a single of rock genre called ‘Maze’ before. Ever since then, Junsu said ‘One day when hyung releases a solo album, it must be of hard rock’. I think that’s why he likes ‘Mine’.”
JYJ’s Kim Jun Su was recently selected as the most popular foreign artist in China.
Kim received 63.7 percent of the approval rating and was selected as the most popular foreign artist by BTV variety show Music Billboard. Justin Beiber ranked second and Madonna ranked eighth.
On the January 8 episode of the show, Kim ranked first thanks to his single “Thank U For,” which was released in Christmas season.
Kim has become even more popular in China in 2012. Music videos for his first solo EP title “Tarantallegra” and his single “Uncommitted” ranked first on Yin Yue Tai, the biggest Chinese music video chart.
When Kim arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport in July, 2012 to hold his concert, over 1,000 fans and 20 media outlets have gathered to see him.
Kim successfully completed the ’2012 XIA Ballad & Musical Concert with Orchestra’ at the end of the last year.
Whether it was movies or dramas, all of the JYJ members kept busy this year with various solo projects, but Kim Junsu chose to stick to music in 2012, and if the headlines are any indication, it’s a good thing he did.
From selling out concert tickets to crashing servers, Kim Junsu lived up to fans’ high expectations.
His solo album Xia – Tarantallegra became the best-selling album in Gaon Chart’s history. But the singer was full steam ahead, as he released another single album Uncommitted in August.
It′s clear Kim Junsu put a spell on his fans with ‘Tarantallegra’, since his success in 2012 was by all means, magical.
